Yoongi's POV:
I can't believe I did that to RaeJae, all for just the sake of a lesson. Obviously I wasn't thinking straight because of my medication, but I still don't want to think of that as an excuse.
"You've really done it now, Yoongi," I sigh into my pillow, pushing back my embarrassment.
I close my eyes to get some sleep when I hear commotion coming from outside my room. Can't the members be at least a little considerate of me? I need some rest.
After a few sounds of slamming doors I start to get curious. However, not enough to drag my äss out there just to ask what's going on. Whatever it is I'm sure they'll figure it out.
Yup, I'll just sleep through it.
"YOONGI HYUNG!" Jungkook comes bursting through my door.
Or maybe I won't.
"WHAT?" I whine.
"RaeJae is trying to quit Bangtan!" He exclaims, panic all over his face.
"What, why? Did you use her shampoo or something," I laugh, not exactly believing him.
"NO! THIS IS SERIOUS! Namjoon Hyung told her she didn't belong and they got in this huge fight and-"
I get out of my bed before he can finish and run towards the hallway where the rest of the members are. Hoseok is loudly sobbing looking scared out of his mind while V is sitting there, silently letting tears fall.
There's no way she already left, right? She wouldn't leave me without saying good bye? She can't leave me at all. Without her I wouldn't be able to survive.
But she probably doesn't even know that.
"Where is she?" I ask worriedly.
"She went in the elevator," Jimin looks at me with a pain stricken expression.
"Thanks for getting me earlier!" I shout as I sprint down the stairs.
I could really just knock some sense into Namjoon right now but it's obvious whatever happened he didn't mean any of it. I've known him long enough to know at least that much.
"RaeJae, Stop!" I gasp, out of breath from having to sprint down a few flights of stairs. Exercise most certainly isn't my thing.
She looks back at me, looking so emotionally hurt that I can almost feel it. Her hand holding the handle of her suitcase trembles as she just stares at me without saying anything.
I quickly walk over to her, hugging her tight while feeling relief that I found her on time. I don't know everything Namjoon said, but clearly it was enough to make RaeJae want to quit which makes it obvious that it wasn't any good.
"Let's go home," I say after comforting her for a few minutes.
She nods, letting me take her hand as I lead her to the stairs. I could take the elevator with her but I want to see if she'll explain anything else to me while we walk.
"I was really mean to Hyung too," She whispers, pulling her suitcase up each step.
"Let me help," I say, reaching for her suitcase but she won't let me.
"You shouldn't carry heavy things," she frowns, continuing up the stairs behind me.
"You and him can apologize to each other and then we can take it from there," I tell her, still not know the weight of the situation.
"B-but," She stutters, stopping on the stairs, "I'm so embarrassed,"
"It's okay to be, he probably is too. Let's just take this one step at a time," I reassure her, "let's start with apologies first,"
I try to get her to continue up the steps but she doesn't.
"I don't think that will be easy," she frowns.
"They're never easy, but it's part of being a good person," I say.
She nods in agreement, "but I think the boys will make it even harder,"
"Okay, how about we do this," I tell her, "I'll go get Namjoon so that you can sort this out privately. Then we can talk to everyone,"
"Okay," she replies quietly.
"But you need to promise me one thing, and you can't break it," I say in all seriousness.
"What?" She looks up at me.
"If I go get him, you won't move an inch from that step," I point down to it.
"Okay," She says, taking my pinky finger that I held out.
"Wait here, I'll be right back," I hold my hands out and slowly back away from her, making sure she doesn't leave.
Quickly I spin around and sprint back up the steps to our dorm hallway where the boys are all waiting.
"She's gone?!" Jungkook speaks first.
"No, but Namjoon, come with me," I look at him.
"Hyung, I already know I messed up. You don't need to scold me," His eyes fall to the ground.
"Good, you already know," I let out a small laugh, "You're going to talk to her alone first. She's waiting for you, let's go,"
He follows me to the stair case, explaining everything as fast as he can. The things he said were under the pressure of PD-Nim, although he agrees that he could've handled it better.
However, one thing doesn't make sense.
"So PD-Nim doesn't want Rae in the group?" I ask out of concern.
"N-no," He stutters, "Hyung, I lied to you,"
"About what?"
"When I said that RaeJae didn't like you,"
I look at him, sorting out what he said in my mind, "So she does like me?"
"No, Hyung. I'm pretty sure she's in love with you," He corrects me, my heart unconsciously skipping a few beats.
"Yup, you're talking to her right now," I nod, trying to contain the smile that wants to spread across my face.
"But, Hyung. I had to do all of this because PD-Nim doesn't want you and her to happen," he continues to explain.
"Which is why he won't know," I reply, bringing him to where I left RaeJae only to stop.
"Where is she?" He asks.
I don't even answer him, rushing down the stairs and into the lobby. My eyes dart around looking for her but she's nowhere to be seen. Quickly I don't waste any time and run out the doors, looking left and right but still not seeing any sign of her.
"Did she leave?!" Namjoon appears next to me.
"No," I shake my head in disbelief, "she couldn't have,"
"Hyung... I think she did..." he trails off, feeling sorry for me and himself.
"But, she promised me she'd stay," I breath out.
"RAEJAE!!" I shout as loud as I can, hopelessly waiting for a response.
My brain wants to picture her running towards me, but all I can see are street lights lining the empty roads.
"No, no, no," I step back, running my hands through my hair, "I shouldn't have left her. I shouldn't have-"
"Hyung, we'll find her," Namjoon puts his hand on my shoulder.
"She left us. She left me," I say out loud just so that I can understand for sure.
"I'm so sorry. I did this," Namjoon shakes his head, covering his face with his hands.
RaeJae's POV:
"I'm sorry," I grunt my teeth, entering the street.
I don't know what else to do. How could I go back there after blowing up like that? But how could I break a promise like that with Yoongi as well.
Maybe I'm that bad person here.
I push whatever thoughts I have about the situation to the side and call the only other option I have.
BamBam.
"RaeJae! Why are you up so late?" He answers cheerfully.
"I've maybe gotten myself into a bit of a mess," I laugh awkwardly, "would it be bad to ask fo you wanted to get some latte night dinner?"
"Let's get it!" He practically screams into the phone, "I know a place. Where are you? You're dorm?"
"Umm, Yeah, I'm just outside it," I reply.
"Perfect, I'm actually with Yugyeomie right now about to drive by. Wow, so great timing!"
I can't help but laugh at his sudden outbursts in English.
"Oh, yah. I see you. Why do you have a suitcase?" He asks through the phone as I spot a car coming down the street.
"I'll explain everything to you in a bit," I say, impatiently waiting for the car to get closer to me.
"Is something wrong?"
The car arrives in front of me before I can say anything more. I hand up, putting the phone in my pocket and am instantly surprised when BamBam swings the door open.
"RAEJAE-AHHHHH!" He screams, stumbling out to give me a hug.
I'm able to get him to help me lift my suitcase in the back and get on the road in time before Yoongi realizes I left. I sigh out of pain and relief, turning my head to see Yugeom staring at me.
Oh my, I've hung out with BamBam a few times where sometimes I'd be introduced to Yugeom over the phone, but I've never met him in person.
"Ah, I'm so sorry," I sit up straight, turning to him, "it's so nice to finally meet you. I'm RaeJae, I don't know if you remember,"
"I remember- I mean, yes. It's nice to meet you too," He blushes slightly.
"So! Can you explain everything to us?" BamBam asks excitedly, the driver continuing to wherever we're going to eat.
I explain everything to them just how it happened, trying my very best not to leave anything out. They listen with intent the entire time, giving advice whenever they can.
"So, now I guess, I'm not longer an Idol," I finish it off.
"Wah, you're not actually quitting are you?" Yugeom voices his concern.
"I think I already did..." I trail off.
"Noo. They'd never just let you quit like that," BamBam shakes his head.
"But I left so abruptly," I say.
"Wait, where are you going to stay?" BamBam asks.
"Probably a hotel. I don't know, I still have to figure that all out," I sigh, feeling extremely stressed.
"I have an idea!" BamBam suddenly shouts causing both Yugeom and I to jump, "You can stay with us!"
"With you?" I gasp in shock.
"With us?!" Yugeom seconds me.
