RaeJae's POV:
"You can't expect me to throw all these out!" V whines in a childlike manor, cradling a few stuffies in his hands.
"But they don't even fit in your suitcase," Namjoon points to the already overflowing carrier of who knows what. I frown at the sight of V having to part with his beloved stuffies, taking a look at my own suitcase. I don't have much stuff at all.
"Hyung," I whisper, pointing down to my suitcase at my feet. His eyes instantly light up, he mouthing 'thank you' before scrambling to delicately place the stuffies into my suitcase.
I smile down at him, but not just any sort of smile. The type of smile that is both sad and happy at the same time, melancholy if you will. You see, moving onto a bigger and better apartment is exciting but also tragic for me. It took me quite some time to get used to the way things were here, and now I must start over.
However, it should be easier now considering I get to take the most important people in my life with me.
"where is Jungkookie?" Jin asks, hurriedly checking the dorm for things that may have been left behind that weren't supposed to.
"I think he already went to the car," Jimin answers.
I purse my lips, knowing that Jungkook surely would never be the first to leave our dorm. First of all, I'm pretty sure he was the most upset out of all of us. I don't even think he want to move at all. Second of all, he most likely wouldn't have just left before saying a proper goodbye to the place.
"Rae-ah, did you get everything from your dorm?" Namjoon looks to me.
"I think so," I reply, him giving me an 'are you sure' look, "but I'll check again,"
He laughs as I leave my suitcase and cross the hall to my dorm. Before I know it the sad feeling in my stomach begins to grow along with the urge to beg to stay. I keep having to repeat what Yoongi told me about moving on. He told me that by doing so we can have a new beginning, and move past the days of us simply paying rent to survive.
He says that we've grown beyond this stage in our lives, and although many beautiful moments were shared here, we must follow our new dreams.
Even so I can help but run my finger across the length of my dorm room door. I remember the first day I came here, expecting a bunch of girls to be staring back at my once I entered. Oh how I was wrong.
Instead I was met with 7 boys who have become my pride and joy.
I slowly open the door, a squeak filling the hallway as a reminder to the fact that I've lived here for 3 whole years. Just like when I first opened this door, Silence and darkness greet me. Only this time Jungkook, slightly older than when I first met him, meets my eyes. I look him up and down, wondering why he would be in my dorm of all places at a time like this.
"I was just..." He trails off.
"Saying goodbye?" I raise my eyebrows, trying to be the happier one out of us two, "You know, I think we all get queen beds in our new dorm. No more bunk beds!"
He doesn't respond to be cheer but instead sighs, "Us two, We were practically raised here,"
"Came here at fourteen, leaving at 17," I nod my head in agreement. Those years of childhood are especially essential to developing your personality.
"I feel like by leaving here, I'm actually leaving behind myself," This time he looks me in the eye. I'm surprised by how well I can see myself in his glassy irises.
"Aigoo, Jungkookie. Don't cry!" I try acting cute to make him laugh. Luckily it works.
We talk for a moment longer, exchanging stories of how we grew into the people we are today. The two of us came to the conclusion that we both carry traits from our hyungs, considering they taught us a lot about the world.
A knock interrupts our little heart to heart as Jungkook's smile slowly disappears. It seems that the time to leave has finally come.
"It'll be okay," I hum, patting him on the arm as we start for the door.
He turns to look at the dorm once again but I stop him, holding one of his hands in mine since I have a cast on the other.
"Don't look back, We're not going that way," I say with a small smile. He nods his head slightly, opening the door to be the first to exit.
I want to so badly take one last look at my small dorm room but can't. Following my own advice seems like the best option at the moment, so I close the door behind me and wait for the rest of the boys.
After we all say our last goodbyes we pile into our move in van, illegally might I just add, and head on our way. Some tears fall, mostly down Hobies cheek but I make an effort to wipe them away whenever they appear.
"Aigoo~ Aigoo~" I coo jokingly, "Don't cry Hyung,"
He smiles at me, his eyes twinkling with tears threatening to spill out.
"They're happy tears too, don't worry," He sniffles reassuringly.
I nod my head, attempting to get comfortable in the crowded vehicle since we currently have 5 members shoved into a 3 seat space. Literally I'm sitting on Taehyung's lap.
"We're here!" Jin announces.
Us 5 who were shoved into the small space spill out while uttering some words of relief. We may be close, but that doesn't mean we prefer to be a half a cm apart.
"My suitcase is the one with the ribbon on it," I tell Jin who is handing all of us our stuff.
"Here ya go," He starts to hand it to me but Yoongi intercepts it. Oops, my bad, didn't realize we were on the basketball court.
"I already told you not to carry stuff," He looks at me seriously.
"Yeah but I still got my left hand," I hold it up in his face, "Plus, how are you gonna carry your keyboard, your suitcase, and my suitcase?"
His eyebrows furrow signaling that I just brought up a valid point. That is until he claps and calls, "Jeon Jungkook!"
Jungkook almost immediately patters over to us with his gigantic backpack hanging from his shoulders. Not to mention his moderately large suitcase he's also rolling around. Seriously, does he really have that much stuff?
"Carry this," Yoongi hands it to him.
"What, no!" Jungkook protests with his hands up.
"It's Rae's," Yoongi points to me.
"OH, okay," Jungkook smiles, accepting it.
I laugh as he starts to drag himself into the apartment building. What would I do without him?
"Wait Kookie! Can I at least take your backpack?" I call, catching up to him.
"NO!" Yoongi shouts but we both ignore him once we get around the corner.
"Don't let him see you," Jungkook points to me jokingly, "He'll kill me,"
"Wait, are we seriously on the 12th floor," I look at Jungkook while panting after the first 3 flights of stairs.
"Yup," He answers, not even a drop of sweat on his face.
"Aish, seriously?" I gasp breathlessly.
"I said that we should take the elevator!" Jungkook laughs.
"Nooooo. Apartment building and elevators are a no go for me,"
"I though you were over that?"
"Guess not,"
"WAIIIHHHT UPPPP!" A voice startles the two of us, Jungkook reaching for his backpack in my shoulders as if his life depends on it.
"It's just Jimin Hyung," I swat his hands away.
"So I heard we have 4 spectate rooms in our dorm which means someone gets their own room," Jimin informs us.
"So one of you gets your own room?" I raise my eyebrows and he nods.
"One of us will finally get to live the RaeJae life," Jimin laughs, "a room all to ourselves,"
"I bet Jin will get it," Jungkook concludes, both Jimin and I agreeing. Although, Yoongi might also put up a fight for it... that man loves his alone time.
"I haven't heard anything about my dorm. I just assume it's across from yours," I say in between gasping for air.
"Yah, how are you so out of shape?" Jungkook looks at me with an amused expression.
"I'm not! You know cardio is not my thing!" I defend myself, "by the way, Hyung, why are you taking the stairs with us?"
"Thought I could use some extra exercise," Jimin answers as a matter of fact.
"Since when?" I chuckle.
"I'm chubby," He frowns and I stop right in place.
"You are not!" I exclaim causing him to jump.
"Jeez, didn't mean to upset you," He smiles innocently.
"You've got abs from the heavens," I start.
"I do?"
"Yeah and your body is like an 11 our of 10,"
"Really?"
"To be honest, your body doesn't even matter. Your smile tops all of it off,"
"You think?"
"No, I know! And your personality is a straight 100 out of 10,"
Jungkook steps in front of me, staring at me as if I've just made a huge mistake, "why are you saying that?"
"...because it's true?"
Suddenly he smiles, and nods his head, "You're right"
What the...?
"Seems to me I may be the best looking one in the group then," Jimin says cockily.
"Don't let your head get too big," I reply, handing the backpack back to Jungkook since we finally arrived.
We open a key activated door into a short hallway with one door inside. The rest of the boys who took the elevator are looking down at a set of keys confusedly.
"Something wrong?" Jimin asks curiously.
"No, it's just that we only have one key to one place..." Namjoon trails off.
"So...?" Jungkook looks at them as if he's completely missed the obvious.
"RaeJae is apparently staying in our dorm from now on," V smiles.
