***Jason's POV

"Charizard, use Flamethrower on as many enemies as you can get as we make our way up top!" I order.

Charizard fires blast after blast, in hopes of helping our friends in the battle.

"Just go! We'll be fine!" Blue yells, as his Charizard manages to knock out a Hounddoom.

"But Red is-"

"Go! Just get Serena! Team Johto is battling Bryon as we speak so it'll be fine!" Blue yells as he caught up in his own fight with a grunt.

"You heard him, let's go!" I yell, as we try to catch up to Ash, who's already halfway up the mountain.

***Serena's POV

I slowly open my eyes. The ground below me is moving so fast, as if I was flying.

Wait.

I look up, and I see a purple cloud carrying me by holding the edges of my chains up and dragging me around like a puppet.

"Serena!"

Ash!

I turn my head, and out of my periferal vision, I see Ash riding his Charizard, and Pikachu on his shoulder, on the way to save me.

"Take a good look at him. It'll be the last time you see him," Drew says, who's being carried by Gengar as well next to me.

"You're lucky I'm chained up or I would-"

"Luck has nothing to do with it!" Drew says, looking into my eyes, which are consumed with anger and hate.

I stay silent.

"We're here."

Gengar takes us to the very top of Mt. Moon. As we land, the snow is so deep, my feet sink in and is halfway up my shin. My teeth chatter as Gengar pins the chains on a large rock. A strong breeze pierces my skin, causing goosebumps to grow.

Why did it have to be so windy up here?

Across from me, I see a body outlined with snow.

"Oh, him? He had the audacity to challenge Bryon." Drew says.

"He definitely paid the consequences," Bryon says, appearing from the shadows, dragging Crystal on the ground by her hair.

He's carrying Silver on his shoulders, unconscious.

Crystal grabs his hand, trying to pry his fingers with tears in her eyes.

That means that the person buried in the snow is Gold.

Byron tosses Silver next to Gold, and throws Crystal in front of me. Crystal lays there for a few moments, then slowly attempts to get up.

"Crystal! Are you ok?"

She shakes her head, as she looks at me in despair. Her eyes are red from crying, and her face shows how much pain she's in right now.

"Ugh! Let me go!" I yell, as I'm engulfed in anger. I pull on the chain, trying to break the chain off the boulder, but to no avail.

"Serena!"

Ash lands in front of me, next to Crystal. He runs towards me, but stops when Drew stands in front of me, blocking him. He then goes checks on Crystal.

"What happened?" Ash asks, as he looks up at Bryon, who's standing next to Drew.

"W-we searched inside Mt. Moon for Bryon, and we did. We automatically challenged him and began to fight him. We were doing so well; even with his infected pokemon, the battle seemed evenly matched. But that changed, when he pulled out the stones," Crystal explains.

Oh no. It can't be.

Ash looks up at me and reads my expression.

"Mega Evolution." He says, as he looks over at Bryon. Bryon has a big grin on his face.

Jason and Sarah land next to Ash, and they both run towards Silver and Gold. Jason quickly digs Gold out of the snow and brings him over to Charizard's tail. Gold doesn't react at all.

"Gold jumped in. He's so stupid! He didn't realize how powerful his Pokemon became!" Crystal yells, tears continuing to fall from her face.

There's a bruise on her right cheek and her clothes are all torn up.

"No."

Silver weakly holds himself up.

"He was the only one able to think. He realized we couldn't beat him. So he tried to buy us time. Time to for us to either run away or figure out a way for us to win. We obviously couldn't do either,"Silver explains, as he collaspes on the ground again. Crystal's facial expression changes dramatically, and she starts sobbing.

"Jason, what are we going to do?" Sarah asks. Jason keeps a stern face.

"Ash. I know you hate me right now, but we need to focus. Take on Byron with Sarah."

"What? Why-"

"Ash. Trust me. If you want to free Serena without anything happening to her, you need to."

Hate? What happened between those two?

Ash stares at Jason, then nods.

"Fine."

Jason turns to Drew.

"Time for us to finally have that date you've been craving," Jason says, pulling out a Pokeball.

"Oh trust me, I've been dreaming for this day for years," Drew says, doing the same.

"Jason!" Sarah yells, running towards Jason. Jason turns, a confused look on his face.

"Here."

She hands him Charizardnite and the key stone. Jason eyes grow big and just stares at it, not reaching for it.

"Drew might have some Infected Pokemom, and we both know he has Pokemon that can mega evolve. You might need it. Please."

Jason doesn't move for a moment, then slowly takes it from her hand.

"I love you Jason."

Jason hugs her and kisses her forehead, then he turns back to Drew.

"Come on Phanpy!"

***Jason's POV

"Hariyama!" Drew yells, unleashing his Hariyama.

The snowstorm doesn't let up, as the wind picks up and blows snow everywhere. Phanpy shivers as she awaits orders.

"Phanpy, Rollout!"

Phanpy balls up and begins rolling around in the snow, sending it back up in the air. Phanpy rolls in a circle around Hariyama.

"Hariyama, use Brick Break!"

Hariyama's fist go to the ground, and nearly misses Phanpy.

"Go on the offensive!" I order, as Phanpy takes a wide turn towards Hariyama and hits her right leg, causing her to fall on her chest. She groans as she slowly tries to get up.

"Again!"

Phanpy makes another turn and hits her head. Phanpy backs up a few feet until she stops rolling and extends her legs, trumpeting in satisfaction. Hariyama slowly gets up.

"Hariyama! Push through the pain! Make that Phanpy pay!"

Hariyama gets in a fighting stance.

"Another Rollout Phanpy!"

Phanpy takes off, rolling straight towards Hariyama.

"Turn that Rollout into a Takedown!" I yell, as Phanpy jumps into the air and extends her legs out, ready for a big impact.

"Catch her Hariyama!"

Hariyama yells in pain as Phanpy hits her stomach, but Hariyama wraps her big palms around her. The impact is so strong it pushes Hariyama back a few feet, digging her feet into the ground.

"Counter with Force Palm!"

Hariyama uses one hand to hold Phanpy, and the other glows white and hits Phanpy foward, driving Phanpy deep into a boulder.

Oh no.

"Phanpy, get out of there!"

"Hariyama, continue with Brick Break!"

Hariyama's fists shatter the boulder, driving Phanpy deeper into the ground.

I look over to Serena.

She's shivering in her torn dress, observing intensely at Ash's and Sarah's battle. I glance over at their battle and gasp. Byron is using the infected Aerodactyl and Salamance that attacked me when we were over Viridian Forest. Ash's Goodra and Sarah's Lucario are doing well keeping up with their strength.

"Ash! Sarah! Jump!" I yell. They both nod and their Pokemon jump.

"Phanpy, use Earthquake!"

The whole mountain begins to shake. Hariayama, falls to the ground, and Bryon's Pokemon take some damage until they're forced into the air.

"Phanpy, Rollout!"

Phanpy shoots out and hits Hariyama, knocking hard on the ground.

"Phanpy, good-"

"Use Close Combat!"

Hariyama takes off like lightning and unleashes a fury of punches, kicks, and slaps on Phanpy. Once she was done, Phanpy lays on the ground, unconscious.

"Round one goes to me," Drew says, with a smirk.
