𝟎𝟎𝟔. chemistry class

chapter six,
chemistry class

The school bell rang, and as Kitty and Winnie struggled to find their classes, the man from the welcome party approached them on the stairwell, offering assistance.

"We're looking for literature and visual arts," Winnie replied.

The man kindly provided directions before they went their separate ways.

Later, Kitty and Winnie reunited after their last classes and chatted about their teachers.

Kitty expressed her frustrations about Dae and Yuri. As Winnie and Kitty walk towards the cafeteria area, Kitty asked, "Where are you going?"

Winnie replied, "I can't deal with this," as she spun around to face Kitty.

"Wait, I'll stop," Kitty said, not wanting to be alone in this big school.

"No, you won't. Don't lie," Winnie responded.

Kitty pouted but didn't argue because she couldn't deny Winnie's words.

Winnie stopped and turned towards Kitty. "Just don't bring up the topic of Yuri and Dae, okay?"

A smile appeared on Kitty's face once again. "Okay! Now let's hurry up or we're not gonna be able to find a seat!" Kitty hurried the two.

Once lunch finished, they finally had a class together. Chemistry. Kitty and Winnie arrived to class and sat down in the remaining seats.

Kitty sat next to a dude with a lizard on his shoulder and Winnie next to the one and only, Min Ho.

They glance at eachother before looking away with a sigh. "Can you please get out of my life?" Min Ho asked.

"Trust me, I don't wanna be next to you either."

Min Ho turns to her, "You two need to go home. Dae made it very clear on his choices. The longer you two stay, the more pathetic you guys look."

"You're so full of yourself, you know that right?" Winnie spat. "No pimply-faced playboys tells me what to do."

"I haven't had a blocked pore in four years." Min Ho says in a tone that makes him sound like he's bragging.

"Oh, well, it looks like one's coming in right here." Winnie says as she reaches towards Min Ho's face.

Min Ho slaps Winnie's hand away. "Are you even supposed to be in this class?"

Winnie nodded, but Min Ho ignored her response. "Professor Finery, I want a new lab partner!" He called out. "I don't feel like working with the Portland Stalkers spy."

"No. The person you're sitting next to will be your partner for the rest of the semester." The teacher explained.

Min-Ho and Winnie looked at each-other with annoyance. "Ugh." Winnie groaned, throwing her head backwards.

"Where are you off to?" Winnie asked Kitty walking out of chemistry.

"Uh, meeting my tutor I think it's in the library?" Kitty checked her schedule.

"Cool, well I'm on my break so I'll come but I'll just study by myself." Winnie checked her schedule as well.

"All good, I'll be fine. Go find some friends, it'll be good for you." Kitty smiled at her.

"You're right." Winnie couldn't help but sigh in her response. "See you after?"

Winnie and Kitty stopped in-front of the library. "Got it." Kitty said, hugging her best friend before walking into the big library.

Winnie looked around at the campus and sighed, not knowing exactly what to do. She could either follow Kitty into the library and have her study session with her or she could go find some of her new friends.

Winnie ended up making the choice of exploring the new surroundings. She roamed around the campus while other students did as well.

But before Winnie knew it, she bumped into something. Or rather someone.  "Ouch." she groaned as she stumbled backwards a bit.

She shook her head and looked up to see the boy she had run into.

It was no other than Min Ho. "Okay, you must be stalking me or something."

"Why are you everywhere I go?" Winnie asked, annoyed by his presence.

Min Ho shrugged. "Maybe because we go to the same school, ever thought about that?"

"Well, then can you stay far away from me?" Winnie said, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

Min Ho smirked. "Why? Are you scared you'll fall for my handsome looks and perfect sense of humor?"

Winnie scoffed. "Please, I wouldn't ever find you cute in a million years."

"Oh, you're breaking my heart," Min Ho placed a hand over his chest. "How will I ever recover."

"Just, shut up. You'll be just fine, I'm sure you have a hundred girls dying to spend the night with you." Winnie rolled her eyes, not in the mood to deal with his antics.

A grin appeared on Min Ho's face. "Jealous?"

"No." Winnie said bluntly before pushing past him and walking back to the dorm.

Winnie spent the rest of her afternoon rearranging her room so Kitty would be able to move in.

By the time Kitty got home, she had gotten Q to help her take the traditional Song-Covey first day of school picture.

As Q took the photo, somehow one of the boxes fell over and dropped Kitty's mom's book. When they picked it up, they were shocked to see what was dropped on the floor.

"You won't believe it." Kitty rushed over to Winnie as she walked into the bedroom. Winnie sat up from her bed immediately.

"What! What!" Winnie yelled with the same enthusiasm as Kitty.

"I think my mom had a baby while in Korea.." Kitty told her.

"I'm sorry, what?" she asked her with confusion.

"See look!" Kitty showed Winnie the orange wristband with the birthdate on it.

"Oh my god."
