chapter eight,
coffee chats

    Kitty had caught Winnie up on all the lost sibling drama last night. It was a crazy theory but Winnie was going to back Kitty up even if it sounded a little insane.

    The two had gotten ready for school and immediately started their day with coffee.

    They also chose to take a stroll down a path that was surrounded by beautiful flowers.

    "Don't worry, alright? I'm sure you and Dae will figure out how to be civil exes." Winnie says, holding onto her caramel coffee.

    "Or not." Kitty sighed. "But let's just stop talking about Dae."

    "Thank god." Winnie let the words slip out. "Sorry."

    "Okay, enough about my love life. What's going on with you and Min Ho." Kitty asked making Winnie stop in her tracks.

    Kitty turned around and gave her a look. "There is nothing going on with me and Min Ho."

    Kitty raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing Winnie's words.  "Really? You two seem to have some kind of love-hate thing going on."

    Winnie sighed and continued walking, Kitty following closely behind. "It's not a love-hate thing. It's just...he's annoying and I find him insufferable and-"

    Kitty interrupted Winnie before she could continue. "And that's exactly what I mean. Love-hate relationship. Remember Winnie, I am the real life matchmaker."

    Winnie rolled her eyes. "You're not a matchmaker, you're just a hopeless romantic."

    Kitty shrugged. "Maybe. But at least I'm not in denial about my feelings."

   Kitty came rushing to Winnie after class complaining about how she failed her lit paper, shoving it in the girls face.

    "Oh no, you haven't gotten below A-minus before and now this." Winnie grabbed the paper, inspecting it.

    "What do I do!" she panicked asking Winnie.

    "How would I know??" Winnie gave a response back and to that Kitty just frowned at her.

    "Well, since you're like the top of our school, what do you think I should do about this?" She held the paper closer to Winnie's face.

    "I don't know!" Winnie threw her arms in the air and as that happened she had accidentally hit Mr. Finnerty in the face.

    He stopped holding his face, "Oh my god! I'm so sorry, sir!" She told him trying to help him as his folder and papers dropped to the ground.

    As he stood up, Winnie looked at Kitty and her face started to glow as if she got an idea.

    "Mr. Finnerty! Mr. Finnerty! Mr. Finnerty!" She called out his name repeatedly.

    "Yes. Yes. Yes." He replied back gathering his belongings.

    "You can help me!" She smiled, causing him and Winnie to have a confused expression. "With my grade!"

    "Oh, this is bad but don't worry. All you have to do is study and work harder. That's how i got-" he tried to explain before Kitty cut him off by shushing him.

    "No, like you change my grade." She winked at him, shoving a shoulder.

    "How about no, look kitty. I have failed multiple tests like my drivers test, my philosophy test. A drug test." He paused, causing Kitty and Winnie to side glance at each other.

    "Just joking!" He assured them. "What I mean is, it's ok to fail. Your going to be just fine." He explained.

    "Oh! Happy Chuseok! Chi.. cho.. che– chuseok." He smiled, struggling a bit to pronounce the words correctly.

    Kitty gives a soft smile. "Thanks. Do you have any plans?" She asked him.

    "No, no family in Seoul." Mr. Finnerty replied.

    "Yeah, us either. But, we're holding a like a friend's giving sort of situation type thing." Kitty tries her best to say.

    Winnie — who had absolutely no idea about this 'friend's giving' dinner they were holding — looked at Kitty with utter confusion.

    "We are?" She asked.

    "Yes.. we are." Kitty smiled as she slowly turned to Winnie. "So.. you better hurry and get to the supermarket before dinner!"

    "W-what?" Winnie stumbled upon Kitty's words. Not only did Winnie not know about Chuesok but she was now cooking for it.

    "Let's go! Go, go, go." Kitty hurries the girl, shoving her away. "Better hurry!"

    "Oh!" Winnie yelped as she was getting pushed, "Bye, Mr. Finnerty!"

"It's Alex!" He shouted out as Kitty continued to shove Winnie through the hall.

i actually didn't realize how many chapters these are going to be split up into and we're only on episode five!
