𝟎𝟎𝟕. wilderness

chapter seven,
wilderness

After Kitty had officially moved into the dorm, Q and Kitty talked about going on a hike with the wilderness group. Min-Ho and Winnie overheard that Dae was going to be there so they felt as if they should go as well.

"Okay let's warm up guys!" Q started to do stretches as the pair arrived.

"Sorry we're late, stupid fans." Winnie announced to the team.

"Winnie? What are you doing here?" Kitty came closer to her.

"I'm trying to be more active, so I joined the group." Winnie shrugged her shoulders.

Kitty hesitated to speak trying to find the words. "Okay, sounds good."

After their brief conversation, Winnie approached a girl with a smile on her face and offered out her hand for her to shake.

    "Hi, I'm Winnie." She waited.

"Lia, Lia Kim. Nice to meet you." Lia shook Winnie's hand.

"Girls, quiet please?" Q asked them and as a response they nodded and gave a soft smile at each other.

The group began their hike, everybody following Q because he was appointed leader. The two girls chatted as they went along, Lia explaining her entire life story and Winnie explaining why she is here for school.

"How can you like doing this?" Min-Ho tagged along with Winnie and Lia, shooing the bugs away from his porcelain skin.

"I don't, I'm just here for you." Winnie shrugged her shoulders.

"You're here for me? Yeah sure." He said in his silly cocky British accent.

"No. I was being sarcastic." Winnie said bluntly.

    "Oh." He realized.

"Also, this is Lia." Winnie introduced the new face to Min-Ho.

"Moved on past Portland Stalker pretty quickly, huh."

Winnie pushed Min-Ho which caused Min-Ho to push her back. The two ongoing with their childish behaviour.

"Got to go guys, my brother is near me and I'm going to catch up to him. Talk to you later, Winnie?" Lia said out loud.

"Sure thing." Winnie flashed a smiled as Lia ran off.

After Lia walked past a few people, Winnie and Min Ho were left by themselves. "So, new friend, hey?" Min-Ho asked the quiet girl.

"Yeah I think so. I'm still friends with Kitty if that's what you were thinking." She adds.

    "Wasn't what I was thinking."

The pair walked up the trail and saw that Kitty and Yuri were racing to the top. In the end, Kitty ended up winning.

By the time Winnie ended up on the hill as well Kitty had ran off someplace else. "Where did Kitty go?" Winnie asked catching up to Dae and Yuri.

"I don't know. We asked her to take a photo of us and then she just ran away." Yuri responded.

Winnie furrowed her eyes brows with confusion. "Okay.." but sighed as she let the situation go.

Winnie sat in front of an easel as she began painting. She didn't have anything in mind to paint but she knew that something would end up coming to her.

"Creating more messes, I see." Min Ho announced his presence.

Winnie rolled her eyes at the sound of his irritating voice. "Yes, I'm making yet another mess." She adds sarcastically.

Min Ho sat down next to Winnie, his eyes looking over at her painting. "What's that supposed to be?" he asked curiously.

Winnie shrugged her shoulders. "Just a bunch of colors mixed together, nothing specific."

"So it's a mess." Min Ho chuckled.

Winnie shot a glare over at him. "It's abstract art, idiot." she snapped.

Min Ho chuckled again, obviously finding some kind of entertainment from making Winnie angry.

"Oh, I didn't know it was abstract art, my bad." he said in a teasing tone.

Winnie rolled her eyes once again and continued to paint, trying her best to ignore his presence.

Min Ho leaned in closer to look at the canvas for a few seconds before speaking up again. "You know, it actually doesn't look half bad." he said, genuinely surprised.

Winnie glanced over at him, surprised by his compliment. "Really?" she asked, slightly taken aback by his sudden change in attitude.

"No, it's looks horrible." Min Ho says without any hesitation.

Winnie scowled at him, realizing he had just been messing around with her again. "You are so annoying," she said through gritted teeth.

Min Ho chuckled to himself, clearly enjoying getting a rise out of her. "You're so easy to annoy."

Winnie huffed and turned back to her painting, trying to block him out. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't help but be aware of his presence next to her.

Min Ho sat quietly for a few moments, watching as Winnie continued to paint. "Can I ask you something?" he asked suddenly, breaking the silence.

Winnie stopped painting and looked over at him, curiosity getting the better of her. "What?" she asked.

Min Ho leaned in closer to her and said with a smirk on his face, "When are you going to leave?"

Winnie furrowed her eyebrows and huffed in annoyance. "Get out," she said firmly.
