Markiplier x Jessica (Request)

This is something I wrote for @Takosukiti that she requested for her friend who I'd like to give a little bit of a boost to her current mood. So here's something for her:

A young woman with bright red hair sat alone in a booth at her local café. She had her pencil out, scribbling away in a notebook, creating anime characters and creatures.

Not to far away, at the counter, a man a few years older than the young lady, glanced over at her.

'I need to talk to her.' Was all the man could think as he grabbed his order and stepped towards her.

She blew the eraser scraps off her notebook, and jumped slightly, noticing the stranger standing in front of her.

"Can... Can I help you?" She asked. Though she normally had a bubbly personality around her friends, she tended to get a tad shy around strangers.

"Well, uh, you just were sitting over here all alone, and I wondered if you'd want someone to talk to." The man smiled at her, causing her to blush.

'There's something familiar about him... Those slightly-upturned eyes, and that pink hair... I remember it from somewhere.' The girl thought to herself.

"You okay?" The stranger asked, waving a hand in front of her eyes.

"Oh! Yeah. I was just, you know, thinkin' about stuff and things."

"Is it okay if I sit down?" The man asked. She nodded.

"Mark."

"Huh?"

"That's my name."

"Oh, right. I'm Jessica." Jessica stated, feeling herself loosen up. "Oh! You're Markiplier! The YouTuber that I watch!"

Mark laughed and nodded. He looked at Jess for a second, studying her features. Blue eyes with gold sprinkled in, the piercings that were obvious, yet not overpowering, and the tattoo on her neck.

"I, um, I like your videos, a lot." Jess remarked, pulling Mark out of his trance. Mark squinted slightly and smirked a little.

"This is gonna sound weird, but what accent is that? It's really nice." Mark chuckled quietly as she looked away and pushed a lock of red hair out of the way.

"Australian." Jessica muttered, still attempting to avoid eye contact as best she could.

Mark opened his mouth to say something. Jessica rolled her eyes at him. "Please don't do the 'shrimp on the barby' thing." Mark snapped his mouth shut.

"Sorry. So... What're you drawing?" Mark asked, trying to take a peek at her notebook full of doodles, sketches, and portraits of various things.

"Just some stuff." Jessica replied, scooting it across the table to him.

"Just some stuff?! This is incredible!" Mark exclaimed, flipping through the pages.

"Thank you so much. I really love drawing."

"I can tell. This is awesome!"

The flattered girl looked down, smiling to herself as she looked at her white Converse tennies. Her gaze shifted back up to Mark as he opened his bag, and pulled out a cinnamon roll.

Seeing her looking at him, he slowly put it back in the paper bag.

"Oh, aheh it's not super polite to eat in front of someone you hardly know. Hey, did you order anything?" Mark questioned, tilting his head slightly.

"No. This kind a food is just not what I should eat." Jessica replied, scratching the back of her neck, revealing a little more of her tattoo.

"Ah. I see."

There was a long pause.

"Well, there's this great place down the street that has really good like, low-calorie stuff. You wanna go?" Mark asked.

"Y-yeah. Sure." Jess said picking up her notebook and packing up her pencils.

Mark stretched out a hand to help her up. She slowly took his hand and stood in front of him. He was only a few inches taller than her, but his floofy pink hair made him seem even taller.

Mark held out his arm, and Jessica looped hers through his.

"Ready to go, Ms. Jess?" Mark asked in a suave tone. Jessica nodded and smiled. The two of them walked out of the café arm and arm. This could be the start of something good.

I don't know how well I did, I just had a few traits to work with but I hope that if Jessica sees it, she likes it.

(Also, this Jess is not Mark's ex-girlfriend Jess. So no freaking out okay!!)
