Jungkook, Taehyung, and their children lived happy and peaceful lives for several years. Taehyung was in and out of intensive care with Hyungwon, but he was managing his symptoms well enough that he could watch his children grow up. It would soon be Taehyung and Jungkook's 10th anniversary and Taehyung was at a loss for what to do this year. He honestly hadn't expected to live this long into their marriage but he couldn't be happier as he prepared the kids' lunches.

He set 3 plates down at the end of the island that separated their kitchen from the spacious living room and walked around to pull the chairs out before calling the children down from tutoring. They'd been working so hard with their private tutors that Taehyung felt the need to reward his babies. With what, he wasn't certain of yet but he'd think of something soon enough. He watched as Ezra was the first one down the stairs, giggling pleasantly as the other two rushed down as well. He figured they must have been hungry as they climbed up into the bar chairs and commenced eating the moment they were settled.

Taehyung hummed softly to himself as he cleaned the counter where he'd just made all of their grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches with mashed potatoes. He didn't realize how alike they all would be coming from two separate mothers, but it made him happy that he didn't have very picky children. "Now, before you go back to learning," Taehyung started softly, placing the damp towel on the edge of the sink. "I think we need to talk about knocking on daddy's door before entering the room once again. We've talked about this before, but someone seems to keep forgetting," Taehyung addressed softly, leaning forward as Annalise ducked her head.

"Sorry, daddy. I just like sleeping in the bed between you and dad... And I forget to knock sometimes," she admitted quietly, dropping her gaze as Taehyung smiled softly. He tenderly ruffled her hair, his hand trailing to cup her cheek before sliding under her chin to lift her gaze once again. "You're not in trouble, baby girl. Just remember to knock. There are things that take place in that room that we don't want you seeing, baby," Taehyung added quietly, moving his hand from under her chin to continue cleaning the counter once more.

"You mean like arguments?" Gabriel asked nonchalantly and Taehyung swiftly lifted his eyes to Jungkook's willful and rebellious son. Taehyung hadn't realized how much Gabriel was going to act like Jungkook when he was an infant. "Yes, among other things," Taehyung finally answered, eyeing Gabriel sternly. "But you don't need to be broadcasting our business like that either, young man," Taehyung reprimanded firmly before turning his back toward the children to grab the drinks from the fridge. Although Gabriel wasn't aware that's what Taehyung was doing and panicked slightly at the fact that he may have angered his daddy. "I- I'm sorry," Gabriel hastily apologized as Taehyung turned back toward him with a confused expression.

"It's okay, baby," Taehyung laughed softly, realizing the panic in his child's eyes. "It's not like I'm going to tell your father or anything. It's not bad enough for you to be reprimanded by him too," Taehyung declared certainly, reaching into the fridge. He pulled out 3 apple juice boxes and walked back over towards them, pushing the straws through the tiny opening before sliding them over to the children. Gabriel watched Taehyung meticulously out of the corner of his eyes as he continued to eat, jumping down once he was finished. "Thank you, daddy," he announced overly happy as he rushed around the bar to hug Taehyung tight. Taehyung wrapped his arms around Gabriel's head and shoulders with a tender smile. "You're welcome, baby. You guys are my pride and joy," Taehyung stated softly as Gabriel nuzzled his face in Taehyung's chest and tightened his arms around Taehyung's waist.

Taehyung didn't understand what had come over Gabriel so suddenly until his hand traveled further down causing Taehyung to jump. "What do you think you're doing?" Taehyung asked sternly, only to earn an innocent smile and a nervous laugh. "Sorry, daddy. My hand slipped," Gabriel lied blatantly, smirking mischievously before darting back up the stairs. Although Taehyung couldn't be certain that Gabriel had smirked, he certainly wasn't stupid enough to believe that was an accident. Before Taehyung could move to ask or reprimand Gabriel about his actions, Annalise and Ezra both hugged Taehyung tightly and bolted back up the stairs to their tutors once more.

When Jungkook returned home that night, Taehyung was already preparing dinner. Taehyung hastily threw down the oven mitts and apron, rushing to give Jungkook a tight hug. "Welcome home, darling! How was work?" Taehyung asked cheerfully, grabbing Jungkook's briefcase from him and taking his suit jacket for him. Jungkook smiled pleasantly as he kissed Taehyung tenderly, kissing him once again before Taehyung pulled away slightly. "Little wandering eyes, love," Taehyung whispered playfully as Jungkook peeked around to see the children staring at them from the kitchen table. "They were finishing up their homework while I made dinner," Taehyung informed Jungkook, walking over towards the coat closet to hang up Jungkook's suit jacket.

Jungkook sighed softly as Taehyung walked over towards the coffee table and placed Jungkook's briefcase down for a moment. "What's wrong, darling?" Taehyung asked softly, walking back over towards the oven to place the honey seared ham inside. Jungkook walked over towards the table the kids were doing their homework at and kissed each one of them on the head. "Nothing major. Just tired from work and hoping to relax, that's all," Jungkook claimed, walking into the kitchen.

Gabriel watched intently as Jungkook wrapped his arms around Taehyung's waist, holding him against his chest as he kissed him longer than normal. Taehyung almost seemed to forget where they were as he relished the way Gabriel's father kissed him, his face flushed as Jungkook placed his chin on Taehyung's shoulder. Although to Gabriel it looked as though Jungkook had buried his head in Taehyung's neck. Gabriel couldn't tell what they were doing from there, but he felt this agonizing emotion churn in his stomach as he hastily stood to his feet and stormed off.

Both Jungkook and Taehyung glanced up when they saw Gabriel leave the vicinity and both flinched when they heard his door slam. "What's gotten into him?" Jungkook asked as Taehyung shrugged slightly. "I honestly don't know, but maybe it's time you have a talk with him about you know what?" Taehyung suggested as Jungkook shoved both his hands into his pockets. "Ah, the sex talk. I wasn't prepared to have that conversation today," Jungkook trailed off as Taehyung rolled his eyes and kissed Jungkook's cheek. "While you may not be "prepared" for it, he is getting to that age. I'm certain he's stumbled across things by now that you need to address with him. Especially since he grabbed my ass this morning," Taehyung blurted out, covering his mouth and recoiling at his slip up. Taehyung wasn't trying to get Gabriel in trouble with Jungkook, especially when Jungkook hastily turned around with an unreadable expression and marched straight up the stairs.

Jungkook knocked on Gabriel's door softly before opening it, finding Gabriel laid out on his stomach on his bed with his feet in the air. "Hey, buddy," Jungkook greeted nervously as Gabriel glared at him. "What do you want?" Gabriel asked aggressively as Jungkook arched an eyebrow. If this was how he acted when he was younger, he wondered why nobody had smacked some sense into him sooner. "Your daddy tells me you did something today that made him uncomfortable," Jungkook explained calmly, taking a seat on the edge of Gabriel's bed. Gabriel rolled over on his side, turning his back to his father and hugging the body pillow he slept with. "I didn't mean to do it," Gabriel lied blatantly, although Jungkook wasn't aware Gabriel was lying. "My hand slipped. I told daddy that, but I guess he didn't believe me," Gabriel stated quietly, almost sounding as if he was hurt by the notion.

Jungkook tenderly caressed the side of Gabriel's head, speaking softly. "I don't think your daddy intentionally meant to misbelieve you. Maybe he thought that was an excuse, but either way, you are going to be 13 next year. It's not to say certain things about people haven't caught your attention," Jungkook started off, feeling his own face heat up as he spoke. Although, Gabriel did need to be more informed about things than he was at this moment and so he pressed on as Gabriel listened intently about sex.

Taehyung waited patiently by the oven for the food to finish, hoping Jungkook had talked to Gabriel rather than reprimand him. Taehyung pulled the ham out of the oven and placed it onto the stove before smiling radiantly at his work. "Dinner is ready," Taehyung called loudly, making sure that Jungkook and Gabriel would hear him. Taehyung diligently made a plate for Gabriel, Ezra, Annalise, and Jungkook before he made a plate of food for himself. He placed the plates in front of Annalise and Ezra, waiting for Jungkook and Gabriel to come down. Finally, after several more minutes after Taehyung called them, both Gabriel and Jungkook made their way down the stairs.

Taehyung could tell that Jungkook was seemingly more embarrassed now than when he'd gone upstairs and a smile broke out across his face as he handed Jungkook his plate. He pecked Jungkook's lips before allowing the younger to pass and walk towards the dining room before gathering food for his own plate. Taehyung wearily glanced over at Gabriel, who watched him intently as Taehyung added food to his plate. He didn't gather as large of a serving for himself as he did for the rest of the family, but it was more than enough for him. Although, Gabriel's watchful eyes had him wary about whether he had put too much on his plate or not. "What is it, baby?" Taehyung asked cautiously before Gabriel beckoned Taehyung closer.

"I'm sorry, daddy," Gabriel apologized again, kissing Taehyung's cheek. Taehyung turned toward Gabriel with a soft smile, patting his child's head. "It's okay, baby. Daddy still loves you so much," Taehyung declared happily, handing Gabriel his plate and picking up his own. Before Taehyung could move to walk towards the table, Gabriel stuck his foot out and caused Taehyung to trip. Jungkook was on his feet in an instant, helping Taehyung into a sitting position as Taehyung glanced back to see what had tripped him up. Taehyung couldn't see anything noteworthy as he glanced up at Gabriel, his child's dark eyes still watching him intently.

"Are you okay, baby?" Jungkook asked hastily, helping Taehyung to his feet. Taehyung groaned softly at the mess he'd made on the floor before Gabriel brushed past them both to sit down and eat. Taehyung rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed laugh, grabbing a washcloth and wetting it. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just clumsy, I guess," Taehyung announced, covering for Gabriel as he picked up the glass pieces and scrubbed the floor clean. The entire time Taehyung was cleaning up the mess he'd made on his hands and knees, he could feel Gabriel's eyes boring into him, penetrating him as if his own child was trying to see right through him.

With the mess clean, Taehyung hastily got off all fours and noticed Gabriel was no longer looking in his direction. Taehyung brushed himself off and walked over towards the stairs without so much as an utterance of any word. Jungkook hastily followed after Taehyung, offering to share his food with his love and only angering Gabriel more. Gabriel continued to watch as Jungkook chased after Taehyung to ensure he was okay. With his dinner finished, Gabriel stood to his feet and wandered up the stairs to see what commotion he'd caused between his parents now. He turned the door knob to their door and pushed it open just enough to peek in through the crack.

"Baby, how am I supposed to know what's wrong if you don't tell me?" Jungkook asked as Taehyung huffed softly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Nothing's wrong. I just... I don't know. I feel like Gabriel tripped me on purpose, but that can't be right. He's my baby too. He wouldn't do that to me," Taehyung tried to reason, earning a soft sigh from Jungkook. Jungkook sat next to Taehyung as Taehyung crossed one of his legs over the other. For some reason, seeing Taehyung's body language so closed off and proper excited Gabriel.

Jungkook tenderly reached for Taehyung's hands, uncrossing his arms as he held Taehyung's hands firmly in his own. "Gabriel would never hurt you, my love. He loves you. I know he does. He's just at a very difficult age apparently and he's more like me than I want to admit," Jungkook stated softly, completely oblivious to the truth he'd just uttered. Taehyung chuckled softly at Jungkook's words, realizing that he was right. "You may be right," Taehyung agreed softly, uncrossing his legs as Gabriel continued to watch on.

"So you're not still angry, are you?" Jungkook asked as Taehyung shook his head. Jungkook smiled happily at Taehyung, leaning forward and kissing Taehyung. Taehyung rested his hands on Jungkook's shoulders, only to be pushed into the mattress playfully by Jungkook. Jungkook leaned over Taehyung with a soft smile and leaned down to press his lips against Taehyung's own yet again. While this angered Gabriel because he wished to be in Jungkook's position right now, he continued to watch how things would unfold.
