Taehyung gasped violently into the mask that was forcing oxygen into his lungs, coughing as he blinked his eyes a few times. He glanced feebly around the room to see Jimin, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Seokjin in the room with him. He groaned softly as he slowly pushed himself to sit up, glancing at the other's apprehensive expressions. "I'm fine, promise," he spoke through the mask.
Hoseok shook his head in denial as he stepped forward, sitting on the edge of Taehyung's bed. "Do you even know where you were when Yoongi and I found you? You were not okay, Tae. You certainly didn't appear okay," Hoseok stated, placing his hand firmly on Taehyung's thigh. Yoongi bit his lower lip as he stared at Hoseok's hand resting on Taehyung's leg.
Taehyung coughed into the mask once more as he sighed softly, listening to the hose suck the medicine through it and into the mask for him to inhale. He could hear it traveling loudly through the hose almost drowning everyone's words of concern out. "No... I don't really remember much after getting to Jungkook's room... I was struggling to breathe even before then because I ran around without my inhaler..." Taehyung trailed off as Jimin shot him a furious glare. "But really, there's no need to worry! It happens, but I'm fine," he stated happily as Jimin lowered his eyes in silent sorrow now.
Hoseok gently grabbed Taehyung's hand in his own, squeezing it as Yoongi slowly approached the two of them. "Tae, you don't need to pretend to be strong. We know everything now," Hoseok stated as Yoongi stepped up beside the two of them, nodding in agreement. Taehyung's eyes widened significantly as he glanced towards Jimin, who looked away in shame before darting back to everyone else with an anxious look.
"Th- then you know that my parents are-"
"Not that much, Tae! I swear I didn't tell them that part," Jimin spoke loudly over Taehyung as he directly turned his attention on Taehyung, cutting him off. Taehyung closed his mouth, nodding in understanding. "Okay, I- I didn't know what I'd do if everyone started to treat me as if I were fragile," Taehyung confessed, laughing depreciatingly at himself. Hoseok felt Taehyung's grip on his hand tighten as he glanced back and forth between Jimin and Taehyung.
"What didn't you tell us, Jimin? What are you still trying to hide, Tae? Why can't we know?" Hoseok asked softly, hurt that they were still keeping secrets as he played with Taehyung's elegant fingers. Yoongi watched their interactions carefully, attentive to the fact that Hoseok had once had a crush on Taehyung. He knew that Taehyung had once been infatuated with Hoseok as well but Taehyung had been a true friend and backed off when Yoongi had mentioned liking him. He trusted both Hoseok and Taehyung, but he was still very skeptical when they were together like this and he didn't want to lose Hoseok. Not now, not ever. He was in too deep with Hoseok to let him go now. Yoongi could still recall the day that Taehyung had told them they were his ideal couple and that he wanted a love like their relationship. It had warmed his heart then and made him smile, but now. Now his heart felt cold from the anxiety that lurked over him and manipulated him even now.
Taehyung bit his lip before motioning for Jimin to shut the door. Jimin bit his lip in anxiety as he shook his head. "I really don't think that's a good idea, Tae. What if the wrong people hear this?"
Taehyung sighed softly, pointing towards the door once more, flicking his wrist to motion for it to be shut. "Well, close the door and we'll just have to hope that nobody else hears it!"
"But your parents, Tae! I don't want them getting upset with you or me, for that matter. I've already said too much! Your parents are going to be furious if someone overheard our conversation at lunch..." Jimin trailed off, hanging his head as he slowly approached Taehyung. Taehyung offered a soft smile as Jimin walked over and leaned close to Taehyung to whisper softly in his ear. "Please reconsider this thought..."
At that moment, Taehyung turned toward Jimin's ear and whispered back. "I've got an idea, please just go along with it and act as if it's something important to my parents... So that they won't have to know but they can think they know," Taehyung whispered softly before smiling softly at everyone. "Now, please. Close the door, Jimin," he added, glancing at the door with a serious expression. Jimin did as he was instructed this time, closing the door with hope that Taehyung's plan would work. Whatever that plan may be.
Taehyung sighed softly, fiddling with Hoseok's fingers to calm his nerves as he squeezed the elder male's hand. "My parents... are... are already looking..." Taehyung hesitated on his words, pretending to act choked up by what he was going to announce. "My parents are already looking for a... a husband for me... I- I have to attend their annual gala where I'll... introduce my future fiance," he stated, trying to act devastated by that announcement. While it was devastating in a sense, to be engaged so young, Taehyung didn't mind since he got to choose who his future fiance would be. Taehyung paused to wipe false tears from his eyes with his sleeve as he pressed on. "I wasn't supposed to tell you because if the wrong people hear it, they can sell the news to the media. It will only cause my parents more of a headache and nothing but trouble for the gala," he whispered softly as Jimin rolled his eyes and wondered if any of them were buying that excuse.
Taehyung glanced around quickly between all of them, squeezing Hoseok's hand slightly. "Pl- please- don't treat me any differently though... People will know something is wrong then. My parents are even trying to keep my asthma as quiet as possible," he whispered softly as Hoseok hugged Taehyung's head to his chest. Yoongi leaned close with a smile and rubbed both Hoseok and Taehyung's heads gently, huddling them all closer as he laid his head on Taehyung's own. "We're sorry to hear that, Taetae, baby," Seokjin stated softly, sighing with a shake of his head. "You shouldn't be forced to marry anyone at this age..." Seokjin trailed off, slowly walking towards Taehyung, Yoongi, and Hoseok.
Seokjin and Jimin slowly moved closer to the group, wrapping their arms tightly around each other as Taehyung sighed softly. He was glad that they bought that excuse as he hung his head in shame. Jimin was just as glad that they went along with that as Taehyung's and his eyes met in their huddle. Jimin's eyes dissolved into sorrow with the shared secret that remained unspoken.

Jungkook languidly stumbled towards the nurse's office, feeling someone's eyes on him as he leaned against one of the grimy walls. "What is it, old man?" he asked, glaring in the direction of the other male. The other shook his head, his blond hair tumbling in his face as he slowly approached Jungkook.
"Are we doing drugs in this school, Mr. Jeon? You know it's prohibited, don't you? And that you're still on a probation period, correct?" the other asked in a masculine and deep voice. Jungkook looked up towards the other as he scoffed, leaning his head against the wall. It felt cool against his heated skin. "What are you? My dad? I kicked his ass, I hope you know."
The other sighed in irritation and shook his head. "No, but I am your English Literature teacher while you're here. We, as a school, don't condone this sort of behavior. I hope that you know that sort of behavior will only keep you here even longer," he stated, lifting Jungkook's feet off the ground. Jungkook limply dropped into his arms, swaying his head against the other male's chest as he hauled Jungkook off towards the nurse's office.

Jimin opened the nurse's office door to see their English Lit teacher standing in front of him, carrying an incapacitated Jungkook. Jimin promptly stepped aside as their teacher stepped inside and laid Jungkook on one of the open beds, drawing the curtain around Taehyung's bed. "You in here again too? Are you okay?" he asked with interest, noticing Seokjin standing near Taehyung's bed. He lightly cleared his throat to seem more professional and met Taehyung's wide eyes as Taehyung smiled his usual boxy grin up at him. "Yeah, but I'll be fine! It happens sometimes," he stated, clarifying to their teacher the same thing he's used to always inform people.
Seokjin slowly stepped away from the group, silently slipping out of the room as their teacher nodded his head. "Well, I hope you get to feeling better, okay?" he stated, playfully ruffling Taehyung's hair. They watched as their teacher quietly left the room, shutting the door behind him as he came face-to-face with Seokjin. "Hello, Joonie," Seokjin greeted softly, smiling as he leaned closer to Namjoon.
"What are you doing in the hallway, Jin? It's not appropriate for us to meet like this without Eunjun present. Someone might think something more is going on between us," Namjoon stated, glancing around quickly as he took a quick step back from Seokjin. Namjoon swallowed hard as Seokjin stared at him, his fingers playing with their teacher's tie. "Well, why does Eunjun always have to be present when we hang out? Aren't you and I friends too?" he asked softly, trying to keep the decibels in his voice down so that none of them in the nurse's office would hear them.
Namjoon sighed exasperatedly as he yanked his tie from Seokjin's fingers, pressing it neatly against his white button-up shirt. "What if someone sees us and gets the wrong idea. I mean, yeah, we're friends too, but you like to be really up close and personal. That would look bad to anyone who doesn't know that we were friends before I applied for this job," Namjoon retorted, crossing his arms over his chest. Seokjin sighed with defeat, wondering when Namjoon would come around to noticing Seokjin's feelings towards him. "Well, let's take it somewhere they won't see us then, Joonie," Seokjin stated, rubbing his hands against the side of his shirt from anxiety. "I've kind of missed you, you know. We don't get to see each other much anymore now that I've graduated to the next grade level," he added softly, hanging his head in defeat.
Namjoon rolled his eyes at Seokjin's admission to missing him. "Is that why you've been hanging around Taehyung more, Jin? So that you can elude departing this school to see me more?" Namjoon asked softly, rubbing one of his hands down his face.
Seokjin nodded softly at Namjoon's words, looking up with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Come on," Namjoon stated, grabbing Seokjin's hand. "At least we should talk somewhere more private too," he added, leading Seokjin towards his classroom. Since he didn't have a class this period, they could use his room to talk.

Taehyung completed his treatment as he took the mask off of his face. Hoseok stopped Taehyung's hands promptly as he glanced behind him to try and have Jimin convince Taehyung to keep the mask on. "Wh- what if the nurse wants you to take another treatment, Tae?" Hoseok asked, still holding Taehyung's hands steady. Taehyung chuckled softly as he removed the mask anyway with a smile. "I normally only need one treatment, Hobi. If it's still bad after the first treatment, then I take another, but I'm good right now."
Hoseok gently moved his hands away from Taehyung's with a defeated sigh as he glanced up at Yoongi. He could tell something was bothering Yoongi as he gently grabbed Yoongi's hand and caressed his porcelain skin with the flat of his thumb. "What's wrong, love?" Hoseok asked, tilting his head as Yoongi flinched slightly. "Sorry? I kind of zoned out," Yoongi stated, glancing between Hoseok and Taehyung. "What were you saying?"
Jimin chuckled from behind them as Taehyung turned towards them, planting his feet on the ground and hopping off the bed. "I wonder how Jungkook is doing...? Mr. Kim brought him in here, but I haven't heard anything from that side," he noted, peeking around the curtain. He could see Jungkook passed out with his arm over his eyes on the hard brown leather bed the office provided. He sighed softly in relief as he watched Jungkook's chest rise and fall evenly.
"I think he's just fallen asleep," Taehyung whispered, giggling softly as he turned towards the others once more. "Actually... where's Jin?" Taehyung asked, glancing around the room to only see Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jimin now. "Did he wander off somewhere?"
Jimin glanced around as well, opening the nurse's door to glance around outside. "Hm? I don't really know. Maybe he had something to take care of," Jimin announced, closing the nurse's door once more. "I mean, class is in session right now. So, that's probably where he is, and that should seriously be where we are, Tae. You've been missing a lot of classes here recently and that's not going to get you out of here anytime soon."
Taehyung rolled his eyes as Jimin began to lecture him once more. "I know, I know. I know my parents want to see me outside soon too, but I just want to stay a little longer. I promise I'll straighten out soon," Taehyung declared as Hoseok stood from the edge of the mattress. He stretched his back out, reaching his arms high above him before wrapping an arm around Taehyung's neck. "Yeah, Minnie! We all hang around Taehyung because we all have one reason or another to stay here a little longer. Ease up a bit," Hoseok commented, glancing at Taehyung as Taehyung chuckled and smiled in his usual boxy fashion.
Jimin picked up on the passionate yearning behind Hoseok's gaze on Taehyung's face as he cleared his throat and nodded his head towards Yoongi. Hoseok instantly turned his head away from Taehyung, grabbing Yoongi's hand and intertwining their fingers with an effervescent smile. "Shall we get going to class then? We don't want Jimin to have an aneurysm," Hoseok teased as Jimin rolled his eyes.
"You can be a real asshole sometimes, you know that, right?" Jimin asked, crossing his arms over his chest as Yoongi opened the office door and slowly directed Hoseok out with him. Hoseok chuckled as Taehyung and Jimin followed them down the long corridor. "Yeah, yeah. I know," Hoseok laughed. "But you've got to admit, you do act like Taehyung's dad or something some days," he added, both Yoongi and Hoseok turning down an adjacent corridor. They waved towards Jimin and Taehyung before they could disappear too far down their hallway.
Taehyung turned towards Jimin with a soft smile as he gently bumped Jimin with his shoulder. "I don't mind you fussing over me, Minnie," he confessed softly as he grabbed Jimin's head and brushed his nose against Jimin's cheek. Jimin laughed softly before gently patting Taehyung's shoulder. "I know you don't mind. We've known each other for so long, it's almost like I am your older brother," he laughed as they approached the door to their classroom. They opened the door and slowly entered as the teacher turned her attention towards them.
"So nice of you to finally join us, Taehyung. I haven't seen you since the first day of class a few months ago. Take your seats. Now," she asserted, huffing as she continued on with her lecture. Jimin gave Taehyung an attentive look as they took their seats in the back of the class. Taehyung forced to sit next to one of his classmates that he'd shared his drugs with once before. He didn't know it when they'd first met, but he'd rather not be anywhere near this student now. He always felt as if the other's eyes were constantly watching his every move, judging him silently with his eyes memorizing every movement. It creeped Taehyung out after a while and he had started to avoid the guy, which was why he quit showing up to class in the first place.
