80- First Meetings

Hello all you beauties~♡ I hope that you all are well~♡ If not, I am always here to lend a listening ear, so please don't forget that~♡ So! I have almost finished all of my drafts for this story, which means (if you guys haven't already noticed) I am returning to work on Wish You Were Here again~♡ I am excited to continue that because I really liked that story too but I was too busy to keep up with them both.🥺 But now, I can continue! I hope you all will look forward to that one again soon.:3 I hope you guys realize that while these chapters may be a little rushed, it's mainly because Tae and Kook are separated and nobody really wants to read that.😂🤣 So, I am hurrying to get them back together again without rushing it too much~♡ There isn't really anything too triggering unless you find babies and house formats triggering, but please remain advised for future chapters~♡ Without further ado, please enjoy this next chapter~♡

Jungkook peeked at the three sleeping children, his eyes wandering over each precious one of them as his heart swelled with love for them already. He didn't know he could love anything more than he loved Taehyung, but these children were little blessings that had tears welling up in Jungkook's eyes. "May I hold them?" Jungkook asked softly, wanting to hold all of them, but choosing to do so individually. Jimin nodded in approval as Jungkook carefully reached inside the playpen to pick Gabriel up from the cushioned padding.

He sat down on the chaise lounge as he cradled Gabriel carefully in his arms. He stared down at his firstborn son, his tears slowly dripping from his cheeks as he tenderly rubbed his nose against Gabriel's nose. He placed a gentle kiss against Gabriel's nose as he continued to stare at him, overwhelming emotions of love and regret causing him to sob softly. Jimin walked over towards Jungkook and tenderly rubbed his back as he watched Jungkook interact with Gabriel. "A father's love for his child is a beautiful thing," Jimin commented softly, watching as Jungkook nodded in agreement. The thing Jungkook regret most was how he treated Taehyung in the beginning because now, he couldn't envision his life turning out any other way. He did somewhat regret ever feeling afraid to have children with Taehyung because all three of them were beautiful, tiny creatures that he couldn't envision being without now too.

After some time of holding Gabriel, Jungkook carefully stood to his feet and placed Gabriel back in his spot on the padding. Cautiously, Jungkook picked the child in the middle up and cradled their fragile body carefully against him. "Is this one Annalise? Or is this Ezra?" Jungkook asked hesitantly, feeling awful that he had to ask which child was his second son. Jimin smiled tenderly, completely understanding that Jungkook had never seen them before and that mixing them up was going to happen. They couldn't expect Jungkook to know which one was his child immediately upon seeing them, the twins hadn't even developed any discerning features yet. "That one is Ezra. Annalise was the weaker twin so she's smaller than Ezra and she was born thirteen seconds after Ezra. So she's also the baby of all your babies," Jimin explained as he watched Jungkook tenderly kiss this baby's nose as well.

"They're all such beautiful babies," Jungkook commented softly, more tears falling from his cheeks as he spent some time with Ezra. After admiring the newborn baby boy, he gently placed Ezra back into the pen before he carefully lifted Annalise into his arms. She flinched in his grasp, her eyes peeking open as he stared down at her. The room was still as she glanced around the room, her tiny eyes finally wandering over Jungkook. Jimin sighed a breath of relief when Annalise remained quiet and didn't start crying.

Jungkook offered a small smile as her tiny hand clasped his index finger, sucking on the tip of his finger. Taehyung's mother chuckled softly as she held a bottle out towards Jungkook, urging him to try feeding her. "She's probably hungry," she announced softly, laughing as Annalise released Jungkook's finger for the bottle. Jungkook eagerly sat back down on the chaise lounge with Annalise and the bottle, placing the nipple to her lips. She eagerly accepted the bottle, helping Jungkook hold the container as she sucked the milk down until she was full. Jimin discreetly took several pictures of Jungkook interacting with each child because he knew Taehyung would want to see this.

When Annalise released the nipple, Jungkook placed the bottle by his feet and rocked her gently in his arms. Before he could try to rock her to sleep though, Taehyung's mother stopped him with a gentle pat on his shoulder. "She needs to be burped first or she'll be cranky when she wakes up again," she warned as Jungkook acknowledged her advice. Taehyung's mother tenderly lifted Annalise's frail body, placed her against Jungkook's shoulder, and positioned one of his hands under Annalise's behind to support her. Immediately, Jimin started to record a video to send to Taehyung later because if he thought it was adorable, Taehyung would just eat it up. Taehyung's mother gently plopped Jungkook's other hand against Annalise's back. "Now, you just pat her back until she alleviates any pressure in her tummy," Taehyung's mother explained as Jungkook did as she had instructed. He tenderly patted Annalise's back until he heard her burp and chuckled softly at the cute, minor noise.

Jungkook gently changed her position yet again as he started to rock her to sleep once more, this time humming a lullaby for her. In no time, Jungkook had Annalise sleeping yet again as he stood to his feet and carefully placed Annalise back in the playpen. After staring at the sleeping children for several more moments, Jungkook finally tore himself away from their side. Jimin could see the turmoil in Jungkook's gaze as he sighed heavily and walked towards the center of the living room. He'd never seen the inside of his own house before, but Taehyung had decorated it quite elegantly. Jungkook couldn't argue with Taehyung's taste in elegance and charm. "Can I take a look around?" Jungkook asked hesitantly because he didn't want to take up all of their time. He just wanted to feel like he belonged here with Taehyung, even if just for an inconsequential moment.

Jimin offered a soft smile as he nodded, gesturing towards the floating, steel-enforced spiral staircase made of pure white marble. "Take a look. I'm sure Taehyung would want you well acquainted with your own home," Jimin reassured, allowing Jungkook to explore on his own. He trusted Jungkook a lot more now because Jungkook had given him no incentive not to trust him anymore. He watched from the living room as Jungkook took the first step in his excursion to explore their home.

Jungkook slowly walked up the stairs, noticing how bare the walls appeared. He'd always seen family portraits or pictures of his parents somewhere at his parent's house. Although, Taehyung and Jungkook had never taken any professional pictures together- now that he'd thought about it. It was time they changed that so that they would have family pictures in their home too. Jungkook turned the corner to see a long and open hallway that directed him towards several closed doors within the brightly lit area. The bay windows on the right side of the hallway allowing the sunlight to illuminate the inside of the entire central house. Jungkook peered over the open banister on the left side of the hallway to see that it opened up the view of the entire living room below. He could see Jimin staring up at him with a soft smile before Jungkook continued on his way down the hallway.

Jungkook opened the door to his left once he got away from the hallway, finding that it was Gabriel's nursery room. He could discern that much by the colorful letters that spelled out his name above the pristine white crib. Jungkook liked the fact that Taehyung had decorated the nursery using neutral colors and tones rather than going all out with the blue. There were blue and purple accents along the walls and within his crib, but Jungkook was appreciative of the sophistication of the room. He took several moments to admire Taehyung's taste in decorating before closing the door behind him.

He walked a little further down the long corridor, opening the second door on his left. He could tell that this was one of the twins' rooms, although it wasn't easy to distinguish which one since Taehyung decorated with neutral tones yet again. This one did have accents of yellow and blue-green, causing his mind to ponder the idea. It wasn't until Jungkook noticed a small blue blanket within the crib that he could determine this room as Ezra's. He figured it was because Ezra didn't have a name until recently that there were no colorful letters to display his name. He couldn't be positive until he saw Annalise's room.

Jungkook smiled to himself before leaving the room and closing the door behind him. The room beside Ezra's room was a bathroom that Taehyung had decorated with white and gold with lilac purple accents. The room at the very end of that hallway was the one Jungkook was wondering who occupied it. When he opened that door, his vision was met with lavish decorations of royal purple and deep red with accents of gold. The furniture was mature and sophisticated with a divan tucked away in a separate part of the room. That part of the room had a bookcase, bookcases, and a television mounted against the wall across from the settee. The bed was circular and raised on a higher platform, the black and gold duvet encompassing the bed so that it trailed the floor. It was the body pillow he'd given Taehyung as a Christmas gift on the bed that allowed Jungkook to recognize this room as the one he'd share with Taehyung soon.

Jungkook stepped further into the room in awe, his eyes wide as his mouth fell open. There was a double-sided linear fireplace in the center of the room across from the bed and ensuite bathroom. Jungkook noticed a single picture of Jungkook and Taehyung in a sterling silver picture frame on the dark, redwood dresser against the wall next to him. A large television mounted on the wall above the dresser. Jungkook walked over towards the door off to his left to discover that it was an ensuite bathroom for them with an expansive double waterfall shower that could be shared. The walk-in closets and vanity mirrors on either side of the shared, open-air shower with laser drains. Jungkook could discern that one closet was Taehyung's and the other was for his own belongings. Jungkook explored Taehyung's closet, realizing there was a crystal waterfall chandelier hanging above an island that stored trinkets and jewelry that wasn't being worn. Jungkook then explored the other walk-in closet to discern this would be his by how empty it was. The island for his unworn jewelry was also empty as he looked up to see recess lighting with a trace ceiling in this closet. The wall that separated their walk-in closets and vanities being where the toilet was nestled for more privacy.

Jungkook was astounded as he closed the bathroom door, staring at the bed for several moments. He stepped onto the platform before slowly sinking onto the bed to take everything he'd just witnessed in. Immediately, the plush bed contoured to his butt and thighs. Jungkook felt like he was sitting on a cloud as he glanced behind him on the enormous bed, wondering how alone Taehyung felt in this bed every night. He had to stop thinking like that when his heart clenched painfully because he really abhorred leaving his baby alone. He stood to his feet with a soft sigh as he walked back towards the hallway. Silently, he closed their door behind him, resting his back against the sturdy wood as he tilted his head back. The guilt he'd tried to dissuade from earlier was back in full force and he felt sick. He wanted to be living here with Taehyung and helping to care for his family, but instead, he was stuck still finishing his court-appointed year of anger management. He could kick himself for acting like such an idiot, but he knew Taehyung didn't want him to think like that.

He hesitantly pushed himself off the door, glancing at the door that was right across from Ezra's room. He opened the door to reveal a neutral toned room with accents of pink and turquoise. He could determine this was Annalise's room by the colors alone, but in colorful letters above the crib was her name as well. Jungkook chuckled softly at Taehyung's odd choice of colors for the accents in each room, but he loved it all the same. He closed that door and turned to the last door at the opposite end of the corridor. The room almost had an ominous feel around it as Jungkook approached closer and when he opened the door, he could immediately tell why. In the center of the room, in front of three very large bay windows with the dark curtains drawn shut was a massive redwood desk that honed a laptop used for a home office.

Jungkook could detect this was the bane of Taehyung's frustrations from the papers strewn across the desk and floor. He refused to search this desk, remembering what he found in Taehyung's home office at his parent's house. He didn't want to discover more problems that Taehyung was dealing with and feel even more ashamed that he couldn't help him in any way. He hastily shut the door and made his way back down the stairs, the look of remorse on his face made Jimin sigh softly. He stood from the couch, walked over to Jungkook, and offered a small smile with an appreciative look. "He's fine, I promise. He has me to help him every step of the way and he's very strong-willed. He won't cry and complain even when things are hard because he knows you're trying your best too," Jimin confided with a smile as Jungkook smiled slightly at the reassurance.

"Now," Jimin started excitedly, chuckling as he aimed Jungkook towards the other staircase that led down. "Taehyung has already decided to give you your own whole space to decorate and make into whatever you want," Jimin announced with even more excitement, directing Jungkook down the stairs. They both came to a stop at the bottom landing, Jungkook staring at the vast space he could decorate. "Tae thought you'd like a man cave to get away from the chaos every now and then," Jimin explained softly, watching Jungkook's expression shift from remorse to joy. Jungkook had never had his own little expanse just for him and he couldn't be more grateful to Taehyung for thinking of giving him his own domain. Jungkook smiled softly before turning back towards Jimin, hugging the other for solace. "Thank you for showing me this. And even though I haven't seen the entirety of the house, I think I'm done exploring for now," Jungkook stated gratefully, smiling to himself. Jungkook needed to see something like this before returning to rehab so that he had something to keep his mind off of the unpleasant thoughts before he graduated.
