Ichiro [POV]

"Okay class the first group will be Kaminari and Uraraka vs Iida and Aoyama" All Might announced as the four of them took their positions in the arena.  Everyone else took seats in the stands to watch.  Emi shuffled over to me and Mina

"How you holding up Ichi?" she asked wrapping her arm around my shoulder

"I think I may pass out" I responded honestly

"Are you nervous about facing Midoriya or being partners with someone you don't know?" she asked

"Everything" I exclaimed

"Everything" I exclaimed

"Why don't you tell All Might?" she suggested

"I can't be a hero if I just take the easy way out" I insisted

"I guess you're right but I don't want to see you pass out while your fighting do I make myself clear?" she scolded

"I'll be fine" I insisted but I didn't really believe that very much.  I didn't even realize the match had ended already

"Ichiroooo it's our turn" Mina insisted grabbing my hand pulling me to my feet

"Good luck Ichi" Emi smiled at me as Mina dragged me into the arena

"Ichi that's a cute nickname" Mina commented as we got to the ground

"yeah" I nodded twisting my earring around in the hole

"Alright second match Tsuyu and Midoriya vs Mina and Ichiro" All might announced with made me jump my earring falling out onto the ground

"My earring" I muttered looking down at the ground

"What was that?  Is something wrong?" Mina asked

"No I just...., I just lost my earring no big deal" I mumbled

"are you sure it's not big deal?" she asked

"Yeah let's just focus on the fight" I insisted

"And start!" All might shouted and immediately the girls tongue shot out of her mouth I jumped out of the way startled

Midoriya [POV]

Ichiro was sort of at a disadvantage here especially since everyone knew each other's quirks and what not but he was completely in the dark.  I know his quirk and I told Tsuyu so now she knows.  I doubt he knows what hers is or even Mina's.  I told Tsuyu to try to capture him as fast as possible as he is very good at close combat and is quite fast himself.  Tsuyu kept trying to wrap her tongue around him but he kept dodging.  He was a lot faster than I assumed

"Midoriya go get Mina" Tsuyu croaked

"Yeah" I nodded rushing at Mina

Tsuyu [POV]

Midoriya told me that Ichiro was fast and strong but I didn't expect this.  He dodge my tongue without a problem.  It didn't even look like he could see with his bangs in the way.  Midoriya told me that I should keep my distance from him though I think that's what he was trying to do himself which I found odd for someone with a close combat quirk.  I decided it would be better to try to get a bit closer to get better accuracy to try to capture him.  I jumped closer to him until we were a few arm's distances apart.  He clenched his jaw jumping back a few paces

"Ichiro don't just dodge attack" Mina urged shooting acid at Midoriya

"I'm sorry" he muttered quietly grabbing my tongue as I reacted quickly to his brief second of opening.  His hand immediately turned to steel around my tongue.  He pulled back pulling me towards him.  Where did he get the steel there's only dirt around here?

"Be careful with him Tsuyu he usually wears a lot of metal jewelry even if it may not look like it at first"  I remember Midoriya warning me.  I scanned him up and down in those brief seconds looking for anything metal on him

"Kero Kero" I exclaimed as he went for another punch turning his fist into metal as soon as it would have hit me but I managed to duck down my tongue still in his grasp so I couldn't go too far.  Ichiro gasped out as I kicked him in the stomach and he let go of my tongue stumbling back.  I managed to sweep his feet from out under him surprisingly and he fell to the ground

"I'm sorry" He mumbled again over and over

"Kero?" I tilted my head to one side confused.  He was trembling I leaned over him thinking something was wrong since Midoriya did say something about anxiety.  What I didn't expect was for him to sweep my feet out from under me as he quickly jumped to his feet.  Going down for what would be a finishing blow Midoriya came out of nowhere knocking him off balance away from me

"I would prefer not to fight Ichiro if I don't have to for his own sake but I will if I have to" Midoriya's voice rang through my head

"Ow" Ichiro whined rubbing where Midoriya hit him

"are you okay Tsuyu?" he asked

"Yes thank you" I muttered taking the hand that he held out to me as Mina shot her acid at me.  It burned through my clothes on my shoulder

"Midoriya I'm gonna throw you at him" I announced wrapping my tongue around his waist

"What?" he asked as I launched him going to fight Mina myself

Midoriya [POV]

Tsuyu threw me through the air but I think she miscalculated where I would land.  Ichiro spun around on his heel ready to attack though I could tell he was nervous, unsure of what to do.  His eyes were a deep shade of magenta, he was trying to focus but he was still distracted.  I took this chance to charge at him attempting to use one for all because I Knew I wouldn't be able to land a good hit on him without it.  He didn't even try to dodge which would have been very easy.  He must have underestimated my strength and apparently so did I.  I held his arms in front of him in an 'X' formation turning himself to steel.  As my fist connected with his arm I heard a sickening crack.  I figured that it was my bones but I didn't feel anything except my fist hurt from where I punched solid steel.  Ichiro cried out jumping back I noticed his sleeve had been torn away and a huge crack ran through  his left forearm as it was still made of steel.  The steel faded away and a huge cut was left gushing blood.  He winced clutching his arm.  He looked up at me the purple fading back to a navy blue but quickly switched to a dark red.  I smirked, perfect that must have bought him out of his shell.  He let me run at him again but he dodged this time being more careful the crack getting worse every time he turned into a statue.  Ichiro clenched his jaw as this time he ran at me throwing a punch.  Though since he was left handed it was weaker than it could have been with that crack and I was easily able to block it but that was just a decoy.  As I blocked his left hand he swung at me with his right though before he could make contact he stopped, collapsing to the ground.  I looked at Tsuyu who had wrapped up Mina with her tongue.  I thought she did something to Ichiro but she's got her hands full

"Ichiro?" I asked kneeling down next to him

"Is young Ichiro conscious?" All Might asked I shook Ichiro's shoulders but he didn't respond

"No?" I questioned still unsure how to answer

"Then that means Team Midoriya and Tsuyu wins" All Might announced.  I pressed my fingers to Ichiro's neck feeling for a pulse.  I felt nothing for around 30 seconds before I could feel a small slow pulse.  He opened his eyes slowly, they were still a dark red

"Ichiro you okay you just passed out?" I asked offering my hand to him.  He took it and I pulled him to his feet swaying slightly

"Yeah...., Yeah..., I'm fine?" he mumbled unsure of himself

"Let's go sit back down" Tsuyu helped up Mina and she ran over to us

"Ichiro what happened why'd you just pass out we were doing so good" Mina asked.  Ichiro looked down at the floor not answering, he seemed kind of out of it.  She pursed her lips confused

"Ichiro my boy are you alright?" All might asked as we got up to the stands

"My arm...," He responded

"ICHIRO" Emiko shouted grabbing his hands tears in the corners of her eyes "What did I tell you?  I told you not to pass out"

"Emiko why don't you take young Ichiro to Recovery Girl to get his arm taken care of" All Might suggested

"Yeah I'm not up for a while" she squeezed Ichiro's hand starting to pull him away

Emiko [POV]

"Ichiro why'd you even pass you you were into that fight I saw it in your eyes" I asked concerned

"I don't know I didn't do it on purpose" He responded slowly

"You didn't?  Then what happened I thought you used that as like a coping mechanism" I asked

"I don't..., I think I'm still a bit messed up from being in the hospital" He shook his head unsure.  I knocked on the door to Recovery Girls office

"Come in Come in" She exclaimed as I opened the door

"Emiko, Ichiro what brings you here?" She smiled

"Ichiro cracked his arm fighting and passed out a little later" I explained

"Oh dear let me see" Ichiro let go of his arm blood dripping onto the floor

"I knew this could happen...., but it never has before" He muttered slowly

"It's natural for people to faint with pain or at the sight of their own blood" Recovery Girl explained sitting him down on the bed kissing him on the hand the cut healing.

"I'm not afraid of blood...., everything else maybe but not blood" he responded

"Hm? Why don't you rest here a bit then I can keep a watch over you and Emiko you need to get back to class if I'm not mistaken win your fight" Recovery Girl announced

"Yeah see you later Ichi" I waved to Ichi as I left but he didn't wave back or even really react.  Well this was new.
