INDIANA, HAWKINS. BYERS RESIDENCE.

he looked at me and nodded. "what is it?" he asked. I held onto my hands and looked down figuring out my words. he gently took my hand holding it tightly. "take your time," he told me I nodded and began to speak.

"well, firstly just dont freak out," I told him and he nodded. "Um," I started with a shaky breath. "I," i stuttered.

"it's okay, you can tell me," he said, holing my hand.

"I have powers," I blurted out and I looked to him his eyebrows were slightly raised and I looked down. "I can set fires when I'm angry," I finshed and he looked to him. I felt my hair blow out of my face and helped me look at him well.

"is that?.." he trailed off, I sighed and finished off for him.

"how my mom died? y-yeah," I told him looking back at the ground, feeling my eye pricked with tears. "I didn't mean for her to burn up, I really didn't, I never knew I had these powers," I told him looking up at him with sad eyes, he looked at me with sympathy and stroked the back of my hand.

"well what made you so angry?" he asked, I took a deep breath and looked forward.

"we had gotten into an arguement, about school and how I misbehave. I remember screaming at her in fustration and saw her jumper light up," I said, I closed my eyes. "I tried to put it out but it spreaded so quickly. she fell over and the carpet was on fire, before I knew it my mom was gone and my dad dragged me out of the house before it collapsed on her," I said feeling tears fall down my eyes.

"oh, well, listen, that's the past now, your mom, she's gone but you can learn from your mistakes right?" he asked softly, I nodded and wiped my eyes. "you should tell the group," he told me, I looked at him frightened, shaking my head.

"no, I would freak them out and be kicked out of the group-," will eventually cut me off my gibberish.

"me and my friends are dorks, they'd love to hear that you have powers!" he comforted. I shrugged and gave him a small smile. "was that a big secret of yours?" he asked and I nodded, tucking my hair behind my ear. "d'you want me to tell you mine?" he asked, I looked at him and shrugged.

"if you want," I told him he smiled.

"well, it all started in 1983, I was missing for a week, I was trapped in another dimension," he told me, my eyebrows raised and I let him carry on. "there was a girl called eleven, she help my friends an family find me in that other dimension, she has powers like you," he said and I smiled, knowing that someone is like me is like a massive weight lifted off of my chest. "then in 1984, I was having flashbacks of the dimension, we called it the upside down, so then eventually I had more episodes and the creature possessed me, we had to burn it out of me, then it became peaceful once again but I'm not sure if anything will happen in the future," he told me and also have me a weak smile.

"well we're both some traumatised kids," I joked, he laughed and looked at me in the eyes.

"y/n..." will started, I smiled and looked into his eyes.

"yeah?" I replied.

"would it be okay if we tell my mom?" he's asked me, holding my hand still, I nodded.

"I guess so," I told him.

we walked back inside, hand in hand but let go once we got through the front door, we couldn't see joyce so we decided to lock the door and head back to wills room.

he got in his bed and I got in too, he moved closer to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, I put mine around his neck, pulling ourselves closer, realising we're cuddling. this was a nice feeling, butterflies were jumping in my stomach like mad.

"I'm here through the night, don't be scared," he whispered into my hair, held him tighter and closed my eyes.
