twas the next day and I was in my dad's car heading off to school. I wore my red scrunchie (half up half down) with some shin length red socks, a plain white shirt and some denim shorts.

my dad parked outside of the school drop off and I grabbed my backpack.

"have a good at sweetie," he told me and I left without saying goodbye.

last night after my friends left he told me that him and jennifer began to date after moms death and were planning on tying the knot. I hated this. he can't see her as how I see her especially after our fighting he still wants to marry her.

I heard him leave eventually and walked over to the bike rack am saw a large banner against the wall.

"y/n, you look sporty!" max said walking over to me in jeans, a shirt underneath the red jacket. I gave her a weak smile as I waited on the bike rack. "are you okay? did something happen?" she asked and got off her skateboard, picking it up and held my shoulder.

"well turns out my dad and jennifer were dating since my mom died and they're planning in getting married," I gave her a fake smile, her eyes widened.

"no way," she said and I nodded, she furrowed her brows.

"I'm gonna burn that bitch, in telling you, I don't want her to be my mom, she's no where near mother material," I told her and folded my arms.

"I wouldn't blame you," she said and I smiled a little.

"hey!" dustin yelled riding down the hill with lucas, mike and will. we waved back as they locked their bikes. will knew something was wrong.

"you okay?" will asked and the group turned around.

"no I am not because my dad and jennifer want to get married and I feel like my world is falling apart," I said forming my lips in a line and will jumped over to hug me, including max, then eventually the boys did too.

"it'll be okay," will told me, I sighed as everyone pulled away.

"let's just get this day over an done with," I said as the bell rang. I linked my arms with will as we all headed off to science.
