INDIANA, HAWKINS. HOME.

it was sort of silent after talking about why my belongings didn't end up at my house. well before I make you confused even more reading this book with pot holes everywhere let me tell you what happened.

I killed my mother.

nobody knows but me.

there was a fire that broke out inside of the house because of me. my mom and I were argueing about school and my behaviour in school. I got so heated that I set a light to her jumper on accident. I didn't mean for her jumper to catch a light, I didnt even know I was capable of doing it. she fell over on her feet and the carpet and it spreaded across the house. my dad grabbed me out of the house before it collapsed on us.

I wanted to drag my mom out of the house and stop the fire from spreading but she was long gone. I didn't even know how to put it out, it was the first time I realised I had powers really.

we lived on friends couches for days until my dad found a job and got us a house in Hawkins. I will never regret losing my mom, she was my guide to defeat the world and I killed her. I am a monster.

"you okay?" he asked me, realising I had been tearing up just thinking about my mom. I wiped my eye and sat up on my bed. "oh you're crying, I'm sorry," he said and walked over to me and sat down on the bed and held my hand gently.

"I'm okay, trust me," i laughed it off, he looked and me worried and squeezed my hand.

"you can talk to me you know," he said and looked deeply into my eyes.

"I-I know, it's just, not now, soon, just not now," I told him and looked at him sadly, I reached over sand gave him and big hug, hugging him tightly. he hugged back and rubbed my back for comfort. I felt like crying in that moment but I swallowed back the tears a little.

"y/n!" joyce yelled from downstairs. I pulled away and ran downstairs. "he's outside," she told me. I looked over to the window and saw a car with him inside. joyce quickly ran out of the house.

"what the hell y/d/n," she yelled walking up to the car. "jim, you too!" she yelled whilst my dad walked out of the car.

"we just had a small gathering," he told her she got angry but cooled herself down.

"just get inside and rest, I'll pick her up in the morning for school," she told him, looking over to will and indicates for him to go with her. I waved to will and got inside.

"c'mon dad," I told him carrying him towards the house whilst his friend drove away.

my dad collapse on the sofa and quickly fell asleep drooling, I walked back upstairs and went to bed.
