Plan C

Seeing Sebastian jealous, even when there is honestly no contest, is very hot.  I almost wish he wasn't taking me home.  Or that his sweet little car had more space to maneuver around in.

Wow.... He really has corrupted me.

We finish out coffees and cookies then head back to his car. In no time Sebastian is parked back at my, well, Blaine's house.  And like every other time, Sebastian is standing outside of the car door before I even have an opportunity to touch the handle.

I giggle as he offers me his hand, "Sebby, are you sure you're not secretly moonlighting as the Flash, like your costume back on Halloween?  You're always so speedy."  He chuckles, lacing his fingers through mine as we walk up the sidewalk together.  "Well if that is your way of calling me you're own personal super hero, then I'll take the compliment."

I'm pouting now.

We made it to the front porch, standing directly outside of the house.

I don't want to leave him.

I'm staring forlornly at my feet when Sebastian uses two fingers to raise my chin so that I can look at him. Into his eyes. Those beautiful green orbs, clear and deep as the ocean whose color they share. His fingers traced over my cheekbones before moving to brush my hair behind my ear. His voice is soft, sweet. "Shann, will I get to see you again this week? Maybe do something again next weekend?? My parents have a cute little cabin, or there is this resort nearby with a really good spa. We could try it out."

He's so sweet.

I sigh. "Bastian, we can do something during the week but unfortunately I can't next weekend. Saturday is the prom at McKinley. I don't want to go, but everyone is spouting that whole 'right of passage' thing."  He nods sadly, "That sucks.  You're taking Clarington aren't you?"  I shake my head and whisper out plan c.  His eyes go wide as the smile on his face grows.  "That's actually happening!?  When you first suggested it I never thought it would pan out.  That is really cool when you think about it."

I smile shyly up at him, fingers toying with the collar of his rugby shirt.  "I hope it will be fun.  But honestly I would rather ditch the whole thing and spend time with you instead."  Sebastian sighs and presses a small kiss to my forehead.  "I'll make a deal with you, Princess.  If the night totally sucks you can call me, regardless of the time and I will come and rescue you."

"Really?! Promise Sebby??"

He smiles down at me, "Of course Princess. Any time on Saturday. Regardless and I'll be there."  I throw my arms around his neck, tackling him in a hug.

Thank you so much Sebastian.

He giggles, holding me tightly.  "Shann, if you don't let go soon then I won't be able to leave you." My grip on him eases up some as I drop back down on my feet. "Do you have to leave Bastian??" He nods, voice soft as his hands gently reach up to remove mine from around his neck and shoulders.  "Unfortunately Pretty Girl, school tomorrow and all.  But call me if you need me.  I know public school events like that have got to be horrible."  He pulls a face at the mention of public schools, quickly composing himself though to press small kisses to the knuckles of both of my hands.

I'll miss you Sebastian....   Please call me or text me when you get back to the dorms.

I wouldn't dream otherwise Shannon.  My Love, be good okay.

I nod as he releases his grip on my hands, dropping sweet kisses in my hair.  I meet him halfway when he bends down to kiss me.  Sweet kisses.  Fiery kisses.   Until we are both breathless and my fingers and digging into the material of his rugby shirt, his hand firmly on my back.  Pressing our bodies closely together.  I'm gasping for breath as we separate. Sebastian presses one more small kiss to my forehead and then takes a step back.   "Shann, if I don't leave now, I honestly never will."

I bite my lip and look down sadly. I know... He lifts my chin, places a small kiss to my nose and then steps back with a wink. Quick squeeze of my hand and he is walking back down the sidewalk to his little black Porsche.

I watch him until he is gone from my sight. Only then do I enter the house.

Instantly my senses are on overload as I am inundated with the smells of dinner and Blaine firing questions at me.

"So did you have fun?  Took you long enough to get back.  Who did everyone bring??"

I'm speechless but thankfully my aunt stops his progress rather quickly.  "Darling, she just got back.  Let her breathe."  Blaine huffs back to the couch.  My aunt continues in her gentle manner.  "You look like you had a wonderful time, Love Bug.  Blainey was sure to send your parents some of the photos he took.  Sebastian looked amazing in that tuxedo as well.   Why don't you go change. I'm making pot roast for dinner, but it may be a while. If you could help with some garlic bread when you are ready, I'd appreciate it." I nod to my aunt and then head up the stairs to my room so that I can finally put something on other than this yellow prom dress.

In no time I am back in fairly normal clothing, my dress hung back with care in my closet. The rest of the afternoon is filled catching up on homework, reading and helping Aunt Pammy with dinner. Blaine has been peppering me for details of Dalton's prom but I really don't want to talk about it.

I'm not looking forward to the McKinley prom.  But like everything else in life, whenever something is anticipated with dread, it feels as if time speeds up.  And that is precisely what happens.  Sebastian and I get to see each other on Wednesday but the rest of the week is just a blur.

School.

Singing.

Homework.

Rinse and repeat.

Before I know it Saturday morning is here. I don't want to go to prom. I really don't. But plans have been made. A dress sits in my closet. And a date is supposedly on its way.

Plan C.

Sighing I fix my hair in a side fishtail braid, light makeup, dangling earrings.  Simple makeup.  I'm trying to give off an only slightly amused look with this.  Dress on, nude heels and I check out my reflection.

I don't look retched but I still would rather not be going to this dance.

Like at all.

I'm still contemplating my reflection, my life when the doorbell rings. I hear Blaine answering it.

Three male voices talking to each other. Blaine, Kurt and a male voice I immediately recognize.

Someone I haven't seen in months. But still heard out my request, never questioned, just accepted and drove out here.

I know I'm going to get lectured later though.  I sigh to myself as I turn away from the mirror.  Grabbing a small bag and my phone I head downstairs to meet everyone.

"...it's nice to finally meet you.  Blaine and Shannon have mentioned you before."

"Only good I hope."

Blaine laughs.  "Of course.  Would you expect anything else.  Still so surprised she decided on this.  Thought for sure she would be going with Bas or something."

"You know her...  but why would I ever say no.  Just call me your beck and call boy this evening.  Especially if I had to drive so far to get here."

I laugh softly, half way down the stairs, enough to draw attention from all three guys standing in the living room.  Kurt in his Alexander McQueen inspired ensemble, complete with couture kilt.  Blaine in a sleek black Armani suit.  And then my date, telepathically matched in a small way to my dress.

He smirks as I continue down the stairs, "Shann, I'm going to have to start calling you Cranberry with a dress like that.  Unfortunately that just doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as Pumpkin does."

I giggle as I curtsy sweetly at the bottom of the stairs.  "Thanks so much for doing this for me Twinkle Toes."
