Just a Friendly Brunch
Thank goodness for this soundproof room. I'm pretty sure that our friends would be scarred for life if they heard any of the noises that came out of the bathroom while Sebastian and I were in the shower. Blaine would most DEFINITELY want to kill him and lock me up in a convent for the rest of eternity.
But what they don't know can't hurt them, right?
Who knew you could get clean by being so very dirty....
All too soon Sebastian and I are standing back in my room wrapped in our warm fluffy towels. Mine the pale lavender and his the sea green, so much like his eyes this morning. He wraps his arms around me, trying to keep me warm.
How incredibly safe and secure I feel in his arms, like nothing can touch me as long as I am with him.
That even though he is almost a full foot taller than me that we fit together perfectly.
I sigh softly, reconsidering the plans I made with Rachel. "Seb....." He places a gentle kiss on my forehead and then looks down at me with a smile. "Yes Love?" I grab one of his hands in mine and start absentmindedly playing with his fingers. "Sebastian, do we have to leave? Can't we just stay here. You could sneak down to the garage real quick to find the mini fridge and microwave. I bet Highlands would just let me re-enroll. I know you're not generally too keen on public schools, but you would make an exception if it meant not having to leave, right?"
I look up hopefully into his eyes. He just shakes his head and smiles slightly at me. "Princess, you and I both know that would never work. Our parents would find out, your aunt and cousin, instead of being able to stay together they would just tear us apart. We need to play this cool otherwise they'll never take us seriously. The last thing we need are the adults whose approval we're looking for thinking that we're just some silly teenagers with a case of puppy love."
I sigh and pull away, "That is what I was afraid you would say." He heads over towards his bag to get dressed. "Never fear Pretty Girl. We just need to be a little patient and everything we want will come true. Just trust me."
"But Bas, I thought I was supposed to be the super smart one in this relationship?" I hear him laughing as I quickly pick an outfit for the day from my bag, black leggings and a long pink tunic style top. "Princess, I just have more experience getting adults to believe what I want. It comes with the 'bad boy' territory."
I giggle softly as I turn back around to face him. He just looks so adorable, even in only a simple grey t-shirt and jeans. I can't help myself as I cross the room to place a small kiss to his lips. "Sebastian, you're not really a bad boy, you're just drawn that way..."
A giant smile spreads across his face at my comment, lighting up his entire being with joy. "Love, you did not just compare me with Jessica Rabbit." I blush as he continues, he caught me. "You're such a dork sometimes. But honestly that's why I love you, so sweet and pure. So perfect."
I hum in agreement as I go to kiss him once again. "Sebastian when you say adorable things like that, it makes it so difficult for me to leave you." He bends down to meet me halfway, a quick kiss, nothing more. Then he straightens up, checking the time on his watch and grabs my hand. "Well Princess, we should head down before they send someone back up here."
As much as don't want to, I let Sebastian lead me out of the room. At the base of the stairs the only one I see is Rachel, pacing back and forth impatiently. She is nibbling on her bottom lip and constantly checking her watch. I swear she is so wrapped up in her worry that she doesn't even notice Sebastian and I standing before her at first.
I reach out a hand and place it on her arm to stop her pacing and she jumps. "Jumpy much Streisand?" I just give Sebastian a look as she registers us standing there. I smile apologetically at her. "Sorry if we startled you Rach. Where is everyone?"
We start to head for the door by the time she answers my question. "They all headed to the diner already. Blaine was worried about finding a table large enough for all of us. The other guys were taking bets as to whether or not you were actually going to leave your bedroom. So they left me, sort of as a guarantee." She just shrugs as we get into my car.
I pull out of the driveway and start the short trip to the diner with Sebastian and Rachel. "Wow, it is wonderful to know that my own friends have such little faith in me." Sebastian reaches over and grabs my hand, pressing a small kiss to it. Rachel pipes up from the back seat, "I don't think it's that. They've just all seen how you guys can get wrapped up in each other and lose track of time. But it doesn't really bother me, Finn and I were like that in the beginning too."
Her comments sound a little sad and I can see her looking wistfully through the rear view mirror. "Is there anything you need to talk about Rach?" She carefully glances at Sebastian and shakes her head. "No, no, this is your weekend. Remember, you guys are celebrating your engagement! I know we can't talk about this once we're at breakfast but it is super exciting. Sebastian, you better get her an amazing ring to make up for having us all wait."
I park the car in the lot at the diner and look back a Rachel with a large smile. "Thank you so much for being an amazing friend!" She hugs me before exiting the car. Sebastian follows and opens my door for me. He addresses her softly before we head into the restaurant. "Don't worry Berry. I'm narrowing down my choices, but trust me, it will be amazing...."
I smile at the two of them and I interlace my fingers with his, leading the two of them into the diner. Santana calls out instantly embarrassing me, for the whole restaurant to hear.
"Well, look who finally decided to stop groping each other long enough to join us!!"
