18 and Life

Sebastian's sigh of contentment says it all.  He opened the bottle almost as soon as I handed it to him and poured the small shot or so of Courvoisier into his macchiato. "Princess, you spoil me so.... It feels like winter in Paris instead of stupid Ohio. I love my first two presents. So what next Shann??" I smile and stop him right near the front entrance of the school, moving to a secluded corner so it's harder for other people to hear us.

"Okay Bastian....  You have three options and I'll let you pick.  Kay?"  He nods down at me and smiling as he pushes my hair behind my shoulder.  I take a deep breath and begin.  "Okay, option one:  I grab my bag from the car and we return to your room where I proceed to screw your brains out all weekend."  His eyes light up and he starts to pull me closer, "Mmmmmm....  I really like that idea...."  I hold up my hand to push him back slightly, so I can stop him.  "Well Bas, that idea has some draw backs.  You know, interruptions from your friends and classmates."  His face falls as he pouts and shakes his head.  "Sebby doesn't share.... Pass, what's the second option?"

I giggle as I proceed, "Okay option two: same type of set up. You return to your room, pack a bag and we go to my house in Lima. More room..." His eyes light up again as his wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him, "I love that idea...." I nod up at him as he comes closer to kiss me but then I whisper back, "But.... Aunt Pam isn't working and Blaine may be around." He stops right before reaching my lips with a dissatisfied groan, "Princess, you're such a tease!! I'm guessing option three is what you really want."

I smile innocently up at him, "Your birthday your choice Sebby, I just want you to be well informed. So option three??"  He sighs and kisses my forehead before he pulls back slightly.  "Okay option three, which is?"  I giggle and pull him out of the corner, heading for the door.  "Option three:  you trust me, get into my car and don't question."  He raises an eyebrow at me but allows me to drag him outside, "Love, I'm endlessly intrigued by all of this..."

He allows me to take him to my car, getting in but still raising my eyebrow in confusion. I don't say a word as I pull out of the parking spot, only placing my radio on low.  In no time we've pulled up in front of a grocery store. I open my door to exit the car and Sebastian is out by my side in an instant. He grabs my hand as we walk into the store but can't hide the confusion on his face. "Princess??" I look to him as I grab a basket for the few items I wanted. He quickly takes it away from me and carries it in his free hand. "Trust Bas. Just go with it."

I lead him to the baking aisle, stopping in front of the cake mixes and frostings. "First decision my dear birthday boy. Pick one of each." I point to the mixes and frostings and his face screws up in concentration before he places triple chocolate cake mix and vanilla frosting mixed with funfetti sprinkles in the basket.  I raise my eyebrow at him, "Really Sebastian?"  He's still confused when he looks back at me, "What?  You said to pick."  I point to his frosting choice, "Sprinkles in your frosting.  And you're turning 18?" He shrugs mumbling more to himself than anything I like sprinkles.

Giggling I pull him towards the ice cream, once again standing in front of the freezer doors, "Choose." Sebastian starts laughing so hard at that, "Okay Princess, someone has been reading too much of the Divergent series." I give him a look, tapping my foot impatiently, "Come on Sebby, we still have someplace else today. Please just pick your ice cream." He leans over to kiss my forehead and then quickly grabs a carton of chocolate, caramel, peanut butter cup ice cream. I'm instantly confused now, "Bas, don't you usually get vanilla when we go for ice cream?" He smirks at me, pulling me close with his free hand and whispers seductively in my ear, "That's just because I'm always picturing what you're going to do with the ice cream, with your tongue. My brain kinda stops working so I pick something easy."

I'm blushing so hard right now that I just move on autopilot to grab a bottle of chocolate sauce and whipped cream.  I contemplate one more option, turning to Sebastian.  "Cherries?" He chuckles as he pulls me close again, wrapping his free arm around my waist, "Well I already had yours..." My hands fly up to my face to hide my embarrassment and flaming red cheeks. "Sebastian?! I meant for sundaes!"  He instantly sets the basket down and reaches out with both hands to pull my own away from my face, running his fingers comfortingly across my cheeks.  He places soft kisses on each of my cheeks and then steps back to pick the basket back up.  "I'm sorry Pretty Girl.  I didn't mean to embarrass you. Yes, I'm okay with cherries on sundaes." He places a small jar of them in the basket and grabs my hand again.

My mind momentarily flickers to a conversation I had with Hunter at the diner that first time.  "Geeze, Anderson. Perverted much? I meant the cherry on my milkshake. They always add one on top regardless if you want it and I don't particularly like them." But I quickly shake it off and refocus back on Sebastian.

I lead him to the check out counter and I quickly pay for the few supplies, heading back to my car. Sebastian looks at me curiously once we are situated back inside and I'm getting ready to pull out of the parking spot. "Princess? I know you said not to question. But you obviously just bought things that are highly perishable. So where are we going?"  I look at him briefly, giving a sly smile, "You'll see soon."

Not even five minutes later we're pulling up to a house.  A rather large house.  With a circular drive, completely devoid of any other cars.  For the first time I've been here...

"Love, why are we at my house??"

I giggle as I get out of the car, grabbing my small overnight bag in the process. Sebastian follows after me, taking the bag from the store out of the car for me.  "Well Bastian, I thought we needed someplace private.  Someplace where there would be no one else around.  And your mother told me your parents were going skiing this weekend.   Asked if I could take care of her 'baby boy' and make sure he had a good birthday.  She loves you and misses you by the way." He smiles to himself as he follows me on to the porch, taking the hint and pulling his house keys out to let us in.

"And how often you talk to my mother, Princess?" I giggle as I enter the house, dropping my bag in the front hallway and grabbing the grocery bag out of his hands. He follows me as I take the bag into the kitchen and begin putting away the things that need to stay cold.  "Most likely more often than I should but she adores me, maybe even more than you do. I mean I tamed her 'bad boy of a son'." I'm closing the freezer door as I feel his arms slip around my waist. His breath is warm on my neck as he whispers in my ear, "Pretty Girl, I'm not sure it is possible for someone to love you more than I do. But what can I say, I suppose I get my good taste from my mother."

I turn around in his arms and he lifts me to sit on the counter, moving to stand between my legs in front of me.  His hands rest comfortably on my hips and I bring my own to his chest as I look up at him.  My sweet, talented, intelligent, incredibly handsome fiancé.  "So Bas, last day as a 17 year old.  You got a pre-birthday gift with your coffee, I plan on making you cupcakes tomorrow with that ice cream as well.  Maybe the whipped cream and chocolate sauce but I definitely had other plans for that.  You have me, all weekend, in this big empty house.  With no distractions or interruptions."  He smirks down at me with dark emerald eyes as I move a hand to undo the button on his blazer, "So tell me birthday boy, what do YOU want to do??"

He grabs the hem of my shirt and quickly lifts it over my head, whipping it across the room behind him. Shrugging out of his blazer he lets it fall to the floor as he lifts me off the counter and cradles me in his arms. "My birthday, my rules right?" I nod at him as I wrap my arms around his neck to keep from slipping. "Then I say, hot tub. Now. And the rest of the weekend is purely clothing optional." I can barely contain a squeal as he rushes us out of the kitchen, towards the hot tub.

Let the birthday festivities commence.
