"Addy you have to propose her! You cannot forget your promise!"

"Kehara shut up and move on."

Addy called Kehara to ask if she can bring her assignment so that he could get some idea of how to do it. Well what he actually  meant was so that he could to copy her assignment.It is a tradition they follow since school days. Kehara works on the assignment and project,Collects all the data,Decides how and what to write and they copy. It is not that they don't help at all but the major part is always done by her.  Kehara never had a problem with that. She thinks what are friends for if they don't help you when you need them. Addy and Amy are the emotional supporters and Kehara is the knowledge supporter. A perfect pack of three. 

Now Kehara is asking Addy to propose Amy but he is refusing. Again. Kehara is still at Aman's house and is now leaving for university. From there she will return her home. Kehara is in Noor's room getting ready for university.She collecting her things from everywhere. She don't even know how her things are everywhere in the room except her bag.But then she remembered She was sharing the Noor with Noor the mess creator. Aman is dropping her to the university. Noor had some work so she left for university early. Aman came in the room without knocking to call her so that they can leave.  

"You better propose her before I kill you!"

Aman widened his eyes. Kehara sounds angry to his surprise.She was Ok few minutes ago when they were having their breakfast. Kehara saw Aman standing in the room and she stopped walking.

"I will call you later.Yeah I will bring the assignment."She disconnected the call and sat on the bed looking down.

"No salam with a smile?"

She looked up and said "Salam."

Aman started to walk towards the bed and said "No smile?"

"No smile."

Aman sat on the bed.

"What happened?"

"Nothing."

"Ok if you don't want to share that fine.Just smile."

Kehara chuckled and said "You know when I girls says nothing happened,That means she wants you to ask what happened again and again and make her feel that you care about her."

"Really?"

She started him for a second and said "Naah. I'm just habitual to refuse to share things or say no.No is my favourite word.But that does not mean I don't want to share.You just have to ask again and again and again and again and few more times."

Aman chuckled and said "Ok. What happened?"

"As this is your first time I will tell you. Next time it won't be so easy.So when you proposed and I was confused should I say yes or no that time everyone around me were trying their best to convince me to say yes.So Addy's way to do that was a deal. If I accept your proposal he will propose Amy in a weeks time. And now it's over two weeks and he has still not proposed her.He is so irritating!"

Aman raised his eyebrows and chuckled "Wow.I need to thanks him then"

"Oh you definitely should.He is actually the one who made me say a yes. He made me realise things and I said yes."

"What things?"He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Things that has nothing to do with you.So just forget it and concentrate on this issue.He is not ready to propose."

"But why?"

"Amy's father is very rich and Addy belongs to a normal middle class family.He thinks he will not earn enough for her."

"That's ridiculous! He is studying in a well reputed university and InshaAllah he will find a job with good salary."

"I told him. I know Amy don't want to work and he has to provide for her every need but still come on. If she says yes she will be knowing about that. And no one can love her more than him.I know she might have to adjust and compromise a lot but she will be happy. Addy makes her happy." They sat quietly for some time before Kehara said "You know when I told him that what he said?"

"What?"

"He said you have a rich husband it is easy for you to say."

Aman raised his eyebrows a little and said "He should have not said that."

"That's not a problem.Our friendship is so strong that we can share whatever is in our heart. Because we know the other one will not judge us or get upset."

"That good."

"I know."

"What about Amy?She loves Addy?"

Kehara smiled.

"Amy?She definitely loves him but she has never admitted it.But we all know she loves him.He actions speaks loudly.But I guess even she is afraid of her family's reactiom.She loves her family so much.She can never hurt them."

"Then what about her family?"

Kehara chuckled again.

"As I told you her actions speaks loudly.She is someone who shares everything with her family.So they know when she fights with Addy and it's reason.Only a fool will not understand what she feels. And I'm quite sure no one in her family is a fool.So if they had any problem they would have never allowed her to come here. Her father was really poor earlier. It is his hard work that made him this rich.He knows what Addy is going through and I'm sure he will support him. And her mother is a sweetheart."

"Then what's the problem?"

"Addy's brain."

Aman smiled. 

"So now what are you going to do?"

"I don't know. Maybe blackmail him."

"Ok. Now let's go or else we both will be late."

 "Ok."

Aman and Kehara are in Aman's car.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes!"

"More than a month?'

"Yup."

"Why?"

""What why?My exams are on their way Aman. I cannot risk talking to you. These two days are anyways going to be stuck in my brain for Allah knows how many days. I need to concentrate. So to talking."

"It was just one day."

"And it still harms."

Aman rolled his eyes and said "You have a very bad concentration."

"I know!"

silence consumed them. Aman is upset that Kehara wants him not to message till her exams so she could concentrate.But he is helpless. He has  no choice but to follow the orders of his wife and Dadajaan.

"Not even on Saturdays?"

"No. Aman just for few weeks.This will affect my life a lot. Please try to understand."

"Ok."

"That's like my husband. Now smile."

"I don't like to smile." Aman said and parked the car. They have reached the university.

"But you like me."

"No."

"No?"Kehara said making a crying face. 

"No!"

"But you like this." Kehara moved near him and kissed his cheek and then ran out of the car shouting her AllahHafiz. Aman smiled instantly. Once she was at a safe distance she turned around and waved him. He smiled and left.

Dadajaan came to Kehara's house to wish her luck for her exams. Her exams starts in a week.Aman kept his promise.Its been almost a month they last talked.To kehara's surprise she is missing him.She never thought those few meetings will affect her so much. She actually wants Aman to call or at least message her for her exams. She is actually kind of sure about it. He will message.

"So Kehara all preparations done?"

"Alhumdulillah Dadajaan everything is done."

"Good good."

"How are you and everyone else?"

"Alhumdulillah all are fine.except one."

"Who?"

"Your romeo."

Kehara blushed hearing that. 

"Work hard and make us proud."

"InshaAllah I will try my best."

Dadajaan smiled and Kehara smiled back. 

"Hey I have not seen the pics of Nikha you have."

"Oh wait a sec I will show you." Kehara unlocked her phone.

After giving her phone to Dadajaan she excused herself to get a cup of Tea for Dadajaan.Dadajaan is smiling but suddenly one notification caused it to drop. Aman messaged Kehara.He opened the chat and saw this as was not the first time he messaged.At the same time Kehara came in with the tea.

"Dadajaan your tea." Kehara extended her hand with a cup of tea towards him. 

Dadajaan looked up at her.She understood something is wrong.

"What's wrong Dadajaan?"

"Aman messaged you."

Kehara gasped and was unable to answer for some time. "Dadajaan he don't regularly message me. The last time we talked was a month back.I promise." She looked down immediately after saying that.

Dadajaan did not say anything for few seconds before smiling. "Don't worry Kid it's ok."

Kehara instantly looked up.When she saw his smile she smiled back. 

"Really?"

"Yeah. What do you think I had no idea about this? You know even I was young and in love once upon a time." 

Kehara laugh and Dadajaan joined her. 

"Thank you dadajaan."

"You're welcome.By the way the tea is nice."

Dadajaan stayed for some more time and then decided to leave.They at her door now. 

"Ok Kehara take care and concerntrate on your studies. Don't waste your time messaging Aman. AllahHafiz."

"AllahHafiz Dadajaan."

After he left Kehara came inside the house and closed the door. She went to the living room to Search her phone to message Aman. When she unlocked her phone she saw three missed calls from Aman. She smiled and called him.

After messaging Kehara, Aman entered the conference room. This is a very important meeting. If they get this deal they will earn huge profit. But things did not go according to their plan. The opposite party said they are not impressed with the presentation and Some other firm is offering more returns. Aman is disappointed. He is Did not expect that.They worked so hard for this deal. All three of them gave their best. They still have a chance.It's break and If they do something now they can still get a deal.Alhumdulillah they had a Plan B ready. Although they are not sure about it but they still have a chance. Aman thought of checking his phone to see if Kehara has reply. He thought this will change his mood. He opened the chat and saw Kehara had seen the message but there was no reply. Aman is not in the best state of mind and This made him more angry. He decided to call her. But she did not answer.He called two more time but still there was no reply. He cannot help but think about what Afzal had said. Maybe Kehara was forced. Maybe she don't love him. Or maybe she is still not over Noman. This is not the first time he is thinking about it. Even when she asked him not to message till her exams  he thought about that. In this one month this question has arrived a lot of time in her mind and today he just lost it.It has more to do with the deal and less with Kehara but still he is angry. Just Before going back in the conference room Kehara called him.He picked up and call and not letting her speak he busted out.

"Tell me one thing you don't really like me right?"

"What?"

"Kehara just answer."

"Aman what is wrong with you?"

"Everything!I'm a fool.Running behind someone who is not interested in me."

"Aman what happened?Why are you talking like that?"

"You answer my question.You don't like me right?"

"Aman listen..."

"Let me finish! You were forced right?You don't really like me. That's why you are always avoiding me. That's why you asked me not to message you right?I'm not important right? Kehara tell me one thing are you still not over your cousin.If that is the thing then...."

"ENOUGH!"  Kehara could not take it anymore and shouted. "Enough of your nonsense Mr. Aman Khan. You what to know why I accepted you proposal right?Then here you go.I accepted your proposal because I liked you.You are the only one who I was always talking about.There is no other guy besides you who were always in my mind.Not even my cousin ,Aman. He always gave me tension Since we were kids so I always avoided talking or even thinking about him. Ask my friends they will tell you what I think about you. You are the most important person in my life. You know why I want to score good? For you! You have graduated from a very big university and I don't want people to think Aman has a dumb wife.I want to make you proud. I want to be worth you. You Mr Khan you. You are always in my mind my mind.You My dear Husband .You! You have hurt me a lot."

Aman understood his mistake and is now feeling guilty to take out his anger on her. He covered his face with his right hand and is mentally cursing himself.

"Kehara.."

"No! Don't say anything.I don't want to talk to you. Don't message or call me. Aman please let me study now. I don't want to talk or see you before my exams end now. Please don't message or call. AllahHafiz."

Before he could say anything she disconnected the call. Aman was so disappointed that he did not say a word in the meeting. They ended up losing the deal. Aman was never this disappointed by himself. He don't know how he will convince Kehara to forgive him.But he has to do something. But he decided to wait till her exams end.
