We never realise how important a thing or a person is until we lose them or is about to lose them. We never Appreciate them. We don't think them as a blessing. But the time we are about to lose them we are ready to do everything in our control to keep them. But the question is do we have enough time to fix everything. What if that person don't want to stay in your life any more. What if you are unable to stop them. But most importantly what if Allah has written your journey with them for this long only and wants to take them from you.

Therefore it is very important to value each and every person in your life. But we should realise their value on time.

Now as Mr Khan is waiting for doctor to come and tell if his wife is alive or not he is regretting each and everything he did that hurt her. It is now that he realise what he did was wrong. All he could think now is he should have valued her. He should have loved her. He should have kept her happy. He will do everything for her now. He will keep her happy. Will do everything she loves. He Will respect and love her. All he is asking for is a one last chance. He will prove her, he is the best husband in the world. But the question is will he get that one chance?

"Dad why is it taking so long?" Noor asked. It is 3am in the morning and the operation is still going on. No one has left the hospital.

"Dad." Noor called when he did not reply.

"Dad" Aman called his dad in concern but still no reply. This time Noor gave his shoulder a little push to grab his attention and said a bit loudly.

"DAD!"

Instead of replying he stood up and said

"I don't want to talk to anyone Noor." And left.

Noor and Aman looked at each other.

"I think someone should go and talk to the doctor." Sufyaan said.

"Yeah you are right. I will go. You kids need anything?" Khurshid asked standing up and everyone said no.

"Okay then I will be back soon." Saying that he left.

"Bhai why is it talking so long?" Noor asked Aman with tears in her eyes. Aman who was sitting next to her gave her a side hug and said

"I don't know Noor. Don't worry InshaAllah everything will be fine."

Aman saw kehara looking at him with tears in her eyes. He smiled. Well he just moved his lips because that was all he could do now. Kehara smiled back and looked away.

Kehara is scared. She is scared that Aman and Noor might also lose their mother. She always felt bad for people who lost their mother or any one they love And then she experienced it herself. She don't want anyone else to feel how she did. She don't want anyone to suffer like she did. And most of all she don't want to lose someone who she thought was like her mother. For kehara Mrs khan is like her mother. Someone who makes her feel safe like her mother did. She don't want to lose anyone now. She is continuously praying.

All of a sudden kehara got up and left the waiting room.

She is walking in the hospital aimlessly. After some fifteen minutes she stopped at a window. She is looking at stars. Watching star always made kehara feel better. She loves stars. She was quietly watching stars when someone said.

"Are you fine?"

Kehara turned around to find Aman standing there. she resumed watching stars. Aman came near the window and is now standing on one end of the window and Kehara is standing on the other end.

"what will happen to me." kehara said still looking at stars. Aman also started staring the stars before saying.

"You look sad and hurt and scared and..." before Aman could continue kehara chuckled and Aman looked at her in confusion

"What?"

"Nothing."

Aman raised his eyebrow.

"Nothing. continue your and."

"Whatever. What was I saying? Yes how are you?"

"I'm fine. How are you?"

"I'm fine as well."

Kehara is watching stars quietly. They were quiet for some time before kehara said.

" InshaAllah everything will be fine. She is a fighter. She won't leave us InshaAllah."

"InshaAllah. I'm losing hope now. I can't image my life without her. She is going to be fine right?"

Aman turned to look Kehara who is already looking towards him. kehara nodded and said.

"Yes Aman. Don't lose hope. Trust Allah."

"I'm trying my best."

Suddenly Noor came running to them and said

"Bhai! Doctor is calling you and dad.come fast!"

They all rushed to the waiting room. After few seconds they reached there. As soon as they reached there Mr khan came running as well. They saw doctor talking to others. Mr khan started walking faster.

"Doctor what's wrong? How is she now? Do you need anything? Don't worry about money. I'm ready to pay any amount. Doctor say something!"

"Mr khan calm down." Doctor tried to clam Mr khan.

"Doctor please tell us what's wrong?" Aman asked.

Doctor looked at Sufyaan and Khurshid. Sufyaan smiled a bit.

"Okay now stop looking at each other and tell us what's going on." Kehara shouted.

"There is nothing to worry. She is fine." Doctor said. Aman looked at Sufyaan and they both hugged each other.

"Alhumdulillah." Kehara and Aman said together.

"Can we meet her now?" Mr khan asked who is crying now.

"No. You have to wait till she is shifted to her room. And she is unconscious now." Doctor said.

"Thank you so much doctor. Thank you so much." Mr khan said.

"Don't thank me. It was my duty. Mr khan you actually need to sign few papers can you come with me?"

"Yeah sure." Doctor and Mr khan left the room.

"Kehara! Mom is fine!" Noor screamed before hugging her and kehara laughed.

"Alhumdulillah." Kehara said.

Mr khan is watching Mrs khan sleep peacefully. He is dying to talk to her. He wants to say so many things to her that he thinks a whole week is less for him to say it all. Suddenly Mrs khan moved. Mr khan came near her bed waiting for her to open her eyes. after few minutes she slowly started to open her eyes. when she saw him she smiled. He smiled widely.

"Assalamu alaikum sweetheart." Mr khan said. Mrs khan was shocked to hear that. A tear left her right eye.

"Walekum Assalam. What happened?"

"You remember getting hit by a car?"

"Yes."

"So you are in the hospital since then. I mean since yesterday afternoon."

"Oh. How is noor?"

"She is fine."

"How long I have to stay here?"

"Just few more days."

They were quiet for a while before Mrs khan said.

"What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with me!? I think I'm finally on a right track now! Hey listen I have to say you few things. If you are not feeling tired can I?"

"Go ahead."

"I'm sorry."

Mrs khan gave him a confused look.

"Sorry?"

"Yeah I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything. Sorry Mehrunisa. You deserve all the happiness of the world. I'm sorry for being such a bad husband. I have hurt you so much. I'm..."

"Enough! What's wrong? Calm down. Did Aman say you anything?"

"No. Your accident made me realise what a horrible husband I am. I never thought I would say this but I....I...I.."

"I what?"

"I love you Mehrunisa! I love you more than anything in this world. I never realised before, how much I need you. How important you are to me. I'm sorry Mehru I'm sorry.Why are you crying? Hey please don't cry."

It took Mrs khan few minutes to say something.

"You are sweet. I never knew that before." She said smiling making her husband laugh.

"Thank you."

"Now thank you for what?"

"For everything."

"You need some sleep. Go home."

" I'm not going anywhere without you."

"But your health is important. Go!"

"No!"

"Go!"

"No!"

"Go!"

"No!"

"Noor I never knew our parents are so childish. Did you know that?" Aman said coming in the room.

"No bhai. I thought we have mature parents."

"Get lost both of you. How dare you tease your parents!" Mr khan said and everyone laughed.

"You both can do anything and we can't even make joke of it!" Noor said.

"Shut up kids!"

"Dad at least don't behave like this in front of others. Kehara is here with us." Noor turned to her left where kehara was standing to find no one there.

"Where did she go?" Aman asked.

"I don't know. I will ask her later. But Now let's celebrate!!!!"
