Rampage

Robin stayed knocked out the entire trip back to the mountain which they were all glad for. They weren't looking forward to possibly having to fight the strange Symbiote living in him, though they weren't looking forward to when Batman found out either. When they got back Phantom carried him out of the bio-ship, Robin groaned a little and many of them tensed.

Phantom set him down gently and helped him stand, "Are you okay?"

Robin was holding his head and he seemed a bit out of it, "Everything hurts, what happened?"

"That is complicated."

They then heard a crackling on the intercoms, "Team, report to the mission room, now."

Many of them looked nervous, Phantom just supported Robin and headed there despite not wanting to deal with Batman. He had enough to worry about without Batman getting mad or doing some stupid bullshit. The team followed them and when they got there Batman was talking to Black Canary and Red Tornado.

They looked at them when they came in and Robin was holding onto his boyfriend a bit tighter than he needed to. Batman didn't look happy; he clearly knew something had happened and he was not pleased about it. "I saw what happened on the cameras."

Phantom was clearly annoyed, "No shit Sherlock."

Batman looked even more pissed, "Why did no one tell me about this?"

Robin couldn't look at him, "They didn't know, I didn't even know, I didn't know what he is."

Black Canary clearly didn't believe him, "How could you not know?"

Phantom spoke before Robin could, "You have no idea what it's like to have a Symbiote so you don't get to say shit about it."

She glared at him a little, "How could you not know?"

"It's not like we know when someone has a Symbiote, they hide in hosts from enemies as much as their own kind."

Batman looked at Robin, "When did this happen?"

Robin looked nervous, "There was a burning building, and a guy I was trying to save attacked me. I had this weird feeling and then weird things started happening, it kind of freaked me out."

'Kind of? You kept trying to run away from me and ran away from home because of my irritation.'

Robin glared at nothing, "Because I didn't know what was going on, and why didn't you tell me you were a Symbiote that would have been really helpful when I thought I was losing my mind."

'I did not know that's what I was called.'

"How could you not know?"

Batman interrupted, "High frequencies seem to affect Symbiotes, we may be able to separate you two using them."

Phantom stepped in front of Robin, "Do that and you could kill them both."

Red Tornado tilted his head slightly in curiosity, "How so?"

"Any frequencies strong enough to separate them are also strong enough to kill both the Symbiote and the host. Any way you try to forcibly separate them could kill both of them, so if you try it we will fight you and we will win."

Batman glared at him, "You don't get a say in any of this."

"I'm dating him and that Symbiote is a member of Toxin's species we're not going to let you do something stupid because you think you know better than us. But this isn't up to you, or me, or anyone else but those two, they are the only ones that get a say, at least see what Robin wants before making that call for him."

Batman was silent, Robin hugged Phantom and he hugged the hero back, Robin was shaking a little and he couldn't blame him. Phantom let him go and looked him in the eye, "Can we talk to him?"

Robin looked unsure, "I don't want him to hurt you."

"We'll be okay, we've got this, just trust us."

Robin nodded before taking a deep breath, "Just please don't hurt them."

The Symbiote took over and growled, "Not likely."

The others got ready to fight but Toxin took over and put his hand out to stop them, "You are very young."

The Symbiote growled, "Who cares?"

"Even newborns know how to connect to the hives mind, you haven't, you don't know how."

Everyone looked shocked by the new information and he growled again, "What the fuck are you talking about?"

"Symbiotes have a hive mind, our collective memories go as far back as our creation and you know none of that."

"What's your point?"

"My point is that you weren't born naturally."

Kid Flash immediately spoke, "Woah, none of us need to hear the birds and the bees talk."

"Symbiotes are asexual we do not need partners and someone clearly took him from one of my kind." Kid Flash looked away and Toxin turned back to the Symbiote, "Do you know anything about who you came from?"

He glared at him, "Why the hell would I?"

Toxin sighed, "I assume you were born in a lab, you were a test subject, and they hurt you."

The Symbiote screeched and attacked him, Toxin hit the floor but he quickly kicked him off and he growled at him. The Symbiote growled back, "You don't know a damn thing about what happened."

"And you don't know what I've been through so you wouldn't know if I do or not." The Symbiote looked like he was about to attack him again, "But we can understand each other if you let me in. You are a child, and you know nothing of where you come from, I doubt you even have a name. You are angry, but whatever happened I can show you what you are missing, what they are trying to take from you."

The Symbiote paused for a few seconds, "How?"

"You can feel it, some part of you is trying to reach out and you're resisting because you are afraid. Stop running, let it happen, but do not let your host see any of it, he can see nothing of what the hive mind holds."

"Why? Because you don't trust them either."

"Because it will drive him insane, and if that happens it will drive you insane. Hosts are very important and can have a great effect on us and that is especially true for our mental states. You may have a hard time processing, but you will be okay, I will show you at a rate you will be able to handle."

The Symbiote clearly didn't trust him but he still nodded, within a few seconds he was holding his head. He was struggling, then he fell to his knees and screeched, he looked like he was in pain and Batman tried to get closer but Toxin stopped him. It took a minute before whatever was happening seemed to stop and the Symbiote was breathing hard.

Toxin walked over and held out his hand to him, he looked up at him before slowly taking it. Toxin pulled him up and the Symbiote looked much less aggressive now, "What was all of that?"

"How we were made, our history, where we are from, everything."

"But I saw very little of you in that."

"I will tell you as needed, you've been through more than enough tonight, but you need a name."

Superboy spoke, "A name? This thing has been terrorizing Robin and you want to give it a name?"

Toxin growled at him, "He would have died, and he is young the only other host he has ever had was clearly not a good one. He is a living breathing creature and one of my species, I will not let you speak about something you have neither experienced nor know about."

He paused before looking away, he was clearly mad but he couldn't argue since he was right. Toxin turned back to the Symbiote and stared at him for a few seconds, "Rampage."

They all looked at him like he was insane, all except the Symbiote who seemed slightly confused, "Rampage?"

"Our kind typically have menacing names, I know a Symbiote whose name consists of Zs and Xs, in that order, and there are multiple. Rampage is a better option in my opinion, and that's the first thing you did when you came out before."

Rampage clearly wasn't impressed, "You're clearly not very creative."

"Is there another name you want to go by?" Rampage paused, he didn't say anything for several seconds, "That's what I thought, now you two need to go home and rest so I would like you to let your host have control again."

Rampage glared at him, "Fine."

He let Robin take control whose legs immediately gave out and Phantom took over and caught him. Robin put a hand to his head, "Whatever he saw was not fun."

"Trust me I know better than you how true that is, now you should go home and sleep, and eat a lot of chocolate. You're body still isn't used to him, eat lots of chocolate, and he will find out what foods he likes really quick so keep that stuff on hand, all the time."

Robin looked a little amused, "What does Toxin like?"

"Chocolate, chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, basically everything chocolate, and specifically dinosaur chicken nuggets."

Robin laughed due to his shock, "Seriously?"

"Yes, he will only eat the heads off them and then will pile the bodies up and put ketchup on them and act like he just killed a bunch of dinosaurs."

Toxin growled, 'I will hurt you.'

Robin laughed so hard his sides hurt, "I'm sorry I wasn't expecting that."

"Neither was I but it's good to know the guy isn't always serious and terrifying, sometimes he's like a kid eating dinosaur nuggets."

He helped Robin up and the hero was finally smiling again, "Thanks, for literally everything today."

"Just tell me if something like this happens again, I was worried as hell, now I need to go I have a hungry Symbiote to feed." He kissed Robin's cheek and started walking out, "And you're meeting us here tomorrow that Symbiote of yours needs some help."

He left and Robin smiled fondly after him, "I'm going home, eating, and sleeping."

He left before anyone could stop him and he did exactly what he said he would, as he laid down to sleep he smiled. He had been worried at first but this might turn out to be a good thing.
