*Adithya Pov*

"What is happening here?" I asked Rajeev getting down from my bike.

"I don't know but some two cars got hit by each other. Even though no one is hurt a guy in one car has lost his temper towards the girl in another car." He explained.

"I will go and see to it, but first you go and search where is that traffic police who is supposed to take care of this situation." I said, and he nodded walking away.

I walked towards the crowd and reached near the cars with the crowd parting themselves seeing me.

Then I heard the man cursing the girl. How can he do that? I thought and walked towards the man.

"No matter whose mistake it is you can't curse a girl like that." I said and he immediately looked at me.

"But see what she did, sir. She was coming with over speed, which is a wrong thing." He said and then I saw that his car is little damaged.

"Excuse me, miss?" I called as she is with her back towards us calling someone.

She turned and looked straight at me shocked with tears in her eyes. She walked towards me and slowly said, "Adithya!"

I am completely shocked seeing her here like this. I looked around and calmly said, "First move both of your vehicles to the side so that the traffic can be removed."

They both nodded and did as I asked them to. At the same time, the traffic police reached us. I gave him instructions and a warning for forgetting his duty.

"So both of you can start saying what happened after one another." I said turning towards them.

When they finished explaining, Rajeev walked towards me after watching footage from a cctv camera installed in the signal.

"Parul!" he mumbled when he saw who the lady is.

"So whose mistake is this?" I asked him.

"It is not mine, Adithya. Don't you believe me?" she asked, but I ignored her.

"It is hers." Rajeev said.

"You can make a complaint on her to us, or you can ask for compensation which I think is a better option." I said looking at the guy.

"I want compensation. I don't have time to lodge a case and run around it." He said looking at his watch.

"Madam! Pay the amount he wants so that you can escape the need to go to jail, and you will be given a slip for not following traffic rules." I said and started walking towards my bike along with Rajeev as we are getting late.

We explained the solution to the new traffic police who reached, and he said he will take care of it.

"Adithya!" I heard her calling me.

"Yes?" I asked, turning around.

"I have half of the money. My parents are out-of-town. Can you lend me some please?" she asked and I can see the tears in her eyes.

"Don't, Adithya." Rajeev mumbled.

I closed my eyes and decided to give her as it is bad for her to stay like this on the road with everyone looking at her as a culprit.

"Here!" I said, giving her and she suddenly hugged me.

"Thank you so much. I actually wanted to talk to you, but I never thought I would meet you like this before that." she said, and I pushed her away.

"Don't forget that I am an officer, and I am on duty. And we are standing on the road and especially as you can't hug a married man like that." I said and walked away along with Rajeev fisting my hand.

"Don't fall for her again, Adithya." Rajeev warned.

"First love can never be forgotten, but I am not a fool." I said and drove away.

In the evening, I reached the house little late as there was so much work. I have already called Janice in the evening that I can't pick her up, and she was completely fine with it.

I greeted Mom and Dad who are looking happier than every day. I didn't stay back and asked them because I have an important task to do.

I need to tell her everything right now without delaying. However, when I walked into our room, she immediately hugged me making me stumble a little.

A smile definitely appeared on my face while hugging her back, which I missed from morning to appear.

"Guess what?" she asked, grinning leaving my hug.

"You have passed in the IPS exam?" I asked her grinning and she immediately slapped my shoulder scowling at me.

"No! I passed in another exam." She replied again grinning.

"What exam?" I asked removing the gun and belt.

"Your Mom's exam. I cooked food for all of us today." she replied and jumped a little with excitement.

"Really? She actually allowed you." I asked her shocked.

"Yes! When I returned home, Uncle and Aunty just started talking to me more than normal. I was surprised, but I felt happy and then Aunty suddenly said I didn't do the ritual what every bride does, you know cooking for the first time in the in-law's house." She started explaining.

"But you cook food for us one day." I said stopping her.

"I just made Roti's which only we both ate, and the curry was made by Aunty. Now don't disturb me and let me continue." she said and I nodded, placing a finger on my lip.

"Then I said I wish I can do that ritual, and she said 'Ok! Do it now'. I was like seriously, and she smiled and said 'Yes!' but I did one stupid thing." She frowned at the end.

"What?" I asked her.

"I immediately hugged both Uncle and Aunty with excitement." she said biting her lower lip.

I removed it from under her teeth and rubbed it saying, "They are very glad when I walked inside. So don't worry because I think they really accepted you completely."

She didn't say anything and just stared at me while I continued to rub her lower lip. She suddenly gulped making my fingers move towards her cheek and caress it.

We both leaned towards each other and shared a very lingering kiss making me want not to leave her at her from this embrace.

When I released her, she calmly said, "Freshen up! They must be waiting for us to have dinner."

"Ok!" I mumbled and walked towards the wardrobe while she walked outside.

I got ready and went downstairs to see three of them talking making me smile a lot. This is what I wanted from the first day, and she finally has my parent's acceptance.

Nevertheless, I am not at all trying to get her parents to accept me. I should do that soon so she will not do anything about that matter too.

"Adithya! Food really smells good so walk fast otherwise I won't be able to stop myself from starting." Dad said looking at my slow walking making me chuckle.

Like he said food really smells delicious, and we all started having the food. It tasted even better than the smell.

"There is even dessert, so don't forget to leave some space for it." Mom said looking at the Dad.

"I will surely." He said smiling.

After dinner and also after their praising regarding her food, we both walked into our room with her having a goofy smile on her face.

"You are really happy." I said, lying on the bed.

"Don't ask me how happy I am. I never thought they would accept me so soon." she said, placing her head on my chest.

"Soon? After this month, it will be six months since we got married." I said smiling.

"But still it is soon for me. I am really happy." she said and hugged me even tighter.

"I am also happy." I said, hugging her back.

"I need to tell you something." I said, remembering that I have to tell her about Parul.

"Hmm." She mumbled.

"I actually met someone today..." I started saying, but I saw that she is already sleeping.

Must be really tired with everything she did today. I really want to tell her, but now she is very pleased.

I can't spoil her happiness with this news, which is nothing. We all live in the same city so it is bound to meet each other at any time under circumstances.

It is not such big thing, so I think it is better not to speak about it and spoil our mood. I sighed and drifted off into sleep after placing a small kiss on her forehead.
