It was around one in the afternoon when everyone piled up on Viessa's bed. Viessa could tell everyone was tired from whatever they did yesterday but she still wanted to have a meeting to discuss things. There was a lot to discuss about these days.

"So, what did you all do?" Kaylessa immediately asked, leaping to Rosestone a bit later than everyone else. She was petting a small murcat in her arms, who purred happily.

"Yesterday Viessa said something about you finding your mom's jewelry in the death scenes. What's that all about?" Raverie asked Kaylessa, ignoring the murcat Kaylessa had brought with her.

"Just jewelry," Kaylessa replied.

"Where did you get that Murcat?" Viessa and Ashryn asked in unison.

"Atlantis," Kaylessa said briefly.

Ashryn immediately jumped up from where she was sitting and raced over to pet the murcat. "Did you name it yet?" she asked.

"Yeah," Kaylessa said, passing her pet over to Ashryn. "Aqua."

"Awwww, such a cute name," Ashryn cooed. Kaylessa smiled slightly.

"I love it," Viessa told Kaylessa. Viessa was very happy for her best friend. She knew Kaylessa wanted one since they were toddlers.

"Well, I want to whack that murcat," Keryn told them.

"He's such a mean brute. If he touches you, scratch his face off," Kaylessa whisper-hissed to Aqua. She hissed back in reply. Keryn glared at the murcat and Kieran rolled his eyes.

"I don't really care about your opinion, prick. My dad loves her," Kaylesssa said, turning to face Keryn.

"Dad?" Aymon asked curiously. His curiousness was taking over.

"Yes, I have a dad," Kaylessa said.

"I didn't mean it like that." Aymon said, his voice showed that he was sorry.

"Then what did you mean?" Kaylessa asked genuinely.

"I just thought you were investigating with Keryn and Esarae instead of going to Atlantis." Aymon told her, shrugging.

Kaylessa glared at him with fire in her eyes, "Well, that's part of the investigation."

"Kaylessa, just tell them what you were doing. There's no need to get angry for no reason," Esarae told her softly.

Kaylessa inhaled sharply, "I was investigating my dad, alright?"

"Did you find anything?" Kieran asked, not noticing Kaylessa's mood.

"No, but there was a Neverseen attack," Kaylessa said calmly.

Everyone gasped and looked at each other. How was Kaylessa this calm about it? "Neverseen attack?" Raverie asked.

"Yep. Those dummies let Ruy use Raven's blasters on the statues of the Moonlark and her friends saving Atlantis," Kaylessa explained.

Raverie just sighed and looked away. Viessa saw some weird look in her Raverie's eyes. Was it anger? Kaylessa just took her pet back from Ashryn and continued stroking her.

"Well, while you investigated your dad we found two broken white plates with a bird symbol on them. There was one at Alina's death scene and one at Alden's scene." Viessa told Kaylessa.

"Plates?" Kaylessa asked skeptically. "Why were there plates there?"

"We don't know but we think it might have something to do with your mom's jewelry," Viessa stated.

"What do a bunch of plates have to do with jewelry?" Kaylessa asked quietly.

"Don't ask me?" Keryn told her.

"Do the birds look similar?" Esarae asked, elbowing her brother hard on the ribs. Keryn gave his sister a small glare. Esarae just shrugged back.

Kaylessa pulled a pendant from under her tunic and held it out. Viessa reached into her bag and pulled out the broken plates they found.

"The birds do look similar," Esarae said, touching the bird design on the plate carefully. "Very similar."

Kaylessa squinted at the pieces of the plates, "I know those plates."

"They're your mom's plates aren't they?" Keryn asked knowingly.

"Sort of. They were a wedding gift to both of my parents," Kaylessa answered. Viessa knew she was probably thinking of that time.

"Why would the gift be at the death scenes?" Raverie looked at Kaylessa and narrowed her eyes.

Kaylessa shrugged, "Those plates aren't meant for eating, just for decoration, so I don't really know."

"But who would put them there and why?" Kieran asked. "Who has access to them?"

"I don't know," Kaylessa shrugged. "I haven't seen those plates in a long time."

"Well, I don't know what's happening but I have a feeling your dad plays a part in this," Raverie said.

"My dad isn't a murderer," Kaylessa snapped.

"I'm just saying the possibilities," Raverie shrugged.

"Kaylessa, Raverie, please stop arguing," Viessa said to them. "We're supposed to be helping each other."

"I'm just saying what I think," Raverie gave her a look. Kaylessa rolled her eyes.

"I think we should go investigate the place where Kaylessa's dad lives," Aymon suggested. Everyone except Kaylessa looked at Aymon like he was the smartest person in the world.
