Chapter 55: Noona to the Rescue

You woke up the next morning with Jimin still soundly asleep next to you, his arm hung over your side even if he was not back-hugging you anymore, as he sought some sort of closeness even in his sleep.

Turning around carefully, you looked at him for a minute. His ruffled black hair now with a few brown highlights as the dye washed away, pouty lips, jaw hung open slightly being completely relaxed, mochi cheek pressed against the pillow looking extra cute.

How could such a perfect man love you?

He said he wasn't perfect, but he was to you, with his flaws and everything. They hardly mattered when he was everything you thought you'd never have. You truly thought you were destined for toxic relationships, with toxic men, who else could really bother with you?

Jimin opened his eyes and when he saw you he turned around embarrassed. You chuckled and tugged from his arm so he would lay back on his other side to face you, but he didn't budge.

"I look terrible in the morning, how long have you been staring at me?" he could feel his cheeks burning as he laughed softly feeling nervous.

"Lies. You look adorable!" you countered feeling upset that he thought that way.

"I look puffy" he replied sitting up and rubbing his eyes to then begin doing his morning exercises to reduce the swelling. He pressed his palms down on he mattress and deemed the surface hard enough.

Jimin stretched his legs on the bed and arms in the air as he inhaled deeply, then bent forward exhaling with his face down to touch his knees with his nose. He held his posture for a bit and you admired his flexibility.

"So yoga helps with that too?" you asked remembering how he had shown you a few poses to relieve your anxiety.

"Mhm, it improves blood circulation around the eyes" he explained as he switched up his posture after laying back. Lifting his middle and lower back and supporting it with his bent arms, he dropped his toes behind his head. His chin effortlessly pressed against his chest.

"I could never do this" you commented shaking your head in awe to then see him switch his position yet again and make it look even more complicated. His legs where now crossed and up in the air above his head.

You leaned in tilting your head and looked at him as he was upside-down, which made him chuckle amused. After a little bit he sat back up and massaged his face carefully.

"Damn, this hurts" he cursed feeling the aching as he tried to work his fingers around his eyes. He kept forgetting his face felt weird because it was bruised.

"I think I'll meet up with my brother today, we should talk a bit. I know he probably understands why I left, but I feel bad he's stuck there with my parents" Jimin finally turned to look at you nodding.

"That's fine, I'm sure Hoseok hyung won't mind it if I spend the day with him."

"I'll see if Jeonghun can come pick up his car late morning, then we can hang out" you thought out loud as you grabbed your phone to text him.

After you both changed and had breakfast with Hobi and his parents, you left with your dongsaeng for the day. You arranged that you'd come back in the evening and you'd all head back to Seoul after dinner to make it there before midnight.

It was lunch time now and you were sitting at a deli restaurant. You suggested to share something, if your brother didn't know better, he would have been surprised. It was the first time in you didn't know how long that you had had two meals in a row on the same day.

"I should have known mom was going to pull out some of her shit like that. I'm sorry she was like that" your brother commented feeling bad that she had upset you as much as she did and all because of him. You came only because it was his birthday, but it was the best one he had in years thanks to you.

"It's fine, really. At least everything's fine with Jimin" you shared smiling a small smile to yourself while looking down at your hands bashfully, remembering your talk last night. At least there was a positive next to all the negatives.

"He seems nice, I like him" Jeonghun said sincerely and you looked up at him, "not like all those douchebags before him."

"Yah! They were not that bad" you mumbled and he looked at you questioningly.

"They weren't great either, you deserved better, noona" he said sternly and you looked down again. You didn't think so and this conversation was getting too deep for your liking, it was better to redirect it to your brother.

"Jeonghunie, how are you doing? Like, really" he sighed deeply at your words.

"Well, you know Yunseo and I broke up. She was tired of me 'laying around all day doing nothing', she wanted to go out and do all these things all the time and I tried, but I really didn't feel up for it" you furrowed your eyebrows. You knew he struggled with depression and he really did try his best.

"Maybe she wasn't the right one for you" you placed your hand over his trying to comfort him and he took it away.

"I'm not the right one for anyone, actually" he said crossing his arms and pressing his lips together. Your heart broke at his words. He wasn't to blame for his mental illness.

"Look, if I had a chance with Jimin, then you have a chance with anyone" you joked and he smiled amused.

"Do you think he can introduce me to some of the girls in the industry? Mm, Hwasa maybe" Jeonghun commented holding his chin between his thumb and forefinger as he considered his options.

"Believe me, I'd go full lesbian for her too, but I can't ask him to do that. I'm not even sure they know each other all that well, if at all anyway" your dongsaeng rolled his eyes and pouted disappointed, he was only playing with you, but he could dream.

"How's everything at the office with dad?"

"As shitty as usual, just like the salary" he answered bitterly.

"He still hasn't given you a raise?"

"No, it's like he never wants me to leave. He says I don't deserve it, that when I work harder, I'll get it" your dad thought he was motivating him, but he didn't see he was doing his best, even working extra hours to please him. All he did was hinder him and make him feel stuck and worthless.

"You really need to get out of that hellhole" you would have lost your mind if you had stayed there much longer than needed. Being transferred to Japan had been a blessing.

"No shit" as if you didn't know he would if he could. He could barely save up with how low his income was, it was impossible for him to afford rent, much less everything else he needed to not depend on his family. If he left, he didn't want to rely on his parents for anything ever again.

"Yah, why don't you come to Seoul?" you couldn't see your little brother like this, if only you had had someone to give you a hand yourself.

"Are you kidding? If I can't afford to pay the rent here, I most certainly won't be able to pay a single room there" Jeonghun looked at you like you were saying the dumbest of things.

"Move in with me! I'll take care of most of the rent so you can work part-time and study at the same time. Get the degree you want" you felt like you had just had the best idea ever.

"I don't know if that will work, noona" he groaned frustrated. It sounded too good to be true and he didn't want to be a burden to anyone else. He had enough with his parents making it seem that way.

"It will, I can afford it as is, I can even help pay for part of your classes. I wouldn't mind if it would help you get out of there" you seemed to be offering it genuinely and not just out of the kindness of your heart and he smiled fondly.

"I will pay half of everything as soon as I'm settled and have a stable job. Also I'll pay back every last won to you when I actually have a good paying job. How can you afford all that anyway?" Jeonghun set his conditions, but he wondered. Even having worked for the company for over 10 years, you didn't have the highest of positions.

"Guilt raises" you spat dryly and he nodded understanding. They did appreciate you at the company, but not enough to give you a promotion.

You were very capable and would have easily tackled the job openings you saw along the years, but prettier, skinnier women and all kinds of men took the places even if their qualifications weren't as great as yours. But it was the beauty industry on top of it all, so it was only logical.

They paid you extra instead, clearly feeling bad about having turned you down when you were overqualified by now to do most things with all your experience and the familiarity with the company.

As if money was any consolation, it only made them feel better about discriminating. You'd take it though, who wouldn't, but having been turned down so many times you would have preferred a lower pay and a promotion at this point.

"Jimin's gonna hate me" Jeonghun chuckled.

"Jimin doesn't live with me" you looked at your brother confused.

"Don't you have a one bedroom though? Don't idols usually live together?" you blinked and he looked at you in disbelief.

"Yeah? But we can get a sofa bed, it's no problem" you narrowed your eyes not following.

"Is he a prude? I'm pretty sure my noona wasn't last time I checked" he commented boldly being puzzled himself now.

"What the hell, Jeonghun! I am indeed your noona, so watch your mouth" your face was red and he just laughed at you. You were way too close, when you got together it was like you'd never been apart, but this was embarrassing.

"I'm afraid that it would be a deal-breaker. As much as I want to take your offer, hearing my sister doing the naked tango would be too much for me. I don't need more traumas, thank you."

"Please, tell me you didn't hear that" you muttered remembering Jimin's comment at your parents' and covered your face in shame.

"I bet you call him Mr. Park too. Or have things changed?" your little brother said in between giggles as he reminisced of the times you lived under the same roof and you were suddenly tempted to rescind your offer.

"I've watched enough murder porn and crime shows to know how to get away with it. Don't test me, Jeonghun" you growled at him and he knew well you did.

You said your goodbyes when your brother dropped you off at Hobi's later that afternoon and you agreed you'd be in contact to organize his moving in with you. Jimin came out of the house to greet him and you shared the news with him.

"Are you not having dinner, noona?" Hobi asked confused when you refused the plate he offered. He took a seat with it instead. His parents had had dinner earlier and he had joined them, but he didn't want you two eating alone so he hadn't eaten yet.

"I would rather eat later, with the car ride and all. Thank you for the food though, I hope your mom didn't have to cook extra for us" you felt bad rejecting it because she had taken the time, but you didn't want to push it.

You had eaten twice today and that was much more than you usually would. Plus you'd be trapped inside a car and your anxiety had been bad enough on the way here. You didn't want to give yourself reasons to be stressed on the way back too.

Jimin looked at you with a frown, but kept to himself resolving he'd ask about it later. Hopefully you'd eaten something beyond breakfast.

"Are you going to tell me why you have a black eye?" Hoseok asked suddenly looking at your boyfriend and then at you.

Jimin had covered it with make-up, but his face was swollen and Hobi did see it last night. He just knew better than to say something knowing you didn't have a good day and something serious had gone down.

"Don't worry about it, hyung. It's not as bad as it seems" Jimin smiled a wide sheepish smile and even that made his face hurt. His hyung seemed unamused, he indeed looked particularly daunting when he was serious.

"Did you get in a fight?" he insisted needing an explanation.

"With a door, yes" you answered nonchalantly and Jimin looked at you with wide eyes.

"What did you do to have a door slammed in your face, Jimin-ah?" Hobi asked looking at you concerned.

"Yah! Why did I have to do something??" he complained glancing at you, silently asking for some help. You were having fun with it though and he did deserve it...in a way.

"You know, Hob-ah, he might have crossed a line with me" Jimin felt betrayed hearing your answer.

"Jimin-ah! Come on" Hobi looked at him judgingly, holding his arms up.

"I didn't do anything!" the younger one protested as he stared at him disappointed. He stood up and pointed at you then at his hyung so you'd really say the truth, "tell him!"

"You did something you shouldn't have. Did you not, Jimin-ah?"

Your boyfriend huffed in frustration. He shouldn't have eavesdropped, true, but it sounded like he had done something much worse to you this way. He never apologized for it though, so maybe it was time he did.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have, okay? Now tell him the truth" he demanded and you obliged without going into too much detail, but enough to defend Jimin's honor.

You were on the road back to Seoul not long after, all you had to do was load the car with your bags. You weren't as tired as you usually would be at this time of the day, probably because you had more calories to burn. The thought was rather unnerving.

"Should we listen to your playlists, noona?" Hobi offered. On the way from Seoul, you had mostly listened to his, but he was curious about what kind of music you listened to.

"Oh, oh! This song...this is my song" you exclaimed excitedly when this particular one came up eventually and Jimin looked at you surprised.

"Tony Montana?" he questioned you

His eyes widened when out of nowhere you started rapping. You kept up effortlessly and he was shocked, he couldn't do anything but stare at you.

"You've got good flow, noona!" Hobi praised you and started hyping you up.

Then Yankie's part came up, but it was actually his version that they had done live with Yoongi for that one muster.

"Do your part, please!" you shook his arm and encouraged him with a huge smile. He snapped out of his confused state to do so, giving it his all just because it was you who asked.

Hobi backed him up all throughout while you cheered both guys on and then he rapped the last part himself.

"Aish, that was great! I like your version much better than Yankie's, Jimin-ah"

"You do?" he couldn't believe you were telling him this, his face flushed. Better than an actual rapper's? He felt so smug after you said that.

"Yes! Let me tell you, I do have my gangster music, I've got a good flow. Once I've listened to a song a few times I can follow. I'm a lil' hood, I guess" you shared proudly and he thought that was the hottest thing.

"You should really develop that skill, it doesn't come as easy as it seems" Hobi commented and you smiled widely, it meant a lot coming from him.

"Will you growl more for me? You sound so sexy when you do it" you whispered in Jimin's ear after a little while so his hyung wouldn't hear.

He pressed his lips together and side glanced at you amused before taking your hand and bringing it on his lap. He slid it up his thigh, where he usually rested it when you held hands, and brought it over his zipper.

Your eyes widened when you felt he was slightly aroused and you pulled back your hand immediately. Feeling flustered, you slapped his arm.

"Aigu, what was that for!" he complained rubbing it to soothe the stinging.

"What do you take me for, Mr. Park?" you were blushing furiously and he giggled.

"You shouldn't have teased me then" he growled in your ear lightly pushing your arm in a childish manner, to which you answered slapping him lightly again.

"Look who's talking, you stop!" you protested at his tone of voice. You'd just told him you were weak for it, how could this not be on purpose? It wasn't though.

"What's going on back there?" Hobi asked puzzled as you kept fighting each other like little children.

"Just keep slapping me, baby. I like it when you do it" he growled in your ear intentionally this time.

As he expected, that made you stop and leave him alone. He snickered pleased seeing you were bright red. You didn't easily get flustered these days, not now that you were both more comfortable with each other.

He shifted on his seat and tried not to think too much about all this. The fact that you'd easily rapped along was so unexpected. Then you told him you preferred him over Yankie and now that you wanted him to growl for you.

It was hard not to feel somewhat turned on when you were stroking his ego like that. Jimin had just cheekily wanted to show you how he felt about this whole thing. You liked his rapping? Well, he liked what you'd been telling him too.

He felt hot and bothered since your mom hinted at you doing anything. He hadn't even thought about any of that at your parents', that was until you denied any possibility of it. And now you were planning for your brother to move in with you.

There wasn't enough privacy at the dorms to be so carefree when it came to intimacy and he couldn't help being a tad annoyed now that your apartment wasn't going to be just your own either.

All the members tried to be respectful of each other when they brought someone over and he intended to do the same. If they could, they always spent the night at their girlfriend's rather than the other way round. It was much better for everyone involved.

"I'm glad you didn't get sick on our way back" Hobi commented as you got out of the car now in front of your apartment building. "Have a good night!"

"You too, Hob-ah. Thank you for driving!" you said waving your hand as you leaned to look at him through the car's window one last time. You had already told Jimin the real reason why you didn't have dinner and he was glad you'd tried to eat some more today.

He took your suitcase out of the trunk for you and walked you to the door holding your hand. He wished it wasn't late Sunday night so he could stay. It was nice to spend all weekend with you, even if you fought, something good came out of it.

"Good night, Jiminie" you said smiling sweetly and he pulled you in for a heated kiss. You pushed him off after enjoying yourself for a couple seconds, feeling your cheeks burn.

"Mr. Park, please. We are in public" you looked around rattled, but he had already checked. It was late at night and you didn't live in a busy area of the city anyway.

"I'll see you next Saturday, baby" he said with a particularly flirty smirk and lightly caressed the corner of your lips with his thumb before planting a sensual kiss on them.

When he walked away you could have sworn he was moving his hips purposely just to tease you. If you said something about it though, he'd be right in thinking you were looking.

That night he sent you a particularly hot selca when he went to bed, something he'd never done before. You couldn't help but gasp and cover your mouth when you opened the conversation, unaware of what was about to hit you, and it came up on the screen.

This man was going to kill you for sure one of these days and you'd thank him for it.
