Chapter 39: Indecent Bribery
Despite having a closet full of outfits, you couldn't decide on what to wear for Taehyung's Christmas party. After Jimin insisted you come with him every day of the following week and included several puppy eyed selcas and a couple sexier ones, you'd given in.

You put on your make-up carefully, trying to find a middle ground between the softer look Jimin liked and your more formal one. To finish you applied a dark red lipstick to go with your skirt and lip gloss. Just as you were blotting your lips, you heard the doorbell.
Shaking slightly, you waited by the door nervously, Jimin's reaction would help you make your final decision. If he hated it, you'd change it without hesitation. If he liked it, you'd feel more at ease, that's how it usually worked. His approval was important.
To offer reassurance, he had told you to show him whatever you tried on, but you refused to. You wanted to surprise him too, but at the same time it was a risky move. You were conflicted, Nyoko had told you it was okay to pick what you liked best, yet you also wanted Jimin to like it.
The one piece of information he managed to get out of you is that you liked to wear at least one item in Christmas colors, so he also picked something that would hopefully match. The number of questions with which you had bombed him trying to know exactly what kind of attire was suitable gave him a good idea of what he should wear.
When you went to open the door, you held your breath in anticipation. Unknowingly, Jimin did the same thing on the other side. You'd both either look ridiculous or cute together, there was a fine line, you went about this blindly. Too formal? Too informal? There was no way to tell.
His eyes widened at the sight of you shyly stepping away from the door, hands clasped together behind your back. One leg slightly bent at the knee in front of the other bashfully, not knowing how to stand without your heels.
You felt awkward, to Jimin the pose was inadvertently sensual. Cute and demure yet incredibly sexy. There was a small bow in the center of the waist of your skirt, he was pleased his red suit jacket was a plush red as well.
Swallowing hard, you observed him as he bit on his plump lips, eyeing you slowly and carefully from bottom to top. A wide smile spread across his face when he met your fearful eyes and he realized he hadn't said a word. Damn, you made her uncomfortable, he cursed in his head.
"I love it, aegi. You look beautiful" Jimin commented in a soft and lush tone, taking a step closer and wrapping his arm around your waist. He pulled you against him and looked in your eyes with an audacious smirk.
"You are going to catch a cold, Mr. Park" you said all flustered, looking down at the few undone buttons on his crisp white shirt and holding it together to cover his skin. He chuckled and tilted his head, trying to make you look up.
"We match, we'll look cute together" he chirped and you looked up at him, his teeth now buried in his tongue as it poked the corner of his lips. Who allowed him, he needs to calm down, you thought trying to chill.
"Yeah and we didn't plan it. It was destined to happen" you replied with a little nervous laugh as you took a step back and Jimin let go of you so you could get ready. While you put your heels on, you looked at his tight fitting pitch-black jeans and pointed black boots.
"Do you like it?" he asked curiously, looking a lot more innocent in the blink of an eye. The answer was predictable by your reaction, but he needed to double check to be certain. Even if you couldn't imagine, he needed validation too.
"Well, shit" I'm pregnant, your mind completed the rest of the meme. Why had you teased him with memes? Now you couldn't get them out of your head. It was only funny when you were not faced with the guys themselves.
"What was that?" Jimin panicked for a second, but you hurried to cover what you'd blurted out.
"You look very handsome" you said with a coy smile and he smirked pleased with a soft sigh.
"Have you had dinner?" he asked, raising his eyebrows questioningly. You'd promised you would, you didn't want to go to a restaurant with him, so you compromised. Before meeting, you'd eat separately.
You simply nodded and looked down shamefully, as if you'd done something wrong, you couldn't help it. Jimin grabbed your upper arms and kissed your cheek, knowing you were uncomfortable, but happy you were making an effort.
Since you had him get rid of the mirrors, you'd been trying again to eat some more and introduce a variety of foods. You weren't ready to get professional help, going to a nutritionist to begin sounded terrifying. It made you think of your mom and her meal plans.
"Should we get going?" he asked as he saw you reach for your coat. Nodding silently, you walked past him and headed to the elevator. He knew not to comment further on the food topic, you'd relax once more soon enough, so he didn't push you.
"I parked a couple blocks away," you commented nervously. His car had been taken in for its yearly check-up, so you were driving tonight. Jimin took your hand and squeezed it reassuringly, he was glad you were coming with him, but it wasn't easy for you.
He'd made sure to talk to Taehyung about it so you'd feel as safe as possible and they had organized everything so they had dinner before you arrived. Hopefully you'd have a good time without any stressful situations.
The drive to his place was quiet, you just listened to some soft music. You were focused on the streets ahead, gripping the wheel tightly and holding a stern countenance. Jimin looked at you from time to time, a tiny unconscious pout on his lips as he felt a little guilty.
He truly appreciated the effort and he was sure it would be good for you as well, small steps were huge, he'd know.
"This is embarrassing, I can't park to save my life" you grumbled annoyed as you failed to smoothly go in the space and kept backing out to straighten your car.
"Don't worry, aegi. You sure can Park" he joked snickering with a smirk. You side-glanced at him with an entertained smile.
"By some miracle" you muttered and he rolled his eyes, which you could see out of the corner of his eye. Of course you wouldn't believe him.
Getting out of the car, you finally walked towards Taehyung's building. You grabbed Jimin's hand and held it tightly, anxiety filling your chest. Your grip was uncomfortably hard, you sure were cutting the blood circulation, but he pressed his lips together enduring it for your sake.
After ringing the doorbell, Jimin held your shoulders and kissed you softly.
"It's going to be okay, you can do this" he said as he pulled back with a sweet and encouraging smile. His hands stroked your arms up and down before he pulled back at the sound of the door unlocking.
"Jimin-ah, your-" you didn't get to warn him before Taehyung's girlfriend welcomed you two with a small smile on her face. She smirked amused and Jimin looked at her with furrowed eyebrows in confusion.
She simply tapped her lips not dropping the face and he ran the back of his hand across his lips and saw your red lipstick smudged on his skin. He giggled, looking away embarrassed and running his fingers through his mouth a couple more times to make sure he'd wiped it all.
"Please come on in, guys!" she stepped aside and Jimin placed his hand on the small of your back lightly pushing you to walk in first. You offered a small smile to the woman in front of you.
Her hair was delicately curled, she wore a gingham shirt in dark red and green, black pants and ankle high boots. Nothing pretentious, her style was very nice though and she was also wearing festive colors.
"I like your outfit" she said a little awkwardly, trying to make some conversation as she walked with you showing you the living room.
"Thank you, I like yours too" you commented and she smiled feeling a little more relaxed. You liked her, it's not like you thought Taehyung was going to be with someone stuck up, but you didn't know what to expect even if Jimin had said she was nice. Someone from a higher class maybe?
"Jiminie, who is this?" his friend's mother asked curiously as he greeted her and Tae's father with you timidly standing behind him.
"This is" Jimin started and looked over at you for a second before turning back to them, "my girlfriend" he introduced you telling them your name and you froze. Were you really a couple, officially? You barely snapped out of your shock to quickly bow not to be rude.
"Taehyung didn't tell us your girlfriend was joining us, it's so nice to meet you" the father commented and you returned the feeling. You sat down next to Jimin on the other side of the coffee table, facing Taehyung's partner.
Just then he came into the room carrying a tray with glasses and cups. Yeontan and a fluffy white dog trailed after him with a little spring in their step. He greeted you with a wide smile as he put it down, bowing before taking a seat.
The dogs walked up to you needing to sniff the stranger in the room and Taehyung's girlfriend introduced Hyeri which was now nuzzling Jimin's hand wanting to be petted. The little pomeranian stared at you, your hands were on your lap playing with the bow on your skirt nervously.
Suddenly Yeontan started barking at you and your heart stopped. You knew it was silly, but dogs were known to be good judges of character and you felt bad. Had he sensed something was off? Did he not like you? What would everyone think of you?
Tightly grabbing Jimin's forearm, you looked at him worriedly and he turned to you confused. He never thought to ask about the dogs, he figured you would know at least Yeontan was going to be around.
"Are you scared of dogs, aegi?" he whispered seeing Taehyung pick up Tan hurriedly, taking him away from you.
"Why doesn't he like me?" you blurted out in a soft voice and Tae pressed his lips together and looked at you with a raised eyebrow.
