Coffee And Cookies

Hina was waiting the reply from The Mehta's for the reply. Saaz saw his wife being all nervous, she was not much used to not getting what she wanted when she wanted. Saaz gave her a glass of water, she drank and kept it aside, He sat next to her.

"Hina, I know that you want bring your daughter-in-law over her as soon as possible but you need to understand that their eldest daughter just left the house, and they might not be ready to let the youngest go like that" said Saaz and Held her hand trying to comfort.

"You should understand that Tehreem is very young and still studying, now only her sister got married and there is an age difference between both of them" said Saaz trying to make Hina understand

"Saaz, we are not prohibiting Tehreem from studying, she can study how much she wants, and we'll give all the support needed" said Hina trying to reason

"Hina, would you just send away Sarah now" asked Saaz and Hina nodded negatively

"That's the same case for them, try thinking from their side too like that, Hina she'll come here only and nowhere else," said Saaz

"I want Haider to be happy and healthy, I'm sure that the second she comes here everything is going to be alright" said Hina and Saaz sighed

"You are putting too many things on her shoulder, Hina be ready to get any answer from then, If It's a yes then good but If It's No then don't make an issue" said Saaz and Hina nodded.

He was struggling to make his Wife ready for any answer. Everybody could notice a change in Haider since Tehreem and Hina wanted more of that in his life.

"Hello" said Tehreem attending her phone call

"It's Sarah, Haider's younger cool sister," said Sarah

"Hey Sarah, how are you?" asked Tehreem in a chirpy voice

"I'm doing fine, I called you to ask that are you free in the evening" asked Sarah

"Yes I'm, What's it?" asked Tehreem

"I wanted to meet you so can we meet in the evening, I'm thinking in a café if you are fine with it, chatting with coffee hits different," said Sarah

"Yes sure, just text me the address and I'll be there," said Tehreem

"That would be great" said Sarah, they discussed for a while, and they said bye. Tehreem took a casual outfit from her cupboard and wore it. She wore her hoop earrings, she put on some eyeliner and tinted lip balm to complete her look. Tehreem called up a cab because she was in no mood to drive.

Tehreem got out of the cab, The scent of coffee and cookies hit her nose and she smiled. She walks and sees Sarah waving at her, Tehreem smiles at Sarah and sits next to her, Tehreem often wonders that is Sarah Haider's sister, she is sweet while he is very annoying.

"Good evening" said Tehreem with a smile, Sarah could see the reason of impatience in her mother. Tehreem is so nice that Some of that will be in Haider's head

"Sorry for calling you all of a sudden, this was kind of important," said Sarah

"It's completely fine" said Tehreem with a smile

"You must know that Mom had asked your parents to prepone the wedding and you might feel that so out of place, but I think you at least should know the reason why my mom is insistent," said Sarah

"Yeah" said Tehreem with an awkward smile, she was not looking forward to seeing Haider's face everyday

"Since you've come to our life, Haider has been changed a lot in a good way and you've a big effect on him, you did what we were trying for so long and Mom is just selfish but she's a mother, she couldn't get enough of your effect," said Sarah

"I know that's a lot on you, but it would be great if you consider coming to our house early, No one can wait on you being a part of our family, everybody loves you and want to shower more love, you wouldn't have any problems at ours," said Sarah

"I know it's not my place to say but I think we are closer in age, so we'd understand comparing to others with a huge generation gap, I'm just asking to see if there is even a small chance to bring you to our house," said Sarah

"I'll think about it," said Tehreem

"That's all I'm asking for," said Sarah.

They both chatted for a while then they said their byes and left. Tehreem left and she entered the house with her spare key. She sat in the sofa in tiredness, she could hear her parents. She was not paying attention, but she heard Haider's name.

"Tehreem's in-laws is asking me a lot to prepone the wedding, I don't know if she's ready for it, we've to let our girls fly out one day so I've come in terms with it somehow, but she hasn't said anything that's concerning me" said Nusrat

"I'm glad that we found a family who loves her and wants her to pursue whatever she wants, she should be ready and in correct terms before anything, whatever her answer is we are going to support her" said Taroon and Nusrat hummed agreeing

"Both of our daughters leaving our house earlier than what we thought" Nusrat pointed out and Taroon hummed.

Tehreem put the water jug with a bit extra power to show that she is home. She walks to her room with plenty of thoughts in her mind. She changed into something comfortable and stood near the balcony while the cold winds touch her face.

Her phone kept on buzzing, and she saw the notifications. She saw that Haider was texting her and she decided to ignore it. She took out her phone and read it at last.

"Go and say yes to prepone the wedding or you know what would happen" texted Haider

"I hate you Areeka, more than Haider" she muttered gritting her teeth......
