Chapter 12
Annabeth
We all stood in the clearing. Four days it has been since me and Percy reunited. Together we used all our resources to find all of the knowledge we know today. Percy led the group of demigods while I stayed in a nearby free. We had a plan, and I was sure we weren't going to fail.
The gods came up to their senses for a bit. Apparently our enemy has been fooling with them as well. Not surprising, though I am still quite mad they didn't do anything of the slightest to help.
Piper and Aphrodite were speaking early this morning about our battle—big mistake. Now she's treating us as her own personal Barbie dolls, again.
Piper stood on the right side of Jason, dressed in a long white skirt, tank and denim jacket. She had a shield in one hand and a weapon hidden under it. Jason was dressed in a white tee and black leather coat, typical jeans and his golden coin in palm. My Percy had on the same outfit he was wearing earlier though, blood stained half blood shirt and jeans. The luck they got, as I was stuck in a long flowing white dress.
There was nothing in the field yet, but I was distracted by a sound in the trees surrounding me. My gaze seemed to be on nothing but the wildlife. I couldn't move. I heard a small beep from my communicator Leo have me.
The battle has begun.

The field was empty. My head was pounding. I shut my ears and took a deep breath. When I opened them again I saw her. Annabeth. What was she doing down here? Why is she not in the trees? I looked up to where she was earlier, but I couldn't see anything from the angle I was in. She stood across from me on the field staring at the pond, her side to me. She wore a short sleeved white dress that flew with the wind behind her, her shiny hair in loose curls. The same outfit Aphrodite put her in.
I looked down at myself, I wore an orange camp half-blood tee and jeans. They were covered in blood. Riptide was in my hands. I began walking towards her.
About a hundred arrows flew from the trees to the innocent girl, she fell to the ground. Arrows sticking through random parts of her body, her dress slowly turning red. Artemis's hunters?? That's the wrong person they're attacking!
Then a ton people from behind ran to her, they were dressed in many kinds of armour. At first I thought they were going to help her...then I saw the weapons. Swords, daggers, spears, everything. And they were aiming them at my girl. My Annie! Wait, they're from the camps! Whats going on?
I was furious, I charged at them with Riptide, they were stabbing her, slicing her to pieces. As I got closer, they opened a path in their circle around her for me to get through, as if I was the king or something.
I slowed down a bit, I looked at them, who all looked at me. They looked familiar, but I didnt care. They all seemed to have changed now. No one hurts my Annabeth, no one. I was going to kill them.
I glared at them, they held no fear on their faces but instead, relief and something that told me to continue. That what I was about to do was right. Did they want to die? No, that cant be the case, whats going on?
Right when I was about to stop walking and side-step to stab one of the guys, I found myself raising my blade, and continued walking straight and closer to Annabeth, where she lead bleeding on the ground. Right, I need to help her first, but why is Riptide like this? Im probably just preparing for them to hurt me. My body does do things without me knowing, instinct or something I guess.
Her dress was no longer white, her hair was drenched in blood and sticking to her skin. I flipped her over onto her back with my foot, she winced in pain. She clutched her stomach, where a single arrow still stood, cuts and bruises all over the exposed skin that the shredded dress no longer covered. She would die if I didnt help her soon.
Without my command, my hands gripped Riptides handle tightly and I slowly raised them over my head, pointing right at her body. "What?" I screamed. No one seemed to hear me. "No! I wouldn't, I couldn't!"
I felt as if I was talking to corpses, no one said a word, or moved. This was super weird, I would never hurt her! Never! I shouted more screams and cries, then I realized my tears were nonexistent and my mouth didnt move, nor make a sound.
Two hands wrapped around mine and together we brought down the sword in Annabeths heart.
_______
Annabeth
No!
I broke free of my trance when an arrow started to fly, I snapped my head towards the field. I was there, well not me but someone who looked a lot like me. Percy looked confused, does he think thats the real me? No! Percy I'm here, don't fall for it!
More arrows flew from the trees and hit me/her and she fell to the ground. The camps started attacking her and Percy slowly walked closer. They all stopped and cleared a way for him, but he didn't seem to know what to do. He was still confused on what to believe. I saw her hiding a dagger under her dress skirt as she smiled up at him. Should I stay up here and listen to Percy's command or do I interfere? Should I trust that he will do what he is supposed to? What if he gets tricked?
You have to make the right choice. I heard my mother's voice saying.
I am trusting my instincts.
I jumped down from the tree and ran to Percy. I put my hands over his and helped him bring the sword into the demons chest. She screamed and writhed in agony before bubbling and melting like Percy's disguise earlier. Everyone was shocked to see who owned the body. Laying in the ground was none other than Bianca D'Angelo.
And she was dead, again.
