Chapter 11
Percy
We stormed into the trees together. Me and my band of horrid creatures and demons.
Not.
Me and the group did go through the forest, but we weren't monsters, at least not for real. We were all under the effects of a cloaking device to make us look like he bad guys.
Me and Leo cracked open another clue. He discovered all these little devices on the enemies corpses from the battle. Once they were taken, the bodies shimmered before turning into their original forms–the other campers.
They were under the devices the while time. At first we thought most of them fled, but that wasn't the case. Maybe they all continued to attack because they thought we turned against them, or brainwashed, or maybe they just turned...like Nico.
Leo had taken the devices and upgraded them, now, not only can they cloak us, but they also have mini communicators in them, so we can speak to each other. We weren't planning on heading anywhere yet, we havent any clue where. So, we were going to Junipers, she was the only lead to Grover, whom I still suspect.
We were nearing the house, I rode BlackJack in the sky and Jason rode his own horse nearby with Piper. Hazel and Fred rode Hazel's steed, slowly. If that's considered slow, Fred looked a bit green, any puke bags around?
Leo charged on Mrs O'Leary, who was disguised as a hell hound. Me and Jason were some kind of flying birds and Hazel was a Minotaur, a fast one. Even Rachel, newly healed, was with us. Her arms tied tightly around Leo. There were more if us though, the remaining campers from home were also there along with Camp Jupiter. We were a team.
I could see the faint light of the house. I signaled to BlackJack and zoomed in close, whispering into my communicator, "I'm going in, stay hidden."
The others slowed to a stop and I landed my Pegasus behind the Nymph's small home. I changed my appearance to Luke, an old friend of mine, I couldn't reveal myself to anyone, yet. I had to stay safe, and no one would suspect him, he turned good again before he past.
I raised my hand to the door. Three knocks;
One
Two
Three
The door slowly opened, light flooded the dark trees around me, my mouth stood agape as I saw the person standing in front of me.
Annabeth Chase.
She gasped and brought her knee up fast.

I heard knocking, Grover and Juniper were still fast asleep on the floor, I don't want to wake them. It won't hurt to take a peek. I thought as I slowly opened the door.
Luke
I brought my knee up nd kicked him, hard. He fell to the ground clutching himself tightly and groaning. "Ow! Annie!"
I inhaled sharply, only one person calls me Annie...
"Seaweed brain?"
His body shimmered before melting away like hot ice cubes. There, on the cold damp moss, layed my boyfriend, clutching himself and nearly in tears. Oops.
I fell to the ground beside him with my own eyes tearing up. "I'm so sorry! I thought you were Luke! I didn't mean it!"
He sat up and wrapped his dirt covered arms around me securely, "It's ok, I'm here." I cried into his arms, loud sobs coming from my throat. If anyone was here to see this, I'd be embarrassed. Luckily, we're alone. Right? I feel like I'm being watched....
"Wheres Grover?" Percy said against my hair.
I pulled back only to look into his eyes, "Hes inside, but Percy! Hes innocent, Luke captured him along with me..hes been there before the almost-kiss."
Percy's eyes widened as if he wanted to believe that, "Lies, hes tricking you Annie!"
I pushed Percy away then, though it hurt to do so, I was cold but I narrowed my eyes at my boyfriend. "Hes not lying Percy! I swear it on my life! As the daughter of Wisdom, I tell you, Grover is innocent." I raised two fingers up, a girl scouts salute.
He grabbed my hands in his, "I trust you, Annie, c'mon you need to hear the rest of the story. Guys?!"
A herd of monsters stumbled into the clearing. I screamed.
~
"Holy gods." I breathed, my fists clenching and unclenching from where they rested on the table. Percy sat next to me, Grover and Juniper to my right and the rest of our friends directly in front of me. We were outside, in some outdoor garden/picnic area. But we all knew we weren't here for any picnic.
I was just told the whole story, the cloaking devices, the imposters, the injured camp members, the deceased. It made me sick to my stomach, I killed some of my fellow campers. Oh gods. Tears welled up in my eyes.
"Shh" Percy soothed, wiping away the forming tears with his thumb. "Its ok. I found you, your safe." I shook my head and buried myself into his neck, I broke down there, in the dark region of his shoulder, his arms circled my waist securing me as my body trembled with each tear. I felt Rachel come up behind me and rub my back soothingly. "It's ok, dont worry. We all feel your pain."
I let them all comfort me but I didn't feel any better, I was so ashamed. How could I kill my family? The ones I loved? All dead...
Because of us.
"You shouldn't have found me, I did all this." I murmured, thinking, It's all my fault. If I hadn't been so paranoid and attack everything I saw then I wouldn't have killed the first monster, staring the fight. I couldn't help but think that person could be someone from my cabin, the ones I swore I would protect. Or Percy. I sobbed harder, I soon felt my self breath heavier and more sluggish. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep. Percy held my body against him before reaching down to scoop me up in his arms. He brought me back to my bed and laid me down. He laid right beside me, his arm around my waist as he threw the blanket over our shoulders. He whispered in my ear, "Never will I leave you behind."
