Naina after sending file to Sameer, quickly prepare his coffee and knock on the door... she went inside seeing him busy in working on his laptop... she kept the coffee on table, waiting for his instructions... he said without looking at her, "sit... I need to check and discuss this data and reports with you before meeting..."

She sits in front of him... passing few minutes he stopped working and looked at her face... since morning because of him, she was in low spirit but now she seems better and relaxed... he noticed her going down with Preeti for lunch and how comfortable she is with her... he knew staying and spending time with Preeti is always be her best stress reliever...

Since morning he was trying to talk with her but not getting any chance... he intentionally asked her to prepare this report, trying to get some time to talk with her... he slowly moved to her side giving her instructions to change some points in the report... she was busy in making notes whereas his eyes were glued on her... he smiled seeing her relaxed and so much focused on her work, forgetting all her surroundings...

Sameer slowly came close to her ... she was engrossed in making notes when he asked suddenly, "have you taken your medicines after lunch?" his voice was filled with concern for her knowing her condition if she skips her medicine...

She looked at him in fear and shook her head... giving an annoying look, he pulled out her medicine from his pocket and keep it at her hand with a glass of water... getting nervous, she took all the medicines and again about to gulp it all together like last night... he quickly held her wrist to stop just in time... saying in high tone, "one by one..."

She didn't show any reaction and nodded slowly... he scolds her again, "how can you be so irresponsible... if you again repeat it, I will admit you back in hospital... did you get that..." he expected her to react and say something, but she nodded her head slowly looking down...

He again focused on instructing her to do more changes in the reports, sitting close to her... he wants to talk with her and make an apology for morning but seeing her disinterest for any discussion, he stops himself... after completing the discussion, he asked her to quickly make the changes before meeting starts... she stood hurriedly but by mistake she stretched her hand to adjust her dupatta and his coffee mug on the table, toppled and spilled on her own dress...

She reprimands herself to be always so careless and spoil things more for her... she had to stay in office for rest of the day and now her dress is stained with a big patch...

Sameer passed her some tissues when she denied getting irritated more, "it's okay... I will wash it out... coffee ka nishaan hai, aise nahin jayega..." she was more irritated on herself being so clumsy always... since morning she is disturbed with her dressings, after hearing from Kamya and now this mess, created by herself...

Giving an impossible look to her, he moved back to his side of table and pulled out a packet ... he forwards it to her saying with a cold tone, "go and change fast... you have to attend this meeting with me..."

She looked at the packet and feels dishearten more thinking, "iska matlab Kamya sahi thi... am I looking so disgusting in this dress that he can't even take me along in office meting... he felt so sickening about me that he bought a dress for me..."

She stood rooted there all lost when Sameer came to her side keeping the packet in her hand.... he said again seeing no move from her side, "go and change... why are you standing here like a dumb... we are getting late for meeting..."

Suddenly tears flown out from her eyes... she replied slowly, "thanks Mr Maheshwari but I don't need any more favors from you... I know I can't afford expensive clothes like you all, but I have my own dignity... if you feel ashamed on me taking with you in meeting, I would also love to not join you in this meeting..."

She was about to turned when he harshly pulled her wrist leaning towards him... he glared asking, "what did you said... I am ashamed of you... say it again..." his tone was high with a pinch of sadness creeping up on him... why she always misunderstood his intentions?

He shouted when she lowered her eyes saying, "doesn't matter if I say it again or not... the truth will not change... I know my reality..."

He clenched her jaws in his palm lifting her face looking straight into her eyes, "why are you behaving like this... did I said anything wrong... It's just your dress spoiled so I asked you to change.... what's wrong in this.... why are you making issue out of it?" he was totally clueless what's making her so angry on just offering a dress...

She replied slowly with teary eyes, "I don't need anyone to show sympathy on me... I don't need any favor from you or anyone else... didn't I told you this earlier... than why are you giving me this dress...?"

Sameer seeing her crying for no reasons, shouted on her, "why should I buy anything for you... it's you only who bought this dress for dinner party that day... isn't it so..." saying this he pulled out the dress from packet and show it to her...

She realizes it's the same dress which she herself bought, to wear on dinner party... but how come it reaches to him... she has handed it to Preeti... but... she hurt him... he was just helping her to avoid getting embarrassed in front of others and she misunderstood him... she was deeply hurt by Kamya's word but she outburst on Sameer without any reason...

She looked at him feeling guilty on her rude behavior and muttered, "sorry... I thought..."

He shouts, "get out from here..." she wants to apologize but he moved out from her sight going towards the attached lounge to be alone for some time...

She slowly moved out from cabin and straight went to washroom to change her stained dress... coming out she sits back on her seat making changes in the report when saw Sameer going towards the conference room... she quietly followed him collecting all the files....

It was already evening, and meeting starts... Naina wants to apologize but in front of all it was not possible at all... Sameer initiates the discussion, asking her to run the presentation.... she stood next to him showing data and explaining the presentation, when her mobile beeped...

She saw the sender's name Kamya and averted her gaze from the screen focusing on the presentation... it's only because of Kamya she reacted rudely and shouted on Sameer... he was nowhere on fault and was just trying to help her... she even didn't get time to apologize but now she doesn't want to spoil this meeting and get her work suffer...

Sameer observed her changed expression... they were in midst of discussion when one by one so many messages beeped on her phone, making him irritated more... before she picked up her phone to keep it on silent, he stretched his hand and picked up the phone lying at table... giving a disgusting look on the name visible on screen, he switched off her phone and keep it in his suit pocket...

Naina stunned on his reaction but didn't get courage to ask him to give it back... keeping herself calm, she diverted her full focus on meeting which went for quiet long hours... seems Sameer doesn't want it to finish either...

Meeting ended up in late evening around 8 pm... Naina stood to collect all the files going back to her seat when Sameer stop her, "wait... I need to discuss on some points more..."

All left leaving them both alone in conference room... she looked so tired making his heart flinched, but he didn't show up... they continued their discussion, however Naina was worried about getting late as Kamya must be waiting for her to be back on time... she cannot inform her either as her mobile is also with Sameer...

Seeing her so restless he suddenly asked, "if you want you can take some rest.... will finish later after a short break..." she looked him shockingly asked, "are we not going back home tonight..."

Giving a sharp look he replied, "why... can't we work one day late if something urgent... I told you I want to finish this today... any problem in this... I thought you loved to work whole night..." he said with a teasing smile on her few days back behavior of working whole night alone...

Naina paused for a moment and nodded obediently, "no its okay... we can finish it now... I am fine..." she knew it was all intentional as the work in hand is not seems so important to finish right now only... added to that, this work can be alone managed by her, as his assistant, but Sameer is not leaving her alone...

When she sits back in front of him to start working again, heard his voice, "order dinner for us..."

Naina understood he doesn't want her to go back home to meet Kamya and somehow feel peace in some corner in her heart... also she could not resist his order...

She nodded asking, "what will you have...?" he replied casually working on his laptop, "anything will go... it's okay with your choice..." in reality, he wants to know her preferred food...

Naina stood there fidgeting her fingers nervously as she doesn't know his choices and likings... though they were staying together from last one month but hardly spend any time together to know each other... he always maintain distance from her and except a daily routine breakfast they never sits together for lunch and dinner... even during her illness he accompanied her in dinner but they ate whatever was served by servants... didn't knew it was his choice or Doctor's prescribed meal for her... but they shared...

Sameer looked at her standing there all lost in her own thoughts without making any move... he rolled over his wheelchair going closer to her... he grasps her hand to make her jerk softly asking, "what happened... you alright?"

She looked at him like a lost expression in her eyes, "I.. I .. don't know what you would like to eat... I mean..."

Sameer holding her hand softly in his make her sit in front of him and asked, "tell me what you want to eat...? will order same..." its first time in her life when someone was asking for her choice... she feel touched with his soft gesture...

Before they talk further, Pandit barged in without a knock and shocked to see Sameer sitting there holding Naina's hand so closely... he smiled naughtily when Sameer gave a deathly glare to him to keep quiet but didn't leave her hand... he doesn't want any embarrassment for Naina...

Pandit said suppressing his smile, "I think it's too late and you two seems toooo busy, so I ordered dinner for you both... come and have it in cabin... I am going out for some work..." he left without waiting for their answer, giving them privacy...

Naina pulled her hand feeling shy in his intense gaze... he makes a move to go out, but she kept her hand on his hands asking for permission... he nodded his head slightly... she helped to push his wheelchair and they both went to his cabin in attached lounge to have dinner together....

Naina served dinner in two plates and sits in front of him... his eyes were fixed on her expressionless face when suddenly Sameer asked, "are you disappointed..."

Naina looked at him surprisingly and asked, "what... I mean why?" she blinked her eyes in confusion not getting any reason of such question suddenly...

"I think you want to spend time with your friend and have dinner together but didn't get chance... so, you must be angry with me, right..." he asked straight looking into her eyes... he assume her sudden outburst was due to this reason only because he didn't allow her to stay back at home with Kamya...

Naina replied, "No, not at all... I mean I am fine here also with you... it's perfectly alright for me and work was important..." she said in a flow showing no emotions, but surely not disappointed... 

Anyways the situation is worst in both the scenario for her... but somehow she was at peace, with a silent dinner with Sameer, rather having a disturbing discussion at home with Kamya in presence of Vishakha...

Sameer smiled inwardly that at least she is not upset with him to stop her here till late night... he had seen her gloomy face after talking to Kamya in parking and knew something is bothering her... till she is not comfortable in opening her he doesn't want to impose himself upon her... already things are not going in right direction for them... the more he tries to go close to her the more differences increase...

Time being since Sameer aware about Kamya's real intentions for staying at their house, he doesn't let her allow to get Naina hurt... knowing how much Naina trusted on her childhood friend... keeping her away from Kamya is the only solution he has...

Sameer didn't say anything more, but his breath became heavier thinking how she will react when she got to know the real intentions of her best friend on whom she trust blindly... her only relation...

His trance broke hearing her soft voice, "Sorry..."

Sameer looked at her surprisingly when she said looking down, "mujhe aapse aise baat nahin karni chahiye thi... voh dress... uske liye... I am sorry... pata nahin achanak kaise itna gussa aa gaya..."

Sameer asked suddenly, "why were you so angry that time and who told you that I am ashamed of you?" he keenly looked to read her facial expressions... he never thinks in this way ever and pointed out on her...

Naina distressed thinking how will she explain to him the reason... she lowered her eyes and did not notice the expression on his face... she thought he was probably blaming her for talking rudely with him...

Sameer leaving the plate on table, rolled his wheelchair going close to her... he lifted her face and forcibly made her look into his eyes, "it's okay if you don't want to share but believe me, I have no such feelings or regrets like this... you are perfect, infact, more than perfect in all senses... believe me, you don't need to change yourself for anyone... not even for me... ever..." 

He paused for a moment apologizing to her, "in fact Sorry toh mujhe bolna chahiye tumse... subah maine jo bhi kaha, mujhe nahin kehna chahiye tha... believe me I really didn't mean that... in fact, aaj pehli baar iss ghar mein kisi ne mera saath diya, mujhe samjha and I am really thankful to you... its just mein nahin chahta tha ki koi tumhein ilzaam de iss poore incident ke liye... I want you to be away from all this mess..."

Looking down he said remorseful, "mein bohot sharminda hoon ki meri wajah se tum Rocky ke paas gayi aur yeh sab hua but believe me mera aisa koi intention nahin tha... usne jo kuchh bhi tumhare saath kiya..."

She interrupts him in between saying, "aur aapne... uska badla le liya... right?"

Sameer having a scared look on his face, keep staring her... what if she gets angry with him to do this with Rocky... no doubts she is a soft-hearted girl and will never accept such cruel act but how could he leave the person who gave so much pain to his love...

Suddenly she burst into laughter seeing his scared face, "jaise bachche tit for tat khelte hai vaise hi jaise usne mujhe drugs di aapne usey over drugged karwa diya..." he gets relaxed seeing her laughing... at least she is not miffed with him any more...

Sameer smiled, "mujhe laga tum naraaz ho jaaogi but thank god tumne samjha mujhe... mein kuchh bhi maaf kar sakta tha par ek ladki ki izzat par aanch kaise aane deta... tumhein hi nahin Rocky ne kai aur ladkiyon ki zindagi bhi barbaad ki hai... usey iski saza milani hi chahiye thi..."

Naina stops laughing suddenly, looking at him, "sach kahun, aaj pehli baar kisi ne mere liye yeh sab kiya... aapne meri izzat bachane ke liye itna sab kiya, iske liye jitna bhi thanks bolun kam hai... varna toh log apne matlab ke liye kisi ladki ki izzat ko daanv par lagane mein baaz nahin aate... par aap alag hai..." her mind surrounded with a thought of comparing Sameer with Sharad... she trusted Sharad for 6 months but he deceived her whereas Sameer, who had never promised anything to her, always supports in all her ups and downs...

She looked straight into his eyes without blinking, not knowing what was going on... why did she have a feeling that... Sameer seemed to care about her? Was she mistaken? Is this a dream?... not again...

Sameer sits straight rolling himself a step back to avoid any awkwardness between them, when stops seeing her hand on his... she smiled mouthed, "thank you..."

Sameer looked back at her... her words sounded very melodious... seems she valued his words...

Sameer feel delighted hearing her sweet words as finally she accepted her apology also.... looking at her half-eaten food he said, "toh isi baat par please dinner complete kar le... bohot bhukh lagi hai..."

She nodded her head smilingly and they both took their plates back in their hand, finishing it with a peaceful silence in the room...

At this time, there's a knock on the door... Pandit entered smilingly seeing them having their dinner in peace... Naina noticed their exchanging looks as if they were planning something but she avoid asking rather... they are best of friends and might be having lots of topic to discuss in alone... Pandit left out on context of some work leaving them alone...

Sameer breaking the silence, "hmm... Naina, I think we need to spend more time to complete this pending work... but I have an urgent meeting right now which might go for an hour... so you can take some rest for time being here only and will call you once done with my meeting to finish this pending work..."

She feels strange and tried to refuse when he looked her sternly, "no discussion... you please rest here... no one will disturb you here and I will call u later..." saying this he left outside from the lounge area, attached to his cabin, leaving the door closed behind giving her privacy...

Naina felt his behavior strange but feels grateful as she herself was extremely tired and feeling sleepy... she laid down at the couch to take a small nap...

Sameer came out seeing Pandit waiting for him in his cabin... Pandit asked giving a teasing look, "hmm... lagta hai janaab ko maafi mil hi gayi... ab jaakar vahi Muskaan nazar aa rahi thi donon ke chehre par... lekin yaar aise kab tak ghar nahin jaane dega tu ise... Kamya toh lagta hai boriya bistar lekar ghar par dera jama kar baith gayi hai..."

Sameer said with a depressing look, "maafi toh mil gayi, but I don't know yaar aage kya karun... socha tha uske saath time spent karunga, dheere dheere hum ek dusre ko jaanenge, kareeb aayenge par Kamya ne beech mein aakar sab barbaad kar diya... subah itni insult ki thi uski, agar aur koi ladki hoti toh usi waqt vaapas chali jaati, par voh toh poori besharam hai... I don't know jab voh aas paas hoti hai toh ek ajeeb si negative feeling aati hai... pata nahin kab kiske saath kya bura kar de... aur ek Naina hai jise kuchh samajh hi nahin aata... duniyadari se bilkul dur, bas sakbo apni tarah masom aur saaf dil ka samajhti hai... pata nahin kaise Kamya ne usey apni baton mein phasaya hua hai... aur ab hamare pichhe pad gayi hai...."

Pandit laughed slowly, "kya karein tera charm hi kuchh aisa hai... bechari paagal ho gayi hai tere liye aur tu ek nazar utha kar dekhta bhi nahin usko... kitna nirdayi hai na tu..." he said in a teasing tone to have fun...

Sameer replied making pout, "huh... jise dekhna chahiye voh toh dekhti nahin baaki saari duniya ka mujhe kya karna... bas ab toh yeh soch ki kis tarah isey uss draamebaaj se dur rakhe... I am sure subah bhi kuchh toh bakwaas ki thi usne jiski wajah se yeh upset thi... maine puchha bhi toh kuchh nahin bataya... samajh nahin aata iske dil mein hai kya..."

Pandit smiled seeing his concern for her, "dekh itna toh saaf dikhta hai ki dil mein toh tu hi hai, jiska shayad ehsaas bhi nahin usey abhi tak... par haan dimaag mein jis bhutni ne kabza kiya hua hai uska ilaaz dhundhna padega... vaise bhi kehte hai na dil ke aage dimaag ki kabhi nahin chalti..."

Sameer laughed, "uss bhutni ko bhagane ke liye toh kisi jhaadu mantra vale baba ko bulana padega... poori chudail hai, itni aasani se nahin jayegi..." they both laughed commenting on Kamya's weird behavior and finding out ideas how to keep Naina away from her...

After few hours, Naina opened her eyes finding herself alone in lounge... she quickly stands and adjusting her dupatta properly she came out feeling embarrassed on her behavior that how can she sleep in working hours when he might be still working...

She came out and surprised to see Pandit sleeping on couch lying at his cabin in a half-seated position and Sameer, resting his head on his table... they both were looking extremely tired and might have slept after working for so long...

Naina smiled seeing them both, "mujhe pata hai aapne jaan kar mujhe ghar nahin jaane diya... par mere liye khud ko yun takleef dena... pata nahin mein kabhi aapko samajh bhi paaungi ki nahin... ek taraf meri parwaah karna, meri har jarurat ka khayal rakhna aur sabse jyaada mujh par hi gussa karna... so confused..."

Sameer opened his eyes seeing her standing at a distance watching him... she tapped slowly on Pandit's shoulder to awake him...

To avoid her getting suspicious, they worked for some more time finishing their pending work... but with a contented peace in their hearts... no one initiated any further discussion but seems comfortable with each other...

But seeing her tired and sleepy Sameer asked her to wind up for the day... they came down settled in car...

Naina closed her eyes getting tired keeping her head on back rest making her drift into deep slumber instantly... Sameer seeing her sleeping, softly pulled her in his side hug and she rested her head on his chest clutching him tightly in deep sleep...
