Here today's update ... A day before as promised 😊

The moment elevator stops at her floor, she smiled seeing Sameer and Pandit were standing in front of the lift... the moment she stepped out, smile vanished from her face hearing Pandit's voice, "voh Naina, we are going out of town for few days... you take care of yourself... we are getting late... bye" Pandit said nervously, avoiding looking into her eyes... her gaze turned to Sameer, who was looking down in his mobile, ignoring her presence there...

Pandit hurriedly pushed his wheelchair entering elevator avoiding her asking anything back... she keeps looking them in a daze realizing Sameer didn't once looked at her before leaving her alone for few days...

She keeps standing there looking the elevator's glass door closed on her face and moves down... she feels wetness in her eyes feeling hurt of his behavior... she doesn't expect an explanation from him but how can he left suddenly without even looking at her like she has no place in his life... he ignores her again like she is nothing for him, but just an outsider...

Pandit sitting next to him in car gets annoyed, "why did you do this... kitni upset lag rahi thi voh... ek baar aane se pehle baat toh kar leta usase... ab samajh aaya kyun tu uske aane se pehle office se nikalana chahta tha..."

Sameer said looking outside from car window, "I know she is upset but that's the reason I didn't looked at her... uska udaas chehra dekh kar mein jaa bhi nahin pata... mujhe maloom hai voh hurt huyi hogi par usase dur jaana mere liye kitna mushkil hai yeh mein hi janta hoon... mein toh jaana bhi nahin chahta par tu meri sune toh na..." he said giving him an annoyed look for forcing him to go out of station by giving her swear...

Pandit too replied stubbornly having no regret to force him, "sorry par teri koi zid nahin chalegi iss baat mein... I know you don't want to stay without her, but this is important too... well, agar tu chaahe toh hum usey bata dete hai... aur chaahe toh saath le chalte hai... after all there is no harm in telling her all this... vaise bhi agar uski kasam nahin di hoti toh tu kahaan jaane ke liye raazi hone wala tha mere saath itani aasani se..."

Sameer replied instantly, "no ways... tu Naina ko kuchh nahin batayega... you know how much emotional and sensitive she is... now only she started recovering and I can't see her in pain at all... at least not because of me... and promise me until we are 100% sure, you are not going to discuss with any one... not even with Preeti... Naina ko kab aur kaise batana hai yeh mein khud dekh lunga... abhi toh mujhe tension hai ki uske bina yeh do din katenge kaise... aur voh kaise rahegi mere bina... akele"

Pandit feeling sad for his friend didn't ask much and gets busy in handling the other matters as they won't be in city for few days...

Sameer POV

कितना अजीब है ये फलसफा ज़िन्दगी का,

दूरियाँ बताती हैं नजदीकियों की कीमत।

I am sorry Naina... tumhein yun akele chhod kar nahin aana chahta tha... ek pal ke liye tumse dur jaana kitna mushkil hai aur ab yeh kuchh din... pata nahin kaise rahunga tumhare bin aur tum... tum kitni akeli ho jaaogi... kahogi nahin par pata hai mujhe miss karogi... kaash aane se pehle ek baar tumse baat kar paata... tumhein jee bhar ke dekhna chahta tha par maloom tha ki tumhara udaas chehra dekh kar tumse dur nahin jaa paaunga... par iss waqt tumhein saath nahin le ja sakta.. na hi kuchh bata sakta hun.. par yakin karo mera bhi dil tumhare bina nahin lagega... kitna socha tha ki har waqt tumhare saath, tumhare sabse kareeb rahunga par phir ek baar tumhein akele chhod raha hun... pata hai tum naraaz hogi mujhse par wada karta hun waapas aakar saari shikayate dur kar dunga... bas mera intzaar karna aur meri jaan ka achchhe se khayaal rakhna... love you...

Naina went back to her desk feeling sad... now days they are staying close to each other, sharing their feelings, their pains... since morning even after his teasing she was eager to stay close to him, wants to talk to him but he left suddenly... making her more depressed...

She quickly opened his appointment calendar and check no urgent meeting for which he has to go out of station suddenly... she recalled last time when he was not well, he reacted in same way to keep her away from him...

Picking up her mobile she quickly sent a message to Pandit:

Naina : where are you?

Pandit : at Airport... boarding in few minutes... 😰

Naina : are you sure you are going out of station?😡

Pandit : yes... you have doubts?🙄

Naina : don't dare to lie if he is not well... like last time...👿

Pandit : Promise.. it's nothing like that this time... he is absolutely fine... we have some personal work... sorry achanak se program bana toh bata nahin sake... 😥

Naina : are you sure na...😠

Pandit : bilkul sach... and you don't worry about us and take care of yourself... we will be back soon😊

Keeping phone back in his pocket Pandit glared him dangerously, when Sameer said giving an annoyed look, "what? don't give me that look... its all because of you... tujhe Naina ki kasam dekar mujhe yun blackmail nahin karna chahiye tha... usase dur jaaunga toh voh dukhi hogi hi na... it's all your fault"

Pandit replied getting more irritated, "meri wajah se nahin voh teri wajah se pareshaan hai... ek baar baat nahin kar sakta usase... mil kar nahin aaya toh kam se kam ab toh phone toh kar le... yeh kya baat huyi ki ek baar baat ki toh usase dur nahin ja paaunga... itna ziddi kyun hai tu yaar... do din ki baat hi toh hai... she will surely understand..." he keeps blabbering and gets more frustrated seeing him so adamant...

Naina expecting his call keep looking at her phone but feel disappointed, "ek baar baat bhi nahin ki... kahin mujhse koi galti toh nahin huyi... kahin naraaz toh nahin mujhse... I am his assistant, agar jaana tha toh mujhe bhi saath le jaate... hamesha mujhe sapne dikha kar akela chhod dete hai... mein bhi ab phone nahin karungi... Pandit ne kaha hai ki it's something personal... after all its his life and his wish to share his personal matters with me or not... I have no rights to force him..."

एक सिल-सिले की उम्मीद थी जिनसे,
वही फ़ासले बनाते गये।
हम तो पास आने की कोशिश में थे,
ना जाने क्यूँ वो हमसे दूरियाँ बढ़ाते गये।

Wiping her tears, she opened her laptop and start concentrating on her work... in his absence she was totally clueless how to handle his work, but she tried her best to manage... suddenly feeling a tap on her shoulder she turned to see Preeti standing there, "oye madam... lunch nahin karna... kab se tera wait kar rahi thi par tu aayi hi nahin... mujhe abhi pata chala ki Pandit aur Sameer out of station gaye hai... achanak kaise, kuchh jaruri kaam tha kya"

Naina shrugged her shoulder, "I don't know... mujhe bataya hi nahin... bole kuchh urgent personal work hai..."

Preeti smiled naughtily, "huh... toh madam ka mood isliye udaas hai... saath nahin lekar gaye na... chal koi baat nahin jab tak voh log vaapas nahin aate hum akele khoob masti karenge... unhein bata denge ki unke bina bhi hum enjoy kar sakte hai... aur iski shuruaat hum lunch party se karenge..." she said to cheer up her mood knowing how much she must be missing Sameer...

Seeing Sameer's adamancy to not to talk Naina before boarding, Pandit called Preeti and asked her help for taking care of Naina... Preeti scold him for their rude behavior to hurt her friend again and again... after giving a good piece of mind to both Pandit and Sameer, she suppressed her anger and went to meet Naina... even if no one was there with her she will always support her in all circumstances... her soul sister, her hanuman...😘😘

Naina feels bad to deny Preeti's urge to have lunch together though she has left with no appetite to eat anything... but knowing her own health condition and promise she made to Sameer, she stood half-heartedly and left with Preeti for lunch... spending some quality time with her is always her best stress buster... but today its doesn't seems like helping her to handle her messy thoughts... her heart and mind clouded with his memories and feels hurt how he didn't even talk to her before going...

She waited for rest of the day but didn't get any call from Sameer, feeling depressed... seeing time to leave she half-heartedly cleaned up her desk to go back home thinking, "aaj pehli baar unke bina uss ghar mein, uss kamre mein akele rehna hai... pata nahin kaise manage karungi... baat nahin bhi karte the toh aas paas hone se ki ek sukoon milta tha aur aaj achanak yeh duriyaan..."

Taking a deep sigh, she turned to look at his cabin door expecting it to get open suddenly and he will come out with his charming smile, his way of teasing her, but nothing happened... she moved towards the elevator with heavy steps...

Before she pressed the button, elevator open... she surprised seeing Preeti standing inside... Preeti hold her arm pulling inside, "surprise... tujhe kya laga aaj tu akeli rah legi.. no ways... mein tera pichha chhodane wali nahin... iss janam mein toh bilkul bhi nahin" she laughed making her smile too

Naina looked at her in disbelief when she laughed telling her, "aise mat dekh... Pandit ka phone aaya tha aur mujhe official instructions mili hai ki mein aaj tere saath tere ghar par rahun... jab tak voh log vaapas nahin aa jaate tujhe mujhse hi kaam chalana padega... samjhi..."

Naina gets relieved and smiled whole heartedly, "thank god tu rahegi mere saath.. mujhe toh soch soch kar hi darr lag raha tha ki akele kaise rahungi... jitna bada ghar hai utane hi kam log hai... akele toh meri darr ke maare jaan hi nikal jaati... pehli baar akele rehna pad raha tha..."

Preeti smiled teasing her more, "aise kaise teri jaan nikal jaati... aakhir teri jaan toh kisi aur ke paas hifazat se rakhi hai na... tabhi toh teri itni parwah ho rahi hai kisi ko... mujhe sakht warning hai ki tujhe ek minute bhi akela na chhodu... sach yaar, he is so caring for you..." she said encircling her hand around her shoulder...

Naina jerked her hand smiled sarcastically, "hmm... pata hai kitni care hai... ek phone toh kiya nahin gaya aur care karwa lo... sab dikhawa hai... jhuthe kahin ke" she said feeling hurt and decided to not let him forgive this time for his rude behavior again with her...

They came down seeing driver waiting for them already... he opened the door for the girls saying, "Madam, sir ne kaha hai aapko jahaan bhi jaana ho bata dijiyega... I will take you... aap akele kahin nahin jaayengi..." Naina nodded and smiled accepting his service... they told him to take first at Preeti's house to pick up her clothes and then to Maheshwari mansion...

Preeti sitting with her on back seat budged on her arm, "dekha maine kaha tha na ki parwaah hai... par tu bhi naa sirf ek hi track par dimaag chalati hai... he is such a big businessman, might be he doesn't want to make you worry... hoti hai yaar kuchh baatein jo batayi nahin jaati par I am sure nothing harm in this... and see he arrange all your comforts before leaving... dur hokar bhi teri har jarurat ka dhyaan hai, tujhe zara bhi takleef nahin hone de rahe... isn't it his caring side for you"

Naina looked outside hiding her pain, "par Preeti voh rishta hi kya jismein ek dusre se baatein chhupayi jaaye... na bhi batate toh chalta par jaane se pehle ke baar mujhe dekha tak nahin jaise mein vahaan mojud nahin thi... kabhi toh itna apnapan sa lagta hai aur kabhi ek dum se paraya bana dete hai... mujhe yeh sab comfort nahin sirf unka saath chahiye, jo shayad meri kismat mein nahin..."

Preeti understood her pain but smiled for her sake, "tu yeh sab chhod aur bata aaj kya kya karna hai ... I mean itne dinon baad hum donon ek saath, yun akele... khoob masti karenge... poori raat gappe maarenge... party karein"

Naina smiled seeing her concern and care for her... she doesn't want to make her upset knowing how much Preeti loved her... jerking all thoughts, she engrossed herself chatting with her, discussing what all they will do at home to enjoy...

Reaching home, the moment they get down from car, they saw Kamya's driver walking ahead greeting other drivers... which means Kamya is at home at this time... Naina feels uncomfortable as she was already upset for Sameer's sudden change of behavior and she is no more in mood to deal with Kamya alone which hurts her more...

Knowing how much Kamya and Preeti dislikes each other, an argument seems inevitable... taking a deep sigh Naina gets down from car with Preeti hurriedly going inside to avoid anyone when heard the driver's talking each other laughingly...

Kamya's driver, "aaj toh madam ki flight hi miss ho jaati agar hum time par nahin pahunchate... Delhi mein traffic toh roj hi badta ja raha hai aur hamari Madam ka bhi achanak se program ban gaya Mumbai jaane ka dopahar ki flight se... pata nahin yeh bade log kya sochte hai, kya karte hai... kuchh pata hi nahin chalta..." they both laughed and went towards the servant quarters to rest...

Preeti seeing Naina stood rooted at her place, jerked slightly, "oye tujhe ab kya ho gaya... achchha hai na voh fashion ki potli nahin hai yahaan... bekaar mein hamara mood kharaab kar deti..." suddenly she realized and blurt, "Pandit ne kaha tha ki voh log bhi Mumbai ja rahe hai... matlab...?"

Naina looked at her shockingly as she was not even aware of their whereabout... before leaving Pandit just informed that they will be not in town... but where he didn't mention and she was not in position to ask even... she stood rooted for few minutes and lower her eyes saying, "let's go Preeti... mujhe bohot bhukh lagi hai, pehle kuchh khaate hai..." saying this she moved inside followed by Preeti...

Naina showed her house and took her upstairs to their bedroom... Preeti got speechless seeing the mansion which is as equal as a palace... she appreciates the interiors and choice of artwork decorating the house all over...

Naina coming out from washroom told her, "you go and change, mein khaana mangwa leti hoon... koi movie dekhe saath mein..."

Preeti asked surprisingly, "mangwana kyun... hum neeche chalte hai na... sabke saath hi kha lenge..." Naina slowly explained her the norms of their family and how Vishakha doesn't like her much... when Sameer is also not around, she doesn't want to interact with her anymore to avoid any arguments...

Preeti keeping her hand on her shoulder turned to her side, "Naina, ek baat bata... tujhe lagta hai tu ne kabhi kuchh galat kiya hai... ya tu kabhi bhi kisi ko hurt kar sakti hai... ya iss ghar ke reet riwaaz follow karne mein tujhe koi problem hai" Naina shook her head instantly

Preeti smiled, "toh phir kyun darrti hai sabse... maana in logon ke aapas mein relations theek nahin hai, par tu iss ghar ki bahu hai aur Sameer ne khud tujhe saare haq diye hai iss ghar mein rehne ke... toh har kisi ki galat baat manana bhi toh galat hai na... aur hamesha se Sameer hi kyun tujhe bachayenge... tujhe khud inn sab se deal karna aana chahiye na"

Naina nodded her head with a confident smile, "tu fresh ho ja phir neeche chal kar dinner karenge... okay..." 

Preeti smiled naughtily, "yeh huyi na Naina Devi wali baat... mein abhi aayi... vaise mein bhi toh dekhun ki voh aafat ki potli matlab teri so called Rani sahiba cheez kya hai..."

Naina stood there thinking, "Preeti sahi kehti hai... mujhe khud apne liye bolna aana chahiye aur phir Sameerji bhi mujhe kitna support karte hai... unki wajah se hi aaj tak mein iss ghar mein hoon aur Rani Sahiba aur Kamya ki himmat nahin hoti mujhe torture karne ki... yeh ghar mera hai aur koi mujhe iss ghar mein kuchh bhi karne se nahin rok sakta jab tak Sameerji mere saath hai" 

A pleasant smile crept on her lips but soon turned into frown, "par mujhe lekar kyun nahin gaye apne saath... aane do, iss baar batati hoon Naina devi kya cheez hai... huh, bade aaye Mr Secretive Maheshwari..."

Soon Naina and Preeti came down at dining area and servant starts serving them... Naina keep looking at her phone but didn't get any message or call from him... Preeti feels bad seeing her so restless but didn't talk about this as since after their last call, even Pandit's phone is also switched off... they both desperately avoid discussing about Kamya's travelling to Mumbai at the same time of Sameer which can hurt Naina more...

Vishakha entered seeing them both laughing on some joke and enjoying dinner... she fumed with anger as she already warned Naina to not to befriend with a middle-class girl who is an ordinary employee in their company... how can Naina invited her at home without asking for her permission...

Vishakha approaching them asked arrogantly, "Naina, tumne bataya nahin hamare office ki employee ko tum ghar laane wali ho... I mean mujhe laga tumhare friends sirf Kamya ki tarah high class status wale hi honge... ab agar hamare employees bhi ghar aane lage toh hamare status ka kya hoga, bhale hi voh tumhare kitne bhi achchhe dost ban gaye ho" she said eyed to Preeti disgustingly to insult her...

Before Naina replied Preeti said laughing, "arey aunty aapko itna bhi nahin pata ki dosti level dekh kar nahin ki jaati... aur phir har insaan zameen se shuru hokar ek din zameen mein hi mil jaata hai... ab kya bada kya chhota, bas insaan ka dil bada hona chahiye jaise meri Naina ka hai... par yeh bhi sach hai ki har kisi ka dil itna saaf aur sachcha nahin ho sakta... hai na aunty ji" she said dramatically giving her lecture on moral values irritating her more...

Vishakha replied hiding her anger, "yeh sab kitaabi baatein toh aur bhi middle class lagti hai mujhe.... humare ghar mein bachchon ko shuru se hi standard maintain karna sikhaya jaata hai... par Naina ko yeh sab kahaan maloom hoga... aakhir yeh khud bhi toh middleclass family se hai... ab Kamya ko hi dekho... uska taste aur society mein standard kitna high hai... she is so classy like me" she said comparing Naina with Kamya and praising her...

Preeti replied coolly making her more anger, "par aunty jahaan tak mujhe pata hai Kamya has only one friend... that too only Naina... so ideally toh Kamya ne bhi apne standard ke mutabiq dosti nahin ki... aur rahi baat mere yahaan aane ki toh aaj Sameer sir ne khud mujhe invite kiya hai... I mean unhone personally mujhe call karke yahaan stay karne ke liye bulaya hai Naina ke saath... not like others jinko yeh bhi nahin pata ki bina bulaye kisi ke ghar nahin jaana chahiye"

She turned to Naina saying dramatically, "aur pata hai Sameer sir mujhe bol rahe the ki hamare ghar mein na kuchh uninvited guest jabardasti dera jama kar baith gaye hai jisase ghar ka mauhal kharaab ho raha hai... he wants some peace and healthy atmosphere around... isiliye mujhe bulaaya hai... kam se kam ghar mein koi hasega bolega toh... varna kuchh log toh bas ek dusre ka bura sochne mein hi busy rehte hai..."

She turned back to Vishakha, "vaise anuty ek baat kahun... iss umra mein I mean jab aapka budapa aa gaya ho toh insaan ko apne man ko shaant rakhna chahiye... maine suna hai ki achchhe karmo se hi achchha phal milta hai... aur iss dhalti umra mein aap man mein bure vichaar rakhengi toh aapko swarg mein jagah kaise milegi... even it's not good for your health and soul... after all ab aapke bache huye dinon mein achchhe logon ki sangati hi aapko sahi raah dikha sakegi... I am sure agar aap kuchh waqt mere saath rah li toh aaka jeevan dhanya ho jaayega aur aapki aatma ko bhi shanti mil jaayegi" she said giving naughty smile to Vishakha...

Vishakha fumed in anger but remain quiet knowing Sameer himself invited Preeti to stay at home... Vishakha bear this insult as doesn't have any rights to argue on Sameer's decision for her stay... he is anyways not supporting Kamya's stay here and always talk rudely & insult her... even Sameer and Karthik's behavior making it difficult for Vishakha to convince Kamya for Karthik... she turned and left furiously in anger getting insulted by an ordinary employee of their company... 👹👺

Finishing their dinner, they came back to their room... Naina seeing time realized it's too late and feel depressed that Sameer didn't call him till now, shattering all her hopes...

Coming out from washroom, she saw Preeti waiting for her.... they sit in balcony enjoying their coffee, when Preeti asked, "Naina, if you don't mind... I mean tum donon... separate beds..."

Naina nodded slowly looking down, "I told you earlier that we don't have normal relation like husband wife... we are just friends and waiting to complete the contract period..." her eyes dwelled with tears.

Preeti keep her in a soft hug saying, "Naina, meri maan tu Sameer ko bata de ki tere dil mein kya hai... I mean shayad sab theek ho jaaye... kabhi kabhi dil ki baat bol dene se rishtey sudhar bhi toh jaate hai... aur sach kahun jis tarah tum donon ek saath hote ho, ek dusre ki itni care karte ho I can't even believe ki tumhare beech itni duriyaan hai... tu kyun nahin pahal karti iss rishtey ko sudharne ki"

Naina wiping her tear said smiling, "rishtey vahaan sudharate hai jahaan ummid hoti hai... hum kitne bhi achchhe dost ban jaaye par kahin na kahin kami rah hi jaati hai... ek dost aur Jeevan saathi mein farq hota hai... jaise aaj voh mujhe bina bataye, mujhse bina baat kiye chale gaye... jaise mein koi mayane hi nahin rakhti unke liye... meri care karna aur meri jaruraton ka khayal voh ek dost ki tarah karte hai, aur kuchh nahin... isase jyaada ummid karna meri galti hogi..."

Preeti remain quiet as she herself gets confused seeing their tangled relation... at one side the way they behave and care for each other shows them a perfect couple but at other hand their distances speak a lot...

Naina diverting the topic said, "let's go to sleep... it's too late now... mein tujhe guest room dikha deti hoon" she had already asked a servant to clean the guest room next to her's for Preeti... her heart saddened realizing how she will manage to stay alone in this room... its first time since her marriage that she is alone not only at home but in this room also... without him...

Preeti nodded but asked slowly, "Naina, if you don't mind... may I... I mean..." she stammered getting nervous when Naina said giving a naughty wink, "Pandit ke room mein sona hai... yaad aa rahi hai..."

Preeti blushed lowering her eyes... Naina laughed giving a tight hug, "how cute yaar... I mean voh nahin hai toh uska room hi sahi... not bad... aur mujhe laga madam mere saath rehne aayi hai..." she laughed making her feel shy...

Preeti looked at her cutely, "yaar ab aise toh mat bol... sachchi tere liye hi aayi hun but just... par yeh bata mein toh so jaaungi par tujhe neend aayegi na Sameer ke bina..." she teased her back to cheer up her mood...

Naina smiled, "it's okay... I was just joking... mujhe toh achchhe se neend aayegi... you go and sleep well... aur haan sapne mein romance karna mat bhoolna... pata laga vahaan bhi mera bhaai daant kha raha hai" they bid goodbye to each other and Preeti left for Pandit's room to sleep leaving the poor soul alone, missing someone...

किस जगह रख दूँ तेरी याद के चिराग को,
कि रोशन भी रहूँ और हथेली भी ना जले।
