Naina woke up early morning before her usual time being the sun rays directly hitting on her face... she smiled seeing beautiful morning view in front.. she sits back silently praying for her new start... she tried to stand up on her feet but wince with acute pain in her back due to sleeping on floor without even mattress from last two nights...

She stood taking support of adjacent wall avoiding her pain as she has to get dressed and ready before he awakes... she peeked inside and after taking her clothes immediately gets ready to go office with him... wearing a simple printed chiffon saree suitable for her first day in office, if he allows... she gets ready in few minutes with no makeup as usual but still looking extremely pretty...

Naina came out from washroom seeing room empty... to her surprise today he was already awaked early than his usual time and left the room, but where, she doesn't know... she waited for him to come back as planned to discuss and take permission for joining him in office... she think to go and cook breakfast for all but denied assuming he might not like it seeing his last day behavior...

She waited for around an hour when heard him coming inside all dressed up in office wear... she surprised seeing him ready for office but keeping her thoughts aside, she walked to him.... he passed from her ignoring even her presence in the room.... going straight to his study table he gets busy in working on his laptop.... she stood at his back at some distance but didn't courage to call seeing him too much engrossed in work...

After few minutes passed, she shuddered listen his sharp frustrated voice, "now what you want?"... gaining all her strength she tried to reply, "voh... mein... voh... mujhe..." she gets hell nervous unable to frame a single sentence... tiny drops of sweat formed on her forehead realizing how will she work with him in office if unable to even open her mouth in front of him...

He turned suddenly to her with his sharp glare on her, "I heard you are joining me in office from today..." she surprised how did he know but keeping herself calm she nodded her head slowly....

He remain seated there at a short distance giving her deathly glare making her shiver... he asked further, "have you asked me?"

She lift her eyes looking at him getting scared and said slowly, "I was about to ask you last night but..." she stops recalling his anger on her... he keep looking at her beautiful but scared face keenly which turned pale... he turned back and divert his attention back to his work getting again busy in laptop... she stood there but didn't get courage again to ask any more...

She waited for few minutes but seeing no response from him, turned to go out feeling dejected, when his voice stops her, "you can come with me but only as my assistant..." she turned to look at his side when he stare her coldly, "let me make you very clear everything and I don't want to repeat my words..."

He moved towards her making her shivered, "firstly, no one... means no one should know about this shitty marriage in office and outside world... you have to behave simply like an assistant and you will get paid for that like other employees of my company.... understood... and never ever tried to behave like my wife... " she nodded her head and getting relieved from inside that at least he agreed to take her along with him... for the time being this was more than enough for her to deal with...

She turned to go when he stops her again, "are you going to office like this..." he said giving a irritating look to her..... "don't you have some decent clothes to wear... or you want to seduce my staff wearing such saree showing your half naked body..." she stir with his sharp tone and allegation but remain quiet as aware what he thinks about her...

She looked down fidgeting her hands, "I will change..." she turned to go inside when he said again, "no need to do all this drama of being a sati Savitri kind of... remove this sindoor and mangalsutra if you want to come... otherwise I would love not to see your damn face in office..." she looked him with damp eyes as again history repeats for her....

Earlier to plot against her Sharad asked her not to put sindoor and now with so much hatred he also warned her not to do any rituals as a married one... but seeing his cold response, not affected with her tears, she wiped her tears and left towards washroom taking her dress to change...

Sameer seeing her going inside feel bad to hurt her and got irritated, "office jaana hai toh saree kyun pehanani hai... itni sundar lag rahi hai ki sab isey hi dekhenge... itni si baat samajh nahin aati... agar sindoor lagayegi toh log sawaal karenge aur mein nahin chahta ki kisi ko iss shaadi ka pata chale... mein nahin chahta ki jab hum alag ho toh log iss par sawaal uthaye... yeh shaadi sabse chhupi rahe isi mein Naina ki bhalaai hai... uski aane wali zindagi mein mushkile kam hogi..."

Closing the door behind she sits back on floor keeping her hand on her mouth to avoid her sobs listened by anyone... not by him... she sits there to calm herself for some time and stood to change as don't want to get late on her first day... splashing some cold water on her face she wiped and quickly changed into her old dresses wearing simple suit with dupatta covering herself completely... removing extra sindoor she tied her hair in a tight braid... unwillingly she removed her mangalsutra too and keep it in her bag, "pehen nahin sakti par saath toh rakh sakti hun... isey mein kabhi apne se dur nahin karungi... par ummid karti hoon ek din aap khud isey apne haathon se mujhe pehnayenge... voh din jaroor aayega yeh mera apne aap se waada hai.."

Naina came out from washroom with slightly puffed eyes seeing empty room... thinking he must be at breakfast she rushed to go downstairs... suddenly her head starts spinning and feeling dizzy she sits back on the chair... it took her few minutes to get her senses back... she drink a glass of cold water and calm herself to go down... going down she quickly make a trip to  kitchen and packed something to eat for herself as left with no time to have breakfast with others and went out...

Till she came out no one was there on breakfast table... she enquired from servant who inform that everyone has left for their work after completing breakfast...

She rushed to go out expecting he must be waiting for her but nobody was there... a guard came to her giving a visiting card, "yeh Pandit sir ne aapko dene ke liye kaha hai... aapko iss address par jaana hai..."

She took the card feeling dejected seeing the address of Maheshwari's head office and after enquiring the route from the guard she left... taking a bus from nearby bus stand she reached office in half an hour time... her thoughts keep haunting her, "am I not even eligible to sit with him in car... at least aaj mera pehla din tha office mein... samajh nahin aa raha ki kaise samjhaau ki inn sab mein meri koi galti nahin... kuchh bhi kahungi toh mere mummy papa ko hi galat samjha jayega.. I hope mein sab sambhal sakun bina kisi ka dil dukhaye..."

Reaching office, she move towards the elevator to go on 15th floor where his office is but guards stop her, "Sorry maa'm... no one is allowed to go on this floor... no visitor or no staff is allowed... its only for our CEO and his subordinates... you can go to that floor if only you have permission..."

She handed him Pandit's card and after checking with him on intercom they allowed her to go there... she took the elevator and reached at his office... the whole floor was designed as per modern technology, elegant and unique... there was a huge conference room on her left side and arrow shows her CEO office to her right side... she came out surprisingly as no one was seen on the entire floor... she turned to go towards CEO cabin when someone called her from back.. "Ma'am... wait..."

She stops there and turned to see Pandit coming to her side... he guided her straight to her desk which was outside at his cabin but at a decent distance... "this is your work station... you will sit here.." he handed her the joining letter mentioning the probation period of six months ... 

She was well aware of this rule for all new joiners in any company as it was same as her previous company where she worked almost for one year... she signed the documents and handed him back...

Pandit pointing towards a cabin at her right side said, "and that one is our CEO office... you will only report to him... but mind it, until he calls you, don't go near his cabin even... if he wants he will call you for work at intercom..." he left without looking back at her again...

She sits back and bring out the small idol of Kanhaji from her bag and placed it on her workstation... taking her blessing she opened her laptop.... a chit was stick on the keyboard with her login credentials... she smiled thinking, "so he has prepared everything in advance for me... not a bad start..."

She turned to look around but seeing the entire floor empty she got confused, "yahaan toh koi nahin dikh raha... saara din akele kaam karna padega... yahaan sab kitna ajeeb hai na bilkul inki hi tarah..." she picked up the company brochure lying on her table to read out... the whole lay-out of building was shown with the floors details of each department, canteen..

She had worked earlier also but that was a small company with limited number of staffs... but this one was different... a complete building of multiple floors are only for Maheshwari group of Companies... so many divisions, departments.... huge cafeterias at each floor, big conference rooms... and a complete floor only for CEO... strange... seems like completely a new world for her...

She smiled thinking, "pehle kitni baar iss company ka naam suna tha, par pata nahin tha ki kabhi yahaan kaam karne ka mauka milega... zindagi do din mein hi kitani badal gayi... achchha ya bura pata nahin... par ab jo bhi hai yahi hai... poora man laga kar kaam karungi taaki kisi ko shikayat ka mauka na mile... Chhote Kunwar se jitna possible hoga dur hi rahungi... hum donon ke liye yahi achchha rahega... shayad thode din mein mera kaam dekh kar unka gussa thoda shaant ho jaaye.. shayad phir meri baat thande dimaag se sun paayenge... bhagwanji tab tak mujhe unke prakop se bacha kar rakhna... please..." she make a cute pout requesting to Kanhaji to save her from his wrath...

Soon Pandit came and handed her few files, "go through this file and arrange the documents in order... meeting is about to start in half an hour... before that show this file to Sameer so that he can check everything before meeting and do changes if required... don't get late..." before she asked anything more from him he went back to CEO cabin...

Pandit coming back to his cabin inform him, "maine Ms Agarwal ko unka desk aur kaam bata diya hai..."

Sameer didn't respond to him keep focusing on his work when Pandit asked suddenly, "I am still surprised that why you listen to Rani Sahiba... I mean you could have straight away refused to take her office along with you... and you appointed her as your assistant... what are you planning of..?" he asked curiously as Sameer's behavior is confusing him more.. one side he doesn't even want to see her face and now he allowed her to be in his office as his assistant... totally confused...

Sameer still remain silent thinking in his mind, "I can't let her leave at home alone with them... I don't know why but I really want her to be around me... even though I am not clear about her real intentions to be in this marriage but somehow I feel so much connected with her... I behave rudely with her so that she can leave me but don't know why she is so much adamant to stay with me... let's see where destiny took us... shayad saath rehne se hi kuchh uljhane sulajh jaaye..."

Naina studied all the files and quickly arranged the documents in a proper manner... she prepare a short summary report for quick review... clipping everything neatly in a separate folder, she sits back confusingly, "ab yeh deni kisko hai yeh toh bataya hi nahin... kis se puchhu yeh Sameer kaun hai... yahaan iss floor par toh koi hai hi nahin... aisa lagta hai jaise jungle mein sher akele ghoom raha ho... aur mein bechari nanhi si jaan, uski favorite shikaar..." she chuckled on her thought considering him as jungle king... who was ready to eat her any time...

She had seen Pandit going inside cabin so decided to go and check with him only.... she stood while re-checking the documents ensuring no mistakes in her first work and knocked the door... her eyes were glued to the file in hand checking all details last time... she entered after hearing permission to go in...

She pushed the door open then walked in... she lift her eyes to see him sitting on the other side of a big table right in front of her.... his cabin was extremely huge with an attached lounge area... a big couch was placed at the corner with a table and a big French window on his left side... the walls were decorated with exclusive paintings and at one side a shelf was placed carrying all awards and achievements of Maheshwari Industries...

She keep standing near the door looking around the cabin when heard a harsh voice, "are you here for picnic to waste my time or really interested to do some work also..." taking a step inside, she looked at Pandit who was standing closely leaning to him, showing some files in hand....

Naina avoiding his deathly glares on her asked cutely to Pandit, "voh.. sorry to disturb you... actually, you asked me to give this file to Sameer... can you please guide me where I can find him... I haven't seen anyone in this floor..." 

Sameer and Pandit looked at her amazingly when turning his gaze towards laptop Sameer instruct her in a harsh tone, "get out from my cabin and come back again..." he almost shouts making her shiver...

She looked him surprisingly, "huh..." without giving a glance to her he shouts again, "are you blind or deaf... I said just get out and come back..." he said last line gritting his teeth in anger...

Finding no reason of his sudden anger she nodded her head confusingly and went outside closing the door behind... taking a deep breath she looked at his cabin door and about to knock when read the name plate, "Mr Sameer Maheshwari – CEO.."

Her jaw dropped in surprise, realizing her folly, "oh shit... how stupid I am... what will I answer him that after getting married to him from last two days, I didn't even know his name... no... no.. I can't face him any more..." she rushed back to her seat, panting heavily... tiny drops of sweat formed on her forehead getting hell nervous...

She keep mumbling and cursing herself to be so stupid, "Kanhaji bachalo mujh gareeb ko... pehle hi kya kam gussa hote hai, aaj toh pakka khaa hi jayenge mujhe... voh bhi bina fry kiye.... kahaan phansa diya aapne, ab kya karun... mein nahin jaane wali unke cabin mein vaapas bhale hi kuchh bhi ho jaaye... agar andar gayi toh pakka zinda nahin aaungi vaapas... voh jo badi si window hai na, usase baahar phenk denge mujhe... puchhenge toh kya bolungi ki mujhe unka naam bhi nahin pata tha..." she remain seated there holding her head in her hands talking non-stop to herself...

She shuddered with the harsh tone behind her, "are you done talking to yourself... I don't think you are really interested in doing some wok... or you are here just to waste everyone's time..." she turned to see him sitting at a few steps away from him with Pandit standing at his side... she stood lowering her head mumbled, "sorry... voh... Samee..."

He stopped her in between shouting on her, "don't you dare to call me by my name... for you I am your boss in office and... to be more precise nothing outside the office... so be in your limits..."

She nodded her head and forward the file in a soft but firm tone, "I completed the work... please check it Mr Maheshwari..." Pandit took the file from her hand and handed to Sameer...

He keenly look into the file and quite impressed but didn't show her up in front... he turned back to go in conference room for meeting when she called him from back, "can I join you in meeting... I mean... as your assistant..." he turned to look at her but she stands there adamantly to join him in meeting...

He asked sarcastically, "you really want to join me as my assistant... fine... come... but dare to utter a single word in meeting room..." Pandit went with him to the conference room on their floor itself followed by her...

They entered in meeting room seeing all were settled in their places.. all were shocked to see her as never they had seen any girl around him... he always maintain a decent distance with girls even with the business associates and seems a very cold-hearted person... he never gelled up with anyone around in office... not even with staff...

Being an introvert and ruthless person, he always occupied himself in business and work... he always avoid media attention and that's the results that no one is fully aware of his presence and familiar with him even their own employees too... for all he seems to be a mysterious person...

Sameer joined business after his father's demise... for long two years Karthik handled the business but not having much interest and business acumen, he lacked in his performance... then Sameer took over the position and soon their company make record breaking progress... from last 5 years he was leading the Maheshwari Empire and no one can beat his business intelligence and foresight... at present Karthik was working as a Board of Director under him only...

After a formal greeting, they initiate the meeting when Sameer ordered, "get the printout of same document for all attendees...." she turned to go out when heard his sharp tone, "5 minutes..."

She nodded and rushed out.. giving a print out for 20 people sitting inside the room she quickly arrange and came back within the given time limit panting heavily... she handed the documents to all with a pleasing smile... Karthik was shocked to look at her doing this job and about to stop her but seeing Sameer's anger towards her remain quiet...

The moment she came back standing at his back getting tired, he said in a low but sharp voice, "get coffee for all..."

She had worked earlier in a company and always excelled in her performance... she was expecting the same kind of profile but degraded by him on her first day itself in front of entire management... as expected...

She took a deep sigh and left outside to get coffee for everyone present there.... all were looking her in surprise, even Karthik too... giving document can still be an assistant job but serving coffee is more of humiliating for her as daughter-in-law of Maheshwari's... but luckily no one was aware of her true identity and consider her as an assistant only except Karthik and Pandit...

Coming back in conference room she placed the coffee in front of him and then serves to all... he took a sip and put it back on table, "it's too sweet... get another one..."

She looked him surprisingly and left to get another one... rest all the members like the coffee made by her and get surprised on his behavior more... though he is introvert but never behave so much rudely with anyone without any reason...

Naina came back with another coffee for him but he again remarked, "bitter... another one..."

Two... three... four...

She keep getting the coffee one after another and he keep refusing finding mistakes... she understood why he suddenly agreed her to accompany him in meeting room... he wants to humiliate her...

Without losing her temper she left again to get the 10th cup of coffee for him... she came back realizing the meeting ended and everyone left... she collect all cups and placed it back in the pantry....

Coming back to her seat after making countless number of coffee for him, she feels dizzy... she realized that she has skipped her dinner last night and breakfast also in morning as she was getting late... she hold her head in her hands and planned to have food which she packed for herself in morning when suddenly her intercom buzzed... she picked up the phone getting a harsh tone from other side, "come inside..."
