My superhero Papa

Naina's eyes were fixed on Sameer's, an unsettling silence hanging between them. It was the eerie calm before a raging storm. Her quiet demeanor made him fearful of the storm of anger brewing within her.

Sameer could sense the intensity of her emotions, the unspoken words simmering just beneath the surface. He braced himself, knowing that the confrontation was inevitable and that they would have to face the consequences of their secrets and choices.

The atmosphere between them was thick with tension, each second stretching into eternity as they prepared for the inevitable clash.

"Yeh... matlab aap... mein... kaise..." Her lips trembled with the revelation, leaving her unable to form a coherent thought. The weight of the truth pressed down on her, making it hard to articulate her swirling emotions.

Sameer pressed his palms over her trembling hands, and brought them towards himself, "haan Naina... yahi sach hai... voh sach jisne tumhari duniya badal di thi aur kismat ne humein ek aise bandhan mein bandh diya tha jo humein pata bhi nahin thi... isey Sanjog kahun ya kismat ka khel, pata nahin... lekin itna pata hai ki meri zindagi ki har kami, har sapna, har ehsaas sirf tumse juda hai... you make me complete..." their journey had been filled with secrets and revelations and each step bringing them closer to understanding and healing.

Seeing her still so numb, he gently pulled her into his embrace, resting her head on his chest and caressing her back to soothe her. "Uss raat uss ladki ki jagah tum vahaan pahunchi thi... shayad kisi nurse ki galti se uss din OT mein tum hi thi jisey Munna ne operate kiya tha... uss raat Munna bohot jaldi mein tha kyunki usey vaapas London pahunchana tha Pooja didi ke liye aur Pandit toofani raat ki wajah se late ho gaya tha... shuru se jis ladki ko humne surrogacy ke liye select kiya tha usase saari dealing sirf Pandit ne ki thi aur Pandit ke alaawa usey koi aur nahin jaanta tha... isliye Munna ne tumhein voh ladki samajh kar procedure kar diya..."

His voice was filled with a mix of regret and determination as he explained the series of events that led to the mix-up. The weight of the revelation hung heavily between them, but his comforting touch and soothing words helped to ease her shock and confusion.

"Munna kabhi tumse mila nahin tha aur na hi maine aur Pandit ne kabhi tumhari tasveer usey dikhayi thi... infact usey toh shuru mein hamari shaadi ke baare mein bhi kuchh pata nahin tha... tumhare jaane ke ek saal baad Munna India vaapas aaya tab humne usey tumhare baare mein bataya... hum doston ne pehli baar koi itani badi baat ek dusre se chhupayi thi isliye shuru mein Munna mujhse bohot naraaz bhi hua lekin jab usne hamare haalat samjhe toh maan gaya... maine usey tumhare baare mein sab kuchh bataya, ki tum hi meri dream girl thi jisey voh aur Pandit kab se dhundhna chahte the... kaise aur kin haalaton mein hamari shaadi huyi aur uske baad kaise Dheere Dheere hum paas aaye... voh tumse mil toh nahin paaya tha lekin sab kuchh jaanta tha tumhare baare mein... isliye maine bhi usase waada kiya ki jab bhi tumhein usase milwaunga face to face hi milwaunga aur tumhein dekh kar uske hosh udd jayenge..."

He chuckled slowly, "aur dekho, sach mein tumhein dekh kar uske hosh kya tote kabutar sab udd gaye... aur tum ne usey uda kar seedha police station pahuncha diya..." he said making her smile a bit realizing how a simple misunderstanding had led them to an awkward yet hilarious situation—one they would both remember fondly in the future.

Sameer lifted her face said looking into her eyes, "usne jab market mein tumhein dekha toh usey laga jaise usne tumhein kahin dekha hai... bas isiliye voh tumhare paas aaya tha lekin tum donon ki baat hone ji jagah tumhein galatfahmi ho gayi... even I was also surprise ki jab se maine usey police se release karwaya tha voh tumse dobara milne ki zid kar raha tha... maine mana bhi kiya toh voh nahin maan raha tha... I think he just wanted to make sure you are the same girl before telling me... but see, destiny ne usey seedha tumhare ghar mein hi pahuncha diya... aur isase pehle voh mujhe kuchh batata tum phir se ek baar uske saamne aa gayi... aur iss baar shayad usey koi galatfahmi nahin huyi... infact he was damn sure that you were the same girl..."

Naina's mind wandered to the thoughts that had always left her in doubt—those moments when she had noticed Nehu's resemblance and habits mirroring those of Sameer. The little quirks, the way Nehu smiled, and even the way she spoke sometimes—it all seemed so familiar.

Her silky hair, so much like his... her favourite food, her favourite sports—no, not just hers, but their favourites. And the name she cherished most, of course, because it was given by her beloved Papa.

As these memories flooded back, Naina's heart raced. The pieces of the puzzle were finally coming together, and the realization was both overwhelming and enlightening. She looked at Sameer, her eyes filled with a mix of emotions, trying to process the truth that had been hidden for so long.

She couldn't help but feel grateful for the affection he had for Nehu, a love that had only grown stronger with the realization of their biological connection. The depth of his commitment to Nehu, even before knowing the full truth, was a testament to the kind of person Sameer was.

Naina lowered her eyes, a wave of guilt washing over her, "I wish agar maine aapko pehle apni pregnancy ka sach bata diya hota toh Nehu itane saal aapke pyaar se dur nahin rehti... voh bhi bachpan se apne Papa ke saath hoti aur naa hi aapko itane saal hum donon se dur rehna padta..." if the revelation had startled her before, hearing the truth from his own lips overturned her entire world.

Minutes stretched into what felt like an eternity as silence enveloped them, each lost in the tangled web of their past.

Taking a deep sigh she said, "kismat ne shuru se hi humse kaisa majaak kiya hai... humein ek bandhan mein baandh kar bhi ek dusre se alag rakha... hamari pehli mulaqat adhuri rahi kyunki mein aapse mil hi nahin paayi, na hi aapko dekha... aur phir hamari shaadi... jisne humein paas toh laaya lekin dilon ko paas laane mein bohot waqt laga... aap na chahte huye bhi mujhse naraaj rehne ka dikhawa karte rahe aur mein sirf hamari shaadi ko nibhane ki koshishe..."

She mocked laughing on her destiny, "log kehte hai ki pati patni aur najdeek aa jaate hai jab unhein pata chalta hai ki voh maa baap banana wale hai... aur hum... hum donon hi meri pregnancy ki news par khush hone ki jagah shocked aur dishearten the... na mujhe samajh aa raha tha ki kaise believe karun iss unexpected shocking news par... aur aap ko laga ki maine aapko dhokha diya tha... jab ki dhokha toh hum donon ke saath kismat ne kiya tha... ya yun kahun ki shayad yeh hamara imtihaan tha, jis mein hum donon hi fail ho gaye..." her eyes filled with emotion as she thought about how much more precious it could have been if they had known about her pregnancy. Rather than being surprised, they could have joined her in cherishing the moment.

Sameer was at a loss for words. Remorse washed over him as he recalled the early days when he had made her so uncomfortable and punished her for mistakes she hadn't committed. Even though he believed he was doing it for her own good, he now realized that, had he been kinder, she might have felt more at ease to share her deepest secret.

Sameer POV

Pehli jhalak se Naina mere dil, meri rooh mein bas gayi thi phir bhi maine usey kitna sataya... maana mein hamesha se uska bhala chahta tha lekin hamari pehli mulaqat se maine usey apne se dur karne ke liye kya kuchh nahin kiya... uske saath kitna bura bartaav kiya, uske masoom dil ko kitni chot pahunchayi... lekin phir bhi usne meri... nahin hamari beti ke liye kya kuchh nahin saha... yahaan tak ki mere taane bhi sahe...

Angel ko anjaane hi maine dil se apna liya tha lekin kabhi khul kar Naina se nahin kah paaya... meri wajah se usey kitani insecurity thi ki ek chhoti si galatfahmi se bhi darr gayi aur mujhe chhod kar chali gayi... yeh sab hota hi nahin agar maine pehle din hi Naina ko apna liya hota, usey apne dil mein chhupe pyaar ke baare mein bata diya hota... anjaane mein hi sahi lekin maine hi Naina ko majboor kiya tha abortion ke liye... mein dil se chahta tha ki Naina meri aur meri family wealth ki jagah baby ko chune lekin uska intihaan lene ke liye maine hi Naina ko abortion ki option di thi... voh akeli aur majboor thi bina kisi support ke, phir bhi maine socha nahin itani badi baat kehne se pehle ki agar galti se Naina emotional hokar yeh faisla le leti toh kya hota... agar uss din mein sahi waqt par nursing home nahin pahunchta toh hamari Angel ka kya hota...

Naina's soft touch takes him back to realization, feeling regret well up inside him, "I am sorry Naina, lekin yakeen maano maine kabhi nahin chaaha tha ki tum abortion karwaao... bas tumhari pregnancy ka achanak se pata chalne ki wajah se mein thoda gussa ho gaya tha lekin baad mein mujhe ehsaas hua ki maine tumhare saath kitna galat kiya tha... in fact mein toh chahta tha ki tum mujhse lado, mujhse kaho ki tum abortion nahin karwaogi... aur jab mujhe pata chala ki tum kisi anjaane nursing home gayi ho toh mein sach mein bohot darr gaya tha..." he keep narrating her how he was so scared after knowing that she had gone for abortion to get rid of baby because of his pressure.

Later, he thanked the almighty for allowing him to arrive in time and save both her and the baby's lives. He felt an immense sense of relief and happiness to learn that Naina had never intended to commit this atrocious act. She had been struggling to escape from the nursing home, desperately pleading with the doctor, who, unfortunately, ignored her pleas due to Kamya's instructions. This revelation filled him with gratitude and a deeper understanding of Naina's plight.

"Maine kabhi tumse nahin kaha lekin mein sach mein Angel se bohot pyaar karta tha... isliye nahin ki mujhe pata tha ki voh meri beti hai lekin isliye ki voh tumse judi thi... ek ankaha, anjaana sa rishta ban gaya tha hum donon ke beech mein... lagta tha jaise pehli baar sahi maayne mein mujhe mera poora pariwaar mil gaya ho... mein tum, Nanu and hamari Angel... mein sach mein khush tha aur isiliye maine voh function plan kiya tha jahaan mein tumhein saari duniya ke saamne accept karke hamare baby ke aane ki khabar announce karne wala tha... lekin kismat ne mujhe mauka hi nahin diya apni galti sudharne ka..." he paused for a moment still feeling guilty as his impulsive behaviour has ruined the best moments of their life.

"Mein apne aane wale bachche ko duniya ki saari khushiyaan, usey uska poora haq dena chahta tha, jo mujhe mere bachpan mein nahin mila... uske Mummy aur Papa ka pyaar dena chahta tha, ek aisi secure zindagi jahaan usey koi dukh, koi takleef na chhu paaye..." more tears streaming out of his eyes in guilt.

An indescribable feeling washed over him. The moment he felt his Angel, an overwhelming sense of certainty swept through him—as if his intuition was whispering that this child was undoubtedly his. It was a deep, unspoken connection that he could feel with every fiber of his being.

Due to that devastating misunderstanding, he lost five precious years of his daughter's life. He missed the incredible moment when she first kicked in the womb and the miracle of her birth. He wasn't there to welcome her, to hold her tiny hands, or to feel the heartbeat of the new life they had created together. He missed every chance to cradle her in his arms whenever she cried. He missed hearing her say "Mom" for the first time, her first words, her first steps. He never got the opportunity to teach her to call him "Papa." As a tear rolled down his cheek, it pierced Naina's heart with an agonizing pain.

With a voice quivering with emotion, he confessed, "I didn't get the chance to be there for her, to watch her grow, teach her how to walk, or play with her. I wasn't there to stay up all night when she wasn't feeling well. I missed comforting her the first time she was scared or sick," tears streaming down his face as he spoke.

He took a deep breath and, with a sarcastic smile, said, "Destiny snatched those tiny yet biggest happiness away from me... maybe this was my punishment for hurting your innocent heart." hearing those words, it felt as though a sharp knife had pierced Naina's heart. She couldn't deny that it was partly her fault for not revealing the whole truth to him, which only deepened the misunderstandings between them.

But it was becoming increasingly difficult for her to console Sameer, assuring him that what had happened was no one's fault. It was destiny that had played a miraculous joke on all of them. For the first time, she found herself at a loss for words, unsure of how to console him.

Sameer suddenly shook his head in frustration, "How... how will I face my Angel... when she finds out how much wrong her Papa did to her Mumma... she... she will never forgive me... I will never be able to earn her love..." His voice trembled with panic as he imagined Angel's reaction upon learning the truth. The realization that he had once, even if unintentionally, forced Naina towards an abortion weighed heavily on him.

Naina tenderly cupped his face in her hands and gently lifted it, her touch filled with love and sorrow. Her eyes searched his, trying to convey all the unspoken words and emotions that lay between them, "Sameer, aap please aisa mat sochiye... aapne jo bhi kiya usmein aapki koi galti nahin thi... aap ke liye bhi mer pregnancy ki sudden news ko accept karna mushkil tha lekin phir bhi aapne hi mujhe har kadam par sambhala... meri har jarurat ka khyaal rakha, mujhe har musibat se bachaya... voh bhi tab jab humein pata bhi nahin tha ki Angel se aapka rishta kya hai..." She gently tried to console him, hoping to lift him out of his guilt. Her touch was tender and her voice soft, filled with love and compassion, as she whispered words of reassurance, trying to mend the broken pieces of his heart.

Sameer's voice trembled, overwhelmed by his emotions. "No, Naina... I may have been ignorant, but in my attempt to hide my pain, in my anger, I caused you unimaginable suffering. It was you who, despite enduring so much, never gave up. You bore everything alone for our Angel, without any support. You stood strong, protecting her like both a mother and a father. You even made the heart-wrenching decision to distance yourself from me to ensure her safety, not even knowing whose child Angel was...".

He continued, "aaj sochata hoon toh, I feel so insignificant... I realize I have done nothing for Angel... you, Naina, have been her everything... you deserve all the love and respect in the world for the sacrifices you've made, and here I am, feeling utterly unworthy..." tears streamed down his face, his heart aching with the weight of his guilt and remorse.

Naina gently cupped his tear-streaked face in her palms, "Sameer, galtiyaan toh hum sab se hoti hain, aur yeh insaan hone ka ek hissa hai... aapka guilt dikhata hai ki aap kitni parvaah karte ho, jo ek dayalu aur samvedansheel dil ki nishani hai... hum apne ateet ko badal nahi sakte, lekin hum usse seekh sakte hain... hum donon ke dilon mein itna pyaar hone ke bawajood, humne ek dusre par bharosa nahi kiya, aur yahi hamari sabse badi galti thi jo hamare rishte ko kamzor bana gayi... ab humein milkar aage badhna hai, apne pyar ko majboot karna hai, aur apni Angel ke saath ek nayi shuruaat karni hai..." her words carried the warmth of hope and the promise of a stronger bond, soothing the ache in Sameer's heart.

"aur mat bhuliye ki aapse anjaan, aapse dur rahkar bhi aapki Angel sirf aapki hi beti thi... maine kabhi kisi se nahin kaha lekin mein hamesha se chahti thi ki Angel sirf aapko Papa kahe... aapse usko jodne ke liye hi maine uska naam bhi Maa ke naam par rakha tha... shayad uss waqt mein galat thi lekin ab sochti hoon toh lagta hai jaise yahi hamari niyati thi... yahi voh kadiyaan thi jo aapko Angel se jod rahi thi... aur phir uske Papa ka voh pyaar bhari lori jisko sunkar voh sukoon se so jaati thi... bachpan se bachche apni Maa se lori sun kar sote hai lekin Angel apne Papa ki awaaj... toh huye na aap donon ek dusre ke paas... aur ab toh sahi maayne mein hum donon ko apna farz poora karna hai... apni Angel ko ek pyaar bhara pariwaar dekar..."she smiled looking into his eyes encouraging him to focus on the future and the positive things they can do moving forward. This can help him to feel understood, supported, and motivated to let go of his guilt.

Their emotional trance was suddenly broken by the sweetest sound they had both longed to hear. "Mumma... Papa..." Their little bundle of joy came running through the main door, shouting for her beloved parents. The sight of their daughter filled their hearts with overwhelming love and joy, as tears of happiness mingled with those of sorrow, bringing a profound sense of completeness to their reunited family.

Angel came running inside, followed closely by the guards and nurse sent by Swati. Her cheerful voice echoed through the room, catching everyone's attention. Munna emerged from his room, and upon seeing her at the door, gazing at her parents and attempting to smile despite their sombre expressions, he felt a wave of emotion wash over him.

The sight of their beloved daughter, trying to bring joy despite the heaviness in the air, was almost too much for Sameer and Naina. Overwhelmed with guilt and shock from the recent revelations, they found themselves momentarily unable to think or react. The room was filled with a mix of emotions, but Angel's innocent presence brought a glimmer of hope and a reminder of the love that still bound them together.

Sameer spread his arms, nodding his head, and gestured for Angel to come closer. Angel, seeing her father's teary face, was shocked. She had always seen him happy and laughing with her. Her mother also had an unusual expression, even though she was smiling at her amidst her wet eyes.

Angel looked at her parents with a mix of emotions, but when she saw her father's outstretched arms, she couldn't resist. She rushed into his embrace. Sameer immediately pulled her close, holding her tightly as if he feared she might disappear if he let go. Angel wrapped her tiny arms around his neck, offering a heartwarming relief to his guilty, unsettled heart.

Naina's eyes brimmed with tears as she watched the touching bond between father and daughter. Overwhelmed by the heartfelt scene, she leaned ahead and wrapped her arms around them both, enveloping her family in a warm, loving embrace.

In that moment, their shared pain and guilt began to melt away, replaced by the profound love and unity that now held them together. The family hug brought a sense of healing and completeness that they had longed for, strengthening their bond and filling their hearts with hope for the future.

The warmth of their embrace brought a profound sense of healing and connection, as they found solace in each other's presence. The past pains and misunderstandings seemed to fade, replaced by the love and unity that now bound them together.

Munna's eyes brimmed with unshed tears as he watched the heart-wrenching yet heartwarming reunion of his friend's family. He had known Sameer since childhood, understanding the immense challenges and emotional struggles Sameer had faced throughout his life. Seeing his friend now, holding his daughter and wife in a loving embrace, was a moment Munna had long prayed for.

As he wiped his tears away, a deep, heartfelt smile spread across his face. Gratitude filled his heart as he silently thanked the Almighty for blessing Sameer with a complete, loving family. This was the moment Sameer had yearned for, a family he could cherish and call his own for a lifetime. The sight of their bond, forged through pain and strengthened by love, filled Munna with an overwhelming sense of relief and joy. He felt a profound sense of peace, knowing that his dear friend had finally found the happiness and fulfilment he deserved.

Even though Angel was nestled safely in her parents' arms, she sensed something was off in their demeanour. She pulled back slightly and glanced at each of them in turn, her innocent eyes searching for answers. Her parents' faces were filled with a mix of relief and sorrow, emotions she couldn't quite understand. Then, her gaze shifted to a stranger who stood nearby, looking at her with a warm, affectionate smile. This stranger seemed familiar, yet unknown, adding to her confusion. Angel's heart felt a strange mixture of comfort and unease, as she tried to comprehend the emotions swirling around her.

Angel glanced at Naina and asked softly, "Mumma, can I talk with Papa... alone?" Despite having spent her entire life with her mother, she had seen her cry sometimes without understanding the reason behind her sadness. Being just five years old, she couldn't grasp the depth of her mother's pain. But since the day she met her beloved Papa, she had felt an instant connection with him.

The recent changes, the sorrowful eyes, and the tension in the air all confused her. She didn't want to see her parents hurting. Even in her young mind, she knew something significant had happened, something that was making her beloved parents so sad. With a strength beyond her years, she wanted to confront this sadness, to ask her Papa why everything had changed. She hoped that talking to him might bring back the happiness she missed seeing in their eyes. Her small, brave heart longed to heal the invisible wounds she sensed around her.

Naina couldn't refuse her daughter's heartfelt request. She nodded gently, "Sure, baby... mein aur uncle baahar hain..." With that, she stepped out with Munna, leaving the room to give them the privacy they needed. She understood that in Sameer's current emotional state, it was only their Angel who could bring him the solace he so desperately needed.

As she left the room, her heart ached with a mix of hope and worry. She knew that their daughter had a unique way of connecting with Sameer, a bond that could heal wounds words alone could not. Trusting in their little girl's innocence and love, Naina hoped that this moment would bring the first steps of healing to their fractured family.

Sameer couldn't take his eyes off her angelic face, even as thoughts swirled in his mind about why she had asked for privacy. Gently, he pulled her onto his lap, keeping her head close to his heart with a fragile attempt at a smile. He didn't want his daughter to worry about him, despite the heavy weight of his own guilt.

Nehu felt a pang of sadness seeing her father in such a state. He had always been cheerful and full of life whenever they were together. Seeing him now, with sorrow in his eyes, was hard for her to understand. Softly, she asked, "Papa, are you crying?"

Sameer's heart clenched at her innocent question. He took a deep breath, trying to hold back his tears, and softly replied, "no bachcha... jab aap mere paas ho toh why will I cry..." he held her close, feeling the warmth and love that could begin to heal his aching heart.

Nehu shook her head and lifted her face to meet his gaze, "Don't lie, Papa... I know you are crying..." Her soft, melodious tone carried warmth and innocence, and it was more than Sameer could bear. Overwhelmed by guilt, he couldn't hold back his tears any longer and they began to flow freely.

Nehu gently wiped his tears away with her tiny thumb, her touch tender and soothing. As she caressed his cheeks, the purity of her love and the comfort of her presence enveloped him. In that moment, Sameer felt both the weight of his guilt and the healing power of his daughter's love, reminding him of the strength and hope that came from their bond.

As Sameer let out a sad chuckle, touched by Nehu's caring nature, she smiled up at him and asked, "Papa, do you love me and Mumma?"

Sameer wasn't prepared for her innocent question, but he nodded his head quickly, not wanting to give her any unwanted feelings. His eyes, still filled with tears, softened as he spoke, "I love you and Mumma more than anything in this world, my angel. You both are my everything, my reason to keep going, and the light that guides me through the darkest times..." his heart ached, but he felt a warmth spread through him at her innocent question.

Angel's face lit up with a bright smile, her father's reassurance bringing her comfort. She wrapped her tiny arms around his neck once more, hugging him tightly, feeling reassured by his words. Her father's love gave her the comfort and security she needed, and in that moment, both of them began to heal a little more.

Angel smiled warmly as she wiped a lone tear from his cheek. "Then don't cry, Papa... you are my superhero. Mein aur Mumma aapse bohot pyaar karte hain, aur mere handsome Papa rote huye bilkul achchhe nahin lagte," she said with an innocent yet resolute tone.

Sameer's heart swelled with emotion, her words washing over him like a healing balm. He held her close, feeling the unconditional love and pure admiration from his little girl. In that moment, he vowed to be the strong, loving father she believed him to be, determined to leave his guilt behind and focus on the beautiful bond they shared.

Sameer wiping his tears said, "baby... Papa aapse sorry bolna chahte hai... aap apne Papa ko maaf karoge na... I promise aage se mein koi galti nahin karunga..."

Angel looked at him with a confused expression, her lips forming a cute pout, unsure of why he was apologizing. Seeing her adorable confusion, Sameer gently explained, "aapke Papa itne saalon tak door rahe, aapka aur Mumma ka bilkul bhi dhyaan nahin rakha... na hi aapke saath waqt bitaya... aapko kitna akela mehsoos hota hoga na..."

Angel slightly understood his words and nodded her head cutely before replying, "lekin ab toh aap mere paas ho na... aap promise karoge ki aap ab mujhe chhod kar nahin jaaoge toh I will not get angry with you... aur mein Mumma se bhi bolungi aapko maaf kar de...okay... promise..." she asked cutely raising her little finger to get crossed with Sameer's making a pinky promise.

She looked at his sad face and assumed that her mother might be angry with her Papa for this reason. It seemed to explain the tension between them, and she couldn't help but feel the weight of their emotions.

Sameer was deeply moved by Nehu's unwavering belief in him. When she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck and gave him a tight hug, he was overwhelmed with emotion. Despite having hugged her countless times before, this hug felt different—more profound, more healing. It was as if her embrace carried the power to mend his broken heart and ease the burden of his guilt. In that moment, words failed to capture the intensity of his feelings. It was a connection that transcended the physical, a heartwarming reminder of the pure, unconditional love that only a child can offer. Sameer felt an indescribable sense of comfort and hope, knowing that his daughter's love could help him find the strength to heal and move forward.

Angel whispered softly before pulling away from him, "My Papa is the best in the world, and Angel loves him the most... don't cry... okay?"

The moment was nothing short of miraculous, an overwhelming experience that defied description. It was a heart-to-heart hug that transcended words. Sameer's heart, though still bleeding with guilt, felt a soothing relief at his daughter's touch.

Angel lifted her tiny, adorable face, making a heartfelt pout when she didn't hear a response. "Agar aap sad hoge toh Angel ko bhi achchha nahin lagega... you know, mere saare friends kehte hain ki mere Papa kitne handsome hain aur sabse best... lekin maine unhein kah diya ki mere Papa best hi nahin, voh mere Superhero bhi hain aur mere sabse achche friend bhi hain... aapne promise kiya tha na ki aap meri har wish poori karoge, toh please don't cry..." her innocent voice, filled with concern and love, pierced Sameer's heart. Her words were a gentle reminder of the unconditional trust and admiration she had for him.

Sameer felt a warmth and healing that only his daughter's pure love could provide. Her innocent words and tender embrace had lessened the pain in his heart, giving him the strength to face the future with hope and love.

Sameer nodded instantly, a silent apology for not being by her side all this while. He stared at her angelic face, then pulled her into his embrace, savouring this beautiful moment. "I am sorry, Angel... I am late... I am really, really sorry for all my mistakes. But I promise you, I will be the best Dad for you, and you will be proud of me... Angel promise..."

Sameer felt a surge of emotions as he looked into his daughter's adorable, pouty face. Her words touched the deepest corners of his heart. He pulled her closer, his voice choked with emotion, "Angel, aaj se aap jo bhi kahoge Papa vahi karenge... and I promise, Papa will not cry anymore. You are right, I made a promise to make all your wishes come true, and I intend to keep that promise... aapke Papa ab kabhi sad nahi honge kyunki unke paas duniya ki sabse best daughter jo hai...."

He gently kissed her forehead, feeling a renewed sense of strength and purpose. Angel's unwavering belief in him and her innocent love were the anchors that would help him sail through the stormy seas of guilt and sorrow.

Holding her tight, he knew he had a second chance to be the best father he could be, and he vowed to cherish every moment with his precious daughter and wife, "She is my daughter... my Angel... and I am going to work for her giggles, smiles, and coos. I am going to be her human shield and cherish every moment with her. Now, every little thing is a milestone for me." he vowed mentally to make up for lost time.

Sameer experienced a whirlwind of emotions—nervousness, sadness, happiness, anxiety. It felt as though he had been given a proper emotional beating. But as his heart started to beat normally again, he felt alive. The pain began to fade, replaced by a newfound light in his heart, a source of hope that had been missing just hours ago.

ज़िंदगी में बार बार सहारा नही मिलता,
बार बार कोई प्यार से प्यारा नही मिलता,
है जो पास उसे संभाल के रखना,
खो कर वो फिर कभी दुबारा नही मिलता....

That light was his Angel, his ray of sunshine, guiding him toward a brighter future.
