Naina came out from his cabin getting confused for the reason which makes him so furious... since morning they were good to each other but suddenly again he turned back to his arrogant mood... after an hour, Pandit called her to attend meeting with them... they entered seeing all board of directors seated there along with Vishakha and Karthik too...

Few of the members were still angry with Sameer for losing the opportunity of a big collaboration with Jindal's.... but they are not in a position to oppose him openly... moreover from last few days Jindal's shares in stock market are going down drastically making them almost bankrupt... there were rumors that even Income Tax department also raid their office and find some illegal transactions... no one knows the reason behind it but rumors indicating towards Maheshwari's... none other than Sameer Maheshwari...

After all this chaos Mr Jindal (Rocky's father) himself tried to win Maheshwari's confidence and eager to do the collaboration which can help him to get back his position in market, but Sameer was more adamant to not take this project any more... Mr Jindal lastly seeing no other option, contact Vishakha and Karthik to put some pressure on Sameer which resulted to this sudden meeting today...

Vishakha fumed angrily but keeping her tone low, "Sameer, why don't you re-think about collaboration with Jindal's... earlier, it was mutually decided by all Directors to go for this deal, then what happened suddenly... you can't just take decision by your own wish without justifying to all.... there should be a valid reason to cancel this deal..."

Naina standing behind him listening all their allegations on Sameer... she somehow understood that whatever happened in club party might be also one of the reasons for this... even she was suspecting Rocky behind attack on Sameer... she wants to support him, but he warned her to remain quiet in meeting... she decided firmly to talk to him later about this... if needed she was ready to apologize to Vishakha and Karthik as doesn't want Sameer to get insulted for her...

Karthik also support others, "ya... even I think so... we have long relations with them in past... why to make them our rivals unnecessary..."

Sameer listened all this calmly like nothing is affecting him at all... seeing him so quiet and sitting coolly, one of the Director asked, "so what's your suggestion now... you said last time to have faith on you but it's too long to wait for... can you tell us what exactly is in your mind... and how you are planning to compensate this..."

Sameer smiled sarcastically looking at Vishakha, "no, actually I was waited for others to put their point first... I don't care for the people who don't have any basic business senses, who just care about their reputation, power, money... since the day I have taken this position, my decisions were always for the company benefit and you all earn a lot out of this... am I right..." he roamed his eyes to all, ended at Karthik... his voice was low and soft but full of arrogance, making them all quiet in a moment...

One of old Director, who always appreciate him, and support ask, "we trust you Sameer as always... but hope you don't mind sharing your plan with all of us... and rightly said by Karthik, we can't make business rivals without having any valid reasons..."

Sameer laughed slowly, "don't worry, Jindal's are no more even qualified to be our rivals... and I assure you that Maheshwari Corporation always believe in healthy competition and that's what we will do in future as well..."

Sameer turned to looked at Pandit... he came forward and connect his system, to start the presentation on projector screen...

Sameer gaze moved towards Naina and gesture her to explain... she got hell nervous as she was not prepared for this... as he instructed her initially, she was supposed to stand their quietly and has no rights to talk in between or interfere...

But today he wants her to do the presentation in front of all on his behalf, making her more tensed... all Board of Directors are already annoyed with Sameer's decision and what if she made any more mistakes...

Naina looked at him but seeing his calm face and eyes showing trust on her, she gained back her confidence and slowly came ahead... she stood in front of all and starts explaining all her findings and views openly about Shah Industries, which is also a well-known reputed company of their trade...

Finalizing her presentation, she took a deep sigh and went back to Sameer... all were amazed on her thoughts and presentation skills, which somehow shows a reflection of Sameer... whenever he presents any of his views and thoughts, he always had all the answers in his mind which can be asked later... same way Naina present it so nicely that no one has even asked anything...

Sameer seeing everyone's reaction finally submit his decision, firmly, "so now... I hope you all got your answers... and with this its clarified that we are going to do our next venture with Shah Industries... paper-work is almost done and within this month, soon after a formal meeting, deal will be closed... and I promise it's good for Maheshwari industries..."

Sameer turned his gaze towards Vishakha, "I hope you must have no questions to ask now... well I know you hardly even understood what was presented in the screen... so..." he laughed sarcastically making her annoyed more....

Before Vishakha said anything, Karthik pressed her hand to make her quiet as he himself agreed with Sameer's decision... all starts appreciating his move which will benefit to their company altogether... meeting ended in a good note with a loud of applause for Sameer again... they all started leaving the conference room giving an appreciative glance for Naina too... only Vishakha and Karthik were left in the room... knowing the tension in family, Pandit too went out...

Naina seeing all their tensed faces decided to go out but Vishakha asked her to stop and stay there...

Vishakha glared him, "how could you insult your mother in front of..."

Sameer interrupt her with a deathly glare, "you are not my mother... dare you even try to say it again..." he shouted back making her flinched due to fear...

Naina too shivered on his tone and surprised why Sameer refused her to accept her Mother... she knew that Vishakha is his stepmother but was not aware of the relation they are sharing... she always feels some tension between them... they never talk on normal terms and usually oppose each other... even she felt bad when Vishakha asked her to keep a watch on Sameer's move and inform her... how could a mother think so low for his own son and doubt on his capabilities... even today all others except Vishakha accept Sameer's decision and appreciate him...

Vishakha shouts, "don't try to change the topic... can you please explain why you fight with Rocky and insulted him in club party... also why you are after them to destroy... don't think we are fool not knowing what's going on... I know you are behind of their share crunch and Income Tax Raid..."

Naina looked him shockingly as she somehow held herself responsible for all this mess... if she wouldn't have agreed with Rocky to go to his private room to discuss about deal, then this should have not happened... might be its all her fault for not understanding the hidden meanings of his words and created all this chaos for Sameer... but surprisingly he never blamed her for all this mess and even feel sorry for whatever happened... seemed he supports her saving her reputation...

Sameer mocked to tease her more, "so Mrs Maheshwari is more concerned about Rocky... well good to know that despite of your kitty parties you starts taking interest in business world... or can say more to keep an eye on me to control my life... isn't is true...." he said glaring to Naina and Vishakha... he was upset knowing how Vishakha wants Naina to keep an eye on him and inform all his whereabouts... but happy from inside that Naina denied to support Vishakha and take a stand for him...

Karthik interrupt, "Sameer... look it's not like this... we are genuinely concerned about you... to be frank you already had this accident... look at yourself... we are just explaining you to not make your life more miserable... how will you handle all this..."

Sameer feels hurt as he never wants anyone to show any kind of sympathy on him... even though he is on wheelchair, but he is much more capable to handle his life without any support and don't expect people to point out on his weakness... at least not from the person who hardly cares about him...

Naina sighted his face turned gloomy, feels bad for him... she came ahead to explain the reason for all this and ready to take all blame on her as in some way, she feels guilty for all this confusion happened...

Naina uttered slowly, "Rani Sahiba... it's not his fault... it's all..." before she complete Sameer shouts back on her, "who allowed you to spoke in our family matters... don't dare to utter a word... understood..."

Naina shivered on his high tone but still gets adamant to speak truth, "I just..." he hurriedly turned his wheelchair towards her grabbing her wrist harshly, "don't you understand what I am telling you... just keep your mouth shut and stay out of it..." he gritted his teeth in anger making her shiver more... his grip on her wrist tightened showing his level of annoyance...

Turning to Vishakha he glared her saying loudly, "you are getting your share of profit every month without any delays, so just stay out of my personal life... I know how to handle myself and this business..." he said glaring both to Vishakha and Karthik...

Karthik came ahead to calm him but seeing his anger on Naina and Vishakha, remain quiet and left from room, followed by Vishakha...

Finding themselves alone in room, Sameer turned his gaze to Naina, "can't you listen when someone asked you to keep quiet... how dare you interfere in my matters..."

Seeing everyone left, Naina gain some courage to ask him, "you did all this for me, right... so why are you taking blame on yourself when you are nowhere on fault... I know it's Rocky behind that attack on you... and that was also because of me only... I was just trying to explain to them, after all we are family..."

Sameer mocked sarcastically, "you still think so that you are so important for me that I will stake my millions and company reputation on a cheater girl like you... you are not even worth of it.... don't think so high of yourself... don't ever think that I will fall for you... don't ever forget your place and stay away from my family matters... you have no rights to talk between us..." his tone was piercing her heart...

Naina looked straight into his eyes feeling hurt on his words... since morning he was polite with him... she doubted if she might have misunderstood him back then... for him she is still the same gold digger, cheater and characterless woman who wants to impose her illegitimate child on him...

Whereas for Sameer, he knew the kind of character Vishakha has... if she knew that Naina was the reason for this mess, she can create difficulties for her... he purposely wants her to be away from all these issues... he had seen how much naïve she is and easily trust on anyone... he can't see her getting into trouble anymore... he wants to keep her safe and away from all tensions...

"You don't need to remind me what I am for you... I know my place..." the corner of her lips twitched, and her smile was a little bitter, controlling her anger and tears which are ready to burst out any moment...

Her heart ached a little more to know the truth. The small hope in the corner of her heart to win his heart one day vanished instantly. A few drops of tears escaped stealthily from her eyes...

Sameer narrowed his eyes slightly, "and what did you mean by this now...?"

Naina remove her hand from his grip standing straight, "I meant what you said Mr Maheshwari... don't worry, I will never forget my place in your life and in your family... it's just I felt that all this mess was because of me, but thanks to you for clarifying it... ab dil par koi bojh nahin rahega mere..." she too said arrogantly...

Before she completes her words, Sameer who had been sitting still close to her, grabbed her waist... before she could react, he pulled her towards him and she fell into his lap... feeling his firm arm around her body, keeping her tightly into his embrace...

The remaining words stayed back in her mouth when his lips sealed hers.... he was kissing her wildly... the kiss was full of anger, frustration and dominating, not even allowing her to breath... the heat was rising gradually inside them... she was so nervous on how to react and unable to get herself out of his strong grip... she had never experienced such a wild kiss...

She wanted to push him away, but his strong grip and his sensual kisses were driving her crazy... for a moment, she couldn't resist the desire evoked inside her and she let him lover her crazily...

Naina was still in a state of confusion when his low and hoarse voice landed into her ears, "don't forget your place ever... did you get that?"

Naina lift her head to meet his intense deep eyes landed on her face, when realized what he meant... coming back into senses, she regretted not being able to control her desire... it looks more humiliating for her... he himself didn't accepted this marriage but then what about this kiss... has he considered her for this only... Is this her place for him in his life?

Naina pushed his chest away from all strength left in her body and stood back on her feet still trembling... his grip was still firm on her hand ensuring her to be safe... he doesn't want her to go away from him either...

Naina jerked his hand harshly and ran out from the conference room... seeing her coming out in such state, Pandit rushed inside seeing Sameer sitting all lost and tensed... he chose remains to quiet rather asking what happen between them... soon Sameer too left for his cabin with Pandit... reaching inside Sameer asked to be alone for some time...

Naina rushed to washroom to compose herself as doesn't want anyone to see her in this condition... luckily the entire floor is only for CEO so there are less chances of any other staff to be there to witness her condition... splashing cold water on her face, she tried to calm her uneven breath, but tears keep flowing on her cheeks uncontrollable feeling humiliated by his act...

Coming back to her seat, Naina got call on her intercom from Preeti to join at lunch... she doesn't have any appetite but reminding her medical condition and pregnancy, she prefers not to skip her meal... she knew she has no one who will take care of her or pamper her... she must stay strong for herself and for baby...

They sit back on their usual seat, chatting like other days when Preeti asked, "why have you not come yesterday... I was missing you... mujhe laga teri tabiyat phir se kharaab na ho gayi ho..."

Naina hit slightly on her hand, "sab teri wajah se... khabardaar jo aage se aise ideas diye toh... pata hai uss din maine kitni drink kar li thi... kitna hungama kiya... aur whisky kitni kadwi hoti hai... tu kaise peeti leti hai yeh sab..."

Preeti burst into laughter, "wow Naina, tu ne pehli baar mein hi seedha whisky... not bad... tu toh mujhse bhi jyaada mahaan hai yaar... maine toh sirf aaj tak beer hi try ki hai... voh bhi sirf ek ya do baar... voh toh bas shekhi maarne ke liye maine tujhe bola tha par mujhe nahin pata tha tu meri baatein itni seriously maan legi... tu toh badi adventurous hai yaar..." she laughed making fun of her...

Naina chuckled slightly, "kuchh bhi haan... mujhe nahin pata kya difference hai beer aur whisky mein... par pakka aaj ke baad kabhi haath bhi nahin lagaungi... voh toh thank god unhone sambhal liya varna pata nahin kya hota... kitna tamasha ban sakta tha mera..." she said in a flow without realizing that Preeti is not aware of her marital status even...

Preeti asked excitedly, "unhone... matlab... boyfriend ya husband... tu ne kabhi bataya nahin that you are in relation... vaise who is that lucky guy?"

Naina realized and said, "arey nahin yaar... koi boyfriend nahin hai... and I don't believe in this love shov anymore... duniya mein koi insaan kisi aur se pyaar kar hi nahin sakta... sab dikhawa hai... log pyaar mein bhi apna level dhundhate hai... dil se kisi ka koi lena dena nahin..." she gets sad recalling Kamya and Sameer together... how they both seems perfect for each other and she has no level to match...

Even she was more hurt of Sameer's harsh words reminding her position in his life and family... she is no one for him...

Preeti keep her hand on hers, "Naina, kuchh hua hai kya... tu itni udaas kyun hai... dekh tu chaahe toh mujhse kuchh bhi share kar sakti hai... teri aankhen bata rahi hai ki tu kuchh chhupa rahi hai mujhse... tu royi thi kya..." though Preeti observed her puffed eyes the moment she met with her but stay quiet seeing her trying hard to keep a fake smile on her face... Preeti doesn't want her to force to share her feelings until she gets comfortable by her own...

Naina smiled weakly, "nahin, aisa kuchh nahin... bas kuchh yaad aa gaya... par yeh sab chhod, inn baaton ke koi maayne nahin... tu bata teri life mein koi hai.. special..." she said to divert their line of discussion as doesn't want to let her know truth...

Preeti said dramatically, "ab hamari kismat mein koi aisa kahaan... bas khud se hi pyaar kar ke khush hai hum toh... vaise bhi jo insaan khud se pyaar nahin kar sakta voh kisi aur se kaise karega... right?"

Naina nodded smilingly thinking she is indeed right...

Preeti suddenly screamed hugging her tightly, "vaise tu ne toh mujhe nahin bataya.. par congratulations yaar for such a big achievement... aaj pakka tujhse party leni hai mujhe..."

Naina looked at her surprisingly when Preeti said, "yaar, aaj pehli baar iss company mein Board of Directors ke beech kisi employee ne presentation di hai... it's a big achievement for you na..."

Naina smiled asking, "tujhe kaise pata..." after their heated conversation she forget how he was supporting her in the conference room and boost up her morale with just an assuring glance...

Preeti raised her imaginary collar, "Madam, mat bhuliye, I am in HR department... vaise mere boss bhi the uss meeting mein, unhone hi bataya mujhe... he was really impressed with you aur hairaan bhi the kyunki Sameer sir kabhi apni presentation kisi aur ko nahin dene dete... its first time... par sach kahun you well deserved it... saari raat baith kar kaam kiya tha, itna toh banta hai.. aur dekh an isi se tera confidence kitna boost ho gaya hoga... you are really lucky to have Mr Maheshwari as your boss..."

Naina realized she is certainly correct... she thinks, "is this the reason he was angry on me for changing the presentation before meeting... isiliye subah gussa kiya aur presentation bhi meri pehle wali thi... changed version toh tha hi nahin... he was right, I should have confidence on myself... in fact, initially I was scared par jab unki aankhon mein apne liye confidence dekha toh ek pal mein saara darr bhool kar maine sabke saamne presentation di.... he really supported me..."

"Par ab kya fayda, uske baad itna gussa kiya ki ab thanks kehne bhi nahin ja sakti... hamari baatein hamesha itani ulajhi huyi kyun hai... kabhi itna support karte hai, mujh par vishwas dikhate hai aur agle hi pal bilkul monster ban jaate hai... kaise samjhu ki unke dil mein dimaag mein kab kya chal raha hota hai... Mr Complicated Maheshwari... huh..."

Finishing their lunch, they stood to go when few girls sitting on other table gossiped, "aaj subah yeh CEO ki car se utari thi na... dikhne mein toh kitni seedhi lagti hai par harkatein dekho... lagta hai saari raat unke saath hi thi..."

Other girl laughed evilly, "kya fayda... lagta hai saari raat reports hi banayi hongi... aur kuchh toh possible nahin... vaise bhi CEO itne smart, good looking hai... apni majboori mein bhi standard toh maintain karenge na.. ab iska level toh unse bilkul match nahin karta..." all laughed making fun of her...

Preeti huffed in anger and turned to go to them to give them a good piece of mind, when Naina hold her hand gesturing no... she dragged Preeti out from the cafeteria...

Preeti jerked her hand, "tu ne roka kyun mujhe... aaj unko aisa jawaab deti ki akkal thikane aa jaati... kaise voh tere aur Sameer Sir ke baare mein aise bol sakti hai... jara si bhi respect nahin inki najaron mein kisi ke liye..."

Naina tried to calm her, "Preeti chhod na.. unki soch kabhi nahin badlegi aur mein apni jagah jaanti hun... kisi ke bhi kuchh bhi kehne se kuchh nahin badlega..." she recalled her argue with him in conference room... when he himself doesn't have any respect for her what else she should expect from strangers....

Preeti gets more annoyed with her cool reaction, "tu na yeh bewkoof banana chhod aur apne haq ke liye bolna seekh... tujhe toh unka sar phod dena chahiye tha... tu itni seedhi hai mujhe nahin pata tha... tujhe gussa nahin aata kisi baat par... unhone itna sab kaha aur tu mujhe hi chup kara rahi hai..."

Naina lost in her own thoughts said unknowingly, "aata hai na jab koi Mr Maheshwari ke baare mein kuchh galat kehta hai... maana unki physical condition kuchh bhi ho, par unke baare mein inhein kuchh bhi kehne ka koi haq nahin... yeh unhein jaanti hi kitna hai... they should feel proud to work in this company under his supervision rather than commenting on his personal life... aaj bhi jab Karthik sir ne unhein bola toh voh kitne udaas ho gaye the... they should appreciate and support him as a family rather than looking down on him..."

Preeti looked her amazingly... suddenly a naughty smile crept on her lips, "wow Naina, mujhe nahin pata tha tu unko itna pasand karti hai... I mean apni beizzati bhool kar tujhe unke liye kahi baatein buri lag rahi hai... aur uss din voh bhi tujhe yun achanak behosh dekhkar kitna bechain ho gaye the... aaj tujhe yun unke baare mein bura sun kar itna hurt feel hua... I mean don't mind, par kuchh toh connection hai na tum donon ke beech..." she said encircling her hand around her neck teasing her...

Naina realized what she uttered unknowingly which makes Preeti suspicious on her... she composed herself quickly and tried to convince her, "nahin yaar... aisa kuchh nahin... bas unke saath poora din kaam karti hun toh unhein kareeb se janane ka mauka mila hai... I mean professionally bohot kuchh seekhne ko mila, bas isi liye... tu bhi na... na hamare beech kuchh hai aur na kabhi hoga..."

Naina hit slightly playfully on her head, "aur tu na apne dimaag ka ilaaj kara achchhe se... samjhi... I know my place very well aur aisi baatein mujhse dur hi rakh tu..." they both laughed and left for their desk with light-hearted...

Speaking with Preeti always make Naina relax and calm... in her she finds a bubbly, cute and honest friend who will always stands with her, for her, in all circumstances... Naina thanked in her heart to god as now she has a caring brother, though he never show-off his concern for her but one can see in his eyes... and a caring and lovely friend, with whom she always forgets her all pains... a true friend 💕
