Naina knocked on the door with shivering hands and entered when received a cold response, "come in..." she shivered on his tone expecting another scolding...

She entered and stood at a decent distance from his table.. Pandit was not present there... she keep standing there whereas he shown himself busy in working on his laptop without giving a glance to her... but she can easily figure it out that how much angry he must be now...

Finally seeing no response from his side, she asked slowly, "sir, you called me... any work for me..." his fingers stopped hearing her and turned with his fiery eyes... she trembled in fear but remain stood there...

Breaking the deadly silence, he spoke, "how did you get married to a person without even knowing his name or you are trying to make me fool with your fake innocence... are you really innocent or too good at pretending.."

Naina was taken aback with his question... she was indeed expecting this but didn't expect him to ask her so directly... how could she explain that she was not even aware when actually she signed on the marriage contract papers... she thinks, "jab shaadi ka hi pata nahin tha toh husband ka naam kaise pata hota... par yeh sach mein kisi ko nahin bata sakti, varna mere parents ko galat samjha jayega... meri wajah se unhein ab koi aur takleef nahin honi chahiye..." she remain quiet thinking how she can tell him the truth of their marriage...

She stood there keeping her head low... the atmosphere between two was abnormally tensed...

Sameer glanced at her keenly as she was not looking at him... he realized she still resembles same as he has seen her three years back... same beautiful features as well as beautiful eyes... exactly similar to her name, her eyes are so captivating... but her face was extremely pale seems she was sick...

Sameer didn't know why he was acting like this either... there was a nagging feeling in him that made him feel that Naina was just different from what he assumed her to be like... is he wrong about her..?

Unexpectedly, Sameer's heart ached but he changed his facial expression as cold as earlier... she looked up at his face and asked all of a sudden, "why you felt bad when you see me with someone else..." he stunned to listen her as he was not expecting her to asked this instead of replying to his question...

Sameer mocked looking at her, "you think I am jealous.... don't make fool of yourself ... in reality, I don't want you to seduce any other member in my family... I know the kind of character you had... did you get that...?" his piercing tone pricked her heart...

He shouted back on her to insult her more, "get lost from here..." on a contrary he tried to avoid replying on her question to admit how he actually felt jealous seeing her so close to Karthik...

Naina was startled... though she was not expecting any kind of sweet gesture from his side seeing his behavior from last two days but was really not expecting this reply... her vision become blurry and her face turned more pale... she lowered her head and left outside the cabin quietly wiping tears from corner of her eyes...

She sits back on her seat, shedding uncontrollable tears... feeling tired and weak, she wiped her tears and get a coffee for herself to get some strength to face him again... she knew his ulterior motive for allowing her to be his assistant... he wants to humiliate her, insult her... but she was also determine to prove herself in front of her... she was not ready to accept her defeat without fight...

Sameer opened his screen and saw her through CCTV, sitting on her seat crying silently... he purposely kept her seat close to CCTV camera to have a look on her... he frowned on his own feeling... why seeing her in tears always affect me so much... he shut the screen and closed his eyes drawing in a sharp breath, "teen saal se yeh chehra har waqt meri aankhon ke saamne raha... jab jab mein kamjor pada tumhari uss pyaari si muskaan ne mujhe hausla diya, himmat di aage badne ke liye... aaj bhi vahi chehra, vahi aankhen hai jin mein vahi masumiyat jhalakti hai... par unhi aankhon mein meri wajah se aansu bhi hai... kya karun kuchh samajh nahin aa raha... dil kehta hai tum dhokhebaaz nahin par jo sach saamne hai usey kaise jhutla dun...

Agar tum sahi bhi ho toh mujhe koi haq nahin tumhein apne saath iss rishtey mein baandhane ka... aaj itna toh samajh aa gaya ki yeh shaadi tumhein bina bataye huyi hai isiliye tumhein mera naam bhi nahin pata... tumhein mere baare mein kuchh nahin pata tha isiliye shaadi ki raat tum mujhe dekh kar hairan thi... tumhari aankhon mein sach dikhta hai jo tumhari jubaan par nahin aata... par meri majburiyon ke bojh ke saath mein tumhein voh khushi nahin de sakta jiski tum haqdaar ho... tumhein jaana hi hoga... mujhse dur, bohot dur... iske liye chaahe mujhe tumhein kitna bhi dukh dena pade... mein chahta hoon ki tum mujhse itni nafarat karo ki mujhe chhod ke jaane ka jara sa bhi dukh na ho tumhein..."

Naina was engrossed in finishing loads of work given to her by Sameer... one after another he keep giving her instructions, finding mistakes in her work, shouting on her... she keep listening everything controlling her anger as after their last conversation, she had left with no more energy to argue with him or even to explain her point to him...

Getting busy she again didn't get even time to have her lunch, all her energy were completely drained.... her attention diverted with the call on her mobile from an unknown number... she picked up the call half-heartedly but soon a wide smile spread on her face... her gloomy face soon turned into a bright smile...

It was call of her only friend who is always with her in all her ups and downs... her best friend since her childhood... Kamya Parekh... her soul mate... more than a sister for her...

Kamya, a perfect example of beauty with brain... she is her childhood friend till they complete their graduation.... she belongs to a rich business class family but very bubbly, talkative and friendly in nature... sole heir of Parekh Industries... after completing her graduation she left for US to pursue one year course in fashion designing and willing to join her family business... though they were always in close touch but since Kamya was busy in her last semester, she didn't get time to call Naina from last two months, which drastically changed her life...

After completing her course, she came back India last night only and since morning trying to call her but Naina was too much busy in completing her office work in hand, didn't respond any of her call...

Naina exclaimed happily, "Kamya... kaisi hai tu... tu kab vaapas aa rahi hai... itne dinon se phone kyun nahin kiya tu ne... pata hai tere bina kitni akeli ho gayi thi mein..." she gets emotional getting chance to talk to her after so long...

Kamya smiled finally listening her voice, "thank god tu ne phone toh uthaya... mein subah se tujhe try kar rahi hoon.... Vaise mein kal hi vaapas aayi hun aur sabse pehle tujhe phone kar diya.. yeh sab chhod jaldi se yeh bata tu milegi kab... sachchi tujhse milne ke liye taras gayi hun... US mein sabse jyaada maine tujhe miss kiya..."

Naina smiled, "maine bhi tujhe bohot miss kiya... bohot kuchh batana hai tujhe, jo mein kisi se nahin kah sakti... koi nahin tere siwa jo mere man ki baat samjhe..." they always had habit to share everything with each other and without her Naina was feeling very lonely...

Sensing heaviness in her voice, Kamya asked worriedly, "Naina, tu theek toh hai na... mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ki tu pareshaan hai... jaldi bata mujhe tension ho rahi hai... tu jaanti hai na mein tujhe pareshaan nahin dekh sakti... mein abhi aa rahi hun tujhse milne... tujhe office se pick karti hun, tu wait kar..."

Naina stops her, "nahin abhi nahin... thoda kaam hai... tu ek kaam kar mujhe 2 ghante baad milna... mein address text karti hun tujhe... maine job bhi change kar li hai toh naye office ka address deti hun... chal bye shaam ko milte hai..." saying this she quickly disconnect the call... she can't expect to take an early leave on her first day from office...

Rest of the day went in peace for her as she ignore all his harsh words and tones in her excitement to meet her friend cum soul sister after a long time...

In evening, she quickly wrap up her table and went to his cabin to inform him before leaving... Pandit stopped her to go inside as he was busy in important meeting... she didn't feel like either to inform anything to Pandit and left hurriedly to meet Kamya... Pandit seeing her pale face thought to offer her drive back with them but remain quiet knowing might be Sameer will not like it...

Coming out from building, she walked to a nearby café where she asked her to wait ... they both excitedly hugged each other as met after one year....

They sits back in a nearby café, ordering their favorite cold coffee with snacks... Kamya told all her experiences happily whereas Naina was all lost in her own miseries... seeing her so tensed, Kamya keep her hand on hers, "kya baat hai Naina.. tujhe hua kya hai... shakal dekh kaise murjha gayi hai teri... tere Sharadji tera achchhe se khayal nahin rakhte kya... abhi bhi office ke project mein busy hai kya voh... tujhe time nahin dete..." she winked to tease her to lighten her mood...

Naina's eyes dwelled with tears... slowly she told her everything what all had happened with her in last one month which changed her life completely... or can say shattered her...

Kamya hugged her tightly to console her... tears keep rolling down on her cheeks too feeling her pain... she felt disappointed on herself that she was not around with her during her toughest time... Naina was always be the biggest supporter for her throughout their school and college time but she failed in supporting her...

Few moments later, seeing her watch Naina said, "sorry mujhe jaana hoga... ghar par kisi ko nahin pata mein kahaan hoon... vaise mein jaanti hun koi mera intzaar nahin kar raha hoga par mera bhi kuchh farz hai... mein ek aur mauka nahin dena chahati kisi ko mujh par ungli uthaane ka..." inside she knew that might be reaching late at home gave another chance for him to taunt on her character...

Kamya reluctantly agreed and offered to drop her nearby... Naina stood when again feel dizzy... she sits back clutching her head in her hands...

Kamya getting worried offered her water, "kya haal bana liya hai tu ne apna... chhod kyun nahin deti sab kuchh... kyun sah rahi hai itni beizzati jab teri koi galti hi nahin hai... tujhe ladna chahiye tha apne haq ke liye... iss tarah characterless hone ka iljaam nahin lena chahiye tha apne upar..."

Naina smiled weakly, "galti toh nahin hai par kismat mein yahi likha hai... mein jaanti hun kitni bhi koshish kar lun par mein kisi ki soch ko nahin badal sakti... maine kismat se samjhota kar liya hai... ab jo hoga dekha jayega... aur phir Mummy Papa ki izzat ka sawaal tha, badi behen ki shaadi... meri ek galti ya zid se sab bikhar jaata... mein aisa nahin kar sakti... shayad ek beti hone ka farz nibhaya hai maine... aur ab yeh shaadi hi mera sach hai... achchha ya bura, jaisa bhi hai, mein poore dil se isey nibhaungi..."

Taking a deep sigh Naina smiled faintly, "aur agar soche toh in sab mein Sameerji ki kya galti... voh toh vahi samjhenge, usey hi sach maanenge jo saamne dikh raha hai... na mein sach bata pa rahi hoon na saabit kar sakti... Sharad ne jo bhi kuchh kiya mere saath yeh sab usi ka nateeja hai... kaise vishwas dilaaun kisi ko ki mein characterless nahin hoon... kuchh bhi kahungi toh Sharad meri photos social media par viral kar dega... usey divorce mil chuka hai aur voh apni nayi zindagi mein busy hai... usey toh jara bhi sharam nahin apne kiye ki... par ab iss baar mein apni shaadi aise nahin tootane dungi... jo Sharad ne kiya voh mein nahin karungi... ek jhuth ke sahare zindagi nahin kaatungi.. aaj nahin toh kal mein apna sach jaroor bataungi bhale koi maane ya na maane... bas mujhe thoda sa waqt aur ek sahi mauka chahiye... shayad sab theek ho jaaye..." she smiled confidently as ready to bear all hardship to make this marriage success... to prove herself right...

Seeing her so adamant to continue this marriage Kamya assured all her possible support, "I wish tu jo chahti hai vaisa hi ho... mein hoon tere saath har kadam par... dekh teri tabiyat bhi theek nahin hai... vaise kal mujhe kuchh dinon ke liye ek family function attend karne baahar jaana hai, agar mere vaapas aane tak teri tabiyat theek nahin huyi toh mein khud tujhe kheench kar Doctor ke paas lekar jaayungi... aur tu manaa nahin karegi... samjhi... par tab tak apna khyaal rakhna aur kuchh bhi ho mujhe phone kar dena... tu jaanti hai na ki teri jagah meri zindagi mein kya hai... mujhe bohot bura lag raha hai ki tere bure waqt mein tujhe akele sab sehna pada... kaash mein tere saath hoti..."

Naina eyes filled with tears as after so long someone is genuinely concerned for her... before leaving from café, Kamya ensures her to eat properly....

Soon they both left the café and on Naina's insistence, Kamya drop her on the way to her home... Naina didn't want anyone to think wrong about Kamya so decided to keep her away from her house as much as possible...

Kamya left deeply hurt and thinking about her, "kaash mein Naina ke liye kuchh kar paati... kitna dukh saha hai isane... abhi bhi pata nahin kis jallad insaan se shaadi ho gayi hai... ek baar pata chal jaaye toh chhodungi nahin usko... samajhta kya hai apne aap ko... meri masoom si saheli ko kitna torture karta hai... kam se kam ek baar uski baat toh sun leta... seedha faisla suna diya..."

Naina reached home walking for around 15 minutes... after spending some good time with her best friend she feels good after a long time and filled with energy and positivity to face all difficulties... though she didn't tell her much about Sameer and her relation but feel strong to handle the problems she has to face more...

A dark pair of eyes were watching her coming towards home, sitting near the window... he frowned seeing her roaming outside alone till late night, though she had left from office before them on time...

He was worriedly waiting for her, "mujhse pehle office se nikli thi par abhi tak ghar nahin aayi... shakal se kitni bimaar lag rahi hai, agar raste mein kuchh ho jaata toh kaun dhyaan rakhta... careless... ek baar request nahin kar sakti thi saath aane ke liye... too much ego... kaash Pandit hi offer kar deta... par nahin Madam ko akele ghumane se fursat mile tab na..." he was frustrated but more concerned seeing her pale face in office but didn't want to show up... in evening he was planning to find some excuse so that she can come back with them but before that she left office without informing him...

She entered her room finding in dim light.... thinking he might be not at home, she switch on the light but surprised to see him sitting near window alone looking outside... seeing no reaction from his side, she left to use washroom and came out changing in her night dress... she moved to go outside in balcony to sleep as feeling very tired and weak from inside when stops hearing his loud voice, "from where are you coming so late... it's home, not a kind of hotel where you can come and go any time as per your wish..." he remain seated near window keeping his back towards her...

She eventually planned to explain him but knew that he will again take her wrong... but now since he himself asked, she replied slowly, "sorry, I went to meet my only childhood friend today.. she has come back from US yesterday only... I came to inform you but Pandit sir said you were busy in meeting... I didn't feel like to disturb you but will surely inform you next time... sorry once again Sir..." saying this she left outside keeping the glass door closed behind her... feeling extremely tired and didn't have energy to get into another argument...

Sameer turned feeling silent from back but she was nowhere... he frowned listening her weak and dull voice... he went towards balcony seeing her lying on floor covering herself from dupatta and sleeping... due to weakness she dozed off immediately, listening her favorite music keeping ear plugs in her ear...

During midnight, feeling restless, she wake up... seeing all dark around she sits back keeping her head rested on wall... soon she felt uneasy and rush towards washroom throwing out badly... her head was spinning heavily... she tried hard to keep her mouth covered to suppress her voice to not to disturb his sleep... splashing water on her face, she gets bit relaxed.. she stays in washroom for quite some time and later after cleaning the sink she came out and went outside again in balcony and sits back on a chair lying there.... sleep was far away from her eyes as she realize its early dawn... it was drizzling a bit with slightly cool breeze giving her a little relief...

Since the time, she had opened the glass door and rushed towards bathroom, his sleep disturbed and realized she is not well... he waited for her to come out but surprised to see her going back in balcony quietly keeping the door shut behind her... he feels bad and recalled her teary face when he scold her insulting badly in office on her character... since after that she has not utter a single word, not even justify herself and keep listening his taunts and shouts... he too stay awake thinking about her keeping his eyes closed but later dozed off.....

Since she was already awake, she gets ready fast and left home before he awakes to visit doctor as she knew no one is there for her to take care of her health.. she must take care of herself if she wants to survive any more...

Sameer woke up seeing her not around... he assumes her to be present at breakfast table but to his dismay she was not even there....

Vishakha asked suddenly, "Sameer... Naina kahaan hai... do din se nazar nahin aayi... uska office kaisa chal raha hai... I hope you are behaving nicely with her..." she said eyeing to Karthik who might informed how Naina was serving coffee in meeting room, working as his assistant... she can easily get any other post as per her choice being the daughter-in-law of Maheshwari's but Sameer kept her as his assistant...

Sameer replied coldly, "I am not his assistant to keep her schedule... you had selected her for this house, so better start taking care of her..." saying this he left the breakfast in between and left for office having no mood to eat anything more... he purposely said to Vishakha that might be being a woman she understood her problem and take good care of Naina...

He himself was feeling guilty seeing her not well and now she is not around... he was initially thinking a way out to let her take office with them in car seeing her not well... he was totally clueless where she had gone so early, again without informing anyone... till now he even doesn't have her phone number to check...

Naina visit to a small clinic near to her office which she had seen on her way last day... luckily she met with Doctor in early hours too as it was a residence cum clinic...

Doctor does her check-up and asked some random questions... later she prescribed some medicines and asked her to get a blood test done, as it might be some serious infection... Nurse asked her to fill the form as per hospital policy for records...

Naina gave the blood sample and bought the medicines from store... Doctor suggested her to collect report in evening and consult with her again... Naina after taking an appointment for evening, left for office hurriedly as doesn't want to get late for office...

Naina bumped to him outside waiting for the elevator... she avoid using the elevator along with him... Pandit entered inside with Sameer... she remain standing outside waiting for them to go first... seeing Sameer's restlessness due to her absence since last evening, Pandit decided to take a step ahead... he hold the lift to stop and called her, "Ms Agarwal, come inside otherwise you will get late..."

Reluctantly seeing no option, she entered and stood at the corner, avoid facing him directly... he threw a stern look from the corner of his eyes making her shiver... silence wraps the whole elevator... taking a relief of sign she hurriedly went out after reaching at their floor and moved straight to her table without giving a glance to him...
