Sameer's POV

Sending Naina back to her room to get ready he gets himself busy in his work... he visited once again to the room next to their own room, checking for the surprise he prepared for Naina...

After coming back from Jaipur Pandit and Preeti went straight to meet Sameer who was busy in discussing with event management team checking on last minute preparations...

Sameer taking a sigh relief, "thank god tum donon aa gaye... I was hell worried ki kahin kuchh kami na rah jaaye..." he said feeling nervous as doesn't want any mistake today to give best surprise to Naina... he wants to start all fresh with new memories of their togetherness...

Pandit smiled seeing the preparations, "isase best toh mein bhi nahin kar paata... tu ne Naina ke liye jo yeh sab kiya hai, dekhna kitni khush ho jaayegi... saari decoration uski pasand ki hai, bilkul usi ki tarah... simple and elegant..."

Preeti looking at the preparations asked excitedly, "lekin Naina hai kahaan... usey bataya bhi ki abhi tak sab surprise hi chal raha hai..." she laughed knowing how much Naina must be eager to know the truth and the way they both were hiding from her from past few days...

Sameer smiled, "she was here only an hour back, but I didn't tell her anything... I sent her to get ready... can you check if she is ready or not... party is going to start any time..." he was excited to see her surprised reaction seeing all the arrangements... for her, he planned a small party with only limited important guests and media in their back lawn near pool, Naina's favorite place... it's their moment and he doesn't want more people to spoil their lovable lonely time in gossiping...

Preeti left assuring to come back with Naina soon... Sameer and Pandit remain there discussing the matter resolved with Preeti's maternal uncles...

Sameer, "Pandit, I think it's time now for you also to settle and get married... Preeti is all alone, and I don't want her to stay alone any more... shaadi ke baad hum sab yahin iss ghar mein saath rahenge toh usko bhi akelapan feel nahin hoga... kyun na aaj ke function mein tu bhi Preeti ko shaadi ke liye propose kar de... double celebration ho jayega"

Pandit smiled feeling shy, "mujhe bhi yahi lagta hai... jaise hi aaj teri life mein sab kuchh settle ho jayega mein bhi Preeti ko shaadi ke liye propose kar dunga... at least engagement kar lenge toh usey bhi secure feel hoga... varna tu jaanta hai voh apne man ki baat jaldi se nahin batati... shayad mein aaj bhi uske dil mein poori tarah se apne liye jagah nahin bana paaya..." he said feeling sad that how she hid her problems and pains from all...

Sameer tried to compose him, "aisa nahin hai ki Preeti tujh par bharosa nahin karti... lekin shayad abhi hum donon ko aur bohot mehanat karni padegi inn ladkiyon ke dilon ko poori tarah se jeetane ki... Naina ne bhi toh kitna waqt lagaya mujh par trust karne ke liye... sach kahun toh lagta hai yeh donon humse jyaada strong hai apni life ko handle karne mein... koi bhi situation ho they can handle better than us..." they both smiled knowing their partners are enough strong and brave to handle the situations all alone...

Pulling out a small cushion bag from his side table he handed to Pandit, "mujhe pata tha tu mana nahin karega isliye maine advance mein Preeti ke liye ring order karke mangwa li... ab khaali haath marriage ke liye propose karega toh joote maregi tujhe..."

Pandit laughed taking the ring in his hand, "bhai ring ke saath chhole bhature bhi mangwa leta toh haan ki guarantee ho jaati... khair party mein itna khaana bana hoga ki mana kar hi nahin payegi... bas ek baar haan kar de toh khushi mein subah tak non-stop khaana kha sakta hoon..." they both laughed thinking all crazy ideas to propose Preeti for marriage and have fun... this day seems to be the best day for both friends as they were going to unite with their loved ones forever...

Their attention diverts seeing a well-dressed suited person enters introducing himself, "good evening Mr Maheshwari, I am Assistant from Mr Shah's office... I came here to personally handover this legal agreement to you as you know Mr Shah is out of town today... and sorry sir for coming late as some last-minute formalities took more time as expected..." he apologized and handed over one sealed envelope to Sameer...

Sameer took the envelope surprisingly asking the person, "but you had already given these documents to Naina earlier... thodi der pehle yeh papers uske haath mein the..."

Assistant replied, "no sir, I have clear instructions from Mr Shah to handover these documents in your hand only... I didn't meet Ms Naina today..." knowing Naina as his personal assistant he met her earlier several times in office for legal work...

Just then Preeti came back alone asking, "Sameer Naina toh apne room mein nahin hai... where is she?"

Pandit asked, "Naina nahin hai... matlab... dekho shayad terrace ya kitchen mein na ho..." Preeti nodded and left to find her in other rooms or kitchen...

Sameer getting more confused asked again, "are you sure you had not met Naina today... may be someone else has come here earlier to handover these documents to her?" he recalled how Naina asked him about the legal adoption documents about an hour before... though he had not taken the document from her hand and read it but was sure it must be the same which he asked to prepare from Mr Shah to gift her...

Pandit asked in confusion and took the envelope from his hand, "yeh kaun se papers hai... aur Naina kahaan chali gayi iss waqt..."

Assistant also replied, "No sir, it cannot be possible because I am the only one in our firm who was handling these papers in absence of Mr Shah personally... no one else can come here before me... and I have not met Ms Naina today..."

Sameer in confusion let him go as no point to discuss anything more with him... he was all lost in his thoughts that if the papers are just now delivered by Mr Shah's assistant than which adoption papers Naina was talking about?

Who has given her similar adoption papers?

What was written on those papers for which she was worriedly asking for?

Did he again miss something to understand?

Pandit asked surprisingly reading the documents, "Sameer, tu yeh surprise dene wala tha Naina ko... tu ne mujhe bhi nahin bataya iske baare mein..."

Sameer replied all lost, "ya... I know she trusts me lekin yeh assurance jaruri thi jisase uske man mein koi darr na rahe... tu jaanta hai voh kabhi kuchh demand nahin karti lekin bachche ke bhavishya ke liye legally yeh karna jaruri tha... jab duniya ko pata chalta hamari shaadi aur Naina ki pregnancy ke baare mein toh kai sawaal uthate aur mein kisi ko mauka nahin dena chahta tha ki koi Naina ya baby par ungli uthaaye... agar mein baby ko adopt kar lunga toh legally Sharad bhi baby par apna haq nahin jaata payega..." seeing Sharad's rude behavior with Naina he was sure that Naina must have not revealed to him about her pregnancy... after accepting his relation in front of entire world he knew how media will surely starts digging out her past and may be create issue and problems in her life... even Vishakha can also try to degrade her reputation in front of media taking a chance of her being pregnant before her marriage with Sameer...

Pandit smiled feeling happy, "it's a great move yaar... Naina ki saari insecurities dur ho jayengi... dekhna iss ke baad tum donon ke beech koi nahin aa paayega... I hope aaj ke baad tum teenon ki zindagi mein koi pareshaani nahin rahegi... I am really proud of you... ab kisi ki himmat nahin hogi bachche ke baare mein kuchh bhi bura bolne ki..."

Preeti came back painting heavily, "maine sab jagah dekh liya lekin Naina kahin nahin hai... are you sure voh kahin baahar nahin gayi..."

Pandit asked confusingly, "iss waqt kahaan jaa sakti hai voh akele..." he asked looking at Sameer who himself was in extreme surprise and lost thinking about the documents... if not about these paper's, then which adoption papers Naina was talking about?

Sameer replied, "Naina thodi der pehle aayi thi mere paas aur uske haath mein bhi aise hi adoption papers the... voh mujhse adoption ki wajah puchh rahi thi but I believe she was convinced with the reasoning I had given... mujhe kuchh samajh nahin aa raha yeh ho kya raha hai..." he told them how Naina questioned him about the papers an hour back and he confirmed that he was the one who asked to prepare these papers and wanted to gift her... but little he was clueless about the whole confusion created by a wicked person...

Preeti has no clue about the papers asked, "lekin ab Naina kahaan hai... ek servant ne thodi der pehle usey baahar mandir ki taraf jaate dekha tha, lekin voh vahaan bhi nahin hai ab... maine Chinni se bhi puchha lekin usey bhi kuchh nahin pata..."

Pandit seeing Sameer's tensed expression keep his hand on his shoulder, "don't worry, voh kahin nahin gayi hogi... lets go and find her..." though he himself was scared but doesn't feel like to get this expression come on his face...

Sameer gets too much nervous and confused on all sudden happenings... he planned each and every thing perfectly by his own and till few minutes back, everything was as per his wish... how come all of a sudden things turned up badly and now he himself has a bad feeling of something wrong has happened and he was totally oblivious how to sorted out... but first thing comes in his mind is to look for Naina and talk to her... she promised him to not to come out of the room to ruin his surprise so where did she went now suddenly after talking with him?

They all came back inside house leaving all preparations and look around for her... Sameer all alone went outside towards the temple expecting some hopes back there... but to his dismay Naina was not even there...

He prayed silently, "please Kanhaji, aaj kuchh galat mat hone dena... aapne hamesha meri Naina ka saath diya hai, please aaj ek baar mera saath de dijiye... maine sab kuchh sirf Naina ki Khushi ke liye kiya hai kyunki mein usey apne se dur nahin jaane de sakta tha... Naina aur Angel donon mere liye kya maayne rakhte hai aapko pata hai... aaj mein hamaare beech ki saari duriyaan mitane wala tha... Naina ko uski asli pehchaan dena chahta hoon duniya ke saamne... jo shaadi sabse chhup kar huyi thi aaj usey duniya ke saamne laane ka waqt aa gaya hai... mujhe maloom hai Naina ko baby ki, uske bhavishya ki chinta hai aur legally mein apni Angel ko adopt karke Naina ki saari insecurities dur karna chahta tha... nahin chahta tha ki koi meri Angel par ungli uthaye... usey har voh Khushi dena chahta tha jisase mera aur Naina ka bachpan vanchit raha hai..."

He wiped the corner of his eyes feeling extremely worried about her whereabout when his eyes landed on a piece of paper placed in pooja thaali... his heart thumped expecting something bad happened, getting negative vibes... moving closer he bent picking up the piece of paper which shattered his whole life once again... with trembling hands, he opened the paper and read...

Sameerji,

Mujhe maloom hai aap mujhe dhundhane yahaan jaroor aayenge... aapse maafi maangna chahti hoon ki aapse bina mile yun achanak jaa rahi hoon... aapne hamesha, har haalaat mein mera saath diya hai, mujhe sambhala hai... jin halaton mein hum mile the aur aaj hamare beech jo ek apnapan aur bharosa kaayam hua hai, uske liye aapka jitna bhi shukriya karoon kam hoga... aapne mujhe ek pariwaar diya, ek ghar jise mein apna kah saki... Pandit jaisa bhai aur Preeti jaisi dost kam behen mujhe aapke jariye mile... aur Nanu, jinhone meri zindagi mein kisi apne, kisi bade ki har kami poori kar di...

Aur aap... maine aapse voh paaya hai jiski kabhi ummid bhi nahin ki thi... aapke saath, aapki dosti ne mujh mein voh aatma vishwas jagaya jo mujhe zindagi mein kabhi haarane nahin dega... mujhe sahi galat ki pehchaan karayi, jhuthe aur bebuniyadi rishton se bachaya... mujh mein sapne dekhne aur unhein poora karne ki himmat aapne jagayi... zindagi ki har kami ko poora karne ke liye bohot bohot shukriya...

Lekin shayad inta sab hone ke baad bhi hamari kismat mein saath rehna nahin likha tha... aapne kaha tha ki contract poora hone se pehle agar mein jaana chaahun toh aap mujhe nahin rokenge... aur aaj voh din voh waqt aa gaya hai... mujhe pata hai aapko dukh hoga kyunki aapne hamesha meri khushiyon ke baare mein socha hai... meri zindagi ki har kami poori ki, lekin mein chah kar bhi aapki yeh aakhiri khwahish poori nahin kar sakti... mujhe maaf kar dijiyega kyunki aaj mein swarthi ho gayi hoon jo sirf apne baare mein soch rahi hoon... aapke saath zindagi bitana mera spana tha lekin jo keemat aapne maangi hai voh mein nahin chuka sakti ...

Aapse milna meri zindagi ki sabse khubsurat yaad ban kar hamesha mere dil mein rahegi... mein aapki bohot respect karti hoon aur chahti hoon zindagi mein aapko har voh khushi mile jo mein na de saki... hum saath the aur shayad kabhi ek dusre ko bhool nahin paayenge, lekin hamara saath sirf yahin tak tha... dua karungi hum dobara kabhi na mile, lekin mein kabhi aapko nahin bhool paaungi... zindagi bhar ke liye aapki har yaad, har ehsaas apne dil mein saja kar aap sabse bohot dur ja rahi hoon... ho sake toh jo galityaan jaane anjaane mujhse huyi hai, uske liye mujhe maaf kar dijiyega...

Naina...

Sameer remain seated there keeping the letter in his hand reading again and again... after reading her letter it seems that ground slipped beneath his feet, which he has never imagined even in his wildest dream... her each and every word indicates how much she loves him, and his happiness matters for her... unable to figure out what makes her forced to take such a harsh decision to leave him alone... she promised once at the same place in front of her beloved Kanhaji's idol that she will never leave him alone but today she broke all her promises... even without telling his fault...

He was still not able to figure out which demand or expectation of his makes her so depressed to take this drastic step... since morning they were so happy and there was no sign of any uneasiness, he observed... she met him an hour back and just talked about papers but to his dismay he didn't get a glimpse of paper, what exactly was written on it...

हम पर उन गलतियों के इल्जाम लगे

जब वक्त ही मेरे साथ ना था...

Since his childhood, he always believes it's his destiny to lose his beloved one's and Naina again proves this right... he never gets the love and feel of a complete family but she entered in his life seems the last ray of hope which also gone without any reason... he knew he forced her to leave earlier before the contract gets over in a heated moment, but things have changed drastically between them now... is this is the only thing she remember till now?

The way they were close to each other from last few months, their bonding, their friendship, their love, nothing matters to her... is he again gets failed to give her sense of security and in proving his love to her...

He planned everything perfect for her today, to give best surprise on her very special day but at last it all went so wrong... he wanted to consider creeping back to his room and never been think about something like this, but he knew whatever he can try his destiny always destroy everything, his happiness... he seems not destined for love and happiness... he was feeling like to be so lost in middle of nowhere... even didn't feel like to go and search for her.... feeling so helpless...

Her letter shows she was not forced to take this decision... it's her own wish to go away from him, "it's true and I accepted that I am destined to be alone in my whole life... but at least this time I need an answer from her for the reason of leaving me... I know it's her own wish to stay away from me and I may be the reason for her decision... whatever I did with her in initial days, she may be not able to forget that... may be she has not forgiven me till now, and I cannot blame her for that... but didn't I even deserve a chance to apologize... if she doesn't want to make me her life partner, we can still be remain as best friend..."

बहुत देता है तू उसकी गवाहियाँ और सफाईयां,

समझ नहीं आता तू मेरा दिल है या उसका वकील।

Though her letter clarified her thoughts, but his heart was not ready to believe on it... he knows her Naina cannot leave him like this after reaching at this stage of their relation... he had seen love for himself in her eyes and all their moments they spent together from last few days were the proof of their bonding, their love...

Suddenly it strikes in his mind that whatever be the circumstances are, he cannot leave her alone at her own... she has no other place to go and doesn't know much of people around... leaving all his thoughts aside, he quickly makes a call to Pandit and arrange sending all his guards in different directions of the city to find her... going back to his room he tried to search the papers Naina was holding but didn't find anywhere... seems she has taken along with her...

Sameer himself went out with Pandit and Preeti separately looking for her... they searched day and night in each and every corner of the city but didn't find any clue about her... days passed with shattering their hopes to get any idea about her whereabout...

Pandit's POV

After spending restless days and night in search of Naina, Preeti lost all hopes and falls sick... Pandit took care of her, but she was all lost in missing her best friend cum sister... it's looks like she again lost her family in such a short tenure... Naina was always there with her after her parents' demise but now losing Naina traumatized her completely...

Sameer seeing her condition, suggest Pandit to bring her at Maheshwari mansion to stay with them but she clearly refused... she doesn't want to go to the place which reminds her of her best friend... she lost all hopes from all relations thinking it's her bad luck and she is destined to stay alone... if she will gets engaged with Pandit, he will also leave her alone one day...

After few months, Pandit's parents forced them to get married but seeing Preeti's condition Pandit stops them... all tried best to convince her but since she was adamant to stay alone, Pandit and Sameer convince everyone to give her some time to cope-up with this sudden tragedy in her life...

Since that day, she engaged herself completely in work... though Pandit was still with her, but she was scared of getting into a relation with him, which she might lose one day... she still loves him and Pandit was ready to wait till eternity until she herself agreed to move ahead in their relation...

Even seeing Sameer in pain, he himself was shattered and doesn't want to enjoy his own life leaving his friend alone in darkness... he loves Preeti but lost his faith on marriage and bonding... mutually they both decided to not to get married until they are willing to do so by heart...

Flashback ends...

At Preeti's house...

Preeti return to her room wrapping the kitchen after Sameer and Pandit left with Munna... she noticed Pooja was sitting in her room as expected... since the time they had left, she was avoiding Pooja to initiate discussion but seems now she was left with no choice to face the reality and accept it...

Pooja giving an assurance smile, "ghabraao mat, mein kabhi tumhein kisi bhi baat ke liye force nahin karna chahti... lekin agar chhote kuchh galat karein toh badon ka farz hai unhein sahi raah dikhana... I hope you don't mind that..."

Preeti sits close to her, "didi aisi baat nahin... aap jaante ho mein kabhi aapko galat nahin samajh sakti... maine zindagi mein aaye har utaar chadaav ko himmat se sambhala hai, lekin ab toot gayi hoon... mein nahin samajha pa rahi apne dil ko ki kyun yeh naye rishtey banane se darr raha hai... lagta hai jab bhi ek naya kadam uthaungi aage jaane ke liye toh zindagi phir do kadam pichhe dhakel degi... mujhe phir akela kar degi..." her eyes turned wet missing her family and her best friend...

Pooja hold her hands firmly, "Preeti mein yeh nahin kahti ki zindagi mein kabhi koi aur mushkil nahin aayegi, lekin ek haadse ki wajah se hum jeena toh nahin chhod dete na... aur phir jo bhi hua us mein tum mein se kisi ki koi galti nahin thi... mein nahin mili kabhi tumhari dost se lekin itna daave se kah sakti hoon ki jiske liye tum logon ne apni zindagi aage badhne se bhi rok di hai, voh jahaan bhi hogi tum sabko jaroor yaad karti hogi... aur tumhein dukhi dekh kar shayad usey sabse jyaada dukh hoga..."

Preeti burst into tears which she was holding for so long, "toh usne aisa kyun kiya didi... maine toh hamesha uska saath diya tha... ek baar mujhse toh baat kar leti, magar us ne mujhe paraya samajh kar yun akela chhod diya... jab se voh gayi hai maine kabhi dobara kisi se uske baare mein baat nahin ki, yahaan tak ki uska naam bhi nahin sunana chahti mein... lekin sach kahun toh ek bhi pal usey bhool nahin paa rahi... aur jitna dard maine Sameer ki aankhon mein dekha hai, kaise maaf kar doon usko... Sameer ne kabhi hum se shikayat nahin ki, hamesha mujhe aur Pandit ko tasalli deta rehta hai... voh toh kisi se apna dard kah bhi nahin pa raha kyunki uski apni dream girl ne hi usey zindagi ka sabse bada dard diya hai..."

Pooja too feeling hurt for her brother, "Preeti isiliye toh kahti hoon ki ab tum sabko aage badhna chahiye... shayad ek ki khushi dusre ki zindagi mein bhi khushiyaan le aaye... aur phir Mummy papa bhi kab tak intzaar karenge... Pandit se jyaada voh tumse pyaar karte hai aur unka bohot man hai ki voh tum donon ko jald se jald ek hota dekhe..."

Preeti though still was not fully convinced but doesn't want to hurt her loved ones, who loved her immensely... she had lost one relation in her life but not want to lose more... she nodded slowly, "theek hai didi, agar Pandit bhi raazi hai toh mein iss baar mana nahin karungi... I know hamari wajah se sabko kitni pareshaani ho rahi hai lekin shayad aap sahi kehti hai... humein apna dard bhool kar aane wali khushiyon ko gale lagana hi hoga... lekin sach kahun toh abhi bhi darr lag raha hai, kahin hamesha ki tarah..."

Pooja pulled her in a tight hug caressing her back, "kuchh galat nahin hoga... hum sab hai na tumhare saath..." parting from her she wiped her tears, "dekhna iss baar mere ek nahin teenon bhaiyon ki zindagi mein khushiyaan vaapas aayengi... and promise me ki tum mera saath dogi... Pandit ki tarah baaki donon bhi bohot adiyal tattu hai, aasani se nahin manane wale..." she laughed slowly making her smile...

Preeti wiping her tears smiled, "teenon mein bhale hi khoon alag hai lekin dil, dimaag aur soch bilkul ek jaisi hi hai... pyaar paakar bhi usey kho dene ka dard teenon ne saha hai... bas ab yahi ummid hai ki teenon ki khushiyaan unhein vaapas mil jaaye..."

Pooja smiled taking a sigh relief that finally at least she was able to convince Preeti to get agreed for marriage... she hope Sameer and Munna will also be able to convince Pandit for the same...
