Devi stood by Paxtons locker waiting for him to come. She had no idea how to make him believe that it was him that she liked, but she knew she had to try, for Paxton. "Devi." Said Paxton, nodding at her. "Paxton, I really like you. I don't know how to make it clear to you but you have to trust me. I won't hurt you again, I won't cheat on you, I'll be perfect. I choose you." Devi slowly leaned in and kissed him. Zoe gasped and turned away, scowling. Ben stood, frozen by shock, holding onto Aneesa's arm. "Ben? Hello?" Aneesa said, before turning and seeing Devi and Paxton. Aneesa yanked her arm away, walking off, trying to hold back tears. She would never be as good as Devi, everyone liked her more.

Jonah cleared his throat. "Excuse me lovebirds, your compatibility test results came in, so I suggest that you ask whoever you got to the valentine's day fair. It was developed with M.I.T scientists, so it's defo-nitely correct. Trust me, I read every single one." Devi carefully took the envelope. Paxton took his and put it in his backpack. "You're not going to open it?" Devi asked. "Nah, I know we're the perfect couple, I don't need any dumb test to tell me that. Anyway, I'm like 99 percent sure we got each other. We're perfect." Paxton said, giving her a charming smile. "M.I.T scientists. Not dumb." Jonah said, scowling and flouncing away.

He handed Ben and Aneesa their envelopes. Aneesa walked over to Ben and read his card. She froze. "I can't do this anymore." She said. Ben crumpled the paper, dropping it into the trash. "What are you talking about? It's just a test, it doesn't mean anything!" Aneesa gave him a look. "It means everything. We're over." She stormed off. Devi raised an eyebrow at Ben, who walked away, his face pale. "Wanna have some dinner? After school? Just us?" Paxton asked. Devi nodded. "Sign me up."

Paxton opened the door and Devi walked into his familiar garage, noting the scent of margarita pizza filling the air. The two sat down and began eating, chatting about school, and life, and Devi's worry about the compatibility test results washed away. Everything was fine. She was practically positive that she had gotten Paxton, I mean, as he had said, they were perfect. Paxton leaned in and planted a kiss on her lips. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom, don't get into any trouble while I'm gone." He said, grinning at her. Devi grinned back as he left. When the door closed Devi turned towards the card sitting in the side pocket of her flowery backpack. She picked it up and slowly took off the envelope. She wasn't even worried anymore. She knew it would be Paxton. Closing her eye's, a smile on her lips, Devi turned the card over. Her smile quickly faded as she saw the name on the card.
