Kiss and Tell Pt. 2

I sat in my car in front of Abel's house, my lips quivering slightly as I tried to stop myself from crying.

Abel was sitting on the last step of his house, holding something to his head to stop the blood from leaving it.

I had finally given up on texting and calling when his phone went straight to voicemail and ran out there door as quickly as possible. My parents had been freaked out, and Oliver had tried to come with me, but I had stopped him, saying Abel obviously wasn't in the mood to talk to one. He probably would turn around and run up the stairs the second he saw me get out of the car.

I pushed the door open and walked out, smiling a little when he lifted his head and met my eyes.

"Hi." I waved a little as I moved closer to him, hoping he wouldn't go running off.

"Hey, babe." He whispered once I reached him, pulling me down and kissing me gently. I touched the cloth he had against his head to make sure there wasn't blood on it.

"Abe, are you okay? You didn't answer any of my class or texts and I was-"

"Calm down, Liv." He smiled, touching my hand, "I'm fine." He stayed quiet for a minute after that, his eyes searching mine.

"Don't start crying, they didn't do this. I just have a really bad fucking headache because of them. They're in there screaming at the top of their lungs at each other. I wish they'd just get a divorce already." I felt my lips part as I laid my head against his shoulder, feeling his arm circle around me and pull me closer a second later.

"I would have replied, but my phone died and my mom had my charger." I nodded, looking up at him through my eyelashes. I saw him smirk a little and started to prepare myself for some sort of dirty comment.

"You look so sexy when you look up at me like that."

And there it is.

"Thanks for being worried." He was serious again, "I was wondering when you were going to get out of the car though, you were in there for like ten minutes before you got out." I laughed.

"Sorry about that. I thought. . . I thought you might have been avoiding me for some reason or something." I mumbled. He looked ready to say something when the sound of his front door slamming cut him off.

"Abel, get your ass in here and clean up the God damn mess you made." His mother stood on the porch, her green eyes bloodshot as she glared down at us.

"You did it." He muttered, shutting his eyes.

"Abel, I will drag you by-"

"Shut up." I snapped, returning her glare.

"Excuse me, Olivia? When did I say you could come-"

"I don't need your permission to come see my boyfriend." I snapped, seeing Abel shake his head below me as I fought with his mother, "He's eighteen years old." She started to walk down the steps, her face growing even redder.

"How dare you talk back to me, child? I don't-"

"How dare you talk to your son the way you do? He's a human being, not a fucking dog!" The words left my mouth in scream, earning a wince out of Abel and his pounding head below me. She froze dead in her tracks on the last step, her mouth hanging open.

"All you've ever done is tell him how bad he's done, how much of a mistake he is. You don't say that to your child, do you understand how much it hurts to hear that? Do you?" I pointed my finger at her, "The next time either you or your husband lays a hand on my boyfriend, no matter how old he is, I will call the cops, do you understand?" She started to shake her head, but I had already turned around and grabbed at Abel's hand sometime during my yelling so he was starting to stand up.

"Liv, I think-" I cut him off, pulling him behind me. I was surprised when he didn't fight, but jogged to catch up with me instead. Once we were in the car, I revved the engine as loud as I possibly could and sped away from Abel's house, leaving his mom to stare after us through a cloud of dirt.

Once Abel started to feel a little better, we went back into my brother's room to talk to him about the next thing on the list.

He hadn't wanted to talk about what happened at his house, and honestly I didn't want to push at the subject all that much either.

"What do you want?" My brother grumbled, giving us a confused look when we walked in.

"We're doing the next thing on the list." I replied, throwing myself on to his bed and kicking at his controller obnoxiously. He sighed, setting it down and looking at me.

"Which is?" I grinned, poking at his stomach until he started laughing.

"Kiss a random stranger." Abel said, but he didn't sound too happy about it, "It shouldn't take too long, bro." My brother narrowed his eyes as he looked back and forth between us.

"So, are you two into that whole open relationship thing then?" He questioned. Before I could even open my mouth, Abel snorted.

"Nope. She's mine. It took my ten years to get her, I'm not letting her go now." He sent me a quick smile, "It's just on the list and has to get done." My brother nodded, yawning.

"All right, so when do you two want to go cheat on each other?" He joked. Abel and I shook our heads, both reaching over to smack him before Abel finally answered.

"Now's as good of a time as any."

**

I wrapped my arms around myself, scanning the crowd in front of us.

"So what do we do? Do we just walk up to someone and kiss them? What if they have mono or something?" I asked, looking over my shoulder at Abel. He was shaking his head, looking amused.

"Of course that's the first thing you think about. I recommend finding someone that looks like they take care of themselves and doesn't look like they're sick." I stuck my tongue out at him childishly as I started to walk across Starbucks to the man sitting by himself, scrolling through his phone. He was probably a year or so older then me, and was hot in a businessman sort of way.

"Hi." I said, leaning against the table and smiling as flirtatiously as possible, but it probably looked more like a grimace.

"Hey." He set his phone face down on the table beside his coffee and straightened out a little.

"You don't have mono or any other sort of disease, right?" He seemed a little taken back by the question, but shook his head anyway.

"I don't. Why would you ask that?" I smiled and brushed my hand along his cheek before pulling him down and kissing him. I could feel his shock as he kissed back, his hands taking my own face in them.

"Thanks." I backed away, smiling.

"Wait, what's your name?" He called after me, but I shook my head and waved.

"No need for that. Thanks again." I ducked behind a couple walking into the cafe and met Abel and my brother outside, both of them laughing.

"He looked so shocked." Oliver was still laughing his ass off when Abel wrapped his arm around me and brushed his finger under my chin so I was looking up at him.

"Was he a better kisser then me?" He asked. I smirked, running my finger along the dark bruise forming under his eye.

"Not even close." He chuckled and pulled back, nodding toward the Victoria Secret a few shops down.

"Uh, no." I said, leaning into him as we walked, "You're not going to kiss a girl in Victoria's Secret." My brother feigned an offended look.

"Why? Are the girls not good enough there for us?" I snickered at my brother's question.

"No. The opposite actually. You can go find someone in there." I nodded toward the Tilly's in front of us, seeing Oliver's face twist a little.

"Skater girls? Eh, I'd rather go to Victoria's Secret." He whined. Abel leaned down and kissed my forehead before making his way into the shop and leaning against stack of shoe boxes.

"Here he goes." Oliver whispered, rubbing his hands together evilly as Abel helped the girl on the ground up and kissed her. I felt my chest tighten a little and looked away, seeing Oliver giving me a knowing look.

"You're jealous." He started to poke my stomach, "Little Livvy is jealous." He teased in a baby voice. I rolled my eyes, trying to avoid the subject as Abel approached us again.

"Jealous? Who's jealous?" I sent my twin a dark look, hoping he got the hint. Being who he is, he only grinned and spun around to face his best friend.

"Olivia is. She had this bitchy look on her face when you kissed that girl." Abel smiled, his amused eyes falling on after a second. I shrugged, giving him a sheepish smile. It wasn't until we started walking again that he pulled me closer to him and whispered in my ear.

"Don't worry. I was ready to kill the lucky bastard you kissed too."
