Chapter 15
Good luck with this chapter.
(You'll need it)
Luke POV
Everything was going according to plan.
Gabe could be very smart at times.
As I was walking back and forth in my jail cell, a buff man stood in front of the bars.
"You're in trouble, mister." He said gruffly, smirking.
"Oh, really? Just get me out of here Berry."
Berry unlocked the door, and placed me in cuffs. He walked me out of the cell, down the stairs.
As we passed the first security patch, we walked towards the back of the prison.
"Hey! Where you taking him?" A police officer came towards us.
Berry took out his badge, showing it to the officer. "Heading to court."
"File?" The officer asked.
"In my office. Right next to yours. Better go check." Berry smirked as the officer went back to his office to check the file.
"Idiot." Berry scoffed as we walked out the back.
Berry carried me out to the back doors, where the truck was waiting.
Berry quickly uncuffed me, then got into the passenger seat. I climbed into the back, holding onto the seat as Gabe drove out.
"You guys are a minute late." Gabe muttered.
"Officer blocked our way." Berry quickly answered, before turning to look at his phone.
"Everything going to plan?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Percy fell in love in two seconds. Rachel is doing a good job. Annabeth will be yours in no time. And I'll have Percy." Gabe said, smirking.
"Glad the poison works. Good job Berry." I patted Berry's back.
He was our evil scientist. He made anything. He could get anything. He was an escapee from jail, escaped three years ago. Nobody ever found him.
"Plan to break the two up is a go." I smirked as we sped far away from the prison.
Annabeth will be mine.
*****
Percy POV
As I walked home with Rachel, all I could think of was Annabeth.
Who was she to judge?
I could be friends with whoever. Why should I-
"Percy?" Rachel asked, her emerald eyes gleaming.
"Yeah?" I looked towards Rachel's eyes.
"Everything alright?"
"Y-yeah." I sighed.
"Hey, it's Annabeth's fault, not yours. She's just an idiot." Rachel laughed.
I wanted to argue, but something in the back of my mind told me she was right.
What was happening to me?
"Y-yeah.." I said nervously.
"Well, instead of going home, can you come to mine? I have homework and I really need help." Rachel pleaded, her puppy dog eyes gleaming.
"Well..." I trailed off, but Rachel's eyes were beautiful. "Fine. But only for a half an hour." I sighed.
"Half an hour is enough." Rachel smirked as she pulled my hand and walked towards her house.
***
When we finally made it, Rachel pulled me towards her room. She pushed me onto the bed, then she walked to her closet.
She came out holding a serum.
"W-wh-what are you doing?" I asked, suddenly remembering of bad flashbacks with Gabe.
"Shut up. I don't get paid enough for this." Rachel sighed as she got closer.
"G-go away!" I raced towards the corner of the room, breathing heavily.
Suddenly, Rachel's figure began to flicker into Gabe's form.
I blinked, but it was only Rachel.
"It'll be fine. Don't worry." As Rachel placed her hand onto my shoulder.
"I'm sorry." She whispered in my ear.
She plunged the serum into my shoulder, and I automatically felt dizzy.
"You-" I fell onto the floor, black spot dancing around.
Rachel walked back to her dresser, calling a number.
She was on speaker, and when I heard a "What?" my heat skipped a beat.
I knew that voice.
A voice I knew too well.
It was Gabe.
"He's down. Come get him. Don't forget my money." Rachel snapped then ended the call.
My vision went black as I lost consciousness.
****
Annabeth POV
As I walked down from school, all I could think of was Percy.
How was he acting like everything is fine.
He acts as if he was never abused.
He acts as if nothing happened when we were trapped in that basement.
He acts as if everything is normal.
Those days in the basement will never be forgotten.
But apparently, for Percy, everything was just a dream.
Why should I care anyway? He said we were nothing important. We are just friends. Never will be anything more than that.
As I walked past an alley, a buff man snatched my hand, pulling me into the dark alley.
"HELP!" I shouted, but the man put his hand over my mouth.
I kicked and screaming, pleading for me to let go.
What was happening?
Why do I have such bad luck?
The man suddenly plunged something into my skin, causing me to lose consciousness.
****
When I woke p, I found myself tied to a chair.
Across from me was Percy.
The least person I ever wanted to see.
He was snoring, drool seeping out of his mouth as his head was tilted. He was also tied to a chair.
"Luke, I swear if this is your fault, I will personally kill you!!" I yelled at the room.
I knew someone would be watching.
Percy immediately woke up after hearing my yell.
He looked down at his hands, and began breathing heavily.
I glared at him as he noticed me sitting across from him.
"Annabeth? Where are we?" he asked, looking around the room.
"Does it look like I would know?" I snapped as I averted my eyes away from his.
"Oh and by the way, you drool when you sleep." I said quickly.
Don't get lost in his handsome..sea green...beautiful...
NO.
He has Rachel.
Stop thinking, Annabeth.
"Look, I know we fought during lunch, and I just have to say I'm-"
"I don't want your apology!" I yelled at him.
"But-"
"Shut up. It's bad enough I have to be in this room with you again. Three days later you'll just act like everything was normal. Like I was nothing to you." I said, tears streaming down my eyes.
"Annabeth, you're my friend-"
"Just, stop. I-I don't want to talk about this right now." I said, tears dropping onto my shirt.
"Well, well. Welcome back! We have extra fun things this week!" Luke came into the room, smirking.
"Aww, why the sad faces? Percy, why don't you cuddle with Annie to make her feel safe? Oh wait, you don't love her anymore!" Luke laughed.
I glared at Luke. "Don't call me Annie." I snarled.
"Okay Anniebell. You won't be in this country for long. You have officially been sold! For lot's of money might I add. I'm gonna be rich." Luke smirked.
Percy and I's head looked up.
I was sold?
What am I, a toy?
I'm being sold?!
But my family-
Hold up. I have no family.
What about my friends?
School?
I'll never see them again.
I'll never see Percy again.
But he should be fine. He has Rachel.
"You can't just sell her. She's not a toy to be tossed around." Percy glared at Luke.
I looked at Percy as Luke punched him in the jaw. I heard a sickening crack echoing through the room.
Percy tensed his jaw, still firmly glaring at Luke.
"She is a toy. Women are toys to satisfy men. It's a win win. Annabeth's a slut anyway. Should have heard what she was saying when I took her." Luke smirked and laughed.
"Oh you are so going to regret that," I said, wiggling in my chair, trying to break free.
"So women are here to satisfy men, huh? Wait until I fucking kill you and dance on your grave!" I yelled, and suddenly the ropes snapped.
"Ugh! I told Berry you were strong enough to break through the ropes!" Luke sighed.
I rushed towards Luke, and immediately shoved him onto the ground. I started repeatingly punching him on the face.
He rolled to the side as I took another swing at his face. But instead, my knuckled met with a concrete floor. I herd another crack, and felt immense pain in my left hand.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Luke said as he got up from the floor.
I growled as I got off the floor.
'Kick him where it always hurts. Works for me.' I remember Thalia always telling me the same thing over and over.
I smirked as I quickly kicked hard where the sun doesn't shine.
Luke howled in pain and stumbled back.
I quickly judo flipped him, sending him sprawling onto the floor.
I kicked onto his crotch one more time for satisfaction, then started punching his temples.
Luke already passed out, but I continued kicking, punching, and slapping.
"A little help here? I'm pretty sure that should be enough.." Percy said, wiggling his hands from the tight ropes.
I got off the floor, my bloody knuckles clenching.
But suddenly, Gabe walked into the room.
"Well. You are a tough one. But you won't beat me as easily." Gabe laughed.
Percy's eyes widened. I stumbled back, as Gabe came walking closer.
"Come on, girly. Show me what you got." He snarled.
I ran in for the punch, but Gabe quickly grabbed my clenched fit.
"Nice try." Gabe twisted my hand, judo flipping me onto the ground.
I groaned in pain as Gabe stepped onto my stomach.
He started kicking my ribs, and tears streamed my eyes.
"Leave her alone!" Percy's whimpering yell echoing in the room.
"Shut up kid." Gabe quickly punched Percy on the face, but Percy managed to bite his finger.
Gabe yelled and slapped Percy across the cheek. A red mark showed. Percy looked at Gabe, glaring into his soul.
"I'll deal with you next." Gabe snarled at Percy as he grabbed the collar of my shirt.
"Come on girly. Your punishment is waiting." Gabe dragged me towards the door.
"Annabeth!" Percy yelled, shaking his chair.
"Percy!" I cried out as Gabe continued to drag me out the door.
"Annabeth! Leave her alone!" Percy yelled, struggling against the ropes.
But Gabe shut the door behind him, and all I could hear was Percy's muffled yells.
"This will be fun." Gabe smirked as he dragged me towards another room, filled with dangerous weapons.
Knives, daggers, swords and guns were scattered around the floor.
An electric chair stood in the corner.
A chainsaw to the left of the room.
I was petrified.
I want to go home.
