It was freezing outside...when I transported myself out of the apartment, I thought of many locations where I could just end my suffering. But I still wanted to keep my promise to him, and the only way that I could think of doing that was forcing myself to forget, and go into an eternal slumber.

The black and red hedgehog skits to a stop over the tundra that is north of any major city, and lands on Mobius, the falling snow that is hitting his quills and clothing, his body didn't react much to the freezing temperatures, after all his body was made to adapt to any climate conditions, another reason why he was immune to a lot of diseases. He only clinches his hand over the emerald that he is holding.

I'm coming, Maurice...

He thought to himself as he just placed the emerald into his pocket, of his jacket...focusing his energy into the palm of his hand, with a soft exhale he threw the spear right onto the ice that he was standing on. The soft sound of the ice cracking was heard underneath his feet.

As I took a step onto the unstable surface of the ice the cracking only intensified before I felt the weight of my body just plummet into ice-cold water below.

I just felt my body starting to freeze, as some bubbles escaped from my nose and lips...I didn't struggle as I started to sink below the surface, the dim light of the sun being the only light source of that small opening that I had made.

I felt something in my body. I don't know what it was...but it felt like all the weight that was on my shoulders had been lifted, as I just let my lungs fill up with the icy cold water I finally shut my eyes.

"Shadow!"

The black hedgehog's ears twitched slightly at the voice, his eyelids started to flutter open, and he was met with a very lush field, of flowers and grass...the sound of birds chirping and the bright sun shining down on his face, it took him a moment to process where he was since the last thing that he remembered was falling into waters of tundra close to Holska, Mobius.

The blue hedgehog leaned over the other, with a smile on his muzzle. "I was wondering when you'll wake up...Silly Hog." The blue hedgehog said with a slight chuckle.

The black hedgehog, only stared up at the blue hedgehog that was in front of him, "Maurice..." he stammers out his hand reaching up to touch the blue hedgehog's face, but before he could the blue hedgehog only pulled away from his touch...his expression shifting to a rather disappointing one. The black hedgehog knew that the other wasn't happy with him cause of his actions. "Maurice...I."

"No, don't be sorry...what you were going through must've been hard, and I can sense it."

The black hedgehog couldn't keep in his own emotions as he just pulled the blue hedgehog's head down so that their lips met. He had waited for this moment to just feel the other's lips against his own, every hour that they spent on the ARK...at first he didn't understand what those urges were, or what this feeling was...until now.

The blue hedgehog was shocked by the sudden kiss on his lips...he could just feel his heart pounding against his ribcage, not that he hadn't kissed the black hedgehog before, but it was always on the cheek and forehead like all good friends do...but this was something that he had always dreamt of doing his whole life.

The black hedgehog pulled his hand away from the blue hedgehog's head so that he could sit up. "I understand these Emotions...it wasn't loneliness that I was feeling when I had regained my memories back, it was a Heartbreak." He only placed his hand on the blue hedgehog's cheek, as he felt tears starting to form in the corner of his eyes. He didn't want this to be a dream, not when he had felt that void finally before filled, and his heart no longer felt like it was in pain. "Maurice...I love you, and I've always had...and being without was pure agony"

"Shadow I..." the blue hedgehog noticed the tears in the other's eyes, he only gave a warming smile taking hold of his hand, and standing up taking the Life Form with him. "I love you too, and I've always had."

The black hedgehog felt a little tug on his arm as a smile forced its way onto his muzzle.

"Sayonara, Shadow The Hedgehog"

The black hedgehog looked up at the clear sky, hearing whoever had called out his name, he only shifted his gaze to the blue hedgehog, before he followed behind him down the hill.

Finally, he felt happiness...the happiness that he had missed for fifty years of his life after that painful experience back on the ARK.
