Chapter 1
(Lucia-Poleen's P.O.V) Her eyes in the picture.
I was back in my forest, but I wasn't scared because I felt a broad shoulder behind my head, spooning me on our forest floor. They twirled my hair, around a large, masculine finger and ran their other hand over my shoulders. I was just about to turn around to see whom my warmth was, when I was awoken with an "Lucia-Poleen Dexter!" By Stacey Beck. She just disturbed the one of the best dreams I've ever had.
Stacey is my 10th foster mam, and she is quite laid-back compared to the social workers and other fostering parents. She has a short, dark Bob, and brown, coffee eyes to match her hair. She was really pretty, and would have been the perfect mom.
I go and jump in the shower and just as I switch the water on, I freeze. There is someone knocking on the door downstairs I realise. I hear Stacey talk to someone called 'Jim' and I just ignored their conversation.
My weird 6th sense is always alerting me to the fact that stuff is happening for a few miles away. I learnt not to say anything at all about it after my first foster mom sent me to 'the hospital'.
It was like a rehab/science lab altogether. I was prodded time and time again scars appearing after most of the tests and questioned over and over.
Eventually, I learnt to keep my mouth shut- always. I was basically a mute except I laughed sometimes to myself. Always by myself, because I was too busy moving from home to home all of the time.
I walk out of the shower, after getting washed and dried. I also, dry my dark, brown hair and look in the mirror. I see my violet with sprinkled gold eyes framed with dark, long eyelashes. I was an oddity obviously. Probably why my birth parents dropped me off at the local church in BattleBay. Pretty pathetic name for a town, believe me I know.
The shower was in my en-suite, so I walked out of the black tiled room, and shut the door closed around me. Stacey only had a two-bedroom house and it was actually quite spacious. The room was a white, in contrast to my dark black bathroom. My double, mahogany bed frame matched my wardrobe and my drawers and desk.
My desk had a little, white laptop I used for my homework on, and a white pot where I had my pens and pencils.
I walked to my wardrobe, seeing my clothes, that are ordered from different shirts to different shoes and the colours of them all. I pull out a white tank top and some high-wasted denim shorts along with my white and pink flip-flops. I swiped on some foundation and curl my lashes. I curled them for 30 seconds each and then put on my mascara. After that, I grabbed my nude lipstick and also swiped it on. I searched through my drawer and found a pair of silver studs, silver bangles and a wolf necklace. I had been told, it's been with me since the day I was found. I grabbed a silver satchel and shoved some school equipment in.
"Bye Stacey!" I write on the whiteboard on the fridge, after grabbing a snack pack of Oreos and an apple, along with my lunch money left on the bench next to the fridge. I was officially ready to face yet another of these messed up freaking schools!
I walked into Stacey's two-car garage. My red truck was parked next to her's, which was a little, black Ford. I grabbed the keys off of the dashboard, and proceeded to my truck, where Don't Mind by Kent Jones was playing. I really found this a fun up-beat song, so I sang along, in my head.
I groaned as I neared the front gates, knowing that it was going to be yet again, another year of school.
After parking at the near back, I slid out of my sleek, red truck and locked her up, while only getting a few weird stares from girls, and awed eyes from the males, to whom I didn't acknowledge.
