Barry internally fumes as he stares again at Shannon's newest Facebook post, the photo of her coffee 'get together' with HIM.

Harwood.

Thaddeus 'Thad' Harwood.

His old Dalton foe.

And he just can't help himself, falling down the Facebook wormhole to look up Thad's page. Scrolling through his posts and photos.

A dissatisfied groan leaves Sebastian's ('Barry' he needs to keep reminding himself) throat as he examines photo after photo of the oh so perfect life of his old nemesis.

Harwood used to argue with him non-stop when they were both Dalton boys, quarreling about EVERYTHING.  Fighting about song and solo selections, lacrosse game tactics and her.

Mostly her.

He knew, back when he was more Sebastian Smythe than Barry Allen, that Harwood was not so secretly sweet on his girl.

Sniffing around anytime she would come to visit.

Those shy, stuttering conversations in the cafe that he would interrupt as soon as he saw them happening.

Shannon was his.

Shannon IS his, at least in his heart.  His mind.  And now she's back in Ohio working at the same school as Harwood, around him day in and day out.

Barry gives a frustrated sigh as he runs a hand through his messy hair.  Ruffling it even further before he jabs his finger on the exit button to close out Facebook.  Going back to his lab work before someone comes up looking for him.

"Never thought you would have ended up back in Ohio, Shann. Or that you'd be so pleasantly single..."

She sighs, looking sadly down at the table.  Voice barely above a whisper as she responds.

"Trust me, I know...."

Thad's hand is surprisingly gentle as he reaches across the table to tentatively touch hers.

"What happened? With you and Smythe I mean. You know you can tell me anything, you used to back then at least. Or I hoped you would try to."

The sordid story spills out before she can even give it a second thought.

Of their times in college.

Getting his dream job in Central City.

Falling for, marrying and having kids with Iris.

Everything down to seducing her after the Star Labs holiday party.

The only parts Shannon leaves out are the ones dealing with Sebastian (Barry, she reminds herself) being the Flash.

Thad's brows furrow above his understanding brown eyes as she finishes her tale. Gently he squeezes her hand.

"I'm sorry Shannon, sorry that he hurt you and led you on.  I'll always be here if you need to talk, I've always been here...."
