Hayyyyyyyyy :D
I'm kinda sick
But a promise is a promise
So here you go :3
~Kritika~
"You're forgiven." I said through a mouthful of chocolate cake.
"Good to know." Lucas said, nursing the black eye he got from me punching him.
Just kidding, I just kicked him hard causing him to fall backwards out of his chair. Oops? Anyway, I had whined and whined until he had had enough and bought me some heavenly chocolate cake to shut me up. It was doing a good job so far.
"You're worse than a pregnant woman." Ricky laughed.
"Only when it comes to food." I said, looking at Luke apologetically "Want some?" I held a tiny spoonful towards him.
"Wow, such a huge bite." Brianna said, faking a shocked expression. I winked at her and we high fived with my free hand.
"Oh hell no." He said, backing away "I don't want a Part two of what happened."
"It was an accident." I groaned "You induced some sort of.. leg spasm in me. I'm sorry. I really am."
"Awww." He cooed "Okay, I forgive you." He said
"Really?"
"But on one condition."
"What?"
"This." He said, lifting the cake and taking a huge chomp out of it.
"Not fair." I yelled, snatching it from his hand and holding it like it was a small child "I said you could have some. Some equals one tiny bite." I growled "Are you okay my Choco? Did evil Luke hurt you?"
"You named the cake?" Brianna laughed "Hey, don't laugh. I love it that much, okay?" I sighed, placing it back onto the plate carefully
"Wait, so logically you shouldn't eat it." Luke shrugged and I raised an eyebrow at him "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah." he said seriously "you see, I'm evil, you said that yourselves. But, you're not."
"Your point?" I monotoned
"That's what my point is. You love it, I don't. So it's only logical for me to eat it. So.." with that he picked up the cake again and took another bite out of it.
"You." I shrieked "you smooth talker! You.. Y-you cake stealer!"
"It was just one bite." He shrugged, wiping his hand on a tissue.
"Yeah, right. Two bites. More like mega bites. Or giga bites. Almost all the chocolate is gone." I complained
"Oh shut it, sister." He said , flashing a brown chocolate filled smile at me. Idiot.
"Eat quickly. I'm actually thankful to Luke for doing that. You've been having it for almost an hour now." Stacey scolded me "We have to go to the airport, remember?"
"Sorry." I mumbled, quickly shovelling in whatever was left of the cake.
"Need help?" Luke asked slyly.
"No thank you." I said, bringing the plate away from his reach "you cake murderer, you murdered my Chocy. You're a murderer and I'm going to get you arrested." I pointed at him accusingly "you evil, evil person."
"So, if I eat the cake I'm evil but if you do it, it's not?"
"It was my cake."
"I bought it."
"But it was for me."
"Airport." Stacey yelled "I'm not afraid to leave without you." she said getting up
"Wait!" I yelled louder than I had intended and she jumped "Holy crap, woman. I'm only going to the bathroom for now. Relax, will you?"
"Yeah, relax will you?" Luke repeated and I narrowed my eyes at him "you're officially un-forgiven."
"Aww don't be like that, little one." he cooed, pinching my cheeks "Go to hell." I muttered, swatting away his hand.
"As a matter of fact, that's where I'm going. I have my class." he said, getting up and retrieving his bag "Adios amigos." he said.
"Don't come back." I called after him
"You're going to miss me." he said without turning back.
"Airport?" I heard Ricky ask me and I nodded.
"My mom and dad are coming back. Finally. I missed them." I heard from behind me.
"Back so soon?" I asked surprised "my aren't you the peeing champion."
"I see you haven't finished that cake yet.." she said and I widened my eyes throwing the rest of the cake into my mouth and giving her a thumbs up. She shook her head and patted my arm "relax, I was only kidding. There's still time for their plane's arrival. It's been delayed."
"Again?" I said through the mouthful
"Kriti, honey, chew first speak later." Why does this feel like deja vu..
"Your parents?" Ricky asked Stacey
"Uh huh, they're coming back today." Stacey said calmly but I could see she was excited the way she spoke animatedly.
"From where?" Ricky said, very gracefully wiping his greasy hands on his jeans.
"Okay.. I'll pretend I didn't see that." Stacey said "And.. from India. They've gone to attend some.. wedding thing."
"Quick question. Your parents are both Indian?" He asked her
"No."
"Tell me already." he groaned "one thing for sure, your dad's definitely not Puerto Rican."
"Nope." she laughed "and.. he's Gujarati. Well, half. He's half British too."
"What? Gujarati?" He asked, looking mildly surprised "the dhokUhh, wait. So you're both Punjabi, correct?"
"How do you know?" We asked together.
"How does he know what?" A different voice asked
"I thought I asked you not to come back
" I said dryly "Aww, don't be like that little one." he said, sitting down beside me "my class was cancelled."
"Oh.. was it really?" I questioned
"Nah, I just wasn't in the mood to have Mr. Hannigan spit on me like last time. That bloke's spit flies at a hundred meters per second." he shivered.
I had to laugh at that "okay getting back to you Ricky, how did you know? That we're Punjabi?"
"Is it that hard to guess? Your sur names. Besides, I have Punjabi friends."
"Wow, that technique wouldn't always work you know?" I shrugged
"Well, am I right?"
"Uh technically." I shrugged "I'm a half Punjabi half Tamilian."
There was a pause "Nice."
"You have no idea what that is, don't you?"
"Nope."
"Thought so."
"You know." Luke interrupted us "What you're talking about must be important from your tone. But all I get it blah de blah de blah. It's all going over my head." He said.
"Oh don't worry, this conversation is over, Luke." I patted his shoulder sympathetically "besides, do ethnicities even matter?"
"They do, at family gatherings." Ricky joked causing me to huff out a laugh "True that."
"It's worse for me though." Stacey said
"It's your name, hon." I laughed "..definitely your name." Stacey huffed "big whoop." she muttered under her breath
"I love it though." I piped in "..agreed guys?"
"Uh huh."
"Absolutely!"
Ricky just stared at us "Actually, will you kill me if I say I have another question? Regarding that?"
She sighed "I think I know where this is going."
"Uhh..forgive me if this sounds rude.." he said "But why is your name Stacey? It's definitely not an Indian name."
The spoon in my hand slipped and clattered down onto the floor with a loud clang. His head snapped to me in reflex.
"Uhhh I'm sorry I shouldn't have a--"
"Luke!" I exclaimed gleefully "Pay up. Yes! I win. Oh my god I freaking won." I yelled, doing a little jig.
"Awh, man." Luke groaned "You just had to ask that question out of all the possible ones hadn't you? Thanks a lot dude."
"Well pay up, dude!" I yelled in glee, extending my hand at him. "Greedy twit." he muttered, handing me a twenty.
Ricky looked at me like I'd suddenly sprouted a plant on my head or something.
"Okay, would somebody care to tell me what's going on?"
"You see, this question was sort of a given." I explained "It is like.. the golden question. There's not one person who hasn't asked her that question.." I emphasized "And there is a very interesting reason behind it."
"Well then tell me, I'm curious."
"Curiosity killed the cat." Brianna pointed out.
"Well yeah." Ricky said "but hey, satisfaction brought it back. So tell me."
"Gather around children, it's story time." Luke said dramatically.
"So.." Stacey took in a deep breath "Well you see my mom wanted to name me Arshi, which means a queen. But my dad wanted to name me Stephanie, which means royalty. Also, it was the name of his mother." she explained "they debated about it for quite some time before realising both the names basically meant the same thing. So they decided to merge the two. Luckily for me, the resultant name actually made sense. So there. And here I am today, in all my glory." She finished with a little bow.
"So wait, Stephanie and Arshi. So that makes.. Step-shi.. No. Ste-shi? Stecy.. I'll be damned. Stacey! It really does make Stacey. Wow. And what does Stacey mean?"
"Productive."
"I cant even.. wow.. this is just.." he seemed at a loss for words.
"Don't worry everybody gives the same reaction. It'll pass" she said, patting his arm.
"Ookay." He said slowly before suddenly clapping his hands together "This is too much to take in. But.. I need to go. See you tomorrow."
"Wait, don't we have to leave too?" I asked Stacey. She sighed "the plane got delayed." I bit my tongue and nodded my head "Right, I keep forgetting that. So, I guess, bye Ricky!"
"Where are you going though?" Stacey asked
"I have uh.... work to do?" He said not sounding very convincing "later, people. Bye Luke. Bye girls." He quickly threw a glance at Bri that I almost thought I imagined it.
"Tariq wait!" Bri exclaimed loudly a few seconds later causing me to jump in my seat. "Uhh.. Bye guys. I need to uhh.. Go too. I mean, I need to go."
"What's the matter Bri?" Stacey asked her.
But she was already gone. I saw a glimpse of her blonde hair as she practically dissapeared out the cafeteria door.
Okay, that was so not weird.
Nope.
Not at all.
Oh who was I kidding? Something majorly fishy was going on here.
And I'm going to find out what.

Two words
It's abrupt
Sigh. I'm sorry :|
I'll edit this chapter tomorrow. I'm just really really sleepy right now. Like the one-step-from-crashing-face-down-onto-my-bed sleepy.
So if something looks like gibberish, know that it's my sleep making its presence known.
Next update soon :*
Love you all
