Chapter 19 - Never Be The Same Again
~ ~ Chapter Nineteen ~ ~
"It's my birthday and we're gonna party!" Phil walked right in through the back door, singing at the top of his lungs and way off key, making me, Amberly and Dougy all cringe. Amberly even jumped a little, spilling her coffee over her mug.
"Why are you coming in through the back door?" I frowned, trying to think up of a suitable reason but failed.
Phil shrugged as he hugged me from behind with a big grin, "Because it's my birthday and I can do what I want to."
"Not in my house you can't." I argued back playfully.
"Uh, yeah. I'm the birthday boy, is it your birthday? No. It's mine, so what I say goes today and today the back door is the front door." he smirked.
Waving my hand in front of my nose as I screwed it up slightly, "It also seems the birthday boy has given himself some early birthday drinks." I glanced at the clock and it was only ten am still, great, hopefully he will drink heaps and just pass out early arvo? We can only hope.
"Yeah, dosn't everyone?" he asked, standing up now and looking at the other two.
Amberly pulled a face and shook her head while Dougy smirked and nodded. I rolled my eyes at him, shaking my head.
Phil shrugged it off and walked over to the fridge and helped himself to a beer, "Excuse me?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I nodded at the beer in his hands.
He grinned, "Birthday present?"
I thought about it for a moment and nodded, "Least you're still easy to please with gifts." I chuckled. Even when I was younger I never spent no more than ten dollars on a present for him, once all I had to do was go for a drive with him and Dougy around in his car - which was a piece of crap but hey, it was his first car.
"Make that beer from me too." Dougy smirked.
Phil shook his head, "Nope, I expect a paid for stripper from you."
"I got you that last year." Dougy muttered.
Amberly had to cover her mouth to hide her laughter but I didn't even bother, "A stripper? You that desperate Philly boy?" I teased, holding my stomach.
"Hey! It was free!" Phil retorted, then suddenly looked around the room, "Where's your boyfriend? I thought he would have been here by now."
"He is, he's sleeping still." I muttered as I took a sip from my coffee.
"Sleeping?" Phil asked in a confused tone.
"Yeah, you know when your eyes are closed? Sleeping." I muttered back sarcastically, then smiled, "He came around early this morning and must be still tired."
"Yeah, since you kept him up for awhile first." Amberly snickered.
Phil smirked at me and Dougy groaned, sounding like he was dying. I shot Amberly daggers, "No I did not."
"Uh, yeah you did, I had to hold the pillow over my head to try and block you two out, I eventually found my earphones and shoved them in and cranked my music up." she teased.
My reaction was to kick her under the table as I felt my face heat up. My brother is sitting right next to me for crying out loud! Can you say disturbing?
"Ouch!" she squealed, then looked up at me in shock as he reached down and rubbed her leg, "You kicked me! You actually kicked me Lee-lee!" she cried in disbelief.
"Then don't talk about it." I hissed back, hoping she would just stop in front of Dougy.
Her eyes flickered over to my brother for a quick second and then she smiled when she seen my red face, "Naw, sweetie, having sex with the love of your life is nothing to be embarrassed about." she cooed.
I glared at her.
"Alright, my ears are officially bleeding, I do not need to know what my little sister gets up to in her bedroom." Dougy shuddered, "Gross."
Phil cracked up into laughter, "Did you just get a mental image?"
Amberly laughed long and hard about that, my face turned more red and I stared at Dougy mortified while he glared at Phil with disgust, "Hell no!"
"I bloody hope not!" I half shouted.
"I didn't!" Dougy shouted back.
"You did!" Phil laughed.
"That's gross Dougy." Amberly teased.
I turned my glare onto her, "You started this Ambo, it's all your fault!"
She rolled her eyes at me, "Please, all I said was-"
"We don't need to hear it again!" Dougy shouted, jumping to his feet and staring at her horrified that she was about to go on about it again.
She giggled, "Okay, okay, calm down you two."
"Man, this is the best birthday ever so far." Phil grinned from the kitchen counter. I picked up a wooden coffee coaster and flung it at his head, hitting him in the cheek, "No picking on the birthday boy!" he laughed.
"My house, my rules." I snapped back with a small smile.
Amberly cleared her throat.
"Fine." I groaned loudly, "Amberly's house and rules too."
"Thank-you." she smiled.
"It's still my birthday!" Phil shouted again.
"No one cares!" Both Dougy and I shot back in unison, then looked at each other and laughed.
Phil walked off to the lounge room, mumbling to himself something along the lines of 'self-centered friends' I just chuckled at his immature behaviour as I headed off for a shower. Dougy offered to do the breakfast dishes, which stopped me in my tracks while I stared at him.
He stared back then told me to get out of the kitchen or he won't bother and Amberly went to watch TV with Phil. While I was in the shower I could hear Phil singing happy birthday at the top of his lungs to himself.
"Will you shut the hell up already Phil!" Baden suddenly roared from the bedroom, making me laugh quietly to myself.
"It's my birthday though!" Phil shouted back.
"No one cares!" Dougy shouted, "Anyway! Lee said you have to shut up or she's not gonna talk to you for the rest of the day!"
My mouth dropped, I'm in the shower and said nothing like that! "I did not Dougy! Stop lying!" I shouted out, adding to the very loud conversation that was going on.
"Hurry up in there! I want one too!" Amberly shouted out to me.
"You will regret lieing to me Dougy!" Phil called back out.
"Why am I in the bed alone and you are in the shower alone?" Baden suddenly shouted out again but not sounding so angry and annoyed this time.
I laughed, "Because I actually want a shower and you were sleeping!"
"No hanky panky when I'm around!" Dougy shouted angrily.
"Shut up Dougy! It's my birthday!"
"Shut up already Philly!" I shouted.
Man, will this day ever end? Phil seems to have gotten worst with age about letting everyone know it's his birthday and how we are all meant to make him feel loved and special on 'his' day.
Wrapping a towel around myself I quickly dried off, pulled a pair of jeans on and a black halter top, that revealed a slight glimpse of my stomach but I didn't plan on going anywhere today. Large arms wrapped around my waist as I stepped out of the bathroom, still drying my hair.
Smiling I turned around in Baden's arms and snuggled up to his warm naked chest, closing my eyes for a few seconds and just enjoying the feel of safety and love he gives me.
"Morning beautiful." he smiled, tilting my head up and kissing the tip of my nose.
"Right back at you." I smiled as I reached up and pulled his face down to mine, our lips crashing together softly until something wet landed against the side of my face.
Turning my head I glared at Dougy as Baden picked up the wet tea towel off my shoulder, "I said no hanky panky while I'm around." Then he turned and walked back into the kitchen, calling out to Amberly as he passed the doorway to the lounge room, "Bathrooms free."
Smiling at my brother who has truly taken to my best friend and accepted her, even with her past. He treats her almost like he would treat me now, but not as much since they haven't really known each other for all that long.
"We were kissing, that's all." Baden called out after Dougy, who had disappeared out of sight by now, "Last night was enough to keep me satisfied for a few days." he mumbled quietly to himself.
My cheeks heated up as a small smile spread across my lips, for I can truly say the same. Damn, does he know how to please and satisfy me in the bedroom.
"So adorable when you blush." Baden chuckled as he kissed the top of my forehead, "Now - what's for breakfast woman?"
I raised an eyebrow and he laughed, "Joking, joking....I'll make it myself." and then he quickly dodge away from me before I could hit him.
"You're just lucky I'm in a good mood." I warned him but then the smile cracked.
Phil had planned the whole day out for us, Caveman would be getting here real soon and then we were to go to the beach for the afternoon and then we were going clubbing tonight. I wasn't so sure because of the pub incident but Baden promised me he wouldn't hit anyone this time.
Though, the boys all have something 'to take care of first', so Amberly has convinced me that we will just meet them there.
I had to laugh when the front door knocked and Phil pushed his way past Amberly to open it like it was Christmas morning and the door was the tree with all the presents underneath - that's how excited he looked.
He opened it slowly and only a little bit, peeking in through the gap, "What is wrong with you? Normal people use the front door!" he hissed.
"What the hell are you on? This is the front door dumb ass!" Caveman snapped back, he gets impatient and very antsy if you are in his way of seeing Amberly - which is exactly what Phil was doing to him right now.
"No, this is the back door for today, didn't you get my message?" Phil asked.
He had stepped back a little bit, but we still couldn't see Caveman. Amberly was laughing quietly, Baden and Dougy were shaking their heads and I heard them make some sort of bet on how long it takes for Caveman to just slam the door open into Phil.
"No, now bloody move." Caveman snapped angrily.
Phil wagged his finger at him, "It's my birthday, you have to be nice and do as I say." he lectured.
"Oh great." Caveman moaned, "I think your birthday should be erased off the calendar, this is too annoying to deal with every year."
I had to laugh at that one, it was a pretty good payout from Caveman.
Phil looked like Caveman had just shot all his dreams down, "What? You don't mean that!"
Turns out that was all Caveman could take, so within the next second, he had rammed into the door with his shoulder and sent it flying open into Phil, trapping him between the wall and door while Caveman continued to press on it and smirk at him.
Phil was pulling some pretty memorable facial expressions, "Let him go now Caveman." I muttered, though it would have been more fun to watch Phil being squished than going to the beach.
"I hate that name." Caveman muttered as he walked over to Amberly and pulled her in tight to him, a huge love filled smile on her face as she looked up into eyes. Gag moment. I turned away and walked into the kitchen where Dougy was handing fifty dollars over to Baden.
Stepping out of my room in a pair of dark skinny legs, my black ankle boots and a blood red off the shoulder top with a black belt around my waist, I glanced up at Amberly who looked absolutely hot, she turned and grinned at me, giving me the thumbs up.
"Looking smokin' hot sweetie." she winked.
I raised an eyebrow, I know I looked casual compared to her in her strapless deep blue coloured dress, that ended just above her knees and she wore black heels with straps that wrapped around her leg halfway up her calves.
Shaking my head at her gently, I smiled, "Ready?"
Walking towards the front door of the club, we could see the two huge scary looking bouncers standing there, one was holding a group of girls back and shaking his head, while the other watched on. The line was on the other side of the door to us, so we had to walk past and down to the end of it.
Glancing at about thirty people already in it, it didn't seem too bad, it could have been more.
"Hold up." a deep voice ordered us.
Both of us stopped walking and laughing as we turned to look at the bouncer who had just been watching the other one, he was staring at our faces, "Leila and Amberly?" he asked, as if he wasn't sure.
Amberly looked at me with confusion, I shrugged and turned back to face him, "Yeah?" I asked slowly, not knowing where this was going. I hope we haven't been banned or something stupid like that but then again, it would ruin Phil's birthday....
"Baden said you girls would be coming." he smiled a half smile, then unlatched the red rope and motioned for us to enter.
Amberly glanced back down the line, still unsure but I grabbed her hand and began pulling her towards the door, I wasn't waiting around if we were getting in right away.
Chorus of moans and complaints spread through the line of people but the bouncer standing in front of it quickly shut them up with some not so polite words and threats.
Just as we stepped past the guy he called out once more, "If anyone gives you girls trouble before the boys get here, come get us." then he folded his arms back over and it was now that I noticed the big thick black tattoo in old English writing saying 'Johnson' across his arm.
Now it made sense.
"Thanks." I smiled politely.
He nodded, "We look after our girls....unlike some people." he added a little harshly, "Have fun tonight and tell Phil I said happy birthday." he smiled.
I rolled my eyes and groaned, "Man, don't keep reminding him, he is driving us nuts about it."
To my surprise the other bouncer laughed and I turned to face him, he looked oddly familiar but I couldn't remember where I had seen him before but he had a scar above his right eye and looked a little rough looking.
He smiled slightly, "We met years ago, at McDonald's, I was with Dougy and you were skipping school."
I tilted my head slightly to the side, still not getting it, then a light bulb went off, "Oh yeah! I can't remember your name but now I remember you, that was the day I got chased by a security guard and Baden knocked him to the ground and Dougy was all like 'you need to be in school'." I mimicked his voice, making all four of us laugh.
"Man, I can see why Baden has it bad for you girl." the first bouncer chuckled.
I nodded, feeling a blush coming on, "Well, I'm Leila and this is Amberly, but you already knew that." I smiled.
"Craig." the one from McDonald's all them years ago grinned, holding his hand out and shaking mine, then Amberly's.
"I'm Earl." the one who first called us over said, he too shook our hands, "Now get your butts in there and have some fun." he winked.
Amberly laughed, "Okay, we're going, or Lee-Lee will be out here all night chatting your ears off as an excuse to not dance." she teased me as she grabbed my hand and pulled me in.
I waved a bye over my shoulder.
The music was loud and vibrating through my body, a smile was plastered on my face as I followed Amberly towards the bar for a drink. People were everywhere, most girls barely wearing anything and making me feel like I was dressed like a hobo but in all honesty, I really didn't care. I was comfy and knew that my knickers weren't showing - unlike half the girls here.
After a few drinks me and Amberly headed out onto the dance floor, a few girls from work were here tonight, so we were dancing with them until the guys showed up, which Baden messaged me not long ago and said they would be late.
I could feel the sweat lightly layered on my body, I was thirsty and my head was a little light which meant I was already tipsy, so leaning over to Amberly's ear I shouted that I was going for another drink, she nodded and asked for me to bring her back one.
Smiling I weaved my way through the thick crowds towards the bar, I was almost there when someone roughly bumped into my shoulder, his back to me, shooting the back of his head daggers as he turned around to face me, my eyes widened in shock.
Fear engulfed my body and I felt frozen, I wanted to scream, to run away, to attack, to do anything but nothing would happen.
