Annabeth's POV

"Winter break is only a day away!" Piper exclaimed.

"Please. We need this more than you do, Pipes. You've only been here for, like, a month." I said, Reyna, Leo, and Percy nodding along.

"Well, a break will still be nice. What are we doing for Christmas, people?" Piper asked.

"I normally spend it with my mom." Percy shrugged. Everyone just nodded. We tended to avoid the subject of Percy's home and family life. "Speaking of, by the way, you need to... formally meet her." Percy looked at me.

I cleared my throat. "Um, okay." I nodded and smiled. Percy was so open to meeting my father, that it was only fair I was the same way with his mother.

"Well, we all need to hang out. I should throw a party!" Piper said.

"Sounds good to me." Leo agreed.

Reyna nodded. "I'll go. I can help out as well."

"Yeah, I'll help set up, Pipes." Jason added, putting his arm around his girlfriend's shoulders.

"A party could be fun." Hazel shrugged. "Why not?"

"You could bring Frank." Reyna smiled and nudged her.

"Maybe I will." Hazel said, crossing her arms.

"Good." Reyna and I said in unison. We laughed afterward.

"Annabeth, Percy, you down?" Jason asked.

"I'm only going to watch Leo flirt with Calypso and completely fuck it up, so, I guess I'm in." I said.

"I'll go, as long as you keep me away from the alcohol." Percy looked to me.

"On it. You could drive then." I agreed.

"Great! Start spreading the word, party at my house!" Piper said loudly, people already catching wind of the party.

><•><

"How does this look?" I asked Piper, turning after looking in my mirror.

"Um. Ew." She said. "You've got this all wrong, Annie."

"What did I tell you about that name?" I glared at her, though she was too busy sticking her head in my closet to see.

"How about this?" She completely ignored my question. She turned around, an outfit in her hands.

"I'll try it." I said as I took it from her. It was a pair of tight black ripped jeans, and a red sleeved—to just above the elbow—crop top just as tight as the pants. I grabbed a pair of heeled black booties that would look great with it.

I pulled the clothes on and looked in my mirror. The jeans fit perfectly, accentuating my hips. My tanned stomach was exposed, showing off my abs. My curves looked great, and I was happy with the outfit. "Okay." I said. "This is good." I turned looking from a few different angles.

"Damn, nice ass, Chase." Piper said.

I laughed. "Shut up." A few moments of silence passed. "It does look good though, right?"

We laughed. "Of course it does." We laughed even harder.

"Alright. Now I will show you my outfit." Piper quickly changed while I put on some red lipstick. She stood next to me at the mirror in a red minidress. It came to mid thigh, and was perfectly fitted to her shape. The sleeves came to her mid bicep. She looked great.

"Damn, Pipes." I said holding out the 'a' in damn. "Get it!" I called. Piper posed a few times, and then we both burst out laughing.

"I think we're ready for this party."

><•><

"Sup, Asshole." I nodded to Percy as I walked towards his car.

"Haven't heard that one in a while, Wiseass." He smirked. I'm sure the only reason he wasn't tripping over his words was because I was wearing my coat, hiding what's underneath.

Percy wore black jeans, and a red t-shirt under his unzipped coat. I shook my head, sighing.

"What?" Percy asked.

"We're matching." I said.

"We are?" He raised an eyebrow. "How?"

I leaned in, my voice just above a whisper. "You'll have to see the party." With that, I walked around to the other side of the car and got in, leaving Percy stunned for a few seconds. I smirked.

><•><

"Hey guys!" I shouted as we walked into Piper's already filled house.

Jason, Leo, Calypso, Hazel, Reyna, and Piper all greeted us at the door.

"What's up!" Reyna hugged me quick, and I greeted everyone else.

"Let me take your coat." Piper said. "I'm sure Percy can't wait to see what's underneath." She whispered to me.

"Shut up." I quietly laughed. I smirked, handing her my coat. Percy handed her his as well. Then he turned around to face me, and stopped.

"Uh..." he stared at me.

Everyone watched us, and I had to admit it was a little embarrassing, but more so for Percy than me.

"I'm pretty thirsty, let's go get a drink." I started to walk towards the kitchen, and everyone followed it suit. I had to go back and pull Percy along, he was still a bit stunned.

"You look amazing." He said finally, blushing.

"Thanks." I said, fighting back my blush. I needed to keep up my cool facade. I couldn't let it slip, for then my reputation might as well. We joined the others.

"Oh my god!" Hazel said. "I just realized you two are matching!"

I took a long sip of my drink. "Unintentionally." I said.

Leo smirked. "Yeah."

Calypso nudged him. "Leave them be." She muttered, though I heard it. I gave her a smile and she shot me a wink.

"Alright, Piper, we need to fix your taste in music." I said.

"Agreed." Percy laughed.

"Let's go put on some good music." I grabbed Percy's hand and we headed into the crowd towards the DJ.

We requested a few songs, and the music began to play.

Oh oh oh, the good the bad and the dirty
Oh oh oh, the good the bad and the dirty
Truth, is that it was always going to end
The symphony buzzing in my head

I pulled Percy along and we started dancing. We sang along to the lyrics, and just had a good time. I laughed a lot, especially at Percy's shitty dancing.

If you wanna start a fight, you better throw the first punch,
Make it a good one
And if you, wanna make it through the night,
You better say my name like,
The good the bad and the dirty.

A few more minutes of dancing and I was out of breath. I walked into the kitchen where I could catch my breath.

"That was fun." I laughed, Percy joining me. "Want water or soda?" I opened the fridge.

"Water please." Percy sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"Here." I tossed him a bottle.

I took another beer, taking a sip. A few silent moments passed between us. They were a little awkward, but it could have been worse. Then one of my favorite songs came on.

I put my drink down. "Oh my god we have to go dance to this right now." I smiled hugely at Percy as he put his water down. I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the living room.

We've waited so damn long
We're sick and tired
I won't leave any doubt
Or stone unturned

I started jumping around, and just full on jamming out because I love this song. Percy danced along with me, and he had the biggest smile on his face. Eventually, I decided to help him out a bit, since his dancing was kind of awkward. I grabbed him in a slow dance position, but we rocked faster than a slow dance, to the beat of the song. He spun me and I couldn't stop laughing. I'm sure that I was bright red.

Show me your love
Your love
Give me more but it's not enough
Show me your love
Your love
Before the world catches up
'Cause there's always time for second guessing, I don't wanna know
If you're gonna be the death of me, that's how I wanna go

We danced to the song, and it was the best dance that I had ever had. I was happy, and I was with Percy. I couldn't stop smiling. When the song ended, we made our way back to the kitchen.

I smiled and quietly laughed as I blushed at the ground. "That was fun, Jackson." I looked at him and my smile grew a fracture of an inch wider. His eyes were bright and happy, and he was smiling too. "Thank you."

"Always." He smiled at me, igniting a fire in my stomach. Sparks flew and butterflies were born and all of this was going on at once. You can imagine how I felt.

"I should go find Piper, you should find the guys. See what they're up to." I smiled and walked out of the kitchen.

"Pipes!" I yelled when I saw her.

"Anna! What's up, girl?" She asked. She was definitely tipsy, but hey, I was too. I hung out with the girls for a bit, Reyna, Piper, and Hazel. We danced and we drank.

"Hey, I gotta use the bathroom." I said.

"Okay, right upstairs." Piper said.

"Thanks." I put my cup down and headed up the stairs. Surprisingly, I didn't stumble considering I was drunk. I knew that I was drunk.

I waited outside of the door that Piper had directed me to. I leaned against the wall, and took a deep breath. Things were going quite well, and I was pretty sure that wasn't just the alcohol talking.

"So we meet again."

I turned to see who had just spoken from behind me.

"Castellan." I scowled. "What the fuck do you want?" I asked. My voice was angry, and clear. I could hold my alcohol and usually didn't act drunk until I was really drunk. Which, I wasn't just yet.

"Come and dance with me, I'll show you a good time." He flashed me a winning smile, holding out his hand. "Promise."

"I'd rather sit outside with the trash. Not that it would be much different." I glared straight at him. His smile didn't waver, and it seemed that his confidence didn't either.

"Come on. It'll be fun." He insisted, grabbing my wrist.

"No, get off of me." I tried to shake him off, but his grip only tightened. I didn't move from where I was, trying to keep my feet planted.

"Come on!" He pulled me away from the wall. But when we got to the stairs, he passed them. He headed the other direction, towards the bedrooms.

I felt one thing in that moment:

Absolute fear.

I kicked and punched and fought him, but he didn't let go of me. And when I tried to scream, he clamped his hand over my mouth. He opened a door and shoved me inside, locking it behind us. I fell to the floor, stumbling. He yanked me up by my wrist.

Luke roughly grabbed my chin, forcing my face just inches apart from his. He looked me straight in the eyes. "I've wanted you from that day in the hall. Even after you hurt me. Yes, I was angry, but I was willing to forgive you." He shoved me against the wall. "I resisted, but now I can finally have what I want." He gave me a cruel and completely insane smile. He gagged me, making it so that I couldn't yell for help.

I wasn't scared.

I was fucking terrified.

I was helpless. I was intoxicated and Luke was about five times my size and on the football team. There was nothing I could do. I realized that no matter how much I fought him he wouldn't let me go. And words, words were useless. He wouldn't listen, and nobody else would.

"There's no point in screaming, no one will hear you, and even if they do, it's not like they care. No one cares about you. No one but me." He started to pull at my shirt, still holding both of my wrists with one hand. I squirmed, making it harder for him. I would do anything to stall. I pushed him away with my foot, kicking him in the stomach. I went for the door, but he grabbed me, this time pushing me into the bed and quickly getting on top of me, making it so I couldn't move. He pinned my hands again, and this time, he got my shirt off. He started roughly kissing me down my neck, and my chest. His lips were chapped, and they felt horrible against my skin. He moved lower down on me, trying to unbutton my pants. I saw an opportunity and took it. I kneed him in the stomach, being able to move my legs. I wriggled my hands free, pulling off my gag, throwing across the room.

"Help!" I started to scream at the top of my lungs. I was desperate. For anyone, even a stranger, to help. Luke went to get back on top of me, and I tried to fight him off, but he won.

"HELP!" I screamed again.

"No one is going to help you." Luke clamped a hand over my mouth.

Just then, I heard someone messing with the doorknob. I was so happy I almost started crying, but I couldn't. Not now. I bit Luke's hand, and screamed again.

"HELP!"

Then, the door burst open, and Luke was pulled off of me. I saw the figure of someone punching Luke, beating the shit out of him. I then realized that figure was Percy.

"Percy!" I pulled him off of a very bloody, very unconscious Luke.

He turned around to me, and wrapped me in a hug. It didn't matter that I was shirtless. It only mattered that he saved me. That I was safe now. I cried a few tears, but I restrained most of them. I couldn't afford to break down here. I felt Percy's chest rise and fall, his breathing heavy. Mine was the same.

"Here." Percy pulled off his sweatshirt and gave it to me. I put it on, zipping it up. It felt nice to have clothes on again.

"H-he—" I tried to speak but I choked on my words.

"It's okay, you don't have to tell me." He stroked my hair and looked into my eyes, and his irises were sad and angry. "Come on." Percy picked me up bridal style, and I curled into his chest. He carried me down the hall and the stairs. I didn't care if we were making a scene, I just wanted to go home. I pretended to be asleep. I heard Percy telling the others about leaving. Him lying by saying that he found me passed out up stairs. I wish that had been true.

But no.

The truth was much scarier.

Much worse.

Percy gently placed me in the car and we drove back to my house in silence.

"You need me to carry you in?" He asked.

"If you can be quiet enough. Helen should be asleep." I said.

"Okay." Percy picked me up again and carried me inside. He somehow made hit to my room without tripping, falling, dropping me, or waking up Helen. He placed me on my bed. "Are you okay?"

I shook my head. "He..." I took a deep breath. "He tried to rape me." I whispered. Tears streaked my cheeks and they didn't stop coming.

"I know." Percy said, his voice low. We spent a few minutes in silence. I wanted to be wrapped in Percy's arms, but at the same time I didn't. I was scared to. And Percy somehow could sense that. "Do you want me to stay?" He asked, deciding to take my hand. I let him.

"Can you?"  My voice sounded timid and scared. I hated it. I wasn't like that. I wasn't timid, I was loud. I wasn't scared, I was fearless.

"Yeah." Percy nodded. "I'll sleep on the floor."

I was about to protest, but I thought it would be better if he did. I nodded, barely being able to keep my eyes open.

"Get some rest, I'll figure it out." Percy stood up, standing next to me as I laid on the bed.

Luke threw me on the bed, towering over me.

I shook those thoughts away. This wasn't Luke. This was Percy. Percy wouldn't do that. I tried to convince myself that Percy would never do that, but my mind had other ideas. I knew deep down that Percy would never, but my mental state was too fucked up at the moment. I decided to just got to sleep, giving Percy a nod.

I was hoping for a peaceful night's sleep after what I had just endured.

But of course not.
