I Am Not Beating The Little Brother Allegations???
A/N: I have hills I will die on, and this is inspired by that one Hajime mini talk where I ALWAYS choose that one option that makes Hajime push forward his observation about Eichi-onii-chan and Aira looking like brother when they 'closely talk to each other' and get along well. I still scream just reading that. And like, who are we kidding? Eichi and Aira look similar in their cards except for their eyes. How many times have we mistaken Aira as Eichi if not for the eyes????
Aira was still an idol stan despite being an idol himself so he still had kept up with old social media accounts and fanfic accounts about idols. Because all his fans know that he was an idol who was an idol lover, some people had speculated any pro-idol social media account or fanfic account might even belong to Aira and that there is an idol lurking around the fandom, reading their stuff and knowing how he was raved about by fellow fans. Half the fun was letting his fans figure out whether that's true and amusingly reading any debates in threads of his official social media account when a fan would boldly ask for any truth about the speculations.
It was honestly fun reading threads that argued whether Aira Shiratori was too busy to have an idol stan account or not. He would take this any day than reading a... rather disturbing and heart jumping out of his throat thread that chose to grace itself in his idol stan account.
Aira was your average everyoneP but even he had idols he had biases over others. He was strongly an EnSquareP especially to StarPro which was why he even joined them and was so glad he was accepted to his first choice. It was thank to this StarProP-ness that a lot of fine, Trickstar, RYUSETAI and even ALKALOID when it had grown enough popularity to find themselves in the fans' glance where each and every of their members find themselves as posts to scroll through in his idol stan account where he likes, repost and comment like any other idol stan.
He just didn't think he would actually see a conspiracy post about him and Eichi in his account! And the most mortifying post, backed up with 'proof'...
Aira Shiratori and Eichi Tenshouin Are Brothers - The Truth
He shouldn't even look at the thread with how mortified he felt but he read through it and even the comments...! Out of morbid curiosity!
He had been reading about how he was a secret Tenshouin out of a wild love and hiding as a spare unaware about his true origins as he lived a normal life disguised as quarter French to hide the possibility of Tenshouin because Eichi's parents had not been in the country and Aira could look the French part if needed, which explained why he's quarter French but was never taught French and did not take to the language.
However, Eichi must have known as a sickly heir because the family let Eichi pursued an idol career instead of fully grooming him to become the heir of the zaibatsu because they knew that he did not have long to live and they could rely on the spare to take in the reins when the inevitable happened. So when Aira went into StarPro where Eichi's own unit worked, it was something of fate.
Unfortunately, while the family allowed Eichi to be an idol, they did not want Aira to be because looking into Aira's background, he was not exceptional enough as a secret rich heir and did their best to undermine his idol career for him to give up and pressured his 'parents' to dissuade him and set him a path that would give him the assets of a rich heir, hidden all from Aira. It was what made him an underachiever and there was a chance when the restructing happened but unluckily for them, Eichi was a part of StarPro like Aira.
No one really knows why Eichi would go for a limb for such a secret sibling but some speculated through unconditional love for family or something deeper considering the heir problems. But it was indisputable that Eichi formed ALKALOID and giving them a chance instead of outright firing them. Switch had a hand in helping ALKALOID and everyone knows Tsumugi was once a part of fine. Even after ALKALOID managed to save themselves from getting fired, Eichi must have pulled some strings because not only is Eichi Aira's boss, he ended up being roommates with him which surely was no coincidence...
That thread had also been heavily referencing a single fanfic that expands the 'Eichi and Aira are brothers' conspiracy. The comments were also mostly readers who had heavily agreed with the thread thanks to the fanfic and consider it canon, a hill they will die on.
Again, morbid curiosity won over Aira even though the thread convinced whatever fanfic it was would definitely be crack with so many plot holes that cringeworthy won't even cover it, especially because he was the subject of said fanfic. And he was right when he started with the prologue where it starts with Aira scrolling through his phone when Eichi came up to Aira unawares, tapped his shoulder to get his attention and announced:
"Shiratori-kun, I know this is going to sound too much but we are going duet... as brothers."
Aira, the real one and not from the fic, looked up in surprise in his room as the very real Eichi looked seriously at Aira as the latter now looked at the fic with the same exact lines and then at Eichi, processing what just happened...
"Apollo strikes again???" Aira blurted out.
"... Excuse me?"
***
"Please stop laughing, Tenshouin-senpai!" Aira pleaded, as he was now seated opposite to Eichi who had still been holding his hand over his mouth in a fit of giggles. Rei was standing between Aira and Eichi, with him glaring at the latter. Aira wished he could erase the last few moments, just to save himself from this embarrassment.
"... haha... Shira... tori-kun... heehee... I... that fanfiction... I did not think it could predict... and then... you..."
"That was all nonsense! That was all crack! Please forget everything I ever said, Tenshouin-senpai!"
"Let me get this right," Rei cut in, "So after Tenshouin-kun announced to Shiratori-kun about duetting as brothers, Shiratori-kun said something about Apollo and..."
"... Hee. 'A- are you... haa telling me that I really am your hidden... pff- brother that was made to be a spare for the Tenshouin family and that you have been secretly helping behind the scenes when I became an idol because the Tenshouin family didn't approve? Could this be all... hahaha true?' Quote-unquote from Shiratori-kun. Did I get that right?"
At this point, Aira had cupped his entire face into his hands, red from so much blushing and mumbled, "Yes senpai..."
Aira knew it was completely ridiculous to blurt out what he did without any context whatsoever, or even with any context but honestly the fanfic had reached Simpson level powers and he wanted to know whether any of that was true. He personally didn't know what to think of all that but if the fanfic really turned out having Apollo and Simpson powers combined, he would probably die of embarrassment from all the events that could possibly happen, for real this time. He had even started making a plan to thwart any events like how reincarnated villainess do when they reincarnated into an otome game and try hard to prevent their own deaths, something he knew from manga his fans had recommended to him or discovered himself.
"OK," Rei said, and from the little that Aira can see, was still glaring daggers at Eichi who finally stifled his laughter to a stop while tightly clutching his stomach. Rei continued, "So then... Tenshouin-kun here thought it was a good idea to go along with it and said that everything was 'true', about being a secret Tenshouin-kun and his brother and that's when I walked in..."
"Ahaha, it was a really strange coincidence you know? That you had walked in the moment you heard me saying Shiratori-kun was my brother and then you coming up to us, saying 'It's true all along???'"
At this point, Aira was still keeping his silence, waiting for this tenfold pain to go away before he could retain his dignity and stare up to the senpai he admire. At the back of his mind, he was thinking about Keito's offer about moving to other dorms if it proves too much for him to room with his childhood friends but Aira knew his answer was the same as always.
The pain (embarrassment) is worth the happiness just by being in such rabu~i idol presence. Even if he were to room with any other idols, he would still experience this pain. There was a time in Pretty5 that Hiyori asked whether Aira would have liked to live with him instead of that 'dastardly' Eichi. Aira couldn't answer, and luckily didn't have to when Tori took over the conversation as a diehard Eichi fan to call him out for even putting dastardly and Eichi in the same sentence.
Briefly, Aira had wondered why there was any bad blood between Eichi and Hiyori considering the fact that they had been in fine together and Aira had not read any dissent or argument although bad blood was a good explanation as any within theories why ex-fine disbanded. Then, he would learn that Eichi and Hiyori had been childhood friends thanks to their households and considering his limited knowledge of the rich could only come up with his own theory about the kind of drama you see with rich people in TV. That being besides the point, Aira had daydreamed about living with Hiyori and tried hard not to combust. In conclusion, his tenfold pain would still be the same just by living with Hiyori, let alone bringing the mysterious Kanata Shinkai into the mix.
Also, despite his tenfold pain, he enjoyed staying with Rei and Eichi who had treated him well enough, had mini tea parties and basically rooming with the angelic leader of fine, Yumenosaki revolutionary who was also his boss and the demon king of UNDEAD who is a part of the mysterious Five Eccentrics and speculated to be the leader... and also the fact they were wonderful senpai to him... why wouldn't it be enjoyable???
It didn't make the pain (embarassment) he sometimes experienced like right now hurt any less though...
But he was slowly getting over it so coming out from his hands, Aira asked, "Why would you think that I was Tenshouin-senpai's brother, Sakuma-senpai? I mean... I could never be the brother of such an amazing person. And please don't bring up the PowerPoint presentations! Explain to me in plain terms!"
"It's more the other way around," Rei mumbled, as Eichi was the one who put his phone back reluctantly. Aira's hands had to resist cupping his head as he painfully remembered the moment Rei believed the Aira-Eichi brother relationship, it somehow derailed to Eichi and Rei having a best brother contest and Aira had to jump at them, even snatching away their phones when they were about to show off PowerPoint presentations about the 'absolute love I have for Ritsu and why we are the best brothers for each other' vs 'why Shiratori-kun should call me Onii-chan no matter how shy he is to say it when Hajime-kun already does'.
No matter how much Aira actually wanted to see that PowerPoint presentation (he totally did take a peek the moment he confiscated their phones), he also didn't want things to escalate into absolute chaos like how things usually do when Rei and Eichi's arguments start becoming long-winded. As much as Aira also wanted to hang on to every word of their arguments because it was basically idol information, he also wanted to get to the bottom of him being Eichi's brother despite not wholly processing it.
"In the end, I'm not even Tenshouin-senpai's brother," Aira sighed, "So seriously, why do you think that? Why was I chosen to duet with Tenshouin-senpai as brothers when there are a lot of brothers here???"
In the end, Aira really was not Eichi's brother as he later confirmed it. All it took was for Aira to hand back Eichi's phone after Aira demanded an explanation and being shown the 'It's a prank~', stating he had always wanted to do this again. Just seeing Aira and Rei's reactions was also enough for Eichi to break the dam of laughing he had been holding up which finally led to their present.
"If it had to do with brothers, Ritsu and I would do a perfect job," Rei grumbled, "So how is it you somehow got a job with Shiratori-kun that had to star as brothers in the first place?"
Both Rei and Aira were awaiting an explanation from Eichi who sighed and later put himself up to it:
"Alright... Shiratori-kun, about why we have to duet as brothers and about how people think you are my brother, it all started when Producer helped me fine tune the details of the proposal and finally got approved..."
'Wait, people? How many people think I'm Tenshouin-senpai's brother???' Aira wanted to say but processing the whole sentence, there was something he couldn't help blurt out:
"What? You did what, Tenshouin-senpai?" Aira asked, his brain appropriately in shock.
"What? We could do that?" Rei asked, shocked for another reason entirely, "I could have made proposals to duet with Ritsu and get closer to him all along?"
"Producer actually helped you and got it approved???" Aira continued asking, overriding Rei but he was too much in shock to care.
"Yes, and surprisingly, it started with..."
***
It started when Eichi was relaxing with FLAVOR where they had a rare meeting with all members present despite their busy schedule. They have each brought snacks for their little tea party, each complimenting the tea and snacks that they have all brought.
"That cake is delicious, Kazehaya-senpai. Where did you get it?" Hajime asked, after enjoying every desert. Eichi brought another batch of tea that was regarded warily after that one time he brought an original tea blend called Potion of Emperor. Come on, his tea blends were not that bad~
Hiyori brought his favorite quiche this time to the tea party and it wouldn't be FLAVOR without Ritsu's baked goods but it was Tatsumi who surprised everyone by bringing an intricate cake for their tea party.
"Ah, it's from a limited edition menu for a cafe's anniversary that Aira-san introduced ALKALOID to. Since there was a FLAVOR tea party coming up, I decided to take the opportunity to take away the cake from Aira-san's recommendation. I am glad that you enjoyed it," Tatsumi answered.
"Eh~ It's not as great as my cakes but it really is delicious. Too bad it is a limited menu..." Ritsu said, getting fed by Hajime because he likes to be pampered.
"And it is quite pleasing to the eye~" Hiyori said blunty, unintentionally dissing Ritsu's baking skills for the absolute irony where he could bake the most delicious things with the most unpleasing appearances, "And this came from Aira-kun? He really knows his way around desserts."
'Yes he does,' Eichi thought, remembering the times that Aira prepared deserts for them during their little tea parties or serving as peace offerings/blackmails depending on the situation. Truthfully, Aira has no idea about how much power he has as a kouhai to his senpai with his puppy dog eyes and sly eccentrics beneath his politeness to idols he admire.
They had stopped underestimating Aira Shiratori after their first ever tea party. He could still vaguely remember the 4D chess moves, Rei accusing Eichi privately whether Aira was a spy after the fact for the both of them, and in between having casual 'banter', puppy dog eyes, desserts that Eichi was 90% sure were bribes and reassurances. Somewhere along the lines, Rei and Eichi actually let their guards down from Aira's care and love towards them as idols and wanting to know them better despite his cute hesistance and shared more than they wanted to.
To this day, Aira was using that as prime blackmail material after accurately figuring out the elaboration from a brief past Eichi and Rei accidentally shared to Aira to use it when he worries over his senpai and wants peace and quiet from their banters. It was lucky he rarely uses it because Aira states that he respects his senpai too much to but still...
The dynamic was established henceforth, because they fell victim to the puppy dog eyes and were extremely touched by their kouhai's loving care towards them when worrying about Eichi's frail health or Rei's vampiric lifestyle and wanted to be a great roommate by accomodating them as much as he could. They usually return the favor but they usually don't mind teasing their roommate in turn, as a reminder how they let Aira have blackmail over them and might have been petty about it as well.
It usually leads to fun results for both Rei and Eichi, and condolences to Aira from others for unknown reasons which perplexed both of them because Aira was usually the one who started the dorm's shenannigans that leads to the 'fun results' that have caused a few idols headaches. How could they not have known? It's really a mystery. To this day, Eichi wondered whether Rei's accusation about Aira being a spy for both of them held some merit but there was so much paranoia they could hold onto.
"Fufu, there are always delightful treats when it comes from Shiratori-kun," Eichi finally said as a contribution to their ongoing conversation, "I have never gotten tired from his recommendations as they always matched well with the other snacks in the dorm~"
"Oh yeah, you live with Aira-kun in the dorms. It is still surprising that he's able to live with you. I wonder what brainwashing you did that he even rejected living with this fabulous yours truly," Hiyori commented off-handedly, with Aira now being a subject for petty banter but wasn't bad as far as conversation goes.
"Or how he's able to live with Anija, but people are built different, I guess. Unless both of you somehow perfected a brainwashing machine that we have no idea about," Ritsu said, yawning and blearily looking at Eichi as if he were seconds away from sleeping.
"Fufu, who do you think I am to make something like that? Even when I have all the money in the world... but if Sakuma-kun and I have made a brainwashing machine together, wouldn't he have used it on you so that he can be your perfect Onii-chan~"
"Bleargh," Ritsu said, suddenly wide awake and looking at Eichi disdainfully, "Even from you, that was a poor joke. Even when I know you don't think Anija is someone like that."
"Honestly, I'm sure there was no brainwashing involved," Tatsumi reassured everyone, "Aira-san told me that you and Rei-san are admirable senpai he respects and I am sure you have bonded well after the time you spent together. Like how we all did with our roommates."
"You are right about that. Next to Maa-kun, Mikarin is real good at taking care of lil' ol' me," Ritsu said, reverting back to his bleary eye state as he suddenly rested his head on Hajime's shoulder who long gotten used to it but smiled with blush forming on his cheeks at the sudden gesture.
"At first, I didn't know Hidaka-senpai and Hasumi-senpai very well but over time, I can now ask for Hidaka-senpai for help with acting or approach Hasumi-senpai and talk about books or with some help with my homework~ It's a wonder what living together in the dorms does," Hajime added.
"I'm not so sure about bonds," Hiyori huffed, "But well... they are nice to Bloody Mary and I guess you can say there is never a dull moment in the dorms. But even then, it's not like we don't have our ups and downs with our roommates. I'm sure there has to be times when you didn't show admirable sides to Aira-kun, right? I just hope it wasn't too much for him."
Eichi narrowed his eyes, wondering where this particular jab was coming from even when they were particularly harsh against each other as childhood friends, such as Hiyori always asking how Eichi is not dead every time they meet in such a common fashion that it was getting old real quick. Then again, he belatedly realize that within ES, there were particular cute idols that bring about a need to protect them within other idols in various degrees and that could never be hated, especially with people they were close to.
Aira was one of those cute idols, with his puppy dog eye power working wonders and has yet to truly fail on any other idol, with his sincerity that would eventually win over idols with Hiyori as one of them being a Pretty 5 member and caring more about his pretty pals the more they spent time together but somehow having a softer spot for his kouhai. It would seem that it was not only roommates that would eventually bond well~
Hajime, another one of those cute idols people find hard to late, decided to de-escalate the situation that might come out of Hiyori's statement by saying, even a tad awkwardly, "I'm sure nothing like that happened and it's not like we are perfect but personally, I think Shiratori-kun and Eichi-Onii-chan get along well like brothers."
Like brothers, huh? There were times that Eichi wondered about the weird likeliness that the duo had except for their eyes and obvious height difference but Aira could safely pass off as his younger brother, sharing similar interests and bonding over them. It was still a shame that Aira refused to call Eichi his Onii-chan but deep down in Eichi's heart, Aira did feel like a younger brother to him like Hajime does and if he had been a normal boy with a normal life... he wondered if he would end up like Aira.
But those what-ifs were useless.
Before the conversation could continue, the sounds of books falling down had all of FLAVOR looking around to find Anzu having tripped and dropping all the paper and files near them. Since FLAVOR had always held their events at ES garden, it was always unsurprising to run into Anzu and they wasted no time rushing off to help the papers and files which seemed too much in her hands.
Tatsumi and Eichi have helped off-load the files and papers into their own hands, even when Anzu tried to stop them.
"I don't want to disturb your Circle meeting," Anzu insisted, but the rest of FLAVOR turned down Anzu's insistence.
"The load was too much for you, Producer-chan and it would do no good for you to keep constantly tripping and falling. This will just help bring these files to your destination faster," Eichi reassured.
"The Circle meeting isn't going to run away from us anytime soon either," Tatsumi chipped in, "So please don't worry. It is a pleasure to help people in need, Producer-san."
"If you insist," Anzu finally relented, before suddenly changing topics, "Uh... I actually overheard your conversation, but... is Shiratori-kun actually your brother, Tenshouin-senpai?"
That question was enough to startle the rest of FLAVOR, with Eichi and Tatsumi almost dropping the sheaf of files they were holding for Anzu before Eichi looked straight at Anzu and answered neutrally:
"I have been an only child my whole life, so I'm fairly sure that Shiratori-kun is not my little brother."
"Ah, I see. Sorry for the out of the blue question but I must have misheard things and find myself almost believing... well, forget it," Anzu said, before taking back what she wanted to say. All that had done was make the idols curious and Hiyori made no effort to voice it out.
"You can't just leave us hanging there, Anzu-chan," Hiyori demanded, "That only makes us more curious and it will be a warui hiyori if you leave us in the dark like that. So why don't you tell us because I assure you we won't forget it."
"I... uh..." Anzu said, seeming to be at a loss of words that felt misplaced from the self-assured Anzu they were normally used to before she seemed to collect herself with a sigh and continued, "It's about a job for Tenshouin-senpai that I shouldn't be revealing about the details so that's why I ask you forget about it."
"A job? Just for me?" Eichi asked, not remembering any solo work that was in his schedule, "This is the first time I'm hearing it."
"Because honestly, it's a job that the P-Association had screened and thought it wasn't worthy of your time, Tenshouin-senpai. But... the client was very demanding and kept sending the request over and over again. It's nothing worth caring about," Anzu answered hastily.
Eichi was intrigued, with an eyebrow raised and leaned closer towards Anzu who could still stand her ground despite anything that could and would be thrown to her.
"You can always whisper to me, if you don't want the others to know. Since it involves me, there's no reason why I should not know, should I?" Eichi asked.
"But... but it's-" Anzu said, looking at the other members who were in between giving them privacy and leaning closer to finding out what was going on.
"Let me decide whether it's worthless or not. And even if it is, I am too curious to particularly let it go. So why not indulge me?" Eichi interrupted Anzu, who frowned but ended up whispering to Eichi as he bent down and paid attention. He rose up with a neutral expression.
"Oh, I understand. I never expected that we would be found out so easily. Fans can be surprisingly intuitive, huh?" Eichi sighed, relishing the shocked expression that suddenly graced Anzu at his statement.
"How cruel of you, Ecchan. To say something like that and keep us in suspense. So are you going to tell us, or..." Ritsu piped up, as the more curious members waited with bated breath for what Eichi would say next.
Which completely made them lost their marbles.
"I'm just surprised. I never expected that people have found out Shiratori-kun was actually a secret Tenshouin after all."
"Wait, what? So Shiratori-kun and Eichi-Onii-chan are actual..." Hajime said, hands straight to the mouth.
"There is absolutely no way that Aira-kun can be related to someone as twisted as you!" Hiyori declared.
"A secret Tenshouin, huh...? Is this just part and parcel of being from a rich family?" Ritsu asked.
"Aira-san... does he know?" Tatsumi asked.
Eichi held a hand on his own mouth, as if he was not supposed to have said such a thing in the first place but what he was doing was holding back his laughter, because he couldn't believe that most of FLAVOR fell for his little prank hook, line and sinker.
Because what Anzu had whispered to him was not about Aira being a secret Tenshouin and yet...
Anzu looked confused, looking between everyone and Eichi took the time to whisper back to her:
"Let's make a little experiment out of this. Depending on how many people believe in this, then maybe there will be a merit to taking this job. Let's see how many people believe Shiratori-kun and I are brothers."
From there, Eichi had a jolly good fun dropping this bombshell and later stating it was a prank. It wasn't long until others have caught wind although he made sure it never came back to Aira or Rei because he didn't want the latter to inform the former of anything but he gotten enough results and the job that was supposedly 'not worth caring about' was accepted.
For both Eichi and Aira.
***
"Huh? How much people believe that we were brothers???" Aira asked, eyes widening like saucers as Eichi repeated himself of the little experiment that unknowingly took place in the dorms and repeated himself.
"Mashiro-kun threatened to drop kick me if I hurt your feelings, Subaru-kun was glad you didn't grow up as twisted as me and Keito thought he should have seen the resemblance and lectured me to let you down on this gently. Chiaki congratulated me on my newfound little brother. Tsukinaga-kun wanted to call you Tenshi-chan and knew there was something familar about you. Kagehira-kun almost punched me for no reason at the reveal before Narukami-kun stopped him but warned me not to do anything bad against you. Tori-kun was planning to treat you better as my little brother and Wataru could only shout 'Amazing' at this surprise twist. I wasn't able to ask everyone else, but generally, people actually believed you were my little brother."
"So I was never going to beat the little brother allegations?" Aira mumbled into his hands, back to cupping his head in them after the whole story was spelled out for him. He couldn't believe this... And also...
"You just did that 'experiment' for laughs, didn't you, Tenshouin-senpai?" Aira accussed, coming out more as a mumble because he saw no point in that experiment that would mean to accept or reject the job request.
Eichi held a hand over his mouth, but did not comment.
"I can't believe they thought..." Aira continued mumbling, still in disbelief.
"Well, some people certainly thought of it. Apparently, the fans too. But I did not expect a fanfic of it," Rei said.
"Please send that to me later, Shiratori-kun," Eichi piped in, "I need to read that when I need a good laugh, and know what I need to follow~"
"Wait... Tenshouin-senpai, don't tell me you are planning to recreate the events of that fanfic," Aira cried out, really not wanting him to make Apollo and Simpson powers come true within that crack fanfic.
Anyone who had read the fanfic and witness it coming true without even daring to imagine that their idols read the fanfiction... they might truly believe they were living in some alternate universe and have their reality crash around them. The last thing anyone wanted would be those kind of mind games.
Eichi smiled, as he asked, "What do you think, Shiratori-kun~"
"Stop bullying Shiratori-kun, Tenshouin-kun. You don't have to send it to him if you don't want to. But... if you find any good fanfics about my brotherly dynamics with Ritsu, please send them to me. I need them for material to update my PowerPoint," Rei said, not subtly at all.
"That's not fair," Eichi said and not whined, although it was very close to it, "Shiratori-kun, if you send him any fanfic, you have to send me some to, about us. I refuse to be outdone by Sakuma-kun's Power Point."
"You are not even bothering to hide that you are scared of my presentation, are you Tenshouin-kun?" Rei teased.
Before Eichi spoke up, Aira decided that he had to do his duty of mediator before any PowerPoint wars started, let alone continued. After enough time (almost) getting used to his roommates, the role of mediator (had to be) second nature to him (without any embarrassment, stay strong Aira! Fight on!)
"Mo- moving on from that," Aira hastily changed the subject without even answering whether he will send said fanfiction, "What kind of show do you want me to put in with you, Tenshouin-senpai?"
"Don't worry. It's just a normal duet, and also some emceeing to show off a 'brotherly' relationship. While we are at it, we have to dance in a way that showed off the outfits our client wanted to fit us in," Eichi said with a smile.
The job was from a rich client who had come across rumors about the Eichi and Aira brother theory and looking at the blondes side by side, had decided that he was sold on the theory but did not particularly care if the headcannon was not even truth as long as he could get the both of them to star in his outfits in a promotional ad in that brotherly fashion.
The reason why the P-Association did not bother showing the job to either Eichi and Aira was because the client was particularly manic or more accurately a touch too passionate in requesting for both idols which sent disturbed vibes among the association and unaminously rejected it while sparing Eichi and Aira the grief of such a request. But they underestimated the passion of the client as he aggressively sent his request over and over without giving up.
When Eichi found out about it, he had better connections to screen the client that sent the request and found nothing shady which was partly the reason why he accepted the request of his own accord. Now, it was all down to Aira who had yet to accept or reject the job offer even when he was asking more about the details.
Aira was not exactly sure how he felt about well... all that from happening under his nose, that even Tatsumi never mentioned a word about it to him but Aira felt like he could trust Eichi on such a job offer and dueting with the revolutionary idol he truly admired. He would be a fool not to say no! And thus, he told Eichi that he accepted the job.
But for some reason, it did not stop him from feeling annoyed about the whole 'prank' in hindsight. He respected his idol senpai, but at the same time he had also accepted how eccentric ES was and that they were also human, blasphemous as that thought sometimes was.
Even Aira was willing to let go of his idol worship to 'prank' back his roommates for good fun when he had enough because this time, not even praise would pacify the mischief that he was feeling.
And once again, on the job, it would be realized why Aira Shiratori should not be underestimated...
