Hand in Hand

A/N: Happy birthday Aira! For this bday fic, I decided the perfect chapter to go through is beautiful friendships and conspiracies. Also, I will die with these friendships and I am thinking why are HappyEle cowards for not giving us ALL these dynamics and make an ES story out of it already. But that's just coz I'm a serious biased AiraP here. At least that's where fanfics come in, to give me that good Aira content. On with the show.

"This is low even for ya, Bou," Kohaku spat as he was seated opposite of Tsukasa with a table between them preventing Kohaku from acting rashly if his twitching hands weren't an indication of such, "Draggin' Rabu-han into this? Into kidnapping me again?"

Aira was standing a little ways behind Kohaku, not knowing how to react about being called out as an accomplice of kidnapping. Tsukasa, who had been maintaining a stoic facade, now showed slight discontent as he disagreed with Kohaku's statement.

"I will not let you call this kidnapping," Tsukasa stressed out, "This is just Shiratori-kun helping me find an opportunity to talk with you because lately you have been avoiding me and all I wanted was a friendly chat."

"What makes ya think I have been avoidin' ya?" Kohaku asked, "I'm jus' busy and if that means I didn't have time fer ya, then I'm sorry but that doesn't mean squat. It doesn't justify this."

"You have been avoiding me," Tsukasa stressed out, "And not only me but Shiratori-kun as well. This is why we joined forces. All we want is to know why you have been avoiding us and then you can go your merry way."

"Are ya sure ya ain't a kidnapper? That's a villain line right there," Kohaku scoffed, as he looked towards Aira, "Rabu-han... did ya really agree to do this to me? What did Bou say to convince ya to do this?"

Aira shuffled from side to side, but gave no answer. Really, it was as Tsukasa had said, with Kohaku's avoidance making Aira worry. So when Tsukasa suggested they get to the bottom of this together, Aira had no reason to disagree and when Tsukasa came up with a plan, Aira had no reason to refuse because as a respected senpai and idol, how could any thought-up plan of his go wrong?

Among many eccentric idols that Aira had thus far met in ES, Tsukasa had always been down-to-earth despite his more passionate and slightly hot-headed nature in regards of his competitiveness. Their meetups in study sessions and hangouts did not diminish that impression. So, he had been pretty sure that whatever plan they were going to act on would not be as eccentric, bonkers or slightly cuckoo that Aira had experienced for himself from Pretty 5, his unit and his own roommates at times.

He honestly should have known better but he had conveniently forgotten who led Knights into kidnapping Kohaku during the MDM.

So, imagine his utter surprise when the plan went off the rails with... bodyguards from the Suou family, scenes worthy of any action movies because Kohaku... no, Aira didn't feel like relieving the insanity. At least until it was a few days later where he can surely look back and laugh at the whole debacle. At least he thought it would be a few days later.

But right now, it was too fresh and shocking to enact such a light hearted reaction out of Aira. Honestly, the icing on the cake had been when it would have kept going if Aira didn't...

The only thing he would remember out of that one was Kohaku cursing at Tsukasa:

"Ya won this time but only because I can't bring myself to make Rabu-han feel worse and making that face... Guh, to have such a-"

Aira shut down the memory. He really didn't feel like remembering.

"... I didn't think it would turn out this way either, Kohakucchi," Aira quietly admitted, "But Suou-senpai had been right about you avoiding both of us, and I..."

"Ya do know that kidnappin' is not an answer to problems like these, no matter what that school Yumenosaki taught ya," Kohaku bitterly said to Aira's words.

"Hey!" Aira exclaimed, decisively latching on one part of Kohaku's words and continued, "Yumenosaki is a respected idol academy. It's not like it's a school for criminals. Certainly, Yumenosaki does not teach people to kidnap of all things."

Kohaku only shot a doubtful look at Aira, and he sincerely did not know why. After all, Kohaku did not attend Yumenosaki so he wouldn't exactly have time to even experience anything that would prove the 'school's penchant to teach kidnapping' statement. Sure, Knights were infamous for kidnapping, which only happened twice as far as people were concerned and the second one was considered by the public as a sort of performance act but he was fairly sure that no other Yumenosaki unit indulged in crime.

Tsukasa cleared his throat, maybe feeling like that the conversation was going off course and reverted it back, by saying, "Don't think just because you revert the topic away from yourself that we would get away without any answers. For what reason would you avoid us? You do know that if something is troubling you, you can talk to both of us instead of shying away. This will just make us worry about you more."

"Stop acting like a big brother after the wringer ya put me through. Ahh... I just wanted some alone time but I didn' want ta make ya worry like this either. Sorry 'bout that, Rabu-han," Kohaku said.

"Hey, why are you not apologizing to me too?" Tsukasa demanded, but Aira focused on Kohaku, and since he was too much into this already, he decided to resign himself and go along with the original objective.

"If you just wanted some alone time Kohakucchi, you could have just texted me and I would have understood. Instead, you have been ignoring my messages. Whenever you see me, you would look away and run off the other way. ... Why?"

Aira felt sad when thinking such incidents, because he had no idea what he had done to cause such coldness from a good friend.

"I admit that I really shouldn' have ignored ya like that. Honestly, you actually have caught me at the wrong times n I've been super busy that I forgot ta address that. Honestly 'm at fault here and I really should have texted ya about it. Can you please forgive me, Rabu-han?"

"I do forgive you, Kohakucchi. Honestly, you shouldn't have worried us like that," Aira said, relief washing over him that it was because he was busy. Honestly, they really shouldn't have gone through such crazy things to corner Kohaku like this if it were that simple.

"Wait a minute," Tsukasa butted in, a dissatisfied expression on his face, "You are being inconsistent here. At first you said it was because you wanted some alone time but then you said it was because you are busy. You have been hiding something more than that, because I have caught you talking to someone on the phone and when I've asked, you said it was none of my business and just ran off."

"Bou, we are in different agencies," Kohaku argued, "You do respect confidentiality when it comes to agency-exclusive work, don't you?"

"Not if it had to do with vengeance," Tsukasa said and Aira had to look up the dictionary on his phone while muttering vengeance in his best English pronunciation to find the word and realize it's meaning about revenge. He then did a double take to Kohaku who seemed to understand languages better than Aira and narrowed his eyes at Tsukasa.

"Don't you know it's rude to listen in on someone's phone calls? Or that maybe you misheard?" Kohaku asked Tsukasa who refused to back down.

"It was a coincidence, and you are avoiding my question. Did I mishear Kohakun? Or are you really enacting vengeance against someone, which was why you are avoiding both of us in the first place? So we don't have to get involved in your own mess."

The accusations piled on top another, as a wide-eyed Aira could only process this newfound development and look at Kohaku who silently listened to the condemnation without warranted interruption in his own defense. He had yet to deny about the phone call and Aira was starting to worry a little but he felt that Tsukasa's own defense was a little flimsy.

Although he pointed out that Kohaku had been inconsistent with saying that he was avoiding them because he needed some alone time and being busy, they are not mutually exclusive from each other, as Kohaku would need the alone time for his business. But adding Tsukasa's newfound revelation about Kohaku's avoidance centering around vengeance, what if Kohaku wanted to be alone for business involving vengeance?

After all, Kohaku had unfortunately involved himself in dark sides and doing 'dirty work'. When they had converse online all those years ago until they abruptly cut the connection for unknown reasons, Aira already had an inkling that Kohaku didn't exactly live a normal life like Aira but he was worried about Kohaku going down the wrong path.

He didn't want to idly stand by as a friend if that were the case.

Kohaku seemed to notice Aira's turbulent thoughts and emotions when giving a side glance and had a hardened look against Tsukasa when he said, "Look what ya are putting in Rabu-han's head. I can't believe you Bou. So, you don't want me to avoid yer question, huh? Then I will lay it out plain and simple for both of ya. Ya misheard Bou. I am not enacting some vengeance scheme."

Tsukasa sighed as he said, "How long do you think we've known each other Kohakun? I can tell when you are lying to me. So why don't you tell me the truth?"

Kohaku huffed in annoyance before saying, "What do ya mean how long we known each other? I've only met ya a fair few times back in our childhoods and we didn't see each other again until now. Ya know nothing 'bout me. I 'm telling the truth. Don't ya believe in me, Rabu-han?"

Tsukasa only said, "So cold Kohakun. I will have to rectify this by giving you a lot of love later but Shiratori, I know you have known Kohakun through many online meetings before and you can also tell that he is lying, right?"

Aira can't believe he was put in the spot like this and it took all of him not to squirm under those desperate stares. He had to mentally review what had been said and analyzed both Kohaku and Tsukasa's arguments.

Like Tsukasa, Aira would like to say that he had known Kohaku for long but they had only texted each other as online friends before losing connection for many years and didn't see each other until meeting real life around the same time that Tsukasa and Kohaku had their reunions of sort. As far as relationships go, Aira was in the same boat with Tsukasa concerning the so-called time, with how hanging out with someone online differed with real life, he had spent with Kohaku before not seeing him and finally meeting again.

Yet, Tsukasa confidently stated that Kohaku was lying big time. Unfortunately, Aira would not have the same confidence and as much as he wanted to believe Kohaku like his friend wanted, there was something that stopped him. After his mental review, he eventually understood what was bothering him.

"There's one thing that I want to ask first, Kohakuchhi," Aira said, "Will you stop avoiding us now?"

That was something Aira wanted to know for sure before he enacted the final judgement.

"Well..." Kohaku said hesitatingly, raising a red flag for Aira already. Aira decided to use that face again, just in case Kohaku wanted to lie his way through this. He looked away, unable to answer and silence was unfortunately enough of an admission.

"As much as I want to believe you Kohakucchi, I don't think that just because you wanted some alone time or were busy that you had to run away from us like that. I greeted you personally during those times and you just run off without explaining yourself. Even if you were busy, you could have just said so back then and make us stop worrying. You... you wouldn't have run away from us or avoided us in the first place like that, unless you are hiding something from us."

"So you believe Bou over me?" Kohaku asked, slightly disappointed as if to counter Aira's effect on Kohaku and while it took all of Aira not to wince from such a feeling but Aira remained steadfast.

"I don't believe the vengeance scheme," Aira said resolutely, "At least not without definite proof. But I feel like you might be hiding something more, Kohakucchi. Wanting alone time and getting busy can't be the only reason you avoid us like that."

"Not you too, Rabu-han," Kohaku said, shoulders hunched in near defeat, "I thought ya forgiven me..."

"I still do Kohakucchi, but I want to know the truth. I also want to know if you would still avoid us even after all this," Aira pleaded once again, amping up the puppy dog eyes and hoping he would speak truth.

Kohaku looked away, which was pretty much admitting his guilt because he did not want to lie to his face. A confirmation that saddened Aira more than anything. What was he hiding from them? Aira felt like they were barely scratching the surface. From what they so far knew and speculate, Kohaku had been outright avoiding both Aira and Tsukasa, with a mysterious phone call about vengeance that unfortunately does not paint any good context.

Tsukasa seemed to reach the same thought as Aira, face hardened as he stood up over Kohaku and eyes drilling at Kohaku's own.

"So you really have lied to us, Kohakun," Tsukasa said slowly, "And you still plan to avoid us, but to what end? Will you really not tell us...?"

"Don' get on the higher ground like this, Bou," Kohaku retorted, standing up for himself like a man at his last straw, "Whatever I've been doing, ya still had no right to kidnap me. I don' even know why I have ta put up with this when I can just leave."

"Not until you tell us everything," Tsukasa stood firm, "Even if it means I have to hold my ground against you, but your onii-chan really worries about you."

"We are not even brothers like that, but are ya sure that ya really wanna square up against me of all people?" Kohaku asked, smug smirk curling up his lips in contrast to Tsukasa's deadpan expression. Tensions were running high between the both, with revelations and accusations when they were trying to figure all this out.

"Wait, violence is not an answer, Kohakucchi, Suou-senpai...!" Aira shouted, trying to come in between them before it really would become the alleged answer to this tense stand off. Both had given each other dirty looks that held no true malice, maybe something that only siblings have although being distant cousins as far as Aira knew about their family dynamic, before finally backing down.

"How long are you going to keep this farce?" Kohaku huffed, still standing up and slowly inching towards the door, "You can't keep me here forever and we are all busy with our own agencies."

Tsukasa and Aira looked at each other, both thinking whether they can give up right now when they still hadn't gotten anything from Kohaku but lies and omissions. Unfortunately, they were at a stalemate even with the duo ganging up on Kohaku who's stubbornness easily matched their own combined. One of the parties had to give in and unfortunately, Kohaku's sound argument won out.

So when Kohaku reached the door and opened it to exit, no one stopped him. Realizing that, he had looked back on them with a small smile of triumph before his face fell into a more serious expression.

"'M glad you guys finally see sense. I will see y'all later. Next time ya don't have to kidnap me for one-on-one talk like this, y'know? Really Bou, please don't drag Rabu-han into this kind of mess again."

With those last words, Kohaku shut the door and Tsukasa and Aira looked at each other.

"We are not done here, aren't we, Suou-senpai?" Aira asked.

"Not even close, Shiratori-kun," Tsukasa answered solemnly.

***

So they have gone stalking Kohaku which felt less of a crime than the kidnapping stunt they pulled off but made Aira no less uncomfortable because it was still a crime. Yet, they were absolutely determined to find out why Kohaku had been avoiding them and why he couldn't just tell the truth when he still ran away from them to avoid, phone at hand discussing something or other.

Unfortunately, they would always be too far to hear what was actually going down or cannot get anything when he abruptly ends the call the moment he spotted Aira and Tsukasa. It felt frustrating and although Kohaku was entitled to his freedom, it was an extremely curious situation which Aira wanted to get to the bottom of. Especially if it explained Kohaku's avoidance in a satisfactory way.

They only made a breakthrough when they found Kohaku meeting up with Hiiro, an unusual combination in Aira's eyes because while Kohaku and Hiiro were close friends with Aira, both of them were not as close despite the obvious link as if their circle of friends rarely intersected with each other. The duo were in deep discussion and while Aira and Tsukasa chose to risk it by getting closer, they could only hear snippets.

"... vengeance finally ours, Hiiro-han."

"Umu, everything is almost prepared Kohakucchi-san. But what about Aira and Tsukasa-kun? I heard-"

"They really went overboard, but it doesn't matter. It will soon be over and we can-"

"Wait a minute, I feel like someone might be eavesdropping us over-"

Aira didn't waste any time, knowing how perspective Hiiro could be and raced away with Tsukasa, hand immediately on the other's arm to pull him away before either Hiiro or Kohaku could notice them. Aira's mind raced with what he heard, thoughts spiraling and confused as ever. Tsukasa kept a serious expression.

"Shiratori-kun," Tsukasa announced, "At least we know our next move."

Aira nodded, feeling very much like a detective solving a mystery but had no idea how Hiiro factored in it. Unlike Kohaku who unfortunately had been avoiding Aira in the past few days, Hiiro had been his same old self. For the life of him, he could not remember anything that would cause Hiiro and Kohaku's conversation. The fact that Hiiro was in this too, with a vengeance scheme of all things, seemed downright ludicrous to him.

Maybe it was a good  thing that Tsukasa was also there because Aira definitely needed a different perspective about Hiiro if they were to get to the bottom of this. At first, Aira tried to meet up with Hiiro by texting for a simple hangout but was left hanging, of all things. Trying to reason that Hiiro could have actually left his phone on silent and not noticed the message, he tried calling next hoping that the phone vibrated enough to get his attention.

At first, the thing did get through much to Aira's relief but he suddenly got hung up by the sound of beeping on the other end. In shock, he texted Hiiro some more to see that he was left on read without any reply. This was starting to feel like Kohaku's situation, and as a cherished friend and unit mate, Aira didn't know how to feel about Hiiro doing this to him, for some reason or other.

"Oh my God," Aira whispered, "Is Hiro-kun also avoiding me? Does... does he know?"

"Calm down, Shiratori-kun," Tsukasa did his best to reassure the young blonde, "So the mystery deepens but that's all the more reason to confront Hiiro-kun. We might as well get answers from him than just speculating."

"But... but how are we even going to corner Hiro-kun?" Aira asked, worry underlying on his tone, "He actually left me on read and hung up on me! By now, he's used to the phone that this has to be on purpose. How are we going to find him like this?"

"If we could find Kohakun when he was avoiding us, we could also find Hiiro-kun. Time is of the absolute essence in finally getting to the bottom of this so let's go," Tsukasa proclaimed, moving forward with Aira hot at his heels.

"Ahaha but this time, please don't go overboard, Suou-senpai," Aira said, but feeling a little light hearted after such an exchange. The situation with Kohaku now adding Hiiro into the mix had perplexed Aira but made him even more determined to understand what the heck was going on. It was like a corkboard with a tangle of red strings that simply did not make sense but they will connect well soon enough. He just needed all the information he could gather.

Eventually, it was Hiiro who found them instead of the other way around.

"So it was really you two that had been eavesdropping on Kohakucchi-san and me," Hiiro remarked.

Aira and Tsukasa had looked at each other, unsure how to proceed from a very true accusation. Own up and say sorry? Deny and ask what he was talking about in the first place?

"Umu, you two must have been really worried for him," Hiiro once again remarked, "And that is understandable but I hope you can endure it for a little while longer."

"Endure? A little while longer? What are you talking about, Hiiro-kun?" Tsukasa demanded, walking closer to Hiiro and taking this new strange momentum to understand what would be going down.

"Unfortunately, I cannot tell you," Hiiro said, "I wouldn't want to make you worry."

"But not telling us makes us worry, Hiro-kun? What in Tatsun-senpai's God is going on?" Aira demanded, similarly taking a step forward like Tsukasa as he wanted his answers that Hiiro was just dangling out of reach and yet...

"I'm really sorry, but I cannot tell you. This is between Kohakucchi-san and me. I promise that this will be done soon enough and we will tell you everything later."

"Why can't you just tell us now?" Tsukasa demanded.

"... It is just better that you don't know now," Hiiro answered vaguely.

At this point, Aira's mind was full of speculation that he finally blurted out, "Is this because of some vengeance? If... if it actually has to do with something between you and Kohakucchi, don't... don't tell me..."

'Dirty work' once again floated through Aira's mind, something that Kohaku unfortunately associated with for whatever reason that he unfortunately did not know and even or especially with Hiiro's purity and naivete, Hiiro could be susceptible and associate with dirty work using that strength of his and...

Aira knew he was spiraling when his mind started conjuring up a dark imagination surrounding vengeance and dirty work, nothing that can lead to any good and made him worry to no end.

"Aira, it really is not like that!" Hiiro defended, "As a beloved friend, I promise everything will reveal itself by tomorrow at the earliest when everything is prepared and done for but please just trust me and Kohakucchi-san that we are not doing anything bad."

"And please, don't eavesdrop any further. It's just really a private matter. I hope you understand," Hiiro stated, before leaving them be.

When Tsukasa and Aira looked at each other, they knew what their next move was. How earnest of Hiiro as usual, but unfortunately the duo were a little too jaded for it. With such hints from Hiiro about something being prepared and done for at tomorrow the earliest, they knew that the answer to all their mystery is finally at reach.

As much as Aira wanted to wait like Hiiro said, it really was too concerning to let go. He swore if it was nothing too bad, he would not intervene any further and apologize later. No matter what people think, better beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.

***

"And what is this?" Aira cried out at the very next day where he unfortunately had to intervene with Tsukasa, gesturing to... a fleshy something. After their encounter with Hiiro who was more oblivious and gave them better hints than Kohaku, they thought they would be onto something. They had no idea they would stumble upon something like this

He really did not want it to be what he thought it was, although it was pretty obvious at the onset, but when it came to crazy things like this, he had the tendency to misunderstand them, such as Eichi being dead in the hospital because his monitor wasn't beeping and it ended up being all a prank... such as Rei being dead inside a coffin when in actuality, he was just sleeping inside it.

Yeah, it could be one of those misunderstandings. Please let this be one of those-

"Oh, it's a body, Aira," Hiiro said straightforwardly that left no room for doubt but Aira wanted to doubt. Aira refused to accept this reality.

"A body that is?" Aira asked, still in denial.

"Fake," Kohaku asserted and Aira slumped his shoulders in absolute relief. So it is a misunderstanding!

"Wait, that still doesn't make any sense," Tsukasa pressed on, "Why do you have a fake body? And where did you get the fake body? In fact, what is on it???"

"Calm down Bou," Kohaku said, slight irritation at the rapid fire questions although Aira knew it was valid with the circumstances that were happening to them now. In fact, it surprised how chill Aira felt after knowing that his expectations when discovering... that ended up being a misunderstanding and treated this as normal.

As if any of this is normal! However, too much strange things happened to idols so strange is the new norm! Aira was finally desensitized by it although he could still deliver a great straight man retort because he knows deep down this will never be normal.

"Umu! We have a fake body for a prank! We got this body from Oukawa-kun's contacts. And there is blood on the body!"

"Wait. Fake blood, right?" Aira asked, unknowing why he asked in the first place. The body is fake right so that meant the blood is fake too.

"I don't know, Aira!" Hiiro answered enthusiastically.

...

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW???" Aira screamed. Why can't it be a simple yes? Why wasn't it a simple no either, although that would be more terrifying but...

"Back up, you said this was supposed to be a prank. Since you two are working on this together, and you have been avoiding both Shiratori-kun and I as of late... Could this prank be meant for us?" Tsukasa asked, his brows raised at amazement similar to Aira's now at the revelation he pulled out now.

Now Aira couldn't help feeling horrified while Tsukasa looked miffed, "And of all ways to prank us, you chose a fake dead body with probably real blood? I don't know what you thought to achieve with something like this but this was done in poor-"

"Enough already, Suou-Nii-han," Kohaku said, effectively shutting Tsukasa up not because of the interruption but the way Kohaku addressed Tsukasa other than 'Bou' which made him happier and allowing Kohaku to continue on without interruption, "This prank was not for you and Rabu-han. In fact, it's for someone else..."

"Also, it's reactions like that the reason we have been avoidin' ya. We knew you would blow ya tops which me and Hiiro-han didn't want."

"We just didn't want you guys to worry," Hiiro confirmed.

"Of course we would blow our tops and worry," Aira stressed out, "But don't you think that would happen a lot less if you just told us from the beginning what you have been doing?"

Aira felt vindicated when Hiiro and Kohaku looked sheepish at his statement. Good, he still hadn't gotten over that fake body with whatever unknown substance he would rather not know in hindsight.

"You have said that this was for someone else," Tsukasa spoke up, "Who is it, if not us?"

"This is for Nii-san!" Hiiro admitted.

"Eh, Rinne-senpai?" Aira asked, shocked. Considering that Kohaku had ranted about his unit leader a fair few times to Aira, he wasn't surprised that Kohaku would retaliate like this but Hiiro with something that could actually be called a brother complex to Rinne, why would
Hiiro do something like that to Rinne?

"I can see why ya would be confused," Kohaku said, noting Aira's incredulous look towards Hiiro who obliviously didn't know why it was directed to him, "But Hiiro-han had agreed to be a part of it when he was told that this was to teach Rinne-han a thing or two considering his behaviour as of late."

"I respect and love Nii-san," Hiiro followed up Kohaku, "But there are times that I cannot stand his behaviour, during MDM and even now. If there was some way, even a little, to help Nii-san better behave himself, then it is my duty as a vassal and little brother to try it out."

Somehow, the logic doesn't make sense and yet seemed perfectly suited for Hiiro. When it came to Hiiro, he had stopped questioning things like this and went with the flow. Tsukasa had a harder time processing as his eyes swung back and forth between Hiiro and Kohaku before ultimately deciding to keep quiet himself.

"Hmph, if it has come to this, let us join you!" Aira declared, much to the surprised 'Eh's coming from the rest of his peers.

"Rabu-han, wha- why do you want to join us?" Kohaku asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" Aira scoffed, "To pay back for scaring us like this in the first place. And avoiding us when you could have let us join you in the first place. I, for one, would not have said no if you asked me instead of avoiding like this."

"Me too," Tsukasa backed up, "This could have all been avoided if you had just asked us instead of letting us figure out from your suspicious behaviour. I demand compensation, especially by letting us join you and not pushing us away."

While such a statement could have been proclaimed because of a petty grudge, large and small, against Rinne Amagi who seemed great at amassing them from ES idols or others in general, Aira really just didn't want to be left out anymore. Neither did Tsukasa, after all this time.

Hiiro and Kohaku looked at each other, in a silent discussion, before turning back to them as the latter said, "Alright."

"Now, let's get rid of this dead body before anyone else other than Rinne-senpai finds it. I know the perfect place this should actually be before alerting others," Aira smiled mischievously.

"Oh, and where is that Aira?" Hiiro asked curiously, and he was not the only one who wanted to know when the other two looked at him with the same question in their eyes.

When Aira told them, the rest had their minds blown with Kohaku simply asking:

"Rabu-han, do you have some pent-up grudge against Rinne-han or what?"

Aira smiled and didn't say nothing which might have felt scary to the others but they went ahead with the plan anyway.

It was from then on that the quartet had enacted the most blood curdling prank against Rinne Amagi, reinforcing the fake dead body with Aira and Tsukasa's creative touches and slight manipulation at the former's part. Considering Aira feels a little intimidated by Rinne, seeing him so scared actually felt refreshing. And no, he's not a sadist for that.

Getting a high off that, those four would have a bonding friendship that will only scream chaos when one stumbles upon a problem and the rest follows to help that one solve said problem. There were quite a few adventures that might go down in ES history if they have not been covered up, but that was for another time.

A/N: In another world, this will end up with a Hiikohaaikasa poly because nothing's more romantic than plotting how to deal with bodies and y'all will thank me later. Like we have seen Hiikohaai but why have we not seen Hiikohaiikasa? The potential, people! Well, yeah, there is the fact that Kohaku and Kasa are distant cousins ... And of course, I'm kidding because I'm too platonic for all that honestly. But let's have their friendship go down in history. Imma start a cult now to believe in this platonic quartet. SERIOUSLY, I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE THE STRONGEST FRIENDSHIP EVER. Prelude right here. The day they have an ES scout together or a story together is the day I die and get resurrected. Once again, happy birthday Aira and embrace the chaos, the love and the happiness with this newfound friend group. Let Aira love, be feral, worry for his friends and be feral some more. Yes, I said feral twice <33 For that little meow meow.
