Tenth Chapter

-Are you looking for someone, Milady?

Oh oh. The stunningly attractive guy. Without answering, I walked pass him.

-Milady! Elizabeth!

Wait... what? He knows my name... Why does he... I am lost.

-How.. do you know my name?

-I am a companion of Cornelia's. She had the grace to tell me your name.

-But, I just told her!

-She said that your name was Lizzie, wich is a lovely nickname. I thought about it and guessed your true name.

-Even her couldn't found out that Lizzie wasn't my real name! She calls me Liz'!

-I was written intelligent, Milady. I would gladly help you in your research. What are you looking for?

-Elia, I lost her and I'm kind of a beginner, so I don't know what to do.

-May I help you?

-Why do you speak that way? And why are you so nice to me? I haven't done anything.

-You do not need to prove yourself worthy of my kindness, I act this way with everyone. I talk like I do because I was raised to.

-Well, you and your manners can go home, I don't need your help.

He just looked at me absently. He seemed so far away, like he came from an other realm. He was quite a character.

-Are you from Earth?

-No, I come from Beglia.

-Where?

-It's a magical place known not by Human kind.

Why is there so many secret-mystical-undiscovered-by-humans-places? Nerilium and now Beglia, there must be way more.

-Is there something I could do to help you seek the lovely Cornelia?

-Woah, loverboy! She's like half your age!

He looked at me while smiling.

-I have no interest into the sweet girl, trust me.

-I'm glad to hear it.

I turned my back once again to search for "the sweet girl". She's so small and this mall is so big. "The lovely Cornelia" is no where to be found. Damm it. Suddenly, I heard someone calling out for me. It must be her! At least I hope so. I made a move to go through the crowd and reach that voice, but somebody else caught hold of my arm.

-Hey, would you let go?

-Where are you going?

Ah. Him. I forgot about him.

-I think I found her, but you need to let go of my arm, please.

-Please? I am not use to that much kindness coming from you.

He's beginning to get on my nerves. Why can't he just talk like everyone? Plus, he's so nice... He makes me think of Lottie...

-Look, I gotta go now. See ya.

-Let me come with you, Milady. It has been a while since I have seen Lady Cornelia.

-God... when will you stop acting like that?

-Like what, Milady?

-First, stop calling me that. I'm no Lady, trust me.

-Second?

-Stay still, I don't need you.

He took a pause and started thinking, just like that, out of nowhere.

-Why did you build those invisible walls around your fragile soul?

-You've said it yourself, it's fragile...

What is he doing? It's no time for a heart moral...

-Now, would you let me find her?

-Absolutely.

I looked down at his hand still holding my arm.

-Here's a hint, I can't go away if you play the chains with me.

He took his hand off me like he just noticed that he was still touching my arm.

-Accept my apologies.

-Yeah, sure whatever.

I walked toward the agglomeration of people, trying to find Elia.

-Hey, Milady?

Seriously? Not again!

-What do you want? Could you leave me alone! Sorry to expose it in your face but I hate you and your manners and all of that. So, please, could you stop stalking me?

Oops. Man, I hate my filter problem! I really need to work on that. I can't help but be angry at him. It's only because he makes me think of my Lottie and I don't know if I'll see her soon and it bugs me. Thus, everyone here is so nice with me and it makes it worse. I really do miss her. I looked up to see if I hurted him. He seemed lost, like he didn't know what to do next. Finally, he said:

-I found her...

-Huh? Ah, Elia. I'm sorry for what I said. I wasn't feeling great and I took it out on you. It was not very nice of me.

-You were right...

-About what?

-You are no Lady.

He walked away. I didn't mean to hurt him. I can't control myself. I say everything that goes through my brain, whether it's nice or not. Next time I'll see him, if I do, I will apologies to him. He's lucky, I'm not used to say sorry meaningfully.
Someone grabbed my shoulder and made me turn toward himself. Or should I say "herself".

-Elia! Here you are!

-You mean "here YOU are." I've looked everywhere for you. Where were you hiding? You're lucky that Al saw me, otherwise you wouldn't had exit alive from here.

-I wasn't the one hiding, I didn't move an inch. By the way, who's Al?

She gave me a "seriously girl, you don't know?"-look.

-The guy you were talking with...

-The stunningly attractive one!

Crap. C'mon Lizzie, you need to control yourself and the words you let go of your mouth! Anyway, she already knew since she knows every words that has been spoken or written.

-Yeah, that's Allistair, she said between two laughters. Let's find you some clothes, shall we? Grab my arm, Milady, I shall protect you. I have to admit that his way of talking is pretty old. He's nice, though.

-Don't go talking like him, please. I've suffered enough of this madness for at least three days. I was arsh on him. Do you think he'll forgive me?

-As you wish, Milady. Furthemore, I most hold no grunge against a stunningly attractive lady like yourself.

-Oh no.... please!! No more torture. All of this kindness only makes me even more homesick. Wich I never imagined being. I like my home, but I've always felt out of place.

-Why's that?

We were walking in front of the shops, but we never actually put a foot into them.

-Well, as I said, everybody at my house is nice. And I can't help but feel like a stranger in my family. I'm never gentle! I don't know why I struggle so much with people and their feelings.

Elia looked up at me with a big smile of compassion. I saw that she had a missing tooth.

-I know you can be nice sometimes! You've been just fine with me!

-Thanks, Elia. Where has your tooth go?

-Oh well, Mase fell on me once and my teeth met the cold hearted ground. The dentist said I was going to be just fine, because I have an other tooth waiting to get out.

-You're pretty lucky.

-Yeah, I know.

The shopping went like this until 15h. At this time, we headed back home and I prepared my suitcase. Peter and I flew away in no time. We were now on the way to the main city of Nerilium. Testidium, I'm coming.

Hey guys! I was wondering what you thought about my story yet. I would really like to know. So please, don't be shy and comment. Thanks!
