I got the idea for this chapter from this image 😋

"I get that everyone wants to celebrate the game but why did it have to be a costume party?" Levy asked as she shimmied into a red fluffy knee-length dress. After they won the basketball game everyone had decided on a party. Some genius had the bright idea to make it a costume party and now everyone was ransacking Erza's closet for clothes.

"Just be glad Erza's a horder. We would be toast otherwise." Evergreen said. She had come along with the group, stating that she didn't have any costume to wear.

"Why don't you just wear your fairy costume?" Levy asked.

"Please! That's my uniform. This is for my pleasure."

"I think this is a great idea." Erza said, taking out a tutu dress with a duck head attached to it. "It will give me a reason to wear my more eccentric taste in fashion."

"Um, Erza? Are you going to wear that?" Lucy asked hesitantly.

"God, no! I think it's better if you wear this."

"W-why would I w-wear that?!"

Erza looked at her as if the answer was simple. "Because this is a gift from Natsu of course. Wouldn't he rather see you wear it than me?"

Lucy sweatdrop as she looked at the dress given to her. It was absolutely ridiculous and if this Natsu's taste in fashion then she's never taking him shopping with her.

She suddenly realized there was someone else in the room and she hasn't said a word till now.

"Juvia? Are you alright?" She asked the girl who looked like she was in a daze. She was wearing a blue gown with a small tiara on top, making her a water spirit. She quickly snapped out of her daze when Lucy called her.

"Oh, everything's fine, Lucy-san. Juvia was just thinking."

Lucy waited awhile for her to elaborate but Juvia didn't say anything more. Since she didn't want to annoy Juvia she let it go, but not before saying what was in her mind.

"If you don't want to talk about it then it's okay. But if you do then know I'm here." When Juvia just stared at her blankly she quickly backtracked. "O-or you can t-talk to the others. I don't mean y-you have to talk to me. You were f-friends with them b-before m-me. I-I mean-" 'Someone please stop me before I embarrass myself more.'

"Lucy."

'Oh thank god!' "Y-yes!"

"... Thank you." Juvia said, giving her a bright smile before she got up from her seat and went to Levy to help with her costume.

Lucy smile, glad that she could help in some way. She looked back at the dress that Erza showed her and grimed. No way was she going to wear this to the party.

She was going to go look for another costume when she noticed something.

"Hey Erza, where did you get this?"

Erza looked up from her devil costume to see Lucy holding up a white onesie. "Oh, Natsu gave me that too. It was from his favorite T.V show."

Lucy suddenly realized why this onesie was familiar. When she was young she had seen this same character on a TV screen. Her father never let her watch it much but whenever he left for work she and her mother would watch it together.

'The Adventures of Happy and Plue'

Just as soon as the name came to her she had another realization. Specifically about a blue furred cat named Happy.

"That dork." she muttered with a smile.

"Who are you talking about?" Evergreen asked.

"Oh, um, Natsu? I just fig-figured out he named his cat based on a kid's show." Lucy chuckled awkwardly and Evergreen snorted.

"Let me tell you a secret. Don't let their cool acts fool you. All boys are dorks, especially the popular ones. And if they're not then they are assholes."

"Is-isn't that a l-little h-harsh?"

"That's just how it is. Same for girls. Either they're angels or bitches. Just hard to figure out which one."

"Evergreen, stop corruption her with your negativity." Levy said, already in her red riding hood costume. "So, Lucy. What are you going to wear?"

"Um, I was thinking I'll wear this?" She said showing the Plue costume.

"... Lucy, that's just a onesie. You're not just going to wear a onesie right?"

"W-well, I can wear m-my usual cloths under?"

"No way! This is your first party. We are going to make you glamorous!"

"But-but I re-really like this o-one." She said, really trying to convince them.

"Lucy, I like you, even though you're a giant nerd. But you can't wear that kiddie stuff. They will rip you apart." Evergreen said, getting the approval of others.

Lucy pouted, looking at the discarded onesie. She really liked that one. And it was a costume party. It's not like she'll be the only one who will look ridiculous.

Evergreen must have sensed her disappointment because she turned to her with a suggestion. "How about this? You let us do something special and we'll let you wear that thing."

Not feeling sure but not wanting to doubt her new friend Lucy agreed.

Lucy was suddenly surrounded  by her friends and she was starting to regret agreeing to them because she did not like the look in their eyes.

"Don't worry, Lucy. You'll thank us later."

Dimaria looked around in her devil costume at all the teenagers partying, drinking, and humping each other. It was a bit tame for her but she had to deal with it. She was here with a mission.

Lucy Ashley was growing too much for her to be kept under control. Anymore and her place next to Natsu just might get permanent, no matter how much of a nerd she is. Dimaria couldn't have that.

She watched as more and more people entered the house. The party was at one of the cheerleaders' houses. Cherry or something. Not like she cared.

She watched as the resident drunkard, Cana, drank the boys under, wearing a swimsuit as a costume.

"Mari, I don't want to stay here anymore." A voice said quietly from her right and she had to force herself not to roll her eyes. She had brought Brandish here because she wanted someone who would keep her free from all the other boys. She had a specific one who was going to be the center of her attention today.

"Randi, you should enjoy this! You can't just sit in your pretty room, feeling all stuffed." she said, trying to convince her.

When Brandish still looked hesitant she moved closer, lifting her chin with her finger. "You don't want to disappoint me, do you, Randi?" She said sultrily.

Dimaria knew Randi wanted her as more than just friends with benefits. But she couldn't have that. Her father had given her a job and she was not going to fail twice.

Suddenly all noise stopped except for the music. She looked back to the door to see what happened only to see the nerd.

The nerd... who was wearing a ridiculous onesie.

'This girl is making my job easy.' She thought as everyone started laughing at her. She had her face covered by her hoodie and flanking her were her "friends".

Dimaria was going to "save" the little freak when Erza stepped forward, her dark demon costume making her even more fierce.

"Why are you all laughing?" She asked calmly but the threat in her voice was clear to everyone. Slowly they started talking to each other, trying to keep their eyes away from Erza.

"How about you show your face, Lucy-san?" The water girl asked. Now, this she has to see. They might have given her a little a make-over, especially with Evergreen there and she wanted to know just how good her competition was.

The nerd took off her hoodie and she felt her breath stop. She was absolutely beautiful... and it seems Dimaria wasn't the only one who noticed it.

Her braided twin tail was undone and in waves around her. Her glasses were gone, bringing out her chocolate brown eyes. She had minimum makeup on, framing her face nicely.

'What happened to the four-eyed freak?' She thought as all around her whispered at the reveal.

Behind the beauty, she could see Evergreen and the water girl high five.

"Oh, man! Lucy, is that you?" A shout was heard and the nerd was suddenly enveloped by the drunkard. "Look at you, hot stuff."

"C-Cana-san!"

"What's with the san? Call me Cana like everyone! Or you can even call me later, wherever you want it." She shamelessly flirted causing the nerd to go red. "Oh, look at you! I could just eat you up!"

"Might wanna keep your hands off her Cana. Natsu's coming soon and I don't think he would appreciate you feeling up his girlfriend." Levy said, pocketing her phone.

Dimaria heard Cana's disappointed groan but didn't give notice to it. Natsu will be here soon and she had a feeling playing coy wouldn't help her anymore. She had not been too worried since she met the nerd, figuring it was just Natsu's usual hesitancy to deny anything that caused this relationship. It should have been easy to tear them apart.

But now the playing ground might just be even.

'Enough playing in the shadows.' She thought, moving away from the crowd. 'Time for a more direct attack.'

She never noticed Randi standing there, starstruck by the beauty.

Lucy stayed near her friends as all her schoolmates kept looking at her. She didn't see what the problem was. Her costume was alright compared to some of the other girls who barely wore anything.

And it wasn't just the looks that was making her uncomfortable. It was how different it was. The boys and even some of the girls were looking at her in awe while the others were glaring at her. Frankly, she prefers the glares. At least she knows how to handle that.

"Yo, Lucy! You're legal right?" Cana asked, pushing a drink into her hands.

"Y-yeah, I am."

"Then drink up cutie. We're gonna party all night!"

"Not so fast. The boys are still not here." Erza said. "We also need to choose the designated driver."

"Oh, please! Like that's hard to agree on. It's always Jellal." Cana said, guzzling down a bottle.

"They're here! I just got a text from Gajeel." Levy said and they looked towards the door, not noticing Juvia slowly move away from the gang.

Lucy looked to the door to see Natsu enter with the rest of the basketball team. Only Loke seems to really give any thought to his lion costume, others just wearing cat ears or wigs with their usual clothes. But Lucy was more interested in Natsu's costume.

"What are you wearing?!" She asked with a laugh, seeing the blue onesie. Specifically the blue Happy onesie.

"Cool, right? We're like those matching couples, only weirder!" He said with a grin, causing Lucy to giggle. "Levy gave me the idea."

He showed his phone where a video of her doing a small dance in the Plue onesie. The girls wanted her to do it after seeing her in it. She blushed, seeing the ridiculous dance.

"Levy!"

"What? You looked cute!" Levy said, looking away from her talk with Jet and Droy.

"So what you think, Lucy? Do you like it?" Natsu said doing a ridiculous pose.

"You look hilarious."

"I'll take that as a compliment." He said with a grin, but it faded when he really looked at her face. "Lucy, did you do something different to your face?"

Lucy looked confused for a moment before she realized what he was talking about. "O-oh! Y-yeah, Evergreen-san did my makeup for me."

"I did what I could with what I had. She would have been more stunning if she actually had some fashion sense." Evergreen said, giving a pointed look at Lucy's costume.

Lucy self consciously tugged at her onesie. She had thought it would be a funny idea to wear it to the party, but now she was regretting it with everyone staring.

"D-do you like it?" She asked shyly looking up to see her boyfriend's pink face. He was blushing lightly and Lucy didn't know if it was because of her or not.

"Y-yeah, you look great!" He said, looking away. His eyes tried to look at something else only for his eyes to harden at whatever he found. "In fact..."

He suddenly pulled her towards him by her waist and kissed her in front of everyone. Lucy gave out a squeak at the sudden move, not sure how to react. Her boyfriend was kissing her in front of almost all of the student body and she didn't know what to.

She stayed still, keeping her hands on his shoulders to be safe. But Natsu didn't seem satisfied by that cause the next moment he bit her lips causing her to gasp. His tongue coaxed her to dance with his and she finally let go of everything. She didn't care who was looking, she just wanted to stay in this moment.

He finally let her go and Lucy dazedly took a breath. "W-what was that about?" She asked through lidded eyes.

Natsu smirked looking down at her. "Had to make my claim somehow."

Lucy suddenly realized that everyone who was looking at her before was looking away, some even blushing at the scene they just witnessed. Lucy slowly realized what just happened and quickly moved away from Natsu, secretly cursing at how he was laughing at her horror.

"Alright, enough mushy stuff! Let's pop this girl's metaphorical drunk cherry!" Cana cheered, hugging Lucy from behind and giving her a bottle.

"Wait, you're drinking?" Natsu asked before she could take a sip. She went to answer him but Cana beat her to it.

"Cause she is! Why else would she be at a party?"

Lucy smiled nervously. Frankly, she wasn't sure about drinking but  she wanted to enjoy all parts of high school life, including this.

"Well, guess I'm going sober today." Natsu said eyeing the bottle in Lucy's hand.

"W-what? Why?"

"This is your first time drinking, right?" Lucy nodded and Natsu smirked. "Well, you will need someone to take care of you then. Especially when you wake up tomorrow."

Natsu's words made her a little apprehensive but she decided to take the chance. what's the worst that could happen?

It's been a while but here is the next chapter! I'm not very happy with this one in the beginning but I hope you guys like it.
