THE MIGHTY HAMMER OF THOR! MYSTIC MALLET! MIGHTY MJOLNIR! URU HAMMER! Whatever you want to call it. I'll stick to Mjolnir for this.

Could you lift Mjolnir if it was sitting on a table? You wouldn't technically be lifting the hammer... or would you? If you wanted to lift the table, not the hammer, could you?

From what I can tell. The movie rules for Thor's hammer are basically, "Only living creatures worthy of the hammer may lift it." I know the comic books are different, so don't tell me I'm doing it wrong. XD

But what if it wasn't just living creatures? If it was everything? 

That would make The Avenger's glass coffee table worthy. If no object was worthy Mjolnir would fall to the center of the earth and possibly explode. But Thor's belt must be worthy along with all of his armor and such.

I should do more of this sort of thing more... I think this theoretical stuff.
