Vanessa's POV

I was sitting on the floor, as I watched Grayson working out. He asked me to join him in his work out session but I refused. What can I say? I'm lazy.

After two hours, he was finally done. He started walking towards me, with a playful smile on his lips.

I quickly understood why when he tried to hug me.

"Ew! You smell!" I complained, but I didn't mind, "get in the shower!"

"Only if you come with me" he said, with a smirk.

I pretended to think about it, "uh, no." I laughed as I started running.

"Wait 'til I catch you!" He laughed as he started running after me.

Grayson was in the shower as I was laying on the bed. His phone kept vibrating. A girl kept calling him.

I know I shouldn't but I can't help going through his phone trying to find out who this girl is.
That's when I found this conversation between Gray and a girl named "Chloe"

So are you sure she's never gonna find out?

Yes. I hope she doesn't.

So this is like a secret between you and me?

For the moment yes.
I'm so excited for Saturday night.

Saturday night? We're going to the BTS' concert. What is he hiding from me?
Is he cheating on me?

I heard the water turn off. And soon, gray entered the bedroom with only a towel on his waist.
His eyes went wide when he saw I had his phone.

"What are you doing with my phone?"
he asks, trying to get it back.

I shook my head, "what are you doing behind my back?"

"How much did you read?"

"Enough to know," I said, shaking, "I'm going  to ask you  once, and don't you  dare lie to me. Are you cheating on me?!"

"What? Nessa, what- I have no idea what you're talking about." I didn't know if he was being honest, but he seemed nervous.

"Oh really? Sending messages to girl behind my back! Saying how you hope I never find out!"

"Va- have you lost your mind?"

I let out a bitter laugh, "oh yeah I've lost my mind."

"I could never cheat on you!"

"Then what is it you don't want me to find out?"

"I can't tell you. Not yet."

"Of course you can't." I shook my head, trying not to break down.

He tries to stop me as I left the bedroom.

"Vanessa!" He runs out of his bedroom, not caring that he's almost naked.

"I promise I'm not hiding anything from you."

"Don't lie to me" I said, giving up, letting the tears fall down.

"I'm not lying. Please be patient. I swear you'll find out soon. Please, trust me for this time."

And I decided to trust him on this one.

"I just don't want to get hurt. Especially by you.." I said as he hugged me tight.

"I love you Vanessa, I could never hurt you." He said before kissing my forehead.

Saturday night

"Grayson, we're going to be late!" I complained.

"Nessa, the concert doesn't start before 4 hours!"

"But I don't wanna be late!"

"You won't, just relax," he said, coming out of the bathroom, "come here, I have a gift for you, for tonight."

"What could possibly be better than seeing the BTS in concert?!"

"uh, meeting them?" he said, with a giant smile, waiting for my reaction.

My eyes grew wide, "WHAT? SERIOUSLY?!" I squealed.

"I love you so so so much!" I jumped in his arms, kissing his cheeks repeatedly.

"I also reserved a table for two at a fancy restaurant for after the concert."

"No- you didn't?"

"Yes I did, princess." he laughed as I hugged him tighter.

"You're going to find out." He whispered in my ear, I almost didn't hear.

(You can listen to the music of your choice, I just put this one here because I couldn't find a better one, oops...)

"And here are your desserts." the waiter said as he served us the dessert which was a slice of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.

"Before we start eating, I'd like to say something."

"Hm, okay" I looked at him, confused as he stood up and got on one knee in front of me. "Wh-what are you doing?" I asked as I held my hands in front of my mouth.

"Vanessa, we've known each other for 6 years and 7 months, which already seems like an eternity, but it's never enough. I know you're the only one I want to share the rest of my life with. I can't imagine growing old with anyone else, nor do I want to. When I look into your eyes, I see the future. A future where we are together. I promise you, no one will work harder to make you happy or cherish you more than me. You've always been there for me when I needed you. Life offers many challenges. I know I can meet them if you're willing to face them with me. You make me happy, your smile lightens up my life. I will love you till the end of my life. You complete me. So, Vanessa Jo Merrell, would you marry me?" he asked, nervous.

Everything was silent, every person in the restaurant were looking at us. I didn't know what to say at the moment. Then it hit me. Grayson just proposed to me. This is what he was planning behind my back. And this is what he didn't  want me to find. My smile grew wider and wider.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" I said as I jumped in his arms, kissing him as everyone was clapping and cheering. Grayson looked so relieved.

"I'm sorry for ever doubting you gray, I love you so much."
