[2] 6. You look like a Drunk Sasquatch
We gave her the whole shebang, which included Tiana listening in. From the bar, to the motel. "So after my life story, I decided, for the worlds best interest, I told them something," I paused, "My mom, I'm afraid you don't know this,"
I saw the boys intake a breath, realizing what I meant. I had hid Luke's satanic ways from our mom, I didn't want to worry her. Well, too late. "We had heard news the apocalypse a few years ago, right?" I reminded. My mother nodded, and I looked down at my shiny tiled floors. "Well, Luke was trying to get involved. To free his father," I finally confessed. "No..." She breathed out. "See, Sam and Dean, they're more special than they look," I joked, giving them a sad smile. "They're the true vessels..."
My mother looked at them with new eyes, inspecting them. She had this thing, where by looking into your eyes, she could tell what kind of person you were. Trust me, I'd know. My first boyfriend; I had taken him to meet my mom, and everything was good. The minute my mom and I were alone she turned to me and said something was off about him, that it's in his eyes. 2 months later we broke up, for cheating.
"Lucifer ended up springing the cage, searching out his vessel, which was poor Sam here," I gestured to Sam. "So then Michael, my father, went looking for Dean,"
"Then how'd he get back in? And where's your father?" She asked. Sam and Dean took the story from here, about Adam, and Sam jumping into the cage. "Oh my... Sam," my mother softly whispered. Sam have a thin lipped smile, looking at Cas. "So that's why Luke went off, to find Lucifer? I thought he was just, I don't know, finding himself?" She said. I laughed out loud, having a crude smile. "I wish," I said, now looking up. "And that's the thing. He's trying to do it again,"
My mother groaned into her hands. Tiana stood up, "I need a cup of tea," she murmured.
"I'm going with them. To help," I smiled at my mom, "I'm gonna bring him back,"
*****************
"You know, when we were little, I had a crush on your brother," Tiana laughed. We had been packing my stuff for the past twenty minutes after the intense conversation. "I knew, and he knew," I told her, chuckling. "I was an obvious little girl, wasn't I?" She Laughed, taking a sip of her drink. "Yeah, and maybe because of the note you left,"
Her mouth went agape, "oh my god yes! I forgot about that," we laughed for a good minute. "God, that was terrible..." She breathed. "All ready?" Dean asked, popping his head in the door. Cas was behind him, standing with his hands in his pockets. "Oh, one minute. I have something for you," Tiana smiled, running off. "I'll get the car started," Dean instructed, as Cas walked in.
"This is what you're taking?" He asked, and I nodded, patting the top of my bag. "As much as I can," I murmured. H seemed to just look at me, before shifting a little. "I get your joke now," he blurted suddenly. "What?" I asked, turning to look at him. "When I had you against the wall, you made a joke of "did it hurt when I fell from heaven"," He smiled, "Dean explained it to me. You were making a human joke of me being an 'Angel' like attractiveness, but the pun being that I'm actually an angel," He chuckled, "it's quite funny,"
I let a hearty laugh come up. "That's good, Cas,"
He turned my shoulders to face him. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" He tried, so I decided to mess with him. "No, but I scraped my knees crawling up from hell," I retorted. His brow furrowed, "is this another joke?" He said warily. "Yes Castiel," I replied. Tiana burst through the doorway, making me leap back from Cas, who had been standing extremely close. Tiana gave me a smirk, before handing me a package. "Happy birthday, Mahogany," she smiled, and I took the present. My arms wrapped around her thin figure, "thank you,"
"We'll open it!" She squealed, and I saw Cas smile out of the corner of my eye. It was a small hard black box, a fabric like texture covered it, my name engraved in the front. It opened up to reveal a white velvet interior, soft to the touch. A thick silver ring was rested in the middle. "It's beautiful..." I murmured, sliding it onto my finger. "So now, whoever you go, you have a little piece of home," She assured me. "We've gotta go," Sam murmured, coming through the doorway. "Tell Ryan hi," I said, giving her one last hug. "And I need you to understand something," I added sadly. She nodded her head. "If anyone asks about Sam, Dean, Cas or I; tell them this. I was you're roommate, but I decided to go on a road trip with a few friends of mine. And that's all you know. Please. If anyone asks, call me right away. Don't give my number to anyone suspicious," I explained morbidly, and she let a year go down her face.
I exited the room. I had to, or I would've burst into tears. "Stay safe," my mother said to me, as I embraced her. "You too,"
Sam walked beside me, "should we go?"
"Yeah,"
Suddenly, we were in the front of the building. I looked around in fear, before I realized Castiel had just zapped us. Being a Nephilim, I felt fine, but Sam looked about ready to keel over. "Cas!" He shouted, steadying himself. "I'm sorry, old habits," Castiel apologized, just as Dean pulled up.
We climbed into the Chevy, Sam groaning in pain. "You look like a drunk Sasquatch. What the hell happened?" Dean said warily. "Castiel... Teleportation,"
Dean cracked a smile, "that's Cas for you,"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Castiel asked, looking up. "Forget about it," I assured him.
And with that, we began to leave the only city, and the only home I knew; Miami.
